[Outofcharacter- I actually strongly agree with that word splooge. That was an absolutely breathtaking farewell and developed the character beautifully- it added more depth to an already lovely vampirate. I think it would not only cheapen the choice he made, but it would really just be pandering to some spoiled brats if the writers brought him back just for a petition. This is Supernatural. Everyone you love dies. If they don't get that yet, perhaps they should be watching the Vampire Diaries.]
outtosea. yes, pretty much. there are so many others way he could have ended up being killed off & this one just… was like a honor to benny, to be honest. they could have written him off as having lied to dean the whole time, or having given in to wanting to drink from a warm vein, or just a pointless death where nothing was achieved outside of him just dying. it doesn’t make it any easier, yeh. but— people on this show have had far worse deaths. deaths they didn’t deserve. benny wanted this. i just— i have a lot of feels, okay. |:

outtosea. There's a petition going around demanding Benny/Ty be brought back again to Supernatural. For him to be dragged back from Purgatory & I don't necessarily agree with this. I love Benny-- as if that wasn't obvious. His death tore me up. You can ask Cas. |: But he went on his own terms which is something rare for Supernatural. He went on his own terms, by his best friend's doing. & he's where he thinks he belongs/wants to be. I'd hate for him to be brought back and the sacrifice he made for the Winchesters be cheapened as part of the deal. Yes, he wanted to go back to Purgatory for awhile, but he could have just randomly pissed off someone - given in to his bloodlust - got himself killed by a hunter. The list goes on. There's so much he could have done but he held off. He fought it all off and his death actually meant something in the end. He got to save the person his best friend cared about most.  Let me make it clear: I'm all for him reappearing if it's what he chooses.  Now, I know it might be a little hypocritical to say that I think Benny should be left alone. Considering that I'm au-ing my own Benny out of Purgatory (though I have reasons, if I didn't-- I'd make this a strictly pre-death blog). This being said, show!Benny doesn't have the support and connections that my Benny has. Yes, he has Dean. But he had Dean before and look at how that worked out. (This is not Dean!hate, by the way. I, like Benny, do not blame Dean for not being able to be around much. Or for the Adios).  Basically, the point of this little splurge of words is because Benny was happy to be back. He was 'home'. He was miserable topside. Even in the little bit that we saw of him, he was hurting something fierce. & yet he tried his damnedest to fit into this life that he thought he wanted.  Let him rest, guys. I miss him too. More than you know. But until he wants to come back & it makes sense? Honestly, I think he's earned the right to be where he wants to be. M'just sayin'.
