A beautiful beautiful take on him op!! In contrast to a recent art I loved where a chara that’s usually drawn with sharper and thinner features got the broad manly faced treatment, I’m living for this Croc looking more like the first than the latter which is what I’m used to and have tried! It looks fuckin gREAT on him 😩 this is like you reached in my brain to what I thought he looked like building his empire and brought it out and made it Better.

On more technical (ish I ain’t got broad art vocabulary sorry haha so I will simply try!) I love the lighting!!! Back and down lit is a great pair with Croc cuz of its association with intimidation bUT I especially like in yours that it gives him a skeletal mask, adding to the whole deadly look!! Dunno if I’m projecting cuz in artworks and stuff, like in Vanitas paintings, the jawless skull is a personal fav - there’s just such a different energy to it than a complete one. Just jumped out to me idk 🤡 the reflected light/ambient light (I don’t remember the term sorry 😭 like the blue green highlights within the shadows) are well done and add much depth too!!

You also fuckin NAILED the expression like I love how he has half lidded eyes 99.99% of the time in canon and you captured that perfectly and the sparkle to his pretty purple irises?? Ideal. The overall cool palette to the work to intensify the feeling of his aura?? Well chosen. The slight purse to his lips translating that scowl he basically always has?? Wonderful. How big the framing and his shoulders make him look??? Thank you 🙏🏻

TLDR: 10/10 very happy that mine eyes have Seen
