jacquetta smiled ❝i do not believe i have ever heard turkish spoken before now. it is a lovely langue.❞ she admitted. it flew off his tongue so naturally. then again she had never been anywhere, and her parents could not afford a langue tutor, so she never learned. ❝i am, thank you. i am enjoying seeing all of the work everyone put into their masks. a lot of thought.❞

jacquetta was wondering around the dance floor, trying to appear as if she wanted to be there. thankfully as a widow, she wasn’t prime on any young bachelors mind. she could float around, speak wth some of the older women, enjoy the company of others, and ignore those she did not like. she was walking behind someone when she said excuse me, when the man said something in some langue she had never heard of ❝oh please i am the one not paying attention. it is a lovely evening… i’m sorry what did you say?
At times, it was easy for Kerem to use his mothers tongue, being forgetful that such things would cause confusion. He shook his head, chuckling softly to himself. "Apologies, it is often easy for me to forget -- it means greetings, in Turkish." He nodded softly, tilting his head. "Are you enjoying your evening? I do hope you are enjoying the festivities, you surely deserve it."

His attentions moved from the dance floor, over to the bar where drinks were served. Perhaps his nature was to sit back and observe, a drink in his hand often helped with festivity anxieties. However, as ever, he was keen to make an impression, one of which his family needed in regards to claiming titles. His fathers untimely passing caused uproar, titles of which he was given remained worthless, and he was left to pick up the pieces for him and his sister, Clara. This evening was no different, he remained responsible and knew he needed to consider the future. He wished to gain a life partner, one of which would be by his side, and be truthful to him. For a moment, his thoughts distracted him enough to not notice the person beside him. " Selamlamas, forgive me for my impoliteness " He perked up, his greeting in Turkish, almost forgetting for a moment, a smile on his lips. "The evening is splendid, is it not?"

Friedrich was not excited about the ball. true he was at least here with his sisters, but he knew what would happen. the moment the ton knew a prince was here, he would have not a moment of peace. not that he thought he was so handsome that women would normally fall all over him. in fact, if he were not a prince, most women would over look him. he was shy, not very talkative. he enjoyed spending time with his family, and in particular his aunt charlotte who was queen of england. he enjoyed riding, and wasn’t very competetive, which was not typical looked on as favoriable for a prince or a man. it wasn’t as if he did not want to marry, he just... wanted someone to like him, for who he was. a silly wish, and very predictable of someone of his rank, but it was true. as he walked around the room, thankfully everyone is in masks. friedrich smiled ❝you do not have to apologize. yes it is, very lovely. it is nice and warm, which isn't always common for london.❞
