Bo rolls his eyes as his hands grip her hips, shifting from the weight of her seated on his lap. Her palms slide over his chest and softly over his throat to the back of his neck.

"You're so full of shit." He sighs, tilting his head back as she leans over him.

Edie smiles as her lips ghost over his, her heart full of love. "You love me anyways."

Bo huffs like his previous statement was still true, but he smirks as he closes the gap and kisses her sweet. Of course, he couldn't deny that he did love her.

Edie grabs her headphones and walkman and lays down on the porch, hiding away from the sun but visible so that Bo knows she’s waiting for him.

“hold still. this might sting a little.”

bo glares sharply and takes a deep breath. despite edie’s gentle and delicate touch, it did nothing to stifle the flare of the cut on his cheek. she apologizes under her breath and he relaxes when she brushes her thumb over his cheek. 

the worry in her eyes and the way she nervously chews on her lower lip causes his heart to jump. he stills her shaking hand and forces her to look at him. “i’m fine, doll. you’re all worked up over nothing.” 

edie shakes her head slow as she searches his unnerved gaze. “i could have lost you. that's not worked up over nothing."

"but you didn't." he sighs quietly, sitting up and leaning forward. a quick kiss calms her more than it should and he can't stop the smile that takes over him. "and you never will."

edie smiles soft as she leans over the back of the couch, pressing her lips against bo’s forehead, catching him off guard. however, he only lets out a noise of fake disgust and reaches his hand up to grab her.

but she stops him as she takes his hand in hers. “oh? no yelling today?”

“too tired for that.” he grumbles, leaning his head back to stare up at her. a weak smile pulls the corners of his mouth and she sighs lovingly. “besides, you’re too pretty for that.”

edie pulls his hand closer and presses gentle kisses to his knuckles before holding his hand against her cheek. it wasn’t every day thag bo stared at her like she was the only one in the world, but when he did, boy did she swoon.

wait while i’m thinking about bo and edie i just love the idea of edie being so taken by him and he thinks its super gross (at least at first) but he becomes her whole world, her light, absolutely everything to her and he’s just like hmm okay but it grows on him and soon he’ll be just the same… (he just doesn’t realize it yet)

well... if they EVER had new neighbors, definitely edie. bo wouldn't even bother to think about meeting people and definitely would scold her for talking to anyone.

who remembers to buy healthy food

....edie? but not always just goes into the kitchen and takes a look and she'll decide maybe to add some fruits and vegetables to their diet. can't live off meat every day.

who remembers to buy junk food

bo. definitely bo because this man doesn't know how to fix a proper meal and he loves having something he can just grab and go. not that he doesn't know how to cook, but sometimes his food is... boring.

who fixes the oven when it breaks

oh bo. he had to learn how to take care of his brothers all these years, so he will fix it. but he does teach edie how to do it in case he isn't around or is busy with "work" that he can't rush back to fix it.

who waters the plants/feeds their pet(s)

edie!!!! she usually has so much time on her hands and she actually doesn't mind watering the plants or taking care of the dog. it gives her something to do and some times she'll be found just sitting in front of her plants, talking to them.

who wakes up earlier

edie has her own eternal alarm clock in her head and once the sun comes up she's awake and headed downstairs - or occasionally still laying in bed with bo, tracing shapes across his skin or kissing the scars on his wrists. but, she likes to keep busy and will be running through the house to make sure the other boys are taken care of.

who makes the bed

surprisingly, bo! you'd think he would never, but since he's the last to wake up, he mostly just tosses the blankets around so it looks a little neater, but it gets the job done.

who makes the coffee

edie if it's an early morning for bo, but usually bo since edie doesn't care too much for coffee. she'll drink it once and a while.

who burns breakfast

bo... he leaves it too long and it will burn (usually he's still trying to wake up and is out of it) and so that's why edie has taken over breakfast duties for now on. besides, vincent and lester agree that bo is no longer allowed to make breakfast.

how do they let each other know they’re leaving the house

bo: sometimes he doesn't bother to tell her that he's leaving, but she knows by the way he lets the door slam shut. however, there will be times he'll just say "wait up for me, sweetheart", and she will.

edie: leaves a note if she isn't leaving when he is or if he's already gone and she isn't sure if he'll be back before her and if he's home when she leaves, she will grab his hand and kiss the back of it before she goes.

how do they greet each other when one of them gets home

bo: he'll kiss her on her forehead and hold her for a moment.

edie: she'll kiss him on the cheek and

who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolates more often

neither of them. neither really care too much about giving gifts, that not being either of their love languages or just something they like to do.

who picks the movie for movie night

bo does all the time. only because edie doesn't know many movies since she didn't really watch them growing up so she gives bo full control over picking the movie to watch. since it isn't easy for them to just watch all kinds of movies and neither have an interest in watching newer movies, they'll rewatch some several times.

their favorite kind of movie to watch

horror! but like, campy slasher films and that's about it. maybe some like, true crime documentaries or even very old movies the bo maybe have lying around from his parents collection.

who first suggests a pillow fort

if they did.... edie. maybe she saw it in a movie or remembered her old dead friends had mentioned it at some point, so she wants to try it with bo.

who builds the pillow fort

bo - since edie's never done it and i firmly believe that bo has done it at least ONCE for either of his brothers. does it hold up very well? probably not but when it falls apart they'll just find an excuse to use those pillows another way.

who tries to distract the other during the move

movie?? both. they can either be really invested or they can't pay attention at all and the movie becomes more of background noise than anything.

who falls asleep first

bo always does. he spends most of his days keeping ambrose up and running and keeping outsiders away, so by time the day ends, he's exhausted and falls asleep after getting too comfortable on the couch or in bed.

who is big spoon/little spoon

switch - but usually bo is the big spoon and edie is the little spoon however they will switch is up. bo loves to feel edie against his back and her arms around him.

🖊 - Edie was raised by her mother, well loved and taken care of as well as any mentally ill single mother can do. As her mother’s health started to deteriorate, Edie had to use what she had learned to care for the only member of her family by hunting and maintaining a balance she was familiar with. Eventually her mother passed and she was found a few months later at the age of 14 and sent into the system of many foster homes.

🖊 - Edie’s numb to the idea of Bo and Vincent keeping trespassers away from Ambrose. You get used to anything if you’re around it enough. Edie’s been around death more than a normal person should. On many occasions she witnessed her mother threatening people away from their house with a shotgun. She’s seen her mother keep her word on some of those threats for a few of those people. In her mind, it wasn’t that much different.

🖊 - Polite when she arrives in Ambrose, befriending Lester almost immediately despite her friends negativity towards the stranger. And the moment she lays her eyes on Bo, her whole world came crashing down. It was like he saw something in her- they were the same- and for that she felt like someone truly understood her.

🖊 - She’s afraid of the dark- more specifically in small spaces- hates being blind and unaware of her surroundings. Bo hates that she needs some sort of light source while she sleeps, but he allows it if it stops her panicking in the middle of the night. He’s woken up to her having a full breakdown beside him and having to calm her down.

🖊 - Edie is very protective over the brothers, even though she is aware they are capable of taking care of themselves- but especially towards Vincent. Bo constantly comments on her motherly affections of the man and she knows it annoys him greatly, but shes fond of him and his art. Makes it up to Bo by paying special attention to him.

edie’s the type to have the “entire wardrobe is her boyfriend’s clothes- they’re stained and dirty but they smell like him” and i love that for her

okay but bo teaching edie how to shoot a gun even tho her mother taught her as a child when they went hunting together, but she pretends she doesn’t know just so he can wrap his arms around her and be close to her (and he knows she knows but he likes playing along)

“you suck at this” edie laughs.

bo is sarcastic when he responds “and you’re a natural. i wonder why”

bo and edie arguing but its mostly just bo getting mad about something and edie just watching him silently (maybe rolling her eyes occasionally) and he thinks he’s got her, but she just sighs and says something to start it all back up like “but that’s not right” or “you’re wrong”

she might be doing it on purpose- watching bo get into a heated argument- unfortunately for him its with himself - really does make her feel a certain way that shes fond of.

oh also bo teaches her how to fix cars, at least what he knows how to do, and how to completely immobilize them, in case the situation ever arises. they’ll spend hours in the shop, going over all the tools and parts and what they are used for. bo gets frustrated with edie a few times, but hes patient as she learns.

she hates the feel of grease on her hands, so she despises the work at first, but the longer she spends with bo distracting her with instructions, whispering in her ear with his hands guiding her, she forgets the grease under her fingernails and staining her clothes.
