An experiment...

Reblog if you’re a Golden Queen shipper who has NEVER gone into the tag for a pairing that you don’t like to grumble about how grossed out you are by it. I want proof that we, as a fandom, show respect and class, even when we’re sorely tempted not to.

Regarding OUAT 6 x 02

Normally I stay out of fandom discussions and what not because I prefer to keep my opinions to myself. However the SURGE of activity in the Golden Queen tag (both positive and negative) pretty much makes it impossible for me to not say something. 

As you might imagine given my blog name: I ship Golden Queen. I have SHIPPED Golden Queen since season one. I run the fuckyeahgoldenqueen tumblr. I have written fic, made vids, graphics, ect for this ship for *six* years. Six. And none of it has gotten much attention; mainly because tumblr is a tough place to promote yourself. ...also I write fluff and people are more interested in less fluffy things for the pairing which is perfectly fine. I have my own little corner. 

Anyway: imagine shipping a thing for six years and having to endure other ships in the meantime that you don’t particularly care for, but respect because that’s how shippers should be. Imagine going into the tag the night your beloved six year OTP has finally become canon and seeing the reactions. Imagine that for a second. 

To those that are into it: welcome aboard. 

To those that are NOT: make an anti golden queen tag. Please. I for one don’t want drama. I just want to ship my babies in peace and do my thing. Generally I’ve noticed that the response is positive but I want the negativity to go elsewhere. In the long-run, this season will likely be the only one we golden queen shippers will get to enjoy this. Don’t ruin that, is all I ask.
