He can’t believe he’s working for the F4. Kind of. 

Soyeon isn’t actually a stuck-up kid with a horrible perm. None of her equally rich friends have connections with the mob, are professional violinists, or have their pottery in worldwide exhibitions either. They’re not cookie-cutter versions of the infamous drama, but they’re rich. 

Bathtub full of money in a luxurious loft rich. Use won like toilet paper kind of rich. Snap your fingers and it’s yours type of rich.

Only a few weeks ago, he lived off vending machine coffee and cup noodles. The transition from a starving, jobless young man to a personal assistant (read: glorified butler) for the four richest women he’s ever met was a big one. But, he’d never had gone to college if he’d known running errands and keeping busy schedules could pay so well. The mountain of debt he’s accumulated isn’t easy to climb out of, but the paychecks he got from Soyeon, Elly, Wendy, and Yeri were his golden tickets to freedom.

Brown, paper grocery bags crinkle in his hands as he follows behind Soyeon. He doesn’t mean to follow behind her like a shadow. He’s been on his feet for most of the day -- much more than he should’ve been -- and his already stiff walk suffered the consequences. It doesn’t help that he insists on carrying all the bags. That’s what he’s being paid for, isn’t it? 

The shuffling of his clumsy walk comes to a halt and he speaks, each word more breathless than the last. “Miss Soyeon?” he says. “Do you think we could, uh, sit down for a minute? I could get you a drink first, if you want! Maybe fruit juice or something from Starbucks?”
