One Thought 💭
House provokes Wilson into getting what he wants…or does he?
(This is also prompt number 36 on the prompt list that I’ll be tagging in my pinned)
Lee: House 🏡
Ler: Wilson 🖊️
Word count: ≈2000
“You’re doing this on purpose…”
An already annoyed Wilson drew, his fingers tapping against his desk.
“I’m doing nothing of the sorts, you absolute wack job.”
House retorted, a smirk making its way across his face.
“Yes you are, you’ve been way more annoying than usual…”
Wilson gritted through his teeth..
“Oh, come on…Just being myself. Just like you told me to, Dr. Dipshit. You know, you really shouldn’t go into motivational speaking if you don’t expect people to take the advice, Idiot…”
House drew, his smirk remaining plastered to his face.
“See?! You just did it again! You’ve been calling me names all day!”
Wilson’s voice rose as he pointed a finger at House.
“And this is different from usual…how?” House flatly responded.
Wilson got up from his chair and made his way towards House, a vein began to throb in his forehead.
“It’s different from usual because it’s less clever, more basic. I’m surprised with you, if I’m being honest.”
Wilson stated as calmly as possible.
“So, I’m not on my A game today, big whoop! It’s not like you actually look forward to the banter, you bi-“
“You want something and you can’t ask me for it.”
Wilson cuts him off by poking into House’s sternum, a giggle swiftly escaping his lips.
“Oh yeah? P-prove it then..” House stuttered, his smirk wobbling into a smile.
Wilson paused, bringing a finger to his lips to contemplate.
“Hmmmm….No.”
Wilson quickly walked out of his office with Manila folders, leaving House alone in his office.
“Alrighty…”
House’s smile noticeably dropped, his typical ploy clearly not working today.
As lunch time rolled around, House tried to catch up with Wilson to steal the fries off his lunch plate but, was disappointed to see that he was nowhere to be found. Perplexed, he went down to the parking lot and noticed that his car was nowhere to be found either.
“That’s strange, Wilson has never gone out for lunch.”
House thought, making his way back to his own office with a dissatisfied look and a $1.25 vending machine trail mix.
“Was it something I said?”
“Did I make him upset?”
“Is it my fault he left?”
“It’s always my fault they leave..”
House was caught in thought when Cuddy entered his office, his eyes not even looking up from fiddling with his pen
“Hey, you’re good to go. Turns out it was Lupu-“
She pauses as she approached his desk, her eye’s immediately drawn to the angry scrawling in House’s notepad
“Yeah, yeah. Figures. It’s never Lupus but, today it is…”
“Of course it is..”
He slammed with notepad closed and got up from his desk.
“What’s wrong with you today? You’ve been more sour than usual since noon…” Cuddy asked.
“It’s…nothing. I’ll be my normal amount of dickish tomorrow. I’ll…see you in the morning.”
He responded, making his way out of his office.
Cuddy sighed and let it be for now.
As House made it to the parking lot, he was surprised to see that Wilson had waited for him.
“I was wondering when you’d finally finish up, anything interesting?”
Wilson asked, with a twinge of genuine curiosity.
“Nope…fucking Lupus…”
House stated before abruptly getting into Wilson’s passenger side.
“Really? It’s never Lupus…”
The door slammed loudly..
After they had arrived in their shared apartment, Wilson sat in his normal spot in the couch. House debated between sitting next to him and sitting at his piano bench but, was interrupted by Wilson grabbing him by his shirt and dragging him into the couch. House sat there for a moment before gently leaning his head into Wilson’s shoulder. They breathed together for quite some time, the TV not even turned on yet.
“I’m sorry…”
House spoke, breaking the slightly uncomfortable silence.
Wilson’s head cocked to the side, a surprised look taking over his face.
“For what exactly?” He asked as he turned his head to meet House’s regretful gaze, clearly forgetting his frustration from earlier.
“I’m sorry for calling you unnecessary, rude names.”
“I’m sorry for making your job harder today. For making your job harder every single day..”
“For being cruel to you.”
“For pushing you away…acting like I didn’t want something from you..”
“For being an asshole...”
“I’m sorry for being…me”
House’s voice faltered, nearly breaking towards the end of his rambling.
Wilson’s eyes softened as he saw tears beginning to form in House’s eyes, beckoning to trickle down.
“Hey now…there’s no need for tha-“
“But it’s the truth! I make your life so much harder than it has to be.
Every day, you put up with my bullshit, and for what??
How do you just roll with the punches I throw and not hate me for it?
How can I be anything to you if I can’t even voice my needs to you like a normal human being?!?”
House yelled, voice breaking fully with tears rolling down his cheeks. A lump began to grow in Wilson’s throat, gnawing against his larynx.
“I-I could never hate you..even if you act hateful when you don’t mean it.”
Wilson wiped away at House’s tears, his palm landing at his cheek.
“I don’t understand…”
House grasped overtop Wilson’s hand, the tears flowing between their fingers.
“You don’t have to. Not everything is some big mystery for you to figure out. Sometimes, it’s just face value.”
Wilson replied, smiling as he ran his thumb across House’s jaw.
House stiffened slightly, goosebumps raising near where Wilson touched.
“Now, about that thing you wanted?” Wilson tapped his left ring finger against House’s neck, his golden band noticeably absent.
“I-I…ummmm….”
House stuttered, biting his lying silver tongue
He had nowhere to go
Nowhere to hide now.
It was all out in the open.
“Well?~”
Wilson hummed, a smirk that matched House’s earlier cockiness began to form.
House looked away, taking a deep breath to speak.
“I…..would really like if you..were to….err…hypothet-umm”
He tried desperately to beat around the bush, a cherry red blush burning through his stubble.
Wilson began to chuckle, an all too knowing smile on his face.
“Well, come on..Tell me exactly what you need. I need to be sure, you know?~” Wilson drew, his pinky finger joined his ring finger to tap at House’s neck.
“You knew the whole time. Didn’t you?”
House chuckled a bit, scrunching his neck up against Wilson’s fingers.
“Knew what, Snickers~?”
Wilson asked innocently as he teasingly fluttered at House’s neck.
“D-dAmmit Wihihilson! You know what I want! I wahAhant you t-to…to..t-ti..”
House stuttered just before the dreaded word just long enough for Wilson’s eyebrows to raise, a look of realization took over his face as he ceased his twitching fingers.
“Oh my god. That’s why you never ask for it…You can’t say the word..”
“Can you?”
House froze, the tips of his ears now blaring a deep red.
“I-I…Umm..ummmmmmm…”
He looked down, not able to quite meet Wilson’s eyes.
“Iwantyoutotickleme…”
House barely murmured
“I’m sorry, I couldn’t hear you…”
He cupped a hand behind his own ear
“What was that?”
Wilson asked, his fingers poised to attack at House’s ribs.
“I-I want y-you to t-ti-tihihihi! T-Ti-T-tihihi! Oh gohohod dammit!!”
House could feel the word teasing on the tip of his tongue through his sweet bubbly giggles.
“Oh my gosh, I’m not even touching you and you’re just a giggly mess.. This is incredible. I’ve absolutely broken you and I didn’t even have to do anything~”
Wilson purred, eagerly wriggling at the air as he patiently waited for House’s word to strike.
“Wilsonnnn, plehehease..”
“Please what?~”
“Pleeeaseeee…”
“Please whaaat?~”
House firmly placed Wilson’s hands atop his middle ribs, much to Wilson’s surprise.
“Please….”
“I want you to say it~”
“I-I really want you to t-t-tickle me, o-ok? Please, Wilson~?”
His eyes now fully averting from Wilson, who’s eyes now glistened, practically filled with stars.
“O-ok..there. You satisfied with thaHAhAhaHahAt!!”’
House burst into laughter as Wilson happily dug into his ribs.
“Very much so, I’ve been waiting all day to do this!”
Wilson replied, bouncing between his 3rd and 5th sets of ribs.
“Nohohoho wahahahay!!”
House’s hands crashed into his face, his muffled giggles and burning blush still having nowhere to hide.
“Yes way~…Wait that sounded kind of silly..” Wilson paused as he brought his hands to just under House’s arms
”No way, yes way, perhaps way? Maybe way? Possibly way?”
“EehehehEhEHe! Y-you’re absolutely ridihihihihiculous! AHahAhahaHa!”
House giggled, squirming against the arm of the couch
“Only for you, Honey~BzzzzBzzzz!”
Wilson buzzed as he added a good dose of nuzzling to the mix.
“NAhHahA!! Wihihihilson!!”
House nearly squeaked, curling into himself with laughter.
“There is no Wilson, only bees! BzzzzzzBzzzzz! BzzBzzzzBzzzz!!!”
Wilson insisted, buzzing up from House’s neck to land on the shell of his ear.
“NohoHohoHo!!! Plehehehase NahaHaHat the bEeHeehees!!!”
House giggled, playfully swatting at Wilson’s face.
“You can’t escape the bees! They’re everywhere! Bzzzzz! Bzzzzbzzzbzz!”
Wilson continued to buzz against his ear while sneaking his spidering nails under House’s shirt, skittering just below his navel.
“GEhEhEt *snrk!* thehehem *snrk!* out ohohof ThEheheHere! Eeheehehe!!!”
House played along with Wilson’s bit, snickering into the couch.
“Hold on, lemme ask them..”
Wilson used one hand to push House’s shirt up, looking to speak to the bees.
“Bzzzt! BzzzzBzzbzzbzzbzzbzzzzz?”
He knelt down to buzz against House’s side as his skittering nails trailed up his ribs.
“WAITWAITWAHAHAHAHAIT!!!!”
House’s back arched upwards, his own arms hugging around his chest in an X. He could no longer speak as his boisterous laughter filled the room, a bright smile plastering his across his blushing face.
Wilson couldn’t be for certain but, if swore if he looked close enough, he could see dimples forming in his cheeks.
“What? I’m trying to talk some sense into them? Oh Christ, see what you’ve done? They’re splitting up now, need to cover more territory..”
Wilson chuckled, taking one of his skittering hands down to just above House’s waist line and the other fluttering oh so lightly between his collarbones.
“OHOHO SHIHIHI *SNRK!* HIHIT!!!! NAHAHAHAT *SNRK!* THAHAHAT!!”
House was now thrashing against the couch, his crossed arms gripping at his shoulders. Unfortunately for an already broken House, this trapped Wilson’s fluttery fingers directly above his sternum.
“It’s funny you choose that position, considering you’ve quite literally dug your own grave.. I’ll speak well of you at your burial~”
Wilson dropped his voice as he whispered into House’s ear, dropping the bit to peck just behind the shell of it. He began to tap into House’s sternum, his other hand clawing at his tummy with one finger digging into his navel. Poor pitiful House was in hysterics, his broken squealing interrupted with snorts and hiccups.
“Is this what you were looking for? Hmmmm? To just absolutely lose yourself in laughter? With not a thought to have except about how much it tickles? Is this what you wanted from me? Hmmmm~?”
Wilson teased right next to his ear, a devilishly cocky smile on his face.
House gave Wilson the tiniest of nods as his arms squeezed tightly for a moment around Wilson’s arm, moving his own hands to stifle his staggering breathy laughter.
House’s attempts at thinking or forming words were swiftly cut off by his wheezy laughter and Wilson’s fluttering hands.
The one thought that plagued his melted mind?
“It tickles so damn bad”

hey, i know you get a lot of asks but i wondered if hou had any like, light you coukd shine on a situation im going through:
im trans. a genderfuck, a transsexual, blah ect. one of my sister's is trans too and she came out to my parents a bit back. i havent reallg come out. like, my mom knows im trans too but i never talk to her about it and she never asks. im not doing well for a lot of reasons but one of them is that i feel like ill be stuck living with my parents forever as a disabled kid and also my older brother is a transphobic ass and he's allowed to say whatever the fuck he wants. my mom will even agree with him sometimes even tho she claims thats just becaus she feeks she has to support him too, even if she thinks hes going down the wrong path.
to make a long story shorter, my older sister thinks i should be direct with my mom, tell her im trans, let her ask questions and shit, because my sister believes my mom woukd love to support me and im being an idiot for defining my relationshio with my mom around my brother.
but its not just that. like my ass of a brother is part of the issue but also my mom has said transphobic shit to me for ye ars way before she knew i was trans and its?? just. when my sister came out she told me how she wished my sister had waited longer and how it was so exhausting figuring things out and hos she wished my sister wasnts trans because things were going to be si hard and i LOVE being trans and i dont want to feel like my gender is just another burden on my plate. like my mom treats me more like im her therapist than her child half the time and i CANT do it. i dont want to talk to jer about my transness, i dont want to "officially" come out even if i am doing shitt on my own. its better than i was constantly around her. i dunno. am i being an ass??? or like overreacting? shoukd i just suck it up and talk with my mom?
You absolutely don't have to talk to her about this, and it's really concerning how you're being treated. I'm really truly sorry, it's fucking tough. Ultimately, it does make sense why you wouldn't talk to her about this, and I don't think it's an overreaction to see that your brother's behaviour is tolerated, I can see how you'd play it safe and assume that that tolerance is a reflection on how your mother feels.
However, please take care of yourself. You don't owe it to your family to bear your heart and soul if you aren't ready, but you owe it to yourself to do what it takes to be able to get through this. It's hard, and I hope nobody downplays how difficult it is to be in that place. But please don't believe that you deserve this, if you think so. It's easy to fall into the trap that how you're treated is how you deserve to be treated, but that's not true. I hope your family can learn to grow, but they shouldn't learn to grow at the expense of you, if that makes sense.
You're entitled to not discussing this, and it sounds like you don't want to, no? That's completely fine and not only fine but understandable. Your transness doesn't depend on your family accepting, understanding, or knowing about it. You'll always have and be entitled to a place in this community, if you'd like it. I'm really proud of you

some of the best fantasy au fics for bnha that i've read
i decided to make a fic rec list of one of my favourite aus/fusions. mostly midoriya-centric, there are some crossovers (with hp), and a lot of different ways in which the authors have taken them - so it could be Quirks, ghosts, outright fantasy aus, spirits, witches etc etc. there isn't a specific order and there aren't a tonne (these are the ones i could find buried in my bookmarks lol), but the ones on the list are all really well written i love them.
i've tried adding relevant information, the summary (shortened if it's pretty long) and just. adding some random tags that may be important. not all of them though. obviously this is not a complete list and there will most definitely be more fics out there, if there are some really good fics that you know that aren't on this list, feel free to tell me, i'd love to read them!!!
i hope someone enjoys these!

porco cheating on f!reader and she’s reiner’s sister?? 💀
C/n: oh No. I am going to cry. Thanks for requesting and I hope that you enjoy🤍
———————————————————————
I Wasn’t Enough.(Porco x Reader)
Warnings: cheating, asshole Porco.
Porco and you were the “it” couple. He was, at the time, the strongest Titan and you the strongest soldier. Everybody shipped you.
Your brother, Reiner, was super proud of you. He adored how strong you were even though you didn’t inherit the Armoured Titan. He made sure you knew how proud he was of you.
Porco never liked Reiner and it interfered in your relationship sometimes. When you would spend time with your brother, Porco always made a big deal about it. “Why do you have to spend the whole day with him?” “Porco, he’s my brother. He was away for two weeks and I want to spend some time with him. Calm down.”
It was annoying. How angry he gets with Reiner but you grinded your teeth and looked passed it. But something was off in the last couple of days. Porco became...distant. Whenever you tried to hang out during the day and he declined. Said he’s training became a bit too hectic. The night? Said he became too exhausted to do anything so he just goes straight to bed.
You were sitting in the dining hall with Reiner when you saw Porco outside. You sighed and looked back at your food when Reiwner picked up on your mood.
“You okay?” He asked as he shoulder bumps you. “Huh? Oh yeah. Fine.” You reply, playing with your food. “Doesn’t seem like it. What did Porco do?” Reiner asks again and faces you. You look up to see Porco gone and you look at Reiner. “He’s been acting..weird lately. We haven’t spent any time together recently and I don’t know what to do. He says it’s his training but I don’t know anymore.” Hou explain and Reiner nods. “Did you try talking to him about it? Listen, I don’t like the guy but he makes you happy. You make him happy. So maybe try talking to him. Don’t leave it alone for too long.” Reiner tells you and you nod. “Yeah I guess I should. Thanks, Reiner. I can always count on you, can’t I?” You smile and Reiner ruffles your hair. “Of course.”
Later that night, when everyone was asleep, you snuck out of your bedroom to go to Porco’s. You loved him and you weren’t going to leave this alone. The plan was to talk to him and maybe spend the night together sleeping.
As you turn into the hallway, his room was right there. “Now or never, Y/n.” You mumble to yourself and walk up to his door. You make your way to it and stop as soon as you hear his voice. It’s muffled but it was clearly his. As you were about to knock, another voice is heard. And it definitely wasn’t Porco’s.
You slam open the door and your heart sinks to floor as you look at the scene.
“Y/n?” Porco calls your name as he covers himself with the blanket. You look next to him to see a girl, naked, covering herself. “Who are you?” You ask the girl but she doesn’t answer. She just puts her head down and look at Porco. “Y-Y/n. What are you doing here?” He asks as he wakes up. “Stop. Don’t come any closer. Why I came here doesn’t matter anymore,” your tears fell and you wiped them away just as fast. “Y/n, I can explain. I-It’s not what it looks like.” He stutters and you scoff. Not what it looks like. What am I, an idiot? You walk up to him and slap him across his face with a force that, for normal human, could’ve torn the skin off.
“Fuck you, Porco.”
That was the last thing you told him. You ran out the room straight to Reiners and banged on his door. Reiner opens it, shocked. “Y/n? What happened?” He asks groggily and opens his eyes properly to see your face filled with tears. “Y/n. What’s wrong? Why are you crying?” He brings you in for a hug as you cry. “P-Porco cheated.” You choke out as you grab Reiner’s shirt. You couldn’t see it but Reiner’s face was so red with anger. But he will sort Porco out tomorrow, right now you needed him.
“Come on. Let’s sleep.”
~~~~
Reiner stormed out to the training yard where Porco was. “Braun. Galliard. Training let’s go!” Magath calls out and Reiner bumps Porco. He didn’t say anything. He knew that Reiner knew.
Reiner transforms and so does Porco. Without even thinking, Reiner punches Porco and grabs the Titan’s legs and flings it across the hard. “Whoa! What’s going on?!” Magath asks but luckily Colt was there and just said he’s getting revenge for you.
“You *punch* son *punch* of *punch* a *punch* bitch!” Reiner yells and breaks Porco. Porco comes out of his Titan and so does Reiner and he doesn’t hold back. Reiner hits Porco until he bled until-
“REINER! STOP!” He hears your voice and he stops. Reiner looks to you and you were crying as you shook your head. He throws Porco o the ground and kicks him.
“You’re lucky she’s here and told me to stop. You’re trash for doing that to her, Galliard.”
Reiner spits out and leaves him on the ground. He wouldn’t get another chance with you. You wouldn’t give him the chance. And he deserves every single punch Reiner gave him.
You never spoke to him unless absolutely necessary and refused to allow him back into your life. He didn’t deserve you anymore. Not after making you feel like you weren’t enough.
dirtbags // 4: Lola
Summary: High school AU. 1985. Winter. Heather’s party is huge; Lola makes new friends, get better acquainted with some underclassmen, and turns out to be far cozier with the hostess than anyone could guess. The next day, Nikki comes to work despite his hangover, while Charlotte and Eileen plan Vince’s murder. Razzle’s just there to have fun.
A/N: 6603 words. For @misscharlottelee and @julymotel , my beloveds, as always. Sorry it's late, it's been a hell of a week. But, here's the kids. I should say that this chapter does include slight, implied internalised homophobia, just as a warning.
judge if you want, we are all going to die. i intend to deserve it.
For the record, Lola isn’t a party-goer by nature, and the fact that she’s been to two in as many months is baffling her. Usually she just goes to see bands, and sometimes hangs out at peoples’ houses, but high school parties specifically alluded her for most of her time in Boston. It’s not that she wasn’t invited, but her mom had been something of a hardass, and the closest she’d ever gotten was when drunk kids made their way to the diner right before closing on a Friday or Saturday.
Her dad’s fully supportive of her going out and partying, which is weird in it’s own right. He writes down their home phone number on a piece of paper, in case Lola can’t remember it when she’s drunk - his words - and tells her to call whenever she needs a lift. Don’t go get into a car with strangers. Drink plenty of water. Be safe. Have fun.
“Dad, you’re being weird,” she’d told him flatly, applying eyeliner to her waterline in the bathroom. Leo, leaning against the door with his arms crossed, was watching her with a fond expression.
“If I was a hardass and banned you from going out, you’d probably still sneak out anyways -” Lola goes to protest, which Leo finds sweet, but he holds a hand up, and she lets him continue, “not that I don’t think you respect me, but I just know what it was like being a teenager; if you got into trouble while sneaking out, you wouldn’t feel like you could call me for help,” he explained, giving pause, “but I always will, you know that, right?” And Lola nods, but goes back to applying eyeliner, knowing her father’s tone of voice too well, anticipating the fact that he was about to dive into a story of his own to help prove his point.
“When I was your age, or maybe a bit younger, fifteen or sixteen, me and some friends snuck out to a bonfire one night that my parents had absolutely forbidden me from going to, and I ended up needing to go to the emergency room from a burn I got on my hand from being an idiot around the fire,” and he raised his left hand, to show the still visible, large scar on his palm, “I was more terrified of what my father would do than of the burn itself so I didn’t try and call him or mum; I walked home from the hospital alone the next morning, and lied about how I got the burn.”
Lola paused, lowering the eyeliner pencil, meeting her father’s gaze in the mirror. Leo’s smile had turned a little sad at the memory; Lola doesn’t hear much about her grandparents, and she wonders if stories like this are the reason why.
“You’re my kid, Keola, I never want you to think you can’t come to me for help, okay?” It’s rare for Leo to use Lola’s full first name, usually reserving it for more poignant and earnest moments, so every comment about how he’s being a sap, or that she already knows, dies on Lola’s tongue.
“Thanks, dad,” she smiles soft, and Leo smiles back, all crows feet and laugh lines, before he tells her that she looks badass, and he steps out of the doorframe, heading back downstairs to the diner.
By the time Lola shows up, it’s just edging past eight-thirty, though the party still seems to be in its early stages. There’s music that can be heard down the street, and fairy lights scattered throughout the garden, though most of the partygoers who had already arrived are still confined to the house. Apart from a gangly, dark-haired boy whose face she knows, but whose name she doesn’t, sitting on the wide, ostentatious front steps, looking up at the stars glittering overhead. There’s a cigarette in a loose grip between two fingers, though the ash has already burnt down half of it without him tapping it off; it’s almost comical, she’s pretty sure he hasn’t even put it to his lips yet.
“You’re wasting that,” Lola points out, and the guy is jolted from his thoughts, the movement sharp enough to have the ash falling from the cigarette and to the ground by his shoes. He looks to the cigarette, which has gone out, and then to Lola, a little helpless, “I could take it off your hands,” she offers, unsure of how to proceed, and he holds the cigarette out, smile blooming on his face.
“I can’t get the hang of it; I’m playing a smoker in this play I’m doing in a month, and I’ve been trying, you know, make it feel natural, never seems to,” his mouth is curved into a bemused smile as he shrugs helplessly, watching Lola tuck the half a cigarette behind her ear. For a moment, his eyes roam his face, like he’s searching for something to recognize, and she can read it all over him when he finds it, his eyes alight with familiarity, “you work at the diner!”
Lola hates how disarming she finds his earnestness. He doesn’t mention her reputation or the rumours around her, which she’s pretty sure he would have heard since she’s eighty-percent sure he goes to her school.
“Lola,” she offers her hand, and he takes it, using it as leverage to get to his feet before he gives it a proper shake.
“Keanu,” he says, matter-of-factly, still grinning, and Lola suddenly knows where she knows him from. The school musical sign-up sheet is on the Art Faculty’s notice board right outside her art classroom, and she’s been staring at his name amongst a small list of others, including Eileen’s, much to Lola’s surprise, while she and the rest of her art class wait to get into their room.
At least she’s pretty sure it’s him; Keanu’s not exactly a common name. The only other time she’d heard it was in one of her dad’s stories, it was the name of one of his childhood friends -
She leaves it be; he groans and stretches, and there’s an idle moment where his shirt rides up, and Lola reminds herself to focus on the person who actually invited her, and to stop getting fleeting feelings for people she barely knows just because they’re pretty. Lola mutters that she needs a drink, and Keanu claps her on the shoulder and agrees, the two of them heading inside.
Heather’s house is in the same part of town as Vince’s, almost an hour’s walk from the diner, but somehow Heather’s is even nicer. Sprawling front lawn, abstract paintings and movie props on little, pristine pedestals inside, Lola feels like she’s lowering the property value just by stepping foot inside. The party was easily both the nicest and most raucous Lola had ever been to, which, granted, wasn’t saying a lot, but their house was wired with speakers, all connected back to the jukebox in the living room, and Heather’s parents had even let her hire coloured lights.
“As long as the cops aren’t called, we can do whatever we want,” was the message passed around the school from Heather herself. Lola’s feels as though that probably won’t bode well for her parents’ elegantly displayed collectables, but whatever, it’s not like it’s Lola’s problem.
Already there’s a decent crowd inside, and Lola loses Keanu amongst them, making a beeline for the kitchen, manoeuvring around the house with easy familiarity. She reaches pushes past several people to get to the fridge, reaching all the way to the back, past a set of tupperware, to the bottle of wine Heather’s mom had stashed there. Lola removes the sticky note telling everyone not to touch it, and uncorks the bottle over the sink, scowling.
It feels like she’s floating through the night, no-one around that she knows just yet, disconnected from everyone else, carrying the bottle of wine by her side, occasionally taking a drink. Moving from room to room, she takes her time people watching, and guessing how long before the various, expensive props and bric-a-brac were being used for things counter to their intended purpose.
In the front room, there’s finally someone she recognises, kind of; the the young redhead, the fruit one- Peach! She’s unsteady on her feet, beautiful and angry, defiantly making her way through a can of cheap beer, and Lola wonders where the rest of her clique is, that sister of hers, Eileen, even Charlotte.
“You okay?” Lola’s never been great at comforting people, but Peach is currently leaning against a wall at a forty-five degree angle after losing her balance, and scowling. She’s drunk. Already. Fuck.
“I’m fine! Freaking- fucking great!” She’s not even looking at Lola properly, glaring out the window she’d narrowly missed falling on. Lola follows her gaze. It’s just passed nine, and Tommy and Charlotte can be seen walking up to the door; they don’t see Peach or Lola, thankfully.
“You - you’re friends with that... that mean, asshole, punk guy, right?” Peach asks, standing upright so suddenly she overbalances again, and Lola has to catch her elbow to keep her from topping. Peach slaps her hand away, but keeps her balance, obviously with a bee in her bonnet about something that Lola couldn’t even begin it fathom.
“Nikki?” Lola clarifies flatly, amused but not wanting it to show. Peach nods solemnly. Lola bites back a laugh, “yes, I’m friends with him, why?”
“Is he coming tonight?” Peach asks, tone almost forcibly coy and casual, raising her can of drink, taking large gulps as Lola says that he mentioned that he should be, and then asks why. Peach goes quiet. Lola had thought it impossible for Peach’s scowl to grow deeper, but it did, as a blush began to creep up her neck.
“You know my sister, right? Eileen?” Peach says, instead, and Lola nods slowly, and she takes a swig of wine, “she’s a year - a single goddamn year - older than me; I’m sixteen, Lola, she said I was too young to go to a party like this.” And yeah, okay, Lola makes a face at that; she was the same age as Tommy, and he’s done objectively worse stuff in front of Eileen and Charlotte with no complaints. The last house party flashes through Lola’s mind, and she grimaces - “exactly, it’s dumb! Charlie had been dating Duff for a year by the time she was my age, and let me tell you, they were proper gross!” Peach sways a little, and Lola reminds her that she has no idea who Duff is; Peach calls him a word that shocks Lola to hear her say it, especially for a girl who had to correct herself from saying freaking to fucking just moments ago.
“Noted,” Lola nods, and takes another drink; she’s almost a third through the bottle.
“I’m not a child, Lola,” Peach says, as seriously as she can muster, and, as if light a lightbulb has gone off above Lola’s head, she realises why Peach was asking after Nikki.
“You’re not,” Lola agrees slowly, and looks around, hoping to spot Charlotte or Tommy around, someone better suited to talking an angry, determined Peach out of something she’d regret.
“Don’t take that tone with me,” Peach huffed, standing to her full height, which unfortunately for Lola, made her taller by a few inches, “you know what, fuck you, Lola -”
“Peach -”
“No, fuck that, I know that tone -”
“Never thought I’d see you out at a place like this, Peach,” there’s a warm familiarity in the voice that joins them, and Peach visibly relaxes. Lola turns, and sees Vince Neil, bleach blonde, decked out in his usual, obnoxious white.
“Fuck off, Vince,” Peach mumbles, turning back to the window in an attempt to hide her sudden blush. Lola raises her eyebrows and looks to Vince, intrigued. The moment his gaze meets Lola’s, Vince turns quietly awkward, and can do little more than offer a shrug.
“Peach?” He tries again, and Peach finishes her drink, tipping her head back, and doesn’t even seem to notice that she’s started to topple back until he catches her, “fuck, Peach.” He says, still holding her.
“You really should fuck off,” Peach says, softer this time, leaning into him, and something pained flashes across Vince’s expression for the barest moment; Peach doesn’t notice in her state, but Lola sees it.
“Eileen been in your ear lately?” Vince asks through gritted teeth. Peach’s scowl back in full force, and she’s righting herself.
“No,” she snaps, an obvious lie, and she pushes past Lola, making her unsteady way to the kitchen, Vince obviously feeling some sort of obligation to her, following quickly in her wake. Thank God. Lola really didn’t want to take care of a girl she barely knows all night.
She’s two thirds of the way through the bottle of wine, feeling good and buzzed, and she’s made polite conversation with the people she knows and the people she doesn’t, the people who know her by reputation, or from the diner, polite to a fault, knowing too much and too little about her all at once.
Tommy’s roped them into a conversation with a few kids from his year that Lola doesn’t recognize any of them, and one, drunk, brunette, stupid, asks her about the rumours, in a crude, roundabout way. Tommy’s hand is firm on Lola’s shoulder, apology in his eyes as he silently pleads with her to not make a scene. Lola kicks his asshole friend in the shin anyways, and spits that he has terrible taste in friends.
Charlotte waves to her, but Lola doesn’t see it in her angry state, storming up the stairs to the second floor. It’s quieter up here, mostly. There’s a group in a side room playing spin the bottle, and people taking advantage of Heather’s parents’ bedroom, and the door to Heather’s room is closed. Lola bangs her closed fist on the nondescript door.
“Who is it?” Heather’s voice, strained, rings out from the other side.
“I’m gonna be sick,” Lola whined through a lie, banging again. There’s scuffling on the other side, Heather hissing for whoever’s with her to go, to get out the window, anything. Lola smirks, “please, all the other bathrooms are -” and she fake gags, right as the door wrenches open to show Heather’s flustered face, hair a mess, scowling.
“What?”
“I’m lying,” Lola whispered, leaning against the doorframe, pushing down all her annoyance at Tommy and his asshole friends, and playing at being coy. Heather huffs an annoyed breath through her nose.
“I know,” she snaps, but lets Lola in anyways, and Lola automatically closes the door behind herself, leaning her back against it, watching Heather try and act casual, heading to her bed, “should I be jealous?” Lola smirks, and Heather shoots her a filthy look. Lola takes a long drink of the wine, and Heather’s expression turns from angry, to simply annoyed.
“Of course, of fucking course, you, the only asshole who actually knew about it-”
“Your mom can buy another one, it’s not like you’re not -”
“Don’t say it,” Heather warns, sitting on the edge of her bed, and Lola’s smile grows sly and amused. Heather’s gaze flicks to the door handle, “lock that.”
“Yes, Princess,” Lola smirks, reaching over with her free hand, making quick work of locking the door.
“Do not,” Heather hisses at the pet name, and Lola pushes off the door, heading towards her, and offers her the bottle. Heather’s lips press into a thin line as the regards the drink she knows is completely illicit for a number of reasons, before taking it, and taking a drink - “fuck, how much of this have you had?”
In answer, Lola takes the bottle back and finishes it off.
“You’re a pig and a thief,” Heather tells her, but Lola’s smile is all teeth.
“And you kicked out someone - a boy, I’m guessing - for this thieving pig,” Lola reminds her, placing the empty bottle carefully on the nightstand of her luxurious double bed. Heather turns scarlet.
“I thought you’d at least wait until eleven to find me,” she deflects, defensive at the truth in Lola’s words, to which Lola herself actually laughs, flopping back onto the bed, arms spread, two fingers hooking into the back waistband of Heather’s flirty, short skirt.
“The fact that I’m here at all is a miracle, Princess -”
“Don’t.”
“And you know you could have told me to throw up in the garden,” Lola points out. A moment of silence follows, she tugs at Heather’s waistband, and Heather follows the unspoken prompt, leaning back onto the bed.
“Boys don’t know what they’re doing,” she says, staring up at the ceiling, arms folded but feet still planted firmly on the floor, and Lola’s eyes go wide, delighted, twisting onto her side to look at Heather’s blushing face.
“I knew you liked me,” Lola teases, grinning sharp.
“Don’t flatter yourself,” Heather scoffs, angling her head back to level a glare at Lola, after a beat, she reaches back, fingers nimble and cold but her grip on Lola’s jaw secure. She frowns at Lola’s lips, rubbing her thumb none too gently over the bottom lip, taking off the black lipstick painted there, staining her own thumb in the process.
“Are you waiting for an invitation?” Heather prompts, frustrated, tone icy. Lola raises her eyebrows at the blonde's impatience.
“As you command, your highness,” Lola pushes herself up on her elbows, and off the bed, smirking in the face of Heather’s annoyance, before she scrubs at her mouth with the back of her hand, getting rid of the rest of her lipstick.
“I’ll be quick so you can get back to your boytoy,” Lola smirks up at Heather, kneeling between her knees, and in the next moment Heather’s legs clamp painfully tight around her head, bony knees pressing into her temples.
“If you tell fucking anyone I did anything other than get you water while you threw up in my bathroom, I will ruin your fucking life,” she spits, and Lola’s expression contorts into one of furious annoyance as she wrenches her head free, sitting back on her heels.
“As if I’d tell anyone; if you tell anyone, I’ll burn your fucking house down, do not test me on that,” she warns in return, before Heather relaxes and lays back, eyes back on the ceiling, waiting, “fucking pillow princess, I wish you’d get me a glass of water once in a while,” Lola muttered, leaning back in.
“Hey!” Heather objects, looking down, only to see the barely concealed fury smouldering in Lola’s eyes as she looks at Heather through her lashes. Lola orders her to shut up, presses a pointed kiss to her inner thigh, and Heather obeys without any more fuss.
All it took, in the beginning, was for Lola to confront Heather and ask why the fuck she couldn’t keep her eyes to herself during class, fully expecting a fight. It was after school, Lola had followed her into the bathroom after class as the school was emptying. Heather’s lip had curled, derisive, giving Lola a look like she was a bug beneath her shoe.
“You see something you fucking like?” Lola had snarled, ready to square up, chest puffed out, and Heather had rolled her eyes, scoffing about how Lola wasn’t even close to her type, before she’d realised what she’d said.
Neither had known how to proceed in that moment, both terrified of how the other would react, Lola could see the sudden fear in Heather’s eyes at the admission. Very deliberately, Lola had relaxed her posture, looking Heather over with a new appreciation, and Heather had flushed under her gaze.
“I didn’t know it was like that,” Lola had smirked, gaze locking onto Heather’s. The blonde was embarrassed, furious at herself, “well if I ever become your type -” those seven words had changed everything. Immediately, Heather knew exactly what Lola had meant, that she wasn’t a threat in the way she’d feared, and that Lola was like her, in some way, in a way that was safe.
“You’re -?” Heather raised a single, perfect eyebrow at her.
“I don’t advertise it,” Lola said, voice flat, hands in her pockets and shoulders carefully relaxed, “don’t know, you know, who else is... like me.”
“Like you?”
“I don’t wanna talk about it here,” Lola had muttered, gaze flicking to the empty stalls, and Heather had given her a long, evaluative look, before stepping forward, apparently finding something she likes.
Heather’s kind of pinning over a straight girl and none of the rest of the school has any idea she likes anything other than boys, and she’d like to keep it that way. No-one really cares about Lola the way they do about Heather, so they feel safe fooling around together at Heather’s under the guise of ‘studying’; they don’t really even like each other as people, it’s more mutually beneficial than anything else, but it’s kind of nice to have this understanding between them, free to be themselves without fear, even if it’s only for short amounts of time.
Now, at the party, when Lola goes to leave the room after all is said and done, hair checked in the mirror, lipstick reapplied neatly, Heather grabs her arm, quiet but no longer irritate in Lola’s presence, and Lola’s eyes go wide with question, but she too is silent. Heather steels herself, steps up to Lola, and then she’s got her fingers carding through Lola’s hair, and holding tight, and Lola lets herself be maneuverer, her head tipping and Heather’s lips on her neck.
When Heather steps back, there’s the beginning of a hickey blooming on the juncture where Lola’s shoulder meets her throat, aching faintly, pleasantly, and her hands are soft on Heather’s hips, lips twitching into a smirk.
“You could have just said thank you,” Lola snorted, and Heather’s frowning, but it doesn’t seem to be specifically at Lola; she rolls her eyes. Lola presses a kiss to the corner of her mouth, quick and chaste, and scrubs at the mark she leaves behind before Heather slaps her hand away and tells her to get out, though there’s no anger behind it.
When Lola opens the door, she puts on a show of being a little more unsteady than she really was, and is surprised to see Nikki leaning against the wall a few feet away, chatting to Tommy, looking so carefully casual. Lola’s pretty sure she hears Nikki sigh something about needing to find a guitarist, but that’s the moment Tommy spots Lola. He tries to apologise for his friends, but Lola shrugs, letting the incident go easily.
And then Nikki’s eyes flick to hers, and he asks if she’s okay, and Tommy seems confused but Lola’s hit with a realization. She pulls back her act and tries not to smile too wide.
“I’m fine now, great actually, it’s sweet of you to care,” its absolutely and completely innocent, but she raises an eyebrow at him, as if asking how he knows that she was unwell. In lieu of response, Nikki stands to his full height, walks to the door, and knocks. Lola and Tommy watch, the former far more confused than the latter.
Heather opens the door wide, not a hair out of place, makeup immaculate and untouched, and tells Nikki to fuck off, swanning past him and down to the rest of her party. Nikki turns on Lola.
“You couldn’t have thrown your guts up in a bush somewhere?” Nikki hissed, frustrated, and Lola does a great job at biting back her laughter, shaking her head and shrugging helplessly.
“We’re you waiting out here that whole time?” Lola asks, and Nikki turns amusingly pink, stalking past her to the stairs, to which both Lola and Tommy followed, with Lola calling out a half-hearted apology, and Nikki telling her to shove it up her ass.
gandhi said 'be the change you want to see in the world.' fuck that. be the trouble you want to see in the world.
“Don’t tell me you’re still mad about last night,” the morning after the party, or was it afternoon - midday after Heather’s party - Lola’s tying her red bandana around her head, hip leaning against the counter out the back by the fryer where Nikki was scowling at an order of fries that was bubbling away.
“The world doesn’t revolve around you, Lola,” Nikki snaps back, looking up at her, still frowning, and Lola’s smile widens, just a little. Nikki sighs, relenting, his voice dropping low, “I’m hungover as fuck, just piss off, can you?” But it doesn’t sound half as cruel as the words themselves imply, and Lola dips to press her cheek to his shoulder in a moment of affectionate familiarity before heading out to start serving customers.
It’s almost one when Charlotte and that English kid, Razzle, walk in, with the tall, pretty ginger, Eileen, sans their usual extras, but they take their spot at their usual booth by the window, talking quietly but animatedly.
“- the nerve on him! Hi, Lola,” Eileen’s practically vibrating with pent up, frustrated energy, greeting Lola with what Eileen probably assumed was a smile, but was still definitely a scowl.
“Everything alright here?” Lola asked, forcing her voice even brighter than she’d usually attempt, and Eileen’s gaze dropped to the menu, going quiet, brooding, while Charlotte sat up a little straighter and smiled, clearly not on such an intense wavelength as her friend.
“Everything’s just great; plotting Vince’s murder, kind of starving, the usual,” she shrugs, and Razzle, by her side, snorts a laugh.
“Good to see you survived the night, Honky Cat,” he adds in lieu of a greeting of his own, and Lola takes a moment to process all the information she’d just been exposed to.
“’course I did, I drank my weight in water between shots,” Lola smirks at Razzle, before her gaze slides to Charlotte, “and that’s very fair; I’d ask what he’s done now, but I think I’ll take care of your order first,” she grins amicably and pulls out her notepad and pen, as the three of them order their usual drinks and lunch preferences.
Lola heads back to the counter, calling out the order to the kitchen, taking another few order to their various destinations, before getting her friends’ drinks together to take them over.
“- home and didn’t even call, Razz, she didn’t even -” Eileen was still ranting by the time Lola deposits their drinks before them. Lola’s pretty sure she saw Razzle and Charlotte deliberately knocking knees beneath the table, but doesn’t think about it too hard. Nor does she dwell on the memory of seeing them at the party last night, of a gaggle of cheerleaders around talking to Razzle, though he just kept trying to talk to Charlotte. Later, she’d definitely seen them on the sofas, talking with Tommy and some of Charlotte’s other friends, leaning in to each other, Razzle’s arm around her shoulders, playing with the whispy ends of her hair. Lola hadn’t thought much of it at the time; she’d made out with Tommy at her first house party in the area, it hadn’t developed past friendship.
It was cute, if it was anything.
“Lola, you were there!” Eileen turned very suddenly, the moment her cup had been placed in front of her, and Lola’s eyebrows shot up, “did you see my sister last night?”
It feels like a trap, because yes, Lola definitely did, but also -
“Yes, why?” Lola asks, slowly, cocking a hip.
“They’re in the middle of a blue,” Razzle said, with a fond smile at Eileen’s carefully neutral expression, while she stirred her drink with intent.
“A fight,” Charlotte translated, “and Peach went to Heather’s last night, and got kind of shitfaced, and Vince took care of her, was really quite sweet, but she stayed with him because his place was closer and Peach refused to call Eileen.”
“She stayed with Vince?” Lola said carefully, trying not to imply she was jumping to conclusions, but Eileen’s stirring ceased in favour of vigorous drinking of the drink, obviously stuck on a similar train of thought.
“She slept on the couch,” Razzle filled in quickly, “was still there when I left, tucked in with a blanket, all above board.”
“And you didn’t know where she was -?” Lola frowns, confused.
“Vince called at three in the morning,” Eileen glowered out the window, voice low and even, “dad was mad until he was grateful; the man’s backbone is made of marshmallow fluff. She was meant to be home at one.”
“But she’s okay?”
“It’s the principle of the thing, Lola,” Eileen had said, giving Lola a look far older and longsuffering than her seventeen years.
“If we brought in Vince’s heart, would your dad batter it up and fry it for Eileen to eat?” Charlotte asked, tone teasing and light, to which Eileen rolled her eyes, but at least it got her to smile, even a little. Even when Lola snorted a laugh and told her ‘absolutely not’.
Later, on their break, Lola and Nikki sit on the roof of the building and share a serve of chips that he’d overcooked, and a cigarette, and Lola asks about Vince. Turns out Nikki doesn’t know much; he hadn’t grown up with the rest of them, had moved to the neighbourhood near the start of high school, and all he really knows is that girls apparently think Vince’s dick developed some sort of Midas touch over Summer.
“Don’t get me wrong, he’s always been stupid pretty,” Nikki shoves a chip in his mouth before leaning back on his elbows, “far as I know, but you’ve seen his car, right? That fuck-off, expensive red one that sits in the teacher’s carpark, with the massive scratch in the paint along the left? Yeah that’s his; got it for his birthday last year and he’s been getting tail like nobody’s business ever since.” And Lola tries to process all this information before he’s barrelling right on ahead with, “speaking of; if you’re gonna nail Tommy, can you do it soon and put the poor kid out of his misery?”
“Excuse me?!” Lola had choked on her lungful of smoke, turning red at the suggestion.
“Yeah, poor kid was pretty convinced we were a thing and didn’t want to make a move; kinda stupid, but I dunno, admirable? Noble?” Nikki groaned through his words, laying back against the gravel of the roof, hand out for the cigarette. Lola passed it to him, glad he couldn’t see her vaguely guilty expression, knowing she’d slept with the girl he’d been hitting on the night before.
“Tommy has a thing for anything halfway pretty that’s not related to him, he’d be just as happy to boink any other girl,” Lola points out, and Nikki snorts a laugh in mild agreement, “and the only reason we’re not fucking is because you’re afraid my dad’s gonna rip of your arms like he’s the fucking Wampa from Star Wars.” She punctuates it by eating the last chip, laying out beside Nikki on the gravel, checking her watch. Five minutes before their break ends.
“Leo wouldn’t rip off my arms- I don’t think Leo would rip off my arms!” Nikki counters defensively, but that just has Lola laughing as she corrects -
“Sorry, no, your exact wording was ‘I don’t want your dad to Kali Ma my fucking heart like I’m that little bastard from Indiana Jones’,” Lola does an absolutely atrocious impersonation of Nikki, who’s laughing despite himself, “which you only took back because I told you he wasn’t Indian, and even if he was, it’s kind of a fucked thing to say,” Lola tells him pointedly, shifting onto her side, propping her head up on her hand as she smirked at Nikki.
When Nikki looks at her, green eyes shining in the overcast, afternoon light, there’s something unreadable, teasing and soft all at once, like he’s entertaining an idea he’d considered unthinkable.
“I don’t think I could look Leo in the eye if I banged his daughter,” Nikki’s voice is soft and low, though he’s grinning wide, tone coy, eyes creasing in the corners, and Lola’s gaze flicks to his lips.
“For Leo’s sake, then,” Lola matches his tone, corner of her mouth twitching into a sharp smirk when she finally looks back to his eyes, “and Tommy’s too,” she teases, pushing herself into a sitting position; she can hear it when he presses his head further into the gravel in exasperation, swearing under his breath. When Lola stands and smiles, the picture of innocence, she offers Nikki her hand to help him up; Nikki rolls his eyes, but is still smiling when he accepts.
“Your hair looks dorky like that,” Lola teases as she climbs down the fire escape.
“I know,” Nikki sighs, “but its better than getting hair in everyone’s food; I’m not gonna be the reason your dad fails a health inspection,” Nikki adds, a strange hint of protectiveness in his voice that warms Lola’s heart in a way she hadn’t anticipated.
“Don’t worry, Leo’s never failed a health inspection, he doesn’t intend to start any time soon.”
love is a dream someone else had last night.
Eileen and Razzle see fit to join their ragtag bunch of misfits at lunch the following Monday by the open gate and the science carpark, which Lola had been informed was the teachers’ carpark.
Lola doesn’t care who sits with them, except for the fact that she’d taken the leftover lemon merengue tart from the diner since it was being replaced with an apple crumble, and there was only enough for four. For the past week, Eileen’s been alternating sitting with them and sitting elsewhere, but she hadn’t been here last Monday, so Lola had assumed - anyways, now she’s worried she looks like a bitch, and not for an actual reasonable reason.
“What do you mean you almost got with Heather on Friday?!” Charlotte’s voice was somewhere between a horrified and disbelieving squeak where she was picking at the crust of the piece of tart she was sharing with Eileen. The lemon merengue debacle turned out to not be much of an issue, with Charlotte and Eileen sharing, and Tommy and Lola sharing too. Lola was incredibly focused on picking at a scab through the hole in the knee of her jeans.
“I mean I had my hand in her fucking panties when someone -” Nikki cast a very pointed look to Lola, “knocked on the door threatening to throw up, and I got shoved out a window,” Nikki played up being irritated, despite the fact that he was laying out on his side directly behind Lola, while she was leaning into him.
“You’re my hero,” Eileen told Lola, serious as ever, while Charlotte cackled with delight, and Razzle snickered from where he was touching up the left hand of Tommy’s sharpie-nails.
“You guys are a bunch of assholes,” Nikki huffed, shoving the remained or his own piece of tart into his mouth.
“I brought you food, show some fuckin’ respect,” Lola smirked despite herself, gently elbowing him in the ribs; he flicks her knee in retaliation.
“Absolutely not; you’re a cockblocking traitor and the worst friend I’ve got,” Nikki announced, nose in the air, and Lola leans all her weight back suddenly, tipping Nikki onto his back and laying heavy across his stomach as she demanded he take it back, the two of them getting into a petty squabbling match, shoving at each other while the others could only look on in exasperated amusement.
“I thought Heather had a boyfriend,” Eileen pipes up, to which Charlotte makes a a gentle ‘eh’ noise in the back of her throat.
“She’s getting laid,” Charlotte corrects with half a smirk, and everyone who was paying half attention understand easily. Tommy sighs, but it’s not nearly as dejected as he’s known for whenever the topic of girls he fancies being with other people comes up.
“Whatever, I got to second base with Pam that night, and no-one can take that away from me,” Tommy announces, watching Razzle finish off his pinkie.
“Good for you, man,” Razzle says, with his trademark sincerity. Eileen and Charlotte still can’t believe it happened, but unfortunately both Razzle and Vince had seen with their own two eyes and been able to confirm; Vince may be biased, but Charlotte trusted Razzle.
“Everyone got some fuckin’ action that night except for me,” Nikki whines, finally shoving himself off, “and the fuckin’ Vomit Comet over here,” he jerked his thumb to where Lola was righting herself; Lola flips him off in response.
“I didn’t,” Eileen points out.
“You weren’t there,” Nikki rolls his eyes, “you don’t count.”
Meanwhile Razzle and Charlotte had both gone very quiet, and very pink. However Lola, who had no patience for people trying to hide their somewhere-between-pining-and-sincere feelings from each other and from other people, instead turns her attention to Eileen as she’s sweeping her hair out of her face.
“Have things gotten any better with Peach?” She tried, tone hopeful, and Eileen’s expression barely changed, just the barest crease of a frown upon her forehead, though judging by the way Charlotte’s whole expression soured, things had not, in fact, gotten better.
“Came back on Saturday afternoon all sunny and smiley and mom was thrilled,” Eileen’s deadpan irritation really sold her exasperation at the whole situation, “that she was friends with Vince again, and she hasn’t said a word to me yet.” Eileen takes a deep breath, straightening up from where she’d been slouched without realizing, taking a deep breath, nose in the air as if rising above it all, “which is fine with me, because I have a ton of dialogue to learn and they want us off-book in a month.”
This only sets them off fondly teasing the ever-unflappable Eileen, for her seemingly out of character choice to join the school’s musical, though they were all very proud of the fact that she scored the lead, even Nikki had voiced that he thought it was pretty cool.
When Lola had asked about it, Eileen had made mention that it filled in a lot of free time, that it was something she could add to college applications, and that a friend had convinced her to do it; Keanu -
“I keep hearing that name around,” Lola muses, leaning back in her seat while they were waiting for their French teacher to arrive. Eileen raises her eyebrows, “is that the pretty, dark haired Senior?” Eileen, surprisingly, had flushed scarlet when nodding. Lola hummed thoughtfully, leaning back further until the front legs of her chair lifted from the ground; she hooked her feet around the legs of her desk as she contemplated.
“It’s a musical right?” Lola asked, and Eileen hummed in confirmation, “if you can sing, you know Nikki and Tommy are -”
“I’d rather eat an entire microphone,” Eileen responds flatly, already knowing what Lola was about to suggest before she’d even finished her sentence, and Lola really tries not to laugh, but she knows Eileen well enough by now that that response makes entirely too much sense.
“You make a fair -” and that’s when Lola’s grip on the table slips, her feet sliding quickly up the legs of the desk as she topples backwards, the momentum pulling the desk up with her legs and directly on top of her, winding her. At least it made Eileen laugh, mostly from shock, sure, but Lola counts it as a win.
Ever Night
How does she always make the worst decisions 😑
Tumblr media
I am trying SO HARD to stan but she makes it so difficult 😒
***
These people are the only ones I stand behind on this show. The rest are all getting on my very last nerve.
Tumblr media
I am so sick of the Tang Emperor, he has no spine and no common sense and this pitiful attempt to give the Empress a story arc of her own was beyond underwhelming. Like, choose your position and stick to it, ffs!
***
LMAOOOO, weren’t you trying to murder her, like, 2 seconds ago?
Tumblr media
When will this show go back to being intelligent 😫
***
I mean, he’s not wrong, but who the hell wrote this script?
Tumblr media
=> the Elder sneaks in to murder the Emperor
=> the Elder tries to murder the Empress when she won’t aid him in killing the Emperor
=> the Elder gets the Emperor to agree to his terms with severe political, religious and military repercussions with no real leverage whatsoever except pointing a stick at the Empress
=> (the royal guard is somehow unbothered and nowhere to be seen)
=> the Elder is suddenly worried about the state of the royal marriage again and apparently concerned about Empress’ happiness after she unrepentantly abandoned their people in a frozen wasteland to live a life of luxury and he tried to murder her for it
=> the princess does the only logical thing there is to do when an assassin infiltrates the goddamn palace to threaten the lives of her royal father and his wife
=> (the captain of the royal guard appears and remains unbothered)
=> Emperor: “Tell my daughter to go away, nothing to see here, it’s not an assassination attempt, just a tiny squabble with my in-laws!”
=> the Elder points out the absurdity of this entire situation as if we’re now supposed to laugh off this whole debacle of a script and write off literal attempted regicide on a quip from a quirky old man who ~loves~ his daughter even though he just tried to kill her
Me: ................................................... 🙄🙄
***
LMAO, and since there was obviously no logical resolution to this whole damn ridiculous mess, the writers decided to conclude the entire shitty arc by having the Elder commit suicide for no good reason via terrible special effects 🤣🤣
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I cannot with this nonsense 🤣🤣
***
I’m becoming more and more sympathetic to Li Yu. I mean, she’s insufferable and a brat, but her father is just so... worthless. He replaced her mother with his mistress (and could do it with no repercussions because he’s the most powerful man in the country), had her married off to a feral tribe when she voiced her objections and is now threatening to kill her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, she’s cold-blooded, somewhat selfish and self-centred and has a massive blind spot when it comes to her sadistic idiot brother, but her father is a really shitty parent to all of his children.
I feel like the narrative keeps trying to make the Emperor a sympathetic, honorable character but he’s just so self-serving, spineless and cowardly and all he does all day is angst about how hard his life is. Also, there is no honour to be found anywhere. It’s canon that he’s more than willing to let corruption go unchecked and his family to get away with murder, torture and a bunch of other bullshit, as long as it benefits him. Chao Xiaoshu was right to wash his hands of all his filth.
***
Ha! Here we go! Finally, we get to the bottom of his age!
Tumblr media
So, he was 8 yrs old when Xia Hou attempted to kill him, fifteen years passed from that point until his arrival in the capital, which made him 23 yrs old at the time, and at least a year has passed since then. That means he is at least 24 right now.
@dangermousie I suppose they upped his age because they cut the transmigration part and there is zero chance a four-year-old is going to survive killing to stay alive and taking care of a baby at the same time. Even an eight-year-old is pushing it.
***
Every single scene with that Mo woman is such pure nonsense. Elementary school villains trying to boost her relevance, nonsense all over the place. I am losing braincells by the moment.
***
OMFG, this stupidity is never-ending 😑😑
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is really, really hard to be invested in the story when the stakes are this manufactured.
***
When the writing is so bad, it literally gives you second hand embarrassment.
***
All the hate 🤮
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fact that Sang Sang is waiting for him at home, thinking of him every minute of every day, and here he is, sowing his wild oats, just gets to me on a visceral level. Fuck this entire collection of (poorly written) tropes with a cactus. It absolutely ruins stories for me and this one is also very much ruined at this point.
***
I am beyond pissed off. Crystal Yuan is now firmly on my no-watch list.
***
This is how this useless character is described on Wikipedia: Gentle and delicate, her pureness is reflected in her cultivation as well as her honest attitude toward love.
Nauseating 🤮🤮
***
Exactly! The note is for Sang Sang, not you!
Tumblr media
Go fuck yourself.
***
“When will he write a little note just for me?”
Bitch, never! At least I hope.
***
LMAOOO, “Do you know how many girls I have lining up for me?”
Tumblr media
I very much doubt anyone is lining up for your stank rapist ass.
***
LMAOOOO, he is such a mood 🤣🤣
Tumblr media
This is my exact face when some moron starts rambling about Heaven and Hell, how the Devil is coming to bring about the end of the world and how we must kill all those who practice the same faith a bit differently because some old man proclaiming himself as an authority figure says so and claims it’s written in a book in an ancient language that I can’t personally read and have never even seen 🙄🙄
Come to your senses already, Ning Que! Is this sheltered fool really who you want to be in love with? Ask yourself, is she really wise, deep and intelligent, or is she just rich and conventionally attractive?
Also, let’s not get into the idiocy of her old man shifu sending this stupid child into the wilderness in the middle of a war to look for the original copy of a holy book that every single power faction is also looking for and will definitely kill to obtain. And that is before we even get to the two of them travelling alone, her wearing a pristine white outfit, and apparently carrying no supplies with her. Like???????
I want to go back to the first episodes when this show was still good 😭😭
Prison break, another chance
Tumblr media
You followed the guard with a stoic face plastered on your features, feeling the slight movement of your overcoat almost floating behind you as you walked through the cells of tartarus...
"Have to say miss, have no idea how ya can keep coming in here after what he done so far." The only answer you gave it to the guard was a shrug before readjusting the beak mask on your face with a cough.
Honestly, how Kai could breath and hold this thing...?
You stopped just when the guard did, bowing his head in respect and showing it with his palm at the place where you should enter.
You thanked him and closed the door, seating down on a chair, waiting for the man himself to appear.
Chisaki was brought by a guard, physical form easing up a bit at seing your presence on the room. The guard who brought him dismissed himself and told you two that you had only half a hour before abruptly closing the cell.
"You didn't showed up for the past weeks." He whispered, dissapointment and hurt present on it as he pushed his chair to sit on with his new robotic arms. "And your eyebags grew..." he pointed our coldly, feeling like he was shotted at the fact that you weren't looking at him... more interested on your hands placed on your lap.
"Of course they grew, think having the love of your entire fucking life imprissioned in tartarus is the best thing that let me sleep at peace?" You said angrily as you controlled the burning feeling of your eyes before breathing in slowly to look up at him... numbly.
He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out... now his owm head hanging low. Metalic hands now interviewed together ass he rested his forehead on them.
".. you found my mask and now you're using it. Intriguing." He winced mentally at hearing your scoff, glancing back at you to found you had crossed your arms over your chest. "What's the deal? Why such attitude?"
You let out a bitter chuckle, averting your eyes from him for a bit before looking onto his eyes again.
"What was that thing again you said once to me? Our relationship is based on 'trust'?" You leaned up a bit to look at him deep on his eyes "How longer did you hide the girl and experiments from me Chisaki?"
He gagged... he freaking gagged.
Hearing his surname falling from your lips in such a... hurt and betrayed tone of voice made him feel... worse than he was already.
Not only he ruined the whole yakusa, left his father figurine on a coma, but also left his lover... his angel whose he so desperately didn't want it involved.
"Angel, it was-"
"For a better cause? Keep your words, please." You leaned back on your chair with a huff, checking the time on your wristwatch, boucing your leg a bit.
"(Y/n)..." he breathed out, not knowing anymore what he could do to ease your feelings since he was mentally panicking...
He couldn't lost you too... please don't do this. Just listen to him.
You looked at him, raising one of your eyebrows up.
"It was to retribuite his kindness, it was to return this sick world back to normal, bring the yakusa back from the shadows, you got to-!"
You lift yourself from your chair, starung him down, his mask covering half of your face made difficult to him to see how you were feeling...
Although he did saw your eyes... which pierced his chest by the way you looked at him.
"You lied to me Chisaki. You hided this from me and also got arrested, most of the yakusa was... have any idea how hurt I am and how difficult this is for me?" He widened his eyes at seing one silent tear drop from your eye.
"I-" he got interrupted by some beeps coming from your wristwatch, you widened your eyes a bit and returned the chair to the inicial place.
"Angel, it didn't reached half a hou-"
"I have some things to do." You walked towards him and looked at the camera apprehensively.
"(Y/N)... please." He almost begged while reaching his metal hand to grip on your clothing, refusing to accept that his lover was getting out of here before the time stabilized... getting away from him with absolutely hatred.
"Good bye. Chisaki." Just before he could even get up you whispered onto his ear before grabbing onto his hand.
'Run as fast as you can'
He arched one eyebrow, golden eyes puffy red but yet refusing to let go of any tear before he almost jumped at the sound of explosion.
"NOW!" you shouted while dragging him out of the cell.
While running, your free hand came up to your ear, pressing onto some device that only now he had noticed.
"KURONO AND IRINAKA JUST GET IN POSITION! GET RIKIYA TO RETREAT FROM THE ATTACK!" you shouted.
Kurono? Irinaka?
What?
He tried to formulate words before the same guard that had lead him to the chat room vlicked you two from the way.
"BITCH YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!" You let go of Chisaki's hand to dodge and pushed Chisaki out of his attack while in one quick and gracious movement you crouched down to give the man a sweep and then spin again in the air to kick the poor security guard's jagular, making the poor guy unhurt, but completely knocked out.
You quickly stole his gun and hold it close to you.
Chisaki was absolutely out of words... his angel just did that? THAT?
You heard shouts from guards and Nemoto and Tengai's, cursing under the mask yiu got up again and looked around to see if any guards were coming up.
"Kai come on!" You shouted as you mentioned for him to follow you.
His metal hand grabbed onto your shoulder and spun you around, disbelied and confused golden eyes staring you down.
"Kai we have to go!" You almost shouted while letting out ome or two tears.
"What did you do?" He asked hushed, not caring about the loud sirens and shouts coming from everwhere.
"Dumbass we're taking you out of here!" You almost cried, gripping onto his metal wrist.
"Why? You ruined your life with this! HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT ARE YOU RISKING?!" he shouted, feeling his own eyes watered as he shook your shoulders slightly.
"YES I FUCKING AM! IM SAVING THE ASS OF THE MAN I LIVE FOR AND LOVE! WHAT ABOUT IT?! I AM THE BOSS OF THE YAKUSA FOR NOW SO LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE KAI CHISAKI!"
"I WON'T LET YOU RUIN YOUR WHOLE LIFE FOR HAVING ME BACK IDIOT!" you two turned your heads at heating the amount of sounds of guards running, you two intestantly going up for the fire exit.
"You ruined my life already Chisaki Kai!" You said between muffled breaths, Chisaki widening his eyes and feeling a hreat griff and sorrow corrupt his soul... until you looked from your shoulder to him, with teary but he could tell that how your cheek bones had raised up that you were... smilling. Smilling for him.
"You ruined my life for getting out of it... so I am getting my devil back." You kicked the door open, smilling widely behind that mask at seing the helicopter.
"KURONO! IRINAKA!" You shouted at the top of your lungs, shortly after seing the ladder that Hari throwed from up above.
"HoP On FuCkInG IdiOTs!" Mimic yelled as he down at you both, both him and Hari smirking.
"How the hell did you got these two idiots out of prison?" Chisaki asked in disbelief as he stared up with wide eyes.
Tengai and Nemoto passed through you two and quickly climbed up to the machine, Tengai saying something about 'be quick boss' to you as he pushed himself up.
You placed your feet up before notocing that Chisaki didn't make any movements to follow you.
"Kai?" You asked before yelping at feeling you were being pushed away from the building "WHAT THE HELL IRINAKA?! KAI IS STILL HERE! KURONO TELL HIM TO STOP!"
"WE HAVE TO GO! THE COPS ARE GETTING CLOSER!" Hari shouted back.
"TiCK FUcKInG ToC BettEr HOp FucKinG On!" Mimic yelled while he curswd loudly at seing the cops getting closer....he had to lift up.
You widened your eyes in horror, before looking at Chisaki with pleadind and esperate expression.
"Please! KAI!"
"I don't deserve this..." he murmured as he hearded the shouts of the cops coming to him... "My angel got into this... I ruined everything, lost everything..."
"KAAAAIII!" You shouted at the top of your lungs, extending your hand desperately at him... waking him up from his self deprecating thought as he widened his eyes at the scene above him.
His angel crying out and extending her hand to him... for him to grab it.
He swallowed the air stuck on his throat...
~
"I bet he only needs time for him to understand that whatever it is your method will work, Kai... be a little pacient." You cooed sympathetically, hesitantly placing a hand on his shoulder and carresing it sweetly.
His gloved hand came to grip on yours as his head still lung low as he stared at the outside.
"Maybe if I talk-"
"No." He breathed out, slowly pushing your hand away from his shoulder to bring you to a close hug "I told you. Its business stuff... you don't need to worry about it... I just..."
"You want to repay him for taking you in." You smiled as he squeezed you to him tighter "Kai, even if you don't want to tell me becaus eyou worry about my mental health or something..." you pushed his chest a bit far away to look up at him with a sweet smile.
The way the city and the shiny sky lights reflect on your beautiful eyes were just... fascinating to him.
"I'm always by your side. Chisaki Kai. Even if the whole world burns down."
~
While your words echoed in his mind his legs moved onto their own, running at the end of the building.
Grab on her hand. Granb it-!
Just as he took one last step he jumped as high as he could, clenching his jaw and extending his right metalic arm in your direction.
GRAB IT AND NEVER LET GO AGAIN-! NEVER MAKE HER FEEL THIS WAY YOU DID IT ONCE-!
Your hands connected, you cried out loud a happy and relieved sound.
"Thank God!" You cried as he stared you up, golden wide yet relieved eyes piercing your soul.
Chrono shouted in glee before pushing you two up along with Rikiya. Just as you two got in you let go of his hand to grab onto a device, a small box with a button that you had pressed onto it and gave it to Rikiya.
"You know what to do big guy." He nodded in agreement and threw it just above Tartarus, exploding into a wide and huge puff of purple smoke.
"Wha-"
"It will erased their minds of the current event... I placed a hologram on your cell that's exactly a replic..." you said while taking off the mask with a relieved sigh.
You guys were in the ground in minutes, everyone jumping off with victorious shouts at the fa t they just broked into Tartarus.
"ThE YaKUSa Is BaCK AgAIn BiTChEs!" Mimic yelled witha fist on the air.
"HELL FUCKING YEAH!" Kurono shouted along just when Kai had jumped out of the helicopter and offered his hand to help you down.
"You brought not only them, but all the precepts of death back." He mumbled in disbelief.
"Almost. Bitch Rappa stayed fucking behind." You mumbled before you giggled.
Tengai bowed along with Nemoto.
"Thanks to miss (Y/n) sama we got the honor of getting you back master Overhaul."
Setsuno smirked alomg with his three commurates nodding in agreement.
"Be proud dude. Your girlfriend was the one who took us out of our prison and brought the yakusa back up again." Chrono commented while wiping the sweat on his forehead.
Chisaki almost let out a sob as he looked at your smilling self, offering him his plague mask.
"I cleaned Kai... sorry! Ovedhaul."
He looked at the mask before shoving it away to brought you to a crushing hug. Not only surprising you but the whole gang as well.
"The greatest blessing that I will have on my whole life is having you..." he parted from your hug to wiped one tear away from your eye "my dear angel as my partner..."
"Cheesy shit." Mimic got punched from Chrono for that.
You touched foreheads together for one last time, before Chisaki darkened his eyes and looked at mens.
"The Shie Hassaikai is back from the shadows." He said numbly.
"And thank god im not the leader anymore..." you sighed with a giggle, smilling widely at the brighest look you saw from your boyfriend.
He had hope again.Chisaki Kai was back. Not Overhaul.
Kai. Your Kai Chisaki was back.
The 100?
Thank you Nonnie!!! :)
Top 5 favourite characters:
Echo / Emori / Raven / Murphy / Octavia
Other characters you like:
A lot, actually! Off the top of my head, Lexa, Clarke (although not in the way most people like her, I enjoy her as an anti-hero lmao), Bellamy, Monty, Jasper, Lincoln, Indra!
Least favourite characters:
Aside from the obvious villains obviously, I’m gonna say Kane and Abby. I never really cared for their stories, I’ve hated Abby since season 1 and Kane since s5 there’s just something about them being absolutely awful leaders and blaming kids for their failures that I can’t get behind.
Otps:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basically lmao.
No but seriously, I think their love story is just great on so many levels, they’re the only love story I really care about in the show.
Other couples I really like are: Bellamy and Echo, Octavia and Lincoln, Octavia and Niylah, Octavia and Diyoza, Murphy and Emori and Raven, Echo and Raven, Jasper and Maya, Monty and Harper
Notps:
..... Bellarke lmao.
I enjoy the dynamic between Bellamy and Clarke, but I never saw it as romantic, and that’s how I enjoyed it. I love their ennemies to reluctant allies dynamic, I love the fact that their relationship is dysfunctional I love the parallels between Clarke and Octavia. But I don’t enjoy it at all as a romantic dynamic.
Favourite friendships:
Monty and Jasper, Octavia and Jasper, Raven and Murphy
Favourite family:
This is almost only found family because this show has a ton of found family dnamics that I love!! The Blake siblings, Spacekru, Octavia Diyoza and Hope, Raven and Finn.
Favourite episodes:
Murphy’s Law, Blood Must have Blood part 1 and part 2, Thirteen, The Chosen, Pramfayia, Red Queen, The Garden
Favourite season/book/movie:
Season 2. It has my favorite version of Lexa, it has Bellamy and Echo meeting, it has the most interesting antagonists (in my opinion haha). Season 4 is a close second though!
Favourite quotes:
“You believe that to defeat an ennemy who will stop at nothing, you must stop at nothing. How is that any different than Blood must have Blood?” - Luna in s3, because I think this quote shows very well the central conflict of the show, one that was established by Finn in s1: We have to try not to repeat history, and yet everytime, they do repeat it. I disagree with Luna in that instance because the threat that was ALI wasn’t like any other, but I agree with her sentiment.
“In peace, may you leave this shore. In love, may you find the next. Safe passage on your travels. Until our final journey to the Ground. May we meet again.” LISTEN. If there’s is one thing of the world building I absolutely adore, it’s the Traveler’s Blessing. It’s a beautiful prayer, and it gives me all the right emotions when I think about it. I was disappointed with what the show was making of it in seasons 2 and 3, with characters saying it all around, but then there are two instances that really get to me: Octavia and Bellamy saying it over the dead radio at the end of s4, and Monty / Bellamy and Clarke saying it at the end of season 5.
Best musical moment:
I loved the way the music carried the scene right after Lexa’s death, how it melts from Lexa’s death and Titus saying his ritual words, to Becca reaching earth, back to Lexa and the Flame coming out of her.
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest:
Oh boy there are a LOT Off the top of my head: when Monty refuses to leave Jasper alone when he gives his blood to Maya, when Murphy says “Touch me again and I’ll end you... in a non-criminal way”, when Becho was confirmed in s5, When Clarke managed to align the satellite dish in Pramfyia, when Octavia confronted Skaikru in The Chosen,.... I can’t think of others right now but there are a lot lmao You can check out my favorite scenes series if you want, I’m working on it slowly!
When it really disappointed you:
A lot of times, honestly... I’m gonna say, all of season 6. I hated it. It had so much potential, with characters having to deal with the aftermath of season 5, Monty and Harper dying, Jordan existing, Wonkru.... Instead we got a whole mess that didn’t do much for any character and I was really disappointed.
Saddest moment:
Lincoln’s death. I knew it was coming because I knew the actor was leaving the show, but I was so NOT READY for it omg it’s the scene I still cry everytime I watch it because it’s so sad and heartwrenching....
Most well done character death:
Okay so I think The 100 is really bad at having well done character deaths, so I’m gonna say my less well-done one lmaoooo
Lexa’s. Her death was so stupid. I wasn’t in the fandom at the time so I wasn’t aware of the awful queerbaiting that was going on, so without talking about BTS and marketing ploys, I do believe that her death was heavily predicted by the show. However, it was a stupid death and Lexa was too awesome a character to die by a stray bullet. She deserved a proper send-off, she deserved to die in an epic battle, or fighting for what she believed in,..... not a bullet.
Favourite guest star:
I know Shawn Mendes (Mendez? I don’t know lmao i don’t know him) was a guest star but I don’t know any other guest star so I guess that’s my answer lmao
Favourite cast member:
I don’t follow the cast, so I don’t have a favorite xD
Character you wish was still alive:
Jasper and Finn both deserve to still be alive, because the show treated their mental struggles like shit and I’m very bitter about that!
One thing you hope really happens:
Honestly, I don’t know? We have four episodes left of the entire show and I have no idea where it’s headed lmao I guess I hope both Emori and Murphy survive to see the end and have a long and happy life <3
Most shocking twist:
Okay I actually have three so I’ll you my top three:
1- The revelation of the Mountain Men. I was absolutely NOT expecting this to happen and I was gasping and going “nooooooooo way!!!” at my computer because it was so out of nowhere!! I loved it lmao
2- Murphy discovers that ALI destroyed the world: the ending of s2. That scene is so chilling, Murphy watching the video of Chris crying and killing himself, cut with scenes of Jaha getting to the mansion and the wholse scene with ALI herself... that whole scene was really cool and unexpected!
3- Clarke and Jaha steal the bunker during the conclave. I was so SHOOK by this moment, it was such a bold move and I loved it!
When did you start watching/reading?:
Early January, 2015. I was back at my appartment waiting for the semester to start, my roommates weren’t back from the holidays yet, and I was bored. So I started the show, and I binged all of season 1 and half of season 2 in 24 hours xD I caught up at Spacewalker, and then had to wait two weeks for the next episode to air and it was agony!!!!
Best animal/creature:
HELIOS THE BEST HORSE THERE IS
Favourite location:
The Second Dawn Bunker. Yeah I know it’s strange coming from me because I absolutely hate so many things about the bunker xD But it was such a cool location!! With the rotunda/arena, the farm, the huge corridors,.....
Trope you wish they would stop using:
“It’s the end of the world, whatever shall we do???” I’m just tired you guys. Nuclear apocalypses and other bombings should not be that common lmao
One thing this show/book/film does better than others:
I love the fact that it has so many different and well developped female characters.It shouldn’t be rare, but it still is, and this show really stands out to me for that reason. I’m not saying it’s the peak of feminism or anything because lmao IT’S NOT. But the women of the show have agency, freedom, they’re all distinct from one another and not just tropes and cliches. I really like it.
Funniest moments:
Nothing comes to mind right now? I feel like an idiot lmao I have so many moments that make me laugh and I can’t think of a single one right now x)
Couple you would like to see:
I would love to have canon Murphy x Emori x Raven!!
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast:
Nobody haha sorry
Favourite outfit:
Blodreina’s cape thingy!
Tumblr media
Favourite item:
Raven’s necklace!!! I’m actually hoping to make myself one someday, it’s my favorite thing ^^
Do you own anything related to this show/book/film?:
Nothing!
What house/team/group/friendship group/family/race etc would you be in?:
I wish I could be spacekru haha they’re the best found family of the whole show and we deserved a flashback episode for them <3
Most boring plotline:
the entirety of season 6 xDDDDD
No but seriously, I’m gona say Illian’s plot. Honestly I never got into it at all, I didn’t care enough about him, or his family.
Most laughably bad moment:
I mean, the pilot is pretty cringe-worthy xD
Best flashback/flashfoward if any:
the flashbacks of the Dark Year.
Most layered character:
Octavia
Most one dimensional character:
Jordan lmao I was so disappointed with his story in s6.....
Scariest moment:
OMG in season 2 when Bellamy, Octavia and the guards go into the old parking garage and CAROL OF THE BELLS START PLAYING THAT WAS SO FUCKING CREEPY
Grossest moment:
Ewwww the whole worm thing happening in s5, AND the weird trees growing inside people in s6 xD
Best looking male:
S5 Murphy, hands down. Also s7 Murphy cause he spends half his time shirtless lmao
Best looking female:
Emori! She’s so pretty.
Who you’re crushing on (if any):
I mean everybody is gorgeous but I don’t have a particular fixation haha
Favourite cast moment:
I don’t watch interviews or BTS stuff so I don’t know much, but Richard Harmon wearing hie sister’s costume and wig was really funny ^^
Favourite transportation:
Becca’s rocket
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise):
It’s very obvious symbolism, but I love the last shot of Blood must have blood part 1, with Clarke standing alone in front of the door of Mount Weather.
Also, Octavia forcing the clans into submission in Red Queen, the mini conclave in fron of the doors of the vafeteria. The shots in that scene were really good!
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you:
Lmaooooooo do you have ten hours? Because that’s how long I can ramblr about the inconsistencies and plotholtes of this show x) Off the top of my head:
- Why does everybody on the Ark speak Enlighs?
- If Becca knew Nightblood could let you live on Earth then why didn’t she distribute it among the space stations?
- Why did Cadogan build the bunker in the middle of the city when he had a prefectly good FOREST??
- If Lexa is the first Commander to unite the clans then what was the role of the Commander before her?
- Why didn’t the Ark send one adult with the 100 (Pyke) to protect and help them?
- How come the Eligius IV prisoners don’t die when they come back to Earth in s5 since they have no nightblood and didn’t adapt through evolution?
- How is it that Spacekru survived with algea alone but Wonkru had to have this huge variety of plants?? WHAT’S THE MAGIC ALGEA MONTY???
- Why did Mount Weather crash the Exodus ship?
- If the ressources on the Ark are so scarce then why would they float people with clothes on them?
- How come Raven could visit Finn in prison but Bellamy couldn’t visit Octavia?? If Octavia was in solitary, why?
...... Okay i’m gonna stop for now lmao but I could write an entire memoir on the inconsistencies of this show lmao
Best promo:
That one:
Tumblr media
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book:
I’m thinking Murphy’s Law? The first few episodes were a little too teenage-drama for me but this episode shifted my opinion enough to get me to keep watching ^^
Black Raspberry (Ch. Four)
Genre: Fanfiction (L x Light)
Words: 1.1k
Warnings: none
Description: Love is insanity. The ancient Greeks knew that. It is the taking over of a rational and lucid mind by delusion and self-destruction. You lose yourself, you have no power over yourself, you can’t even think straight. It makes you do things you would never understand when you were sane, or to others. You do everything you can, outside of your right mind, to help the person you love.
Even if it means the death of you.
This may be a sort of Coffee Shop au, but it is a REALLY GOOD COFFEE SHOP AU.
L's POV
I was sitting, shirtless with my iconic pajama pants, on my bed next to Light, scrolling through Tumblr as Fall Out Boy played quietly in the background. It was roughly eleven thirty at night, but of course, no rational person ever goes to sleep before one am. While I was sitting on my pillow at the head of my bed, Light was laying horizontally across the foot of my bed.
Neither of us minded the lack of conversation. We were both more of "hang out in the same room" and "just presence is enough" kind of people. I had just finished reading a Captain America x Iron Man mpreg one-shot when I said, "Hey, are you hungry?"
Light looked up from his phone. "Kind of, now that you mention it,"
I stood up and sauntered over to the kitchen. "Okay, I'll make us something. You down for spaghetti?" I smiled as he shot up at the sound of spaghetti. "I make a mean spaghetti."
"Yeah, I love spaghetti."
I grinned wider as he practically started drooling onto his bare chest over the sound of food. I opened the cabinet, throwing the necessary ingredients onto the table.
Light followed me into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island. "Can I help?"
"Sure," I responded, heating the water up on the stove. "you can start by getting me half a stick of butter and some minced garlic. In the fridge."
"Yes, chef!" He walked over to the fridge, rustling around a bit before resurfacing with the ingredients as I rolled my eyes. He sat them on the table, and after a few moments, I took them, placing the butter in the water along with a few spoonfuls of garlic.
"What's next, chef?" I chuckled at his remark.
"I need the black saucepan from the second cabinet on the right, the mushrooms from the white cabinet, and the tomato sauce cans need to be opened. While you do that, I can start on the noodles."
And he did just that. And twenty minutes and several messes caused by can opener malfunctions later, we had made two delicious plates of spaghetti, with plenty left over for tomorrow.
I pulled up another dining chair and placed it next to the original, and we both sat. I watched as Light picked up his fork, submerging it into the food and twisting the noodles around the prongs. He brought the fork up to his mouth.
"How is it?" I asked. He tasted the food, and let out a slightly erotic moan as he closed his eyes in ecstasy.
"Thish ish the besht-" he shoveled in more spaghetti. "-fushking schpagetthi-" and more. "-I have evah fuschking tashted-" and with moments, he had eaten the entire fucking plate.
"Damn, I take that as a compliment," I laughed, eating my food slowly. I handed him a napkin. "You have sauce on your face."
He blushed, instantly embarrassed. He wiped his face. "I'm sorry, I'm just used to, like, Ramen noodles and shit. I haven't had good, home-cooked food in a while."
I finished my plate, wiping my face as well. And then I started laughing hysterically.
"It's not funny," Light pouted. Which of course, only made me laugh harder.
"You," I pointed my fork at him. "are absolutely absurd. I do hope you are aware of that."
"I could say the same to you, mister."
"Then why don't you?" I challenged.
"Because.... because I am just too nice." He countered.
"Please." I rolled my eyes. "If you are 'too nice', than I am Mother Teresa herself."
"Are you suggesting that if I am 'mean', as you say, then you... lack innocence, perhaps?"
"Don't you dare try to make this sexual."
"It isn't sexual unless you make it sexual."
I threw up my hands. "You have already made this sexual!"
He grinned slyly, folding his hands under his chin. "The question is, are you enjoying it?"
I flipped him off, passive-aggressively snatching up his plate and taking the dirty dishes to the sink and hastily scrubbing them clean. The silence was deafening. The kitchen was completely silent as I moved through the cups, then the bowls, then the plates, pots, and saucepans. I had almost finished when I felt two arms wrap themselves around my waist and a deep voice say, "I'm sorry if I made you upset."
My body stiffened, unaware of how to handle the situation. Light didn't move, so I continued washing the dishes. When the last piece of silverware was finally clean, I drained the sink and rang out the sponge, placing it on the drying rack.
Light's head was laying on my shoulder, his arms still tight around my waist and his nose nuzzled into my neck. I dried my hands on a clean washcloth and reached my hand behind me, cupping his cheek. I tapped his arm with my free hand, telling him to let go, and he did. I then turned around and hugged him.
"It's fine, Light. I overreacted, it wasn't even something I should have gotten mad over, and I am sorry. You are forgiven."
He hugged me back tightly, nuzzling back into my neck. It baffled me how I was already so comfortable with someone I had just met. It was odd, but I didn't ponder on it for long. We held each other for a bit longer before we let go, and I smiled up at Light. His beautiful hazel eyes gleamed as he smiled back.
I blushed. "I need to take a shower, I'll go get your bed ready."
"No, it's okay. Just give me the sheets, and I'll take care of it." He seemed set on being kind, for once.
"No, really, it's okay-"
"No, I insist-"
"Please, you are my guest, I couldn't possibly." I turned around, picking up the sheets. "Besides, Light, it is my hou-"
I turned back to face Light just as he cradled my cheek and kissed me. I was completely caught off guard, causing me to drop the sheets onto the carpet. His lips were soft and sweet against my chapped ones, and I found myself wanting to kiss him back. Before I could, he pulled away, blushing and wide-eyed. "I-I'm sorry, that was stupid, I probably ruined everything, I'm idiot, I should probably g-"
"Shut up," I said, throwing my arms around his neck and returning the kiss. He was taken aback, but wrapped his hands around my waist, deepening the kiss.
My left hand reached up, playing with the hair at the nape his neck. He ran a hand up and down my sides and back, pulling me closer. His other hand ran around the back side of my neck, his hand running through my hair. As he kissed me with more passion, I found myself not wanting to stop.
Now, I am not usually used to being sure of things, but I was definitely sure of one thing.
I never wanted to let go of this boy. And I was going to keep him around as long as possible.
Ever Night
Beautiful man is beautiful 💖
Tumblr media
But, by God, he’s obnoxious 😫
***
Oh, yes, this will end well 🙄🙄
Tumblr media
***
YES, PLEASE!!
Tumblr media
Leave the old man to his bs and go fight! Please! I’m so bored.
***
Of course she is 🙄🙄
Tumblr media
Cue him going to rescue her and her getting the opportunity to show off how badass and secretly powerful she is despite her uwu gentle appearance.
Excuse me while I go and barf 🤮🤮
***
I hate that this is likely going to be the end of him 😒
Tumblr media
I mean, I always knew that he was destined to be fodder and that he would have to die to advance the plot, but I hate that he has to die to advance the cliché shoehorned plot of that idiotic Mo woman. I hate her and everything about her. In fact, I hate her so much, I think the actress is going to go on my no-watch list.
***
Ahahaha, I’m so glad!!
Tumblr media
Go General, go!! 🤗 When the script unequivocally has you cheering for the villain, you know something went seriously wrong 🤣🤣
***
WHAT THE HELL.
Tumblr media
THIS USELESS MO WOMAN IS CREDITED WITH A MAIN ROLE???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? AND ZOEY MENG???? OF ALL PEOPLE????? AND THAT’S BEFORE I EVEN GET STARTED ON THE USELESS FU ZI BORE AND THE POINTLESS FUCKING EMPEROR.
The only one who can stay on this list (other than the main two) is Kris Sun and even he is stretching it!
I AM INFURIATED 🤬🤬🤬
***
Give me a fucking break 🙄🙄
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is how I stop watching a show.
***
I can’t stop laughing 🤣🤣
Tumblr media
Everything about this entire sequence is just so dumb and pointless. General Lin Ling deserves better than this subpar writing and talentless brats he’s facing off against.
***
I AM HOWLING 🤣🤣
Tumblr media
THE DRAMATICS!!
***
Anyway, I went and googled this show-ruiner to make notes of which dramas to avoid and she’s the lead in Love and Redemption?? Her?????
That was on my to-watch this list but I guess it’s coming off now 😖 There is zero chance I’m watching 60 episodes of something with her in the lead role 🤮
***
I am so checked out of this show by now, it’s unreal.
***
I kept hoping for something intelligent from her, but no.
Tumblr media
My crush on her is dead in the water. What the absolute fuck happened to this drama in the last few episodes?
***
However, watching him get his ass handed to him was fun. More of this content, please!!
Tumblr media
I am at this point 100% behind the demon tribe and the Empress and Xia Hou should be ashamed for turning their backs on their people.
***
I am taking back every harsh thing I ever said about the Princess! 😭 Tong Yao, please come back and reclaim the screentime being usurped by people with no charisma or acting skills! At least you are entertaining and have a presence on-screen, not to mention chemistry with your love interests! 😭😭
***
You should have poisoned him when you had the chance 🥱
Tumblr media
BUT IT’S NOT TOO LATE! YOU CAN STILL DO IT AND SAVE US ALL FROM THIS SNOOZE FEST! DO IT! PLEASE DO IT, AND ALL YOUR SINS WILL BE FORGIVEN!
***
Funny, I like you less and less with every minute you go on with this nonsense.
Tumblr media
I hate het romance sfm. Prime example right here as to why.
***
Kill me now 😑😑
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The garbage is never-ending.
***
The two most inane characters having the most boring cat fight ever 😒
Tumblr media
I can’t stand either of them. They can both fuck off with the  ~snow lotus~ act. Sang Sang and Li Yu rule.
***
God, I felt my IQ drop into substrate after listening to their idiocy 😑
***
Mte, Elder 🙄🙄 Mte!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The nosedive this show had taken is astounding.
