Throughout my career as a Korean-American living between Korea and the US, there have been times where I felt culturally misunderstood, lost, and alone. On this week... It's all about the ladies. Somehow when putting this episode together it turned out to be all female groups and artists. I simply went through a bunch of new releases and started going for a boppy summer vibe and coincidentally all the tracks were from girls groups and female artists. If I think about it, I had been finding myself being very apathetic towards the situation, even as a 12-year-old. I remember feeling so bad for my dad, because he just lost the love of his life, and my aunt just lost her sister. I should've also been thinking about me. I was just a child who had lost her mother. I finally found the strength to say, "OK, what am I going to do to go on? What's going to make me feel better?" And that was music. Music was the only thing that made me feel understood and made me feel better. I rooted myself in that. It was a process to navigate what my life and feelings were, but I think music saved me in every way.

SNSD's Tiffany Young has released her first solo MV! On August 1st at 11:11 p.m. PST, the talented singer dropped the music video for "Over My Skin." The track is Tiffany's English-language debut as a soloist. Although the song was released digitally in June, this marks the official release of the music video. The MV is a fascinating mixture of visuals. It first shows Tiffany singing on a black-and-white set with a big band, but it then progresses to different scenes, such as posing for photographers and then sitting in a chair while young students write messages on her skin. With definite hints about her life in the spotlight as an idol, the video takes a sudden turn at the end.
