augh i’ll definitely post about it bc i have SUCH a soft spot for it

it’s cheesy to admit but the game got me through some rough times before i landed on twst lmao (and it's literally the ONLY game i did somewhat of a self-insert hgdkfj)

if you’re into slice of life visual novels, PLEASE check this out, it’s free on steam (it has paid dlcs (that i all paid for bc i love the game so much) but the game is still VERY enjoyable without it)

it has so much 2000s-2010s nostalgic vibes, and it doesnt force you to a romance if you don’t want to (at least from what i remember but im pretty confident that’s the case)

and the main “love interest” is the CUTEST OUGH

it’s not really “exciting” per se since it’s a slice of life, BUT BUT—

the arcana (nix hydra): another niche(?) visual novel free on the app store about a magician mc and tarot cards (grossly summarizing it), i’d recommend if you like fantasy/dark themes 🫶 i have a soft spot for it too bc it was one of my first oc x canon i started posting when i was younger <3 (i’d like to consider the art style of this dating sim “unconventionally pretty” like it’s not your usual anime otome game art style. it’s definitely not for everyone but i personally like it)

cult of the lamb: i have a one-off lamb oc but if i do post about this, it’s probably going to be more about gameplay than oc-posting tbh

honkai star rail: i have no ocs in this game but i LOVE playing for the characters/story so it’ll prob be just me reacting to story stuff and agonizing over gacha pulls

+ probably other franchises (like other anime or video games and stuff) i might make fanart of or just talk about

AGAIN TO CLARIFY: i'll still be twst-posting first and foremost because i know it’ll be my main fandom for a LONG while, i really don’t see myself dropping it any time soon!! these other fandoms are just side interests

and considering my track record of ONLY focusing on certain twst characters/ocs, i don't think the fandoms i mentioned here will show very often anyway 😭

ough okay this is my time to shine. i have a whole set of them ("sold as a set, do not separate") so i must talk abt them all

i dont know if theyd count as talented but i love them all very much so i will talk about all four

theyre all in the 212th in their own little group, i call them prisma squadron for now but im trying to find a better name

first off is dex, ct-3984, he/they. the medic, hes... hes a silly little guy. oldest of the group, and probably the closest thing to force-sensitive out of any of them. (of course, jango wasnt force-sensitive, but each clone is unique in the force, so its not too far-fetched to say that it might interact differently with each individual clone.) hes nowhere near as connected to the force as the jedi are, of course, but it lends him a bit of a natural talent when it comes to knowing how best to help his brothers when they need it.

theyre also very good at foraging for native plants when their company is planetside - they kinda have to be, as his less,, rationally inclined brothers in his squadron find it fun to just sorta. eat whatever they can find. just about anything is better than the rations theyre served, in their opinions. luckily, dex always takes the time to check and see which native plants are edible before he lets his brothers get their hands on them. they also have a very good memory and like to tell stories about things theyve seen and done during the war, much to the delight of the 212ths padawan commander (another oc of mine) who ends up spending a lot more time with the prisma squadron after. certain events that i will not get into in this post.

dex also has a boyfriend named kazen and they love each other very much but their story is rather confusing and i dont really know where to begin with them

next up is flare, ct-4517, he/him. the sniper. he knows dex pretty well, and was the first of the squadron to meet them, albeit under some,, rather unfortunate circumstances. he got caught in an explosion in the field that left him with burns along the majority of the left side of his body. he likely wouldve been decommissioned, but both he and dex insisted that he was still able and willing to fight, so, after a good while in the medbay, he was allowed to rejoin his brothers in the field. understandably, after what he'd been through, he wasnt exactly eager to rush back to the front lines, so he took up a position as a sniper instead. it suits him well, hes a great shot, and it takes a great deal of stress off of dex, knowing hes not in any immediate danger of getting himself caught in another explosion.

he also has a very good sense of direction, being the expert on both navigation and stealth for the squadron. his sense of direction is close to uncanny - he rarely, if ever, needs to look at a map once hes been briefed on his mission objective. he seems to know almost exactly where he and his squad are at all times. his brothers dont really get how he does it, and he doesnt get what it is that they possibly dont get about it, but theyre grateful for it all the same. its gotten them out of some tough spots

next is astra, ct-4518, he/it. the tactician. hes flares batchmate and twin. hes a lot quieter than its brothers, close to non-verbal unless its in a situation where speech is absolutely required. flares gotten good at reading his body language and facial expressions, after having spent his entire life with the guy, and often serves as a sort of translator between it and their other brothers.

hes not antisocial in any right, though - hes quite warm and caring and his brothers are incredibly important to him, he just .. doesnt see why he has to talk to spend time with them. its incredibly physically affectionate, and it spends much of its time in the medbay with dex as they seem to understand how much he values spending quality time with them while they both work on their own respective things.

along with his naturally pleasant demeanor, astra is incredibly loyal and protective towards those he trusts. he finds it rather difficult to show it, but dex and flare and a few other select clones of the 212th have come to find that he loves giving gifts to them whenever possible (the clones dont get much personal property, so hes taken up hobbies like carving little wooden figurines for his brothers and painting intricate designs on their armor if they allow him to) and he has, more than once, gotten into actual fistfights to protect those he cares about. to most of his brothers, hes a bit of a curiosity - his brain works in mysterious ways but hes kind and agreeable enough overall.

he most certainly knows how to make himself useful, though - hes incredibly observant and quick-witted, and has managed to get his squad out of tough situations plenty of times. with the help of flare, translating its thoughts and ideas from short, concise sentences to something a little easier for their other brothers to understand, hes proved himself to be quite capable of thinking on his feet to create plans that will keep his brothers as safe as possible.

yes as you can tell he is probably the favorite child, im sorry i created him first and havent stopped thinking abt him ever since

last but not least is blitz, ct-4525, he/him. the explosives expert, or, rather, explosives enthusiast. theres not much actual expertise involved in his "blow up as much stuff as possible" mentality. hes astra and flares younger batchmate, the only other remaining member of their batch. lost his right arm below the elbow in an inident with explosives that he INSISTS were not his own, and was outfitted with a rather cheap prosthetic and sent right back out into the fight. luckily, with dexs medical expertise and flares tech smarts, theyve managed to keep it pretty well maintained.

blitz is most definitely the life of the squadron. where dex is kind but stern, flare is warm and comforting, and astra is quiet and reserved - blitz is uh. well hes. hes slightly batshit. (/pos /pos /very pos) hes the one who gets the others into the most trouble, but hes also the one who knows how best to lift their spirits with his stupid jokes and loud, unabashed confidence. hes the stupid youngest brother but none of the other three could imagine a life without him around.

he swears up and down that all four of them are going to make it through the war, if only to spite the republic that had them made to be little more than cannon fodder, and they do. they all do. maybe not under the best of circumstances, but they make it eventually.

i have an entire storyline involving the four of them (plus obi-wan, cody, and silas - the young padawan commander i mentioned earlier - among a few others) spanning the length of the war and their time after the fact, but i wont get into it here because this post is already long enough. i would also gladly talk about all four of them more because this in no way includes all the details i have about them but i should probably stop now
