while I like the way BG3's story plays out, I kinda miss the dream person being a sexy illusion made by the tadpole to get you to lower your inhibitions and make turning you into a mindflayer a smoother process like what was implied in early access. the songs Down By The River & The Power kinda lose their relevance within the game since those songs were literally the tadpole using a siren song against you

#as it stands now there are literally ZERO consequences to using the tadpole powers #outside of a cosmetic change if you slurp the Special Worm™ at the beginning of Act 3 #on one hand I like dropping those shits in my eyes like eyedrops and having these cool powers 100% risk free #but like...that's boring lol #I wish there was a cost especially since the narrator makes it seem like you're losing something when you really aren't
