had a chat with one of our local ordinands today and usually I steer clear of theological controversies here but I'm just overwhelmed with how good it is that women can be ordained into our anglican church

she has SUCH a clear story of calling to the priesthood that she has had for fifteen years while she tried to not be a priest. this is SO clearly the correct step for her and I am delighted to see her making it - able to make it

#she was one of the kids church leaders in my church when i was a kid #as a fairly young adult i guess around 20-22 at the time?#i haven't seen her in YEARS and then she popped up in my paper i was doing this semester!#and then this last couple days came out to visit the folk i live with #i was not expecting it to be so easy to talk to her #tbh #or the other ordinand who also went to my church when i was a kid #(all the pentes becoming anglican priests apparently)#and really good to talk about the whole changing paths thing! bc i still don't know if i want to be a doctor again #although it has prompted me to try figure out where i put the copy of the oath we took at graduation #p sure that we said the version that included a clause for looking after ourselves to look after others though...#rowena adventures #faith musings
