Indeed it does! This is from a fic I will likely never post, but it features our beloved Fanboy and my OC for him, Mei.

Mei wiped her hands on her apron and turned to look at Sav. “I did,” she said finally, and moved around her colleague once again, this time to go into the back to help Aimee make another batch of blueberry muffins.

Had an excellent impromptu brainstorming session with @joaquinwhorres about this last night, and the sheer amount of pining we talked about is staggering and so cute.

So, whatever you do, don't think about shy smiles and him making her laugh while she's pouring drinks. Mickey waiting after her shift to drive her home so she gets there safely, even though they're "just friends." Him catching a patron, trying to be handsy and creepy to her at the end of her shift and jumping in as a "friend." Mickey being the first one she calls when she needs someone to talk to. When she's gone on yet another dating app date that ended horribly and she needs someone to comfort her because they're friends and you call your friends when a date goes wrong, even though it's breaking both their hearts when she does. Mickey hates that he's a little relieved when her dates are terrible.

Their friends referring to Mickey as her boyfriend even though they protest every time. They both get flustered and don't quite know how to act around each other immediately afterward. It kills Mickey to deny it because he's so hopelessly in love with her, and convinced she doesn't feel the same. But she does. Their friends try to get them to admit it, but with no luck.

Thinking about that Fanboy fic I'll likely never write tonight. How they're the epitome of the we're just friends trope, even though everyone knows they're head over heels in love with each other.

Annie, my love, thank you for asking! It's a summer vacation style AU where Mickey works as a lifeguard and my OC, Mei, is a waitress at a beachside restaurant and occasional barista at a local coffee shop. After meeting at a bonfire party the night before, Mickey decides to get coffee at a shop instead of making it himself. That he walks into Coffee Cove where Mei works is purely coincidental. Kind of. Not at all.

Mickey and Mei are the everyone knows you're into each other but won't say friends-to-lovers couple.

It's a shared universe/AU with my besties @joaquinwhorres and @veetlegeuse!
