My parents had a "Happy Trails" party for Thomas and I, my sister and her husband tonight. . Eight years ago Thomas and his mom packed up what they could into a moving truck and said goodbye to North Carolina as they headed to Illinois. In about eight days, we'll be officially moved into the van and on our way down the road. It will be the first time in my 29 years that I won't know when I'll be seeing my family again.
