anyway Arthur being colder and more callous DOES break my heart because in the dreamlands he fought SO hard to stay human. So hard. And the king absolutely took that away from him. But it does haunt me that the implication is that Yellow would have turned into John much faster if Arthur was still warm, overly-trusting, and kind.

It’s SO GOOD that now their roles are reversed in which John is being the more humane of the two. And Arthur is more monstrous now. Like. god. that’s so fucking tasty. the human is losing his humanity while the eldritch horror gains it more and more.
