Genuine question for artists or writers

Is it normal to often tear up at your own created character lore?

Spoilers for lmk season 4 or just lmk in general

Like for instance, I'm currently working on making lore for an oc. Basically they're an immortal celestial being, they join a group of travelers that are heading towards a non specific direction the west.

While on this journey the oc subtly find interest in one of the travelers, they realize that they're immortal and they're love interest is mortal…so the oc keeps her feelings hidden.

This goes on for a while, oc tries they're best to brush off her growing feelings…soon she's filled with unfiltered rage, oc feels hopelessness and basically empty at the fact that they'll never be able to confess.

These feelings grow until oc has had enough of it, oc uses different methods to take they're mind off they're love interest like painting, dance, water bending (did I mention that oc can basically control water to they're will)

Finally after a what felt like years not really oc has come to her senses and embraces her feelings…

Only for the love interest to basically die in oc's arms :P

Oc kept love interests tears in a locket cuz…

Water has memory or some Disney shiz like that

Years n' years n' centuries later blah blah balh yak yak yak

Love interest is reincarnated, but has no memory of his past life until season 4.

Oc watches the love interest with sorrow and hopelessness, knowing that they'll never be able to confess.

To conceal these feelings once more, oc uses the years in her locket and creates a water figure replica of love interest from when they were traveling together kind of like the ink versions lmk characters but with water instead of ink.

Oc dances every full moon with the water replica of the love interest, hoping that it'll cure her longing sorrow and hopelessness.
