ok so. i was on a nostalgia trip and started ranting to a friend how i could turn all of old mcyt into my ocs but id NEVER be able to come up with better names for them. and then like. i found all the stuff on tumblr? people talking about and drawing tc in 2024?? its awesome. are we regarding them as strictly the characters here? separating them because, lets be honest, fanon in 2014 was rampant and all the characters where so much MORE than they'd ever be if they'd stay strictly to their ytber counterparts. ive been unsure for almost 10 years if i should ever attempt my old aus again. but it seems after dsmp (jumpscare!) it became more common for people to just take minecraft characters as their own. obviously, those in the tc fandom kept on going with them since ages ago. so basically what im asking is, whats this little community like? shipping IRL ppl is a no-no. and since i dont go here ive never thought about the ethics of shipping their long forgotten old fanon countparts. it was was holding me back until minecraft servers started the c! shipping. its really exciting to see, as i can let my long forgotten pre-pubescent creative ideas flow through me once again. yall are so cool here! (ive been in the mcyt fandom since 2013, ive long accepted i cannot escape, why not embrace my roots?)

from what ive seen, the community nowadays only refer to them as the characters !!! as with that, most people are chill with shipping from what ive seen !

and yeah, love the little community thats been made here :] a bit over a year ago there was barely anyone, now theres so many people its great !!
