The streets were empty by the time Leo left his workplace. And it was exactly how Leo preferred it. No crowd, no people, no stares. Just silence, and himself. The boy smiled softly to himself when he just stood there and scanned the area. It actually felt much more refreshing than a while ago when the bar was filled with customers. 

Getting his nightly fill of peace and quiet, Leo started off in the direction of his home. Though it would have been much quicker if he had a car since his place wasn't considered as 'closeby', Leo would rather walk his way there. Granted, he would be complaining if he was exhausted from a night's work. 

Just as he had gotten just two blocks from the bar, he noticed a figure run across the street. As usual, it wasn't any of his business, so Leo continued to walk but not long after, he saw a girl going in the same direction as the previous person was. 

Leo was stumped. He would rather go straight home and not make any detours, but the idea of the girl following the shady looking person at this time of night didn't sit well with him. Although Leo's mother had passed away long ago, he still remembered everything she talk him. One of which was to respect woman, and perhaps it was because of that, he felt obliged to ensure that she was safe even if she was a stranger. 

He quickly slipped into an alleyway and shifted into a griffon. It wasn't the most subtle creature but it was the first thing he thought of. Flapping his wings, he flew upwards towards the roof and then into the direction he saw the man ran. He scoured the skies until he saw the familiar figure before he swooped down towards him, picking him up into his beak before flying straight into another back alley. With the momentum, he let go of the man who ended up hitting the wall and landing in a pile of trash. 

"Oops...." Leo muttered as he landed more gracefully than the other did. At the moment he landed, the griffon shifted back into his human form and walked up to the now unconscious man. 

"....Y..You're not dead, are y-you?"
