ive been reading through promised neverland and its pretty good. i like the focus on having to outsmart the enemies which leads to predicting a counter prediction of a counter prediction to a prediction. its cool.

a small criticism of it is that the lake goldy arc sort of dragged on. it wasnt that bad, but the fight itself feels like it lasts a bit too long for my liking. anyways, now that thats out of the way i have one ENORMOUS issue.

sister crone might be one of the most offensive caricatures i have EVER seen in a manga and i have experienced mr popo in dragon ball. i find her worse because she is a much more prominent character than he is and you cant simply forget her existence like you can with popo.

there ARE other black characters in the series and none of them look so tremendously offensive. its like they had to make her intimidating and their solution was to hyper exaggerate her facial features and its just a gross ass mess.

she eventually does exit the story (which is a whole separate issue in itself in how its handled) so you dont have to deal with her anymore, but shes there for a while and she is a huge mark against the series.
