"They turned [Bellamy] into some sort of villain, which went against everything we had seen in his character development. The peak of this was his death—not the fact that he died, as I kind of imagined that could happen in the end, but the how and why of his death."

Despite some trolls saying differently, #Bellarke was the most important relationship in the show and nobody was kidding themselves. Sorry, not sorry.
I really thought you cared about Bellamy. I care about both of you. But you left him in the pits to die anyway. I had to! And he understands he…he forgave me. Did he? Then why isn’t he here in this memory? I’ll tell you why. It’s because you’re too afraid to face him. Because you know he thinks you’re a monster who will abandon anyone.

That mind wasn't exactly the most intelligent, despite Josie being 250+ years old... so it's not much of a damage. 😂😈
“…and now there’s no mind on the drive.”

...and jroth was selling us the same shit (almost) until the end of season 3? For fucks sake!! At least he changed the narrative in s4, but then returned the shit in s5! 💀🤬
Oh my god I’m laughing.
We’re always talking about how Bellamy and Clarke were enemies in the beginning of season 1, but from the the pilot episode to Day Trip, it’s literally only 15 days.
They only lasted about two weeks “hating” each other.
These idiots.
They didn’t even try.
And then like the next day after becoming allies/friends, they’re literally already flirting on Unity Day.
THEY DIDN’T EVEN TRY !!

Well, today we know they were canon and were written and played as romantic, at least from 1x08 to 6x13. Despite all the other relationships they were in in the meantime.
After all, they were the backbone and the main relationship of the show - that's what the showrunner himself said several times (before he went nuts during seasons 6 and 7).
Unnecessary Bellarke Moments - Season 4
Hey fam! So last hiatus (The Dark Times), I created a post to give our fandom a little bit of hope that basically pointed out every single Bellarke moment in the first three seasons of The 100 that served absolutely no plot purpose besides pushing the Bellarke Agenda™ (you can view it here). The idea of the post was basically just to point out the VAST number of Bellarke moments that simply would not exist if canon!Bellarke wasn’t actually in the cards for later seasons.
The idea was brought to me a little while ago (I don’t remember by who, unfortunately) to recreate that post, except this time pointing out all the unnecessary Bellarke moments of Season 4. So that’s basically what this post is.
If you’re interested in seeing just how Extra these two lovesick idiots truly are when it comes to each other and how full of shit the cast/Jason are when they say it was “never planned” feel free to continue under the cut.

Clexa doesn't belong on this list, because it was NEVER mishandled. They had their time and ended it as they did. Yes, the way Lexa was killed off was definitely disastrous, but it certainly wasn't mishandling. Just a bad writing. As for Lexa being Clarke’s soulmate, it was just another of jroth's craps for baiting clexas and pineapples once he lost all other fans and audience.
But, jroth never said Lexa was Clarke's soulmate. In the interview after the final episode he calls her "The love of Clarke's life", which is also total bullshit.
Like everyone forgot Lexa's betrayal in s2. Then she kidnapped and held Clarke locked up for a week until she agreed to bow to her in public as Wanheda to save her own ass in s3a. And then, they live together for two weeks. Doing nothing but watching each other with puppy eyes.
In the end, when Clarke must leave Polis, they have a goodbye fuck. And that's a relationship?! A love of someone's life?! They never said ILY to each other when Lexa was alive! She said Lexa ILY in the Flame in 3x16. Does it count? 😜
That's why I tell everyone who (still) wants to watch the show to end it with season 6. Because Season 7 is a completely different show. Am I not right?

Top 10 Mishandled Ships (Bellarke ; Bellamy and Clarke)
Given the way that JRoth ruins every single ship he touches, I really should have known better. I didn’t put Clexa on this list, but the way he handled that ship was also a disaster. But, somehow, I thought that Bellarke would be different. Bellamy and Clarke are endgame in the book series. The actors who play them are married in real life. The ship was built up beautifully over six seasons and then…season seven happened. Due to offscreen factors, Bellamy and Clarke couldn’t be in as much of the season. I still don’t know if JRoth sunk this ship out of spite to the actors, to the fans, or just for his own sick amusement. Having Clarke kill Bellamy over a book she doesn’t even bother to grab? After all they’d been through? The core theme of their relationship was forgiveness and this was where Clarke drew the line? Clarke also referred to Bellamy as her “best friend” multiple times in the final season, the characters barely mourned Bellamy’s death (including Bellamy’s sister and girlfriend), and Lexa was shown to be Clarke’s soulmate at the end. I spent the entire final few episodes sobbing out of anger at the injustice. They even added a stupid “everyone lives happily ever after except Bellamy” ending that just felt hollow. The entire final season was disappointing, confusing, and self-congratulatory. It honestly kind of ruined the entire show for me. What could have been one of the best slowburn romances of all time was carelessly destroyed due to a writer’s ego and I’ll never not be bitter about it.

Does this look like "just a friendly look" to anyone?
Or this?
Give me a break! We all see what it really is and know who fucked up the script, changed it at the last minute, and deleted kiss/confession/sex from 6x11.
when the source material has the two main characters in an emotionally healthy, well established and fleshed out romantic relationship but the adaption decides to say “fuck you” to the fans and just makes them friends instead
