Award season has made posting concurrently difficult so I’m in catch-up mode for now. This is the Outer Banks premiere an Westwood at the Regency Bruin Theatre. Where do you think the ending of season 3 will leave each relationship? Like Kie/JJ, JJ/Pope, Sarah/John B etc

I’m going to assume you meant S2 and go with that?

I think Sarah and John B will make it through most of the season in tact but they have a 50/50 shot of still being together by seasons end. I lean towards them being the strongest couple at the end of this season and then having some issues in season three (what's a teen drama if no romance trouble.)

I hope think that they'll explore the potential relationship with Kie and Pope but I doubt they'll last. Pre-season interviews have been hyping up this relationship but unless they can pluck out some chemistry from thin air then I think it would be a weird choice to try and force that ship together, especially when it's pretty commonly known to not be that enjoyed by the fans.

JJ and Kie (my bbys) will hopefully get a bit more development this season though I HIGHLY doubt we'll get any monumental romantic moments. Honestly I'm here for a slow burn ship and JJ just making it out of this season alive tbh but a few sweet moments and maybe a little bit of confirmation that we weren't shipping nothing would be nice.

JJ and Pope is an interesting one to me. I actually wouldn't be completely shocked if it turned out we had been reading JJ's 'brotherly bond' with Pope wrong and he actually had some sort of feelings. Now while I wouldn't be completely shocked I would surprised seeing as this wasn't hinted towards with either of the boys.

John B and Kiara absolutely will still just be friends by the end of the season, though I stand by the fact I think they were probably the 'original endgame' before Sarah/John and Kiara/JJ got popular.

I very highly doubt Sarah and Topper will be together at any point this season but I do think they'll probably end this season as friends.

I've seen a few people mention Kiara/Rafe and Kiara/Topper and honestly as much as I think Drew Starkey is probably one of the most attractive men I've ever seen and Topper will no doubt be a good guy this season I don't really think either will come to fruition this season. I wouldn't be mad at a Kie/Rafe story if Rafe wasn't such a complete jackass.
