last night while getting ready for bed i was paranoid af because i had stumbled upon a disturbing youtube short [i hate its algorithm and have been thoroughly reminded of this!] and not only did my shampoo bottle have the AUDACITY to randomly make a loud popping sound while i was brushing my teeth, but my lotion bottle also fell off the shelf and scared me again. i had to sleep with the lights on. it was rough

#and this paranoia is so impractical too. it’s not even “oh no what if someone breaks in” i’m just scared of the dark #and idk i don’t think that’s childish. the genre is called Horror after all #if i consume horror content because i enjoy it and then i’m scared later it’s not a biggie. i signed up for this and it was worth it #but when i stumble upon a horrifying “based on true events!” kind of short where they try to capitalize on someone’s real life trauma #that is. different. and also soooo disrespectful and cruel honestly. it makes me so mad #and because i know it actually happened to someone it makes the paranoia soooo much worse #even tho it’s something that realistically will never happen to me. just knowing it is possible makes my heart 📈📈💥‼️‼️#anywayyyy #vent #gear diary #ougfh. going to try and focus on the good now
