j-philly-b replied to your post “Also, let us talk about Wish Henry.  Let’s talk about how Emma raised...”
And don’t forget teenage og Henry who just graduated from SB High and was also still in SB when Regina had the idea to merge all the realms.
DON’T get me started on the timeline issues. It’s a complete and utter mess. Even if we say that OG Henry had beaned out by the time the merger came that would still leave us with two Reginas and two Robins and two Zelena/Kellys and two Hooks.
IF baby Hope has just been born and it’s been “years” since the All Realms Curse  tm then that means when Regina and Hook showed up to help Henry they had been hanging out with Rogers and Alice for years. Plus they would have known that Henry and Ella got together. No wonder nobody seemed to miss Henry that much. He literally never left them.
And then we have BABY NEAL. Who is like 7 in the throne room scene but when Alice and Margot showed up “Baby” Robin was 5. Which would have made Prince Benjamin Button like 6 so if it’s been “years” he should be 11 or something.

But here’s the unknown question-
Who is the big bad in the finale? Who or what do they need to defeat?
Granted I have low expectations for the villain quality on this show, but what is the threat?

@queen-mabs-revenge I’m not watching but I AM laughing at all the dicks who were all “Omg you guys A&E know how important CS is they would never ruin them! They have never let us down before! Blah blah” and like shaming people for recognizing they are, in fact, the fucking worst.

Honestly, just judging by the preview alone
That musical episode looks like it’s going to be complete and utter garbage galore from start to finish.
Which I’ve been saying all along.
I’m very serious about doing a private Skype chat next Sunday for anyone who wants to.  Offer open to anyone who wants to participate but it’ll be a PRIVATE chat by invitation only, and I will put a cap on attendance.  We can rip the FUCK out of the episode privately and not give any service to OUAT on social media that way.
If you are interested please PM me.

I'm sure that those people who will enjoy old Hook gifs they will enjoy the engagement gifs too. :))
You know, I don’t mind him being old, I’m just disappointed with this whole wish realm story. Should’ve done better. But I guess they know that because I would’ve expected that kind of adventure to another realm to be saved for the season finale.

I am still bitter about Henry never getting closure with Neal.
Forget Swanfire vs Captain Swan, I’m Team Henry actually getting closure with his dead dad.

Re: Adam’s tweet about scoring the premiere: that’s nice and all, but if you wanted me to actually look forward to that episode and watch it live, having an image of Regina of all people was NOT the way to go..

Wish world Robin is real.
Wish world Hook is real.
Wish world Hook’s wish world kid is apparently real.
But wish world Snow and wish world David weren’t real? And Regina didn’t murder them in cold blood? Good to know the Regina double standards carry on into the new season.

Very good point, and you perspective is valuable. Especially since we don’t know what Wish!Hook did with his hook after first deciding to take care of Alice. I think for many, it’s just the conflation of the two: the bad pun combined with the pink nub. But you’re 100% right: babies are danger seekers, and I can imagine Killian being paranoid.
FWIW, I agree that the ouat writers have been a hot mess when it comes to dealing with Killian’s disability, as several people on my dash have pointed out today. The “joke” about pun always intended in 7x22 fell so flat for me that I felt like I was failing to understand English properly in the moment. (Also I was distracted by the terrible doll.)
That being said, the baby-proofed hook didn’t bother me in the slightest, and here’s why: babies are flailing, danger-seeking creatures. It never occurred to me that it would signal Killian’s lack of competence with his hook, only that babies reach out and grab everything within reach. I wouldn’t use a knife near a baby, but not because I’m incompetent with knives. I once put a cup of tea way out of reach (I thought) of the baby in my lap, only to have the kid jump-lunge for it and promptly dump it all over himself. (Smash cut to the ER. He’s fine, no lasting harm done, but it sucked. And made me feel like a shitty mom.)
Like, we saw Wish Hook in the immediate aftermath of Alice’s “birth” holding her with his hook unprotected, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t take some steps later to keep her from grabbing it by the pointy end with her flaily baby hands. Personally, I headcanon that’s exactly what he did.

Like part of me wants to watch the episode for a final CS hurrah. But the other part of me doesn’t want to because I’m sure it’ll be ruined by the usual A&E fuckery and I just wanna live in a bubble.
I’ll prob just wait for gifs and you tube clips after I get the all clear that the episode is fuckery free.

The "capraesque" appeal of Storybrooke was a draw all on its own. I liked the simplicity of their setting.

One of the things that has been bugging me about the timeline is that many of the characters don’t really act their age. I can intellectually argue that Henry is in his mid-to-late thirties, but he doesn’t really give off that vibe to me. Same with Tilly. She doesn’t strike me as a woman who is my age or older, and based on how other characters interact with her, they don’t see her as older than 26 either. If anything, I would have guessed she was 23 at oldest. The same with Margot - her entire struggle with her mom seems more fitting to someone in her early twenties and not a woman in her late twenties. Or rather, I’d buy her running off to India after a fight with Mom more for a woman that’s 21-23 and not 26-28. Or, idk, maybe I just hang around overly mature adults.
I’m getting to when I can shrug with timelines, but less with personalities.
LOL on your comments on the timeline. With how messed up it’s been all season long I gave up on trying to figure it out months ago. I will definitely just shrug over it.
There is a piece of it that will make it make a little bit more sense but I don’t know how much they’re going to explain it.  Since they already actually talked about this in an interview that people may not being remembering…
Henry was 10 in 2011.  He will/did graduate high school in 2017.  Instead of going to college he left to find his story and spent some amount of time away we don’t know how much.  Let’s say 5-10 years. Enough to say that it’s the late 2020s when the events of 7.02 happen.  The HH curse is cast on Lucy’s 10th birthday.  So the events of 7.10 happened at least 11 years after that.  Sometime in the late 2030s.  So Henry is in his mid to late 30s.  Which fits Andrew’s age.
But the events of Hyperion Heights are modern day.  2017.  Because they didn’t want to play with future tech.  The Hyperion Heights curse cast in 7.10 sent them back in time to 2017.  The reason Regina says the people in Storybrooke can’t know they’re in Hyperion Heights is because Regina, Henry, Zelena are all still in Storybrooke in 2017 (Rumple and Belle left a few years before).
There are 2017 past versions of the Storybrooke characters as well as the Hyperion Heights versions.  This also applies to the wish realm.  The reason Wish Henry can be Jared is that he is the same age as 2017 Henry Mills that is just now deciding not to go to college.
When Bad Things Happen™–because plot has to happen–Alice and Robin go to Storybrooke for help.  But they’re going to 2017 Storybrooke.  That Regina/Henry/Zelena and company still live in.  And that Robin is still a pre-schooler.  That’s why the drwaves don’t recognize Robin even though she grew up there.
Expect that to be explained.  Do not expect the CS baby or anything in the last few scenes of the show to be explained beyond “Many Years Later”
Just shrug emoji and go with it.

I genuinely can't stand this fake as fuck "It's a show about hope and fairytales and happy endings!" bullshit party line the writers of this show constantly churn out. Fucking own your bullshit. The way the current season is setup the only character getting a "happy ending" is the original main villain. Everyone else is either gone/dead/alone.

I always find the faux social justice implications of fandom concerns absolutely ridiculous.
Like “Oh you’re worried your ship will be broken up and a new love interest inserted because A. the female part of the couple left the show B. The creators have a history of blowing up ships for pointless drama and fridging female characters and C. There is no indication the female part of the couple will return for more than one episode and it’s a question that will definitely be on the GA’s mind considering it’s a show about fairytales and true love?”
You must hate women in leading/regular roles.
Like what?
On the one hand, yeah they shouldn’t take their nervous nelly concern to someone else’s inbox (under any circumstance, like what is that person supposed to do?) but on the other hand the reply kind of puts that same erroneous conclusion of motivation on EVERYONE who thinks that’s a concern and maybe posted it to their own space, or kept it in their head and are just innocently scrolling through their dash.
Which is a running theme with fandom. You can’t separate the two. If a blogger feels that way about some nervous anonymous person who is worried they feel that way about the people who kept it to themselves and are just trying to look at gifs of Killian Jones.
If it was just one person saying that, fine, but yet again it seems to be the current fandom bandwagon to jump on while this new information comes in. All people who have a concern over something that happens on many TV shows when one half of a couple leaves are suddenly anti-women?
I, for one, still think it’s a strong possibility that could happen. Or that they’ll make Killian into a drunken caricature of himself. Actually, it’s the very reason why I’m choosing not to watch at all until I see where they are going with this bullshit “reboot” (see: We don’t feel like writing anything new or paying seasoned actors so we’re just redoing season 1 with a few changed details and hiring some people on the cheap so we can keep collecting ad revenue). Also why when I saw the news my first thought was “Oh which of you ladies is KJ True Love Number 3?”
Not because I dislike women. Or because I assume their only function is to serve as a love interest for the male lead, but because I know what fucking show I watched for 6 years and who is in charge of it. Because I watched them pointlessly have the EQ makeout with Rumple for no reason. Because Mary Margaret sleeping with Whale was a running joke but David being married and potentially impregnating Abigail wasn’t. Because Maid Marian turned into Zelena having Robin’s baby was a thing.
Just a regular day on Tumblr I guess? I dunno, I just needed to vent

I know it's too early to tell, but the trailer made me think that Rogers is gonna be the brooding, anti-social loner type. So, what's the point of giving Killian a new cursed identity if the only changes are that he's not married anymore and a cop now? -_-
*shrug* I didn’t watch it nor will I so I don’t really know what you’re talking about?
I’m not sure why anyone expected different though.
They literally copied dialogue from a previous season and changed pronouns and names for that Mad Hatter scene.
This is just Season 1 with slightly different locations basically.
The entire show was just a bad Fables ripoff and they just reused the same material over and over for years. Let’s not assume there will be any original content in the eleventh hour.
I can appreciate Colin’s beauty in gifs just as much. I might watch some You Tube videos one day but I’m really rather beyond the show at this point and it’s been lovely really.
