Guess it's time for the prettiest person in this au-- Starweaver, or Swap!Bow Kid.

As per usual, the common thanks to the two who keep me going here-- @legallymean, who originally designed this beautiful young lady, and @thenotorioushmk, who is genuinely just super cool ok--

She was once known as Bonnie, and was actually a relatively normal kid. Normal for someone who fell from the sky one day, at least. But that's not the point. Back then, she and her two sisters used to play around most of the day, spending time with the princess of the Subcon Queendom. That all changed when Mu was crowned queen, unfortunately. The three sisters were all lost that day-- two judged, and one who fled.

Bonnie made it out of Subcon, for a while. She escaped into the forest, and hid among the trees. She wandered there for days and weeks, until finally, she realized she couldn't find her way home.

Stargazer's full story is told in legends and rumors, little bits of truth among the stories. No one knows who she is, very few ever see her, but she's hidden away in the woods, beyond the traps, the fires, and the vines. If you want to find her... It's said you should follow the moths.

There's no timepieces associated with her, and her actual situation isn't well-known. After all, she's in the place of Moonjumper, so... her involvement in the main part of the story is small.

For a bit of extra information about this design: Her hair is supposed to mimic the clouds and stars, and the tulle layer of her skirt is supposed to look like a galaxy with stars as well. As well, her mask/trademark moth is a luna moth in this iteration.

(Even so, there's definitely more that could be done with her design, and I'm fully aware of it :) Bow is one of the genuinely cutest characters, and I'm just hoping I do her justice!)

Here’s my design for Hatter! This is for a swap au my friend @britishsass and I are working on- Go check out the tag “#owl’s ahit swap au” on their blog for more plot stuff :)

This is Hat Kid, now better known as the Hatter. Once Queen Mu declared that all Bad Guys in her kingdom be purged from the land, Hat Kid decided to question her judgment and look at things for herself. Of course, Mu saw her little investigation and mistook her for a Bad Guy, dropping her in lava before she could even plead “Not Guilty”. Now, she haunts the firey wasteland of what once was Subcon Forest, stealing whatever hats she finds interesting enough to keep for herself. Of course… she often steals hats before checking to see if there’s a head attached first.

Oh, yeah, and she’s also got a law license. Because of course she does.

Its swap au where directors change places with theirs subordinates (sorry for my english there).

Grooves is a proud "dad" bodyguard of three moon penguins. They was a musical pop band, but now trying in film directory. (Not so good, well) Penguins: the star singer one, the handsome flirty one, the Hawaii dj one.

Conductor is still a train conductor, but he is a little shy, awkward and altruistic, so he can't refuse Express Owls directors, who are really bossy. They also often argue about what should be the film: a serious detective or explosive action? And Owls use a Conductor's train as a place for filming (and he can be really nervous about that, cos... you know... explosions and stuff...), and Conductor as an actor, because he have a talent and a interesting appearance. Conductor doesn't know whether he likes acting or not.

Time’s End is an AHIT/Undertale crossover AU of sorts, taking place in the aftermath of a timeline where you lose the final boss fight against Mustache Girl. You can find the write-up here! The CAW Agents replace Muffet in this AU. After Mustache Girl's line of "bad guys" got too long to judge, she gave up on "proper" justice altogether. She uses the CAW Agents as her beaks on the ground, to keep everyone in line. She gave them new uniforms with her insignia, and appointed one CAW Agent that she gave a red outfit as the leader. Nowadays however, the CAW Agents' actions are almost never based on any actual orders from Mu, cause said orders are *no longer coming.* ...Not that the general public would know this, at any rate. Everyone, especially Hat Kid and the Conductor, dislikes them for constantly bugging everybody with asinine questions.

SEE BOIS, PUPPETMASTER ISN'T THE ONLY TRACK I CAN GIVE EXCESSIVE UPDATES TO >:D But fr tho, this should be the last time I touch the Spider Dance for a fat minute. Wanted to swap in some motifs and chord progressions from Fighting Spirit, albeit with a fair few adjustments, and add some more jazzy instruments/parts - especially in the ending section. Also it's only part of the opening (and only a small section of it,) but I FINALLY managed to work an actual motif even vaguely related to the CAW Agents into the melody - Murder on the Owl Express! P happy with how this update turned out, and I hope you guys enjoy! (P.S. I'm well aware this isn't what a lot of you guys prolly wanna see, but rest assured that there are other tracks for this AU in the works. Some have been near-fully conceptualized and need adjustments, while others are in various states of completion.)

HAUNTED HATS (AHIT AU) 

Haunted Hats is an AU where the four kids (Hat Kid, Bow Kid, Mustache Girl, and Timmy) each take the role of Snatcher as rulers of Subcon Forest. This AU shows the swaps, changes, and new characters that would appear in the coming of this major shift! It's meant to experiment with fun swaps and including cut characters and locations, usually swapping them as well!

Hecc yea I saw @promisedangel‘s roleswap au for AHIT  

and I just really like it sooo I wanted to make some ideas for it! Part 1 of I don’t know how many maybe like 2?? Anyways tho they be under the cut

General: Mustache Kid uses small bombs with varied abilities, and requires different powders to create them(as Hat Kid’s hats required yarn to forge).

Hat Girl’s future was caused because a child claiming to be there in the name of justice had set forth a series of events that led to the unwinding of reality itself. When she was sent back in time, she had believed that it was Mustache Kid that commenced these events and as such, set forth to undo everything she did. However, this caused an alternate bad future where she becomes a dictator. After the events of the Base Game, she can be found in a nice hut on the islands near Mafia Town pondering what to do now.

Once Hat Girl was sent backwards, she isn’t able to get back. This was because it was believed that when she fixed the timeline, there would be no need for her to go back in time, thus causing her to be brought back by a strange paradox. Since she wasn’t brought back, she’s trying to figure out what this means.

While Mustache Kid is for reckless justice and generally has a childish view on the matter, Hat Girl wishes to instill rules and laws to prevent these things from occurring, and has a very mature view on it, even if it borders on tyrannical. They are two sides of the same coin, and when pulled to their extremes, both can be very bad.

Hat Girl is from an organization where they go to different realities and times to fix potential catastrophes and paradoxes. She was hired particularly because she’s small enough to be nimble and has the ability to double jump. Keep in mind that they only interfere if it meant certain doom for the universe, or if it was an acopolyase scenario.

The kid that causes the calamity? They haven’t arrived in this timeline yet.

Mafia Town, or called Calico Isles: The Mafia are actually referred to as “Wrong Wallies” by CC and her fans. This is due to how she portrays them in her cooking show. While the Mafia can cook extremely well, they are blackmailed/threatened into intentionally cooking terribly in her show, so that her food looks wonderful in comparison. The person that gets this role a lot is their leader, who’s actual name IS Wallace. This usually happens in the beginning of the episode, where she states the dish she’ll be ‘preparing’(it’s actually cooked by the Mafia’s leader, for an extra dosage of irony), before the Mafia come in with extremely exaggerated accents about how they made the better dish whilst showing the intentionally terrible meal.  There are many cats on this island! Though most of them are cats you won’t see elsewhere (sphinxes, grey cats, etc), though some of the Nyakuza cats are there as well. As you can tell, all of them are fans of CC and her show, and tend to bully the Wallies when they see them. Now granted, it’s more of a passive aggressive kind that Mustache Kid can break with words.  After Mustache Kid vows to help the Wallies revolt against their feline threat, the food stalls are usable as a mechanic. Before, they would simply be dialogue events with comedic bad food, meant to be a reverse advertisement of CC’s show (and food line) by saying, “This man’s food is bad, but mine is great”. However, after this level, the Wallies will open up a secret business, where they will give her extremely tasty food that gives her a status boost (admittedly with pons involved). Kinda like the Nyakuza food stalls, but with fancy well-made meals instead of normal fast food.

There are advertisements everywhere, usually making fun of the Wallies(and eventually Mustache Kid) and portraying herself as an homely mother being wrongly insulted by immature unskilled sore losers.

Cooking Cat can be quite dangerous in battle, which is how she was able to threaten the Wallies in the first place.

She retains her homely country bumkin nature, although she is a lot more condescending and willing to play dirty.

Battle of the Birds:

The C.A.W Agents are still relatively the same, and are even involved in some of the Injustices Mustache Kid has to fix. Whether it’s in their favor or not varies greatly, as some of them take bribes.

DJ Peck actually has some musicals! They are generally more upbeat, and involve cliché but extremely fun stories.

Mustache Kid has a variety of movies to star in;

On DJ Peck’s end, there’s a good ol’ western, where she has to save her ‘brother’(actually an Owl doing a bad kid voice) from a gang of hungry eagles who want to use him as a ransom for her ‘dad’(a cardboard cutout). And then ya got, of course, the musical I was talking about! These are levels that go to the beat, and usually involve some snazzy tricks whilst dodging obstacles to the beat.

Conductor Grooves end has a drama, where Mustache Kid has to help a struggling dancer out of retirement in this heart warming film(mostly tasks involving helping said dancer). And a romance, where instead of being a main character, she is a side character who’s goal is to rig a series of events in order to match make a working joe who wishes to achieve his dream of groovy beats, and a celebrity dancer who’s come to the lesser city.

Co-op + Deathwish

Bow Kid and Timmy are of course, swapped! But in different ways; Bow Kid is scrapped! Joking, there’s actually gonna be a weird idea I’ll mention her in later, but for now Timmy Time!

Timmy is now Cap Chap, and has a rustic chimney sweep-esque feel to him, as he was one of the extremely few people who had survived Subcon Forest’s hostile take over by the Matriarch. He had kept himself hidden away from everyone around him, as he was terrified that he would be hung and burned for not listening to weird strict rules. However, when seeing Mustache Kid correct the wrong injustices that the Matriarch had committed, he was inspired to help. So mustering up all his courage, he had helped correct one of the biggest injustices that she had brought on. The Prince. He had taken advantage of her busyness (fixing all the damage Mustache Kid did and all) to help the Prince escape from the mansion (though it caused the poor boy to get burned badly) to Mustache Kid’s spaceship. He helps Mustache Kid out in both fixing her spaceship as well as with the ‘Death Wishes’ of this AU.

Cap Chap is an inventor! He was the assistant of a skilled mechanic in the Subcon Kingdom before everything got burned down and all.

Mustache Kid finds Cap Chap whilst he is fixing one of the computers in her ship, which beforehand was simply a running gag with it not searching the right results, or outright messing up the ship! He rambles to her about how he’s a fan, and about the whole story of he and Prince’s escape.

Now, the Death Wish in this AU is not started by the Matriarch. Mainly because she wouldn’t want to waste her time with a supposedly violent person, humoring her impulsive behavior. Plus, she has a kingdom to fix the damages of after all. Instead, it’s the Prince, who had finally snuck out (with Cap Chap’s helps as well as MU having wreaking the barriers when she had visited him Mid-game) He can be found after every chapter is complete, after interacting with Cap Chap. He hides in the pillow pool in MU’s room, reading some of the law books that she had stored on her bed. Upon interacting with him, he panics and begs for her not to alert the Matriarch that he’s on the spaceship. After reassuring him, he tells her about a bunch of fun games that they can play together, because they’re such wonderful best friends. Instead of intentionally dangerous contracts, they are actually games Cap Chap, MU, and Prince play together. The reason why they are dangerous is because he doesn’t understand how they can endanger the two kids, since it’s been literally years since he’s been out of the mansion interacting with people, as well as his occasional tantrums when he believes that the two are going to backstab him or when he becomes upset.

Of course, there are prizes! Hand made by the Prince, with an almost obsessive amount of effort put into them. From costumes to plush weapons.

Many of the Death Wish Levels are actually the three of them playing pretend/board games, with MU’s imagination involved.

Hello, AHIT fans, I happen to be one of the people who's spamming the tag on AO3, so it's time I appear here to post some art and au stuff here as well.

I've been making a swap au!! Because I can. And I thought too much about how Conductor and Empress are alike, sooo... My friend @legallymean and I have been making some stuff for it in the background! Can't wait to show you guys everything we've come up with.

To start off with... Here's Bandit, aka Swap!Conductor!

From before most people's memories, this outlaw's been swiping things and fighting people without any remorse. He's known for keeping most everything to himself in a little desert house near a speakeasy he runs, but he does seem to have some sort of plan with the things he's stolen. He trusts few, and respects even fewer. Though he has a gun on his hip, he prefers his knives, and most frequently brings them out against CAW, who has been trying to catch him for many years. (Of course, that's not working too well-- It's been decades, and Dead Bird Junction is still running under the thumb of the Bandit, even now...)

Grooves seems to resent him, refusing to discuss the topic of the Bandit; while Stationmaster is friendly with him, even including him in a few of his movies as a stunt owl and villain, though no one knows what she had to pay him for that... That, and what he's really up to with all those stolen things.

I've been seeing the wonderful splash cards for @missmiseryguts and their wonderful swap au, and I'll admit, that's what inspired me to make this doodle. Might try to make some more sometime. Took me less than 30 minutes, I'm absolutely just doodling it, and there's a 100% chance I'm gonna re-do this too... But I had to doodle a nice splash screen for the secondary finale of the swap au @legallymean and I share!

(Plus, I just really want to club penguin dance at you? Because every time I see your au it's really cool? I just want you to know I think you're neat, ok, have fun with your hatstache and your au ^_^ Hope the tag is okay my dude)

Here's the end of Chapter 6 (It actually should be chapter 5, since Tropical Cruise and Finale are after it but shhhh, it's 1:30am. I forgot Tropical Cruise existed): Train Rush. In other words, Spooky Kid (Swap!Snatcher) steals his timepieces back from Bandit (Swap!Conductor) and has to run around the whole desert while using some stealth to get around the houses while Bandit's on the prowl, some speed to hop onto and off of train cars as they go around the tracks, and some potions to try to stop this train robber from taking what isn't his!

(...Oh, and he also deals with this old man going through the five stages of grief while chasing him. Because these folks are DREADFUL at emotional regulation.)

Time for another swap au picture!! Unlike most of the cast, DJ Grooves hasn't changed too much, but there is still plenty to talk about with him.

Grooves is a solo musician now, but he used to be in a band called "The Sun, Moon, and Stars" when he was a teenager-- a rock band with either four or five members (He claims four, everything else says there were five, including the old posters.) Back then, he lived in the big city, but as of late, he's moved to a nice town usually called Penguin Town. It's usually a great big beach party and a well-loved vacation spot among those from other places. Even though they're welcoming to everyone, there's at least one person who wants all the penguins out of her way...

However, in the meantime, he's here to have a good time and help those around him. Grooves is one of the few people on the planet who nearly everyone gets along with, being a relatively casual guy who tries to help everyone he meets. He's loved by the penguins, who usually refer to him as "The Boss" even though he's tried to get them to call him by name a million times over.

(According to rumors, he and Bandit used to date, but that's just a rumor... Right?)

I'm fully aware Cecil just posted Hatter, but I was also gonna post Spooky Kid today, so it's nice to see the swapped duo back-to-back, huh?

Spooky Kid is a rather angsty 13-year-old, to be honest. He's from outer space, and would much rather have returned to his home planet, but after someone froze part of it and knocked both him and the timepieces out the window in a series of unfortunate events, he's been stuck on this planet ever since. He's trying to find his timepieces, and in the meantime, will use his spellbook to blast anyone from a distance instead of bothering to get close.

He'd rather be on his ship, reading, but at the same time, he can't leave the timepieces there, and eventually he does grow to at least tolerate the people there. (Not like. Totally. Definitely not. He's got a cool guy reputation to keep up. Ignore how everyone's sure he's only 10.) His fangs are real, and when he opens his mouth, he does actually have the same fang pattern as Snatcher. This boy's got some spooky vibes, even if no one really seems scared of him once they get to know him.

Also, instead of changing hats, he changes his cape! The dweller cape looks like spiderwebs, the sprint cape is a short cape to keep out of his way (And he does naruto run), and he hides books in the pockets that he won't admit exist in his usual purple cape.

He doesn't like to talk to people much, but he does enjoy getting to blast everything from a distance, so he'll live. So long as Crown Kid doesn't catch up to him first...

Hello, LGBTQ+ community. Theatre Gay is here to be... well, theatrical and of some unknown flavor of not-straight.

While Maestro, otherwise known as "Al" by his friends and rival, is better known for his musical pro-shoots at Cooking Cat Studios, he's also the co-host of Chopping Board, a fun little series he and Cooking Cat have been making for years where they try making terrible recipes and drag their co-workers (Stationmaster and Goofy Mafia mostly) into testing it whenever they can't stand to taste it themselves. He's had a taste of first place, once, but he seems to be content with second... most of the time.

As kids, he and the rest of his team used to live in Subcon, and they were still relatively close to each other then, living in a town nearby the one that Princess Mu used to frequent. Al was frequently sent over the hills to sell his family's pasta, and since he was a bit older than the kids there, he tended to bully them a bit. He lived to regret that, with the burn scars to prove it, and though he personally isn't ashamed of his scars, he is self-conscious about how they make others feel, and only sheds his mask and glove on rare occasions.

Out of the two directors at Cooking Cat Studios, he's the more approachable, especially if you ask his cast. Through all these years and movies/musicals, they've always had his back, and he trusts them with everything he can. I built a replica of the cabin from Swap AU that gets burnt to a crisp in House Flipper 2. I am perfectly normal.

I still have to actually finish the game. And figure out what I'm doing with the editor. It never really taught me how to make floors. I'm genuinely using walls as floors here, btw. I need to figure out this stuff someday...

And, if it looks samey... It's a log cabin. Of course it's gonna be a bit samey.

Time taken: There was a 1.5 hour session today, a 2 hour session last night, and a session of unknown time that seems to have been about 2.5 hours. So... 6-ish hours overall to build this thing. The house plan was actually made beforehand, though!

...There's actually only a few edits to that-- I made it bigger, so there's more space, and some of the stuff changed places.

My favorite part is the little details, though-- Conductor's room has a wall of art from the kids and postcards from Grooves; there are sticky notes for the kids in their room ("Great work!" "No matter what happens, remember that I love you" and "Remember to water the plants"), there's a towel for everyone (And an extra one for Grooves), there's actually more hats by Puella's bunk, and though I didn't get a picture of it... There's a coffee mug on the table on the porch, with two rocking chairs beside it. Oh, and the keys! Three of them have tags, color-coded for the kids, while the last one is Con's.

The posters spread throughout are for bands (Implied to be Conductor's old band for me), a movie (The one in the hallway), and just some cool-looking art.

This one can also be downloaded! It's already clean, too, so. Do what you want with it.

Subcon Cabin for House Flipper 2 - mod.io

There are plenty of old pictures to find in Subcon, around the destroyed houses and the old castle. The place may have mostly burned, but there are still memories there.

For instance, this one, recovered from the remnants of a two-bedroom house. Sure looks like a happy little friend group, don't they? Wonder where they all went...

(In other words: Hi, welcome back to Owl's AHIT Swap AU, I'm offering a tiny bit of backstory now, because I like to talk about backstory stuff just as much as the actual story. Check under the cut for more info ;) )

Puella (left), Amelie (lower middle), and Bonnie (right) were a trio of very close siblings. They grew up in Subcon with their loving father, and were rarely seen apart from the princess of Subcon Kingdom, Mu (upper middle), who liked to stay over and hang out with them. The quartet went through dozens of adventures together, always finding something new to do.

It's not known what happened to them, but some might say the day Subcon burned, the whole family split apart, running to all corners of the planet, never to return... Not that anyone remembers them now, though. It's been decades since the Subcon disaster, and it's not like others ultimately remember everyone who was there that day.

(And, of course, the version of the image without any added filters and stuff!)

(God, Bow deserves such a better first picture from me, but... Good thing I finally drew her, and Amelie too. I've drawn Mu and Hattie before, but Bow and Amelie are new folks to draw, so.)
