A new character joins the story! It’s essential that an idol needs a manager, and that’s where Tanaka comes in. Despite his appearance, he’s actually from Kirakiland and was once Purirun’s neighbor named Tanakhan. If he’s able to manifest a human form on Earth, does that mean Purirun will be able to as well? I honestly dread the day Purirun turns into human because that means she will cause more chaos.

To be honest, I do like Tanaka a lot! I assumed he’d be super strict and prevent the Idol Precures from wanting to take up a job offer, but he was cool with it and the experience did help him see that the Idol Precures’ job isn’t just to stop Makkurandas, but it’s also see how the Precures radiate when doing their duties, whether it be to stop Makkurandas or help people who need their help. I also think having him as a waiter for Cafe Glitter will be a good way to have him be around.

Also, the fact that the Precures are transforming for more trivial reasons and not just the usual transformation intrigues me. I think this might be one of the cases where the the formula is broken now? The last time I saw Precures use their power for random tasks was back in Hirogaru Sky Precure where Sky and Prism were trying to take a lady to the airport to meet her family.

Kaito also appears in this episode as he and Uta have some nice moments, but it does get interrupted when Kyutaro sees another dog passing by. Judging from his words at the end, it feels as if Kaito is aware of them being Idol Precures, but that’s just me theorizing.

Is it just me or is the animation a little wonky in this episode? Some shots have the girls have lines for their eyes and some have their faces look a little uneven. Maybe it’s just me…?

Tanaka is voiced by Junichi Suwabe. He’s famous for his distinct baritone, but he uses a more softer voice akin to how he voices his more softer, handsome characters like Viktor from Yuri on Ice or even Eliot Moriarty from Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deductions. I’m sort of curious if he’ll use the same tone once he turns into a fairy…

Also, I’m surprised that Koharu or anyone in the Pretty Holic staff isn’t questioning why middle schoolers are working as managers in training. Are fourteen-year-olds even allowed to work part-time in Japan? If they aren’t, Tanaka is gonna look even more dead when answering possible serious questions on child labor law violations… Serious stuff aside, Kokoro appears towards the end. Since the preview will focus on her, I am curious about her. The episode title doesn’t seem to indicate she’ll transform, but who knows? What are your thoughts on this episode?

Orochimaru wants to know what the hell Minato was thinking setting up the exam to be like this, but after his little stunt in his office, he figures he shouldn’t push his luck.

Still. He’s a kage, and now he’s got to hang around for weeks while the kids train or do whatever? At least he has people to visit here, what did he expect the other kages to do?

Whatever. Oto is much more efficient. Maybe next exam he’ll actually invite Minato so he can see how a proper one is run.

“What’s got you in such a mood?”

He glances up at Sarutobi, the old man biting the end of his pipe as he looks over their go board. “What makes you think I’m in a mood?”

“You usually would have won by now,” he says, eyes crinkling at the corners.

He glances down at the board and huffs. “Maybe I just want to extend our time together.”

“Yes, I’m so busy in my retirement, no time at all for you anymore,” he continues. He’s gotten bitchy in his retirement, actually. “I’m glad to see you back here. All three of you. But you didn’t need to.”

“It’s fine.” Sarutobi probably knows full well that he has spies in Konoha, besides Anko who hardly counts, but there’s no need to risk Kabuto by mentioning it.

He sighs and moves another piece. “You scheming never ends well.”

That is simply not true. “I founded a village.”

“I meant for me,” he says, grinning around his pipe.

That, Orochimaru concedes, is true.

Tsume looks over her students, already resigned.

Minato had torn her head off after the matches were announced. Really, if he was going to be like this, he never should have allowed his daughter to become a ninja in the first place. Not that it would have stopped her, probably, but it at least would have spared Tsume the headache.

“All right,” she sighs. “Sakura, I’m going to ruin your life for the next couple weeks and completely ignore the others. I assume that’s fine?”

Naruto places the back of her hand to her forehead. “Oh, Sensei, how could you abandon us so? Leaving me and poor Sasuke all on our lonesome.”

Sasuke isn’t even a thought to her. She’s sure he and Neji have already met up to choreograph a fight that puts all their best skills on display, although she assumes they’ll freestyle the end to determine the winner since she can’t see either of them conceding. Unless Naruto sticks her nose in.

Speaking of.

“You have a plan, right?” she says to her. “Please tell me you have a plan.”

She could train her too, but not effectively, not how she needs to be trained. Because Tsume knows damn well that Naruto has abilities and skills that she keep to herself, and she hadn’t needed seeing her perform her father’s Flash to figure that out.

“I have a plan,” she says confidently.

Sakura winces and Sasuke rubs the bridge of his nose.

Great.

You And Idol Precure Episode 1 Review - Your New Idol Bias Is Here

Yes, I know I’m late into reviewing this, but better late than never, right? Anyways, my first impressions of You And Idol Precure is that it’s surprisingly fast-paced. One minute into the story, the protagonist meets the mascot and after shenanigans, she becomes an Idol Precure!

The story is basically about Uta Sakura who finds a washed up peach in the river when walking her dog Kyutaro one day and out of curiosity, she picks it up and a fairy called Purirun comes out of it. Purirun is looking for a person called an Idol Precure in order to help her save her homeland, Kirakiland, from the bad guys.

I do admit that this is the funniest premiere I’ve seen so far in a Precure show. It’s super goofy. First, you have Uta finding a peach washed up in the river equivalent to how the tale of Momotaro is like, but instead of Momotaro, she finds Purirun. Uta initially is freaked out over Purirun’s appearance, but she is soon wrapped around her fingers as Purirun is adorable and a giant menace to her wallet. Then, when she finds a guy named Precure, they go off in the peach and the story ‘ends’, but then the same cycle of the peach being in the river shows up again the next day. Like, whoever the writer is knows how to be comedic.

For the characters, Uta is a fun lead. While she likes singing, she has a lot of humility. She just does it for fun and not necessarily to make it a profession, though that could change later on. She likes how singing makes the people around her happy, hence why she mainly does it for the people at her family’s cafe.  Her family seems to be chill people as well. She has parents, a younger sister and a dog named Kyutaro. However, the biggest menace is Purirun who feels like a scammer to me. She just goes around making Uta buy stuff for her and then dips when she finds Precure (who’s actually Kurikyuta) and when she comes back, it feels like everything was for naught until Uta becomes the Precure. Though, I do like that Purirun is not a menace intentionally as she feels like a handful because she’s so laidback.

The villains are actually interesting! Man, I missed having villains at the very beginning of the story. I’m so glad they brought recurring villains back. I think Precure does a superb job with goofy yet menacing villains, so I can’t wait to see what these guys have in store.

I really like the transformation scene! It’s fast, but has a lot going on in contrast to Cure Wonderful’s. I love the top to bottom transformation sequence where she goes from hair to dress to boots and accessories. I haven’t seen that pattern in Delicious Party Precure and it should be a thing. I don’t know if transformation patterns are a thing in the magical girl fandom, but my favorites are hair-dress-shoes-accessories and dress-shoes-hair-accessories. If you have a favorite pattern, let me know!

I do like that Cure Idol struggles with her newfound powers at first but gets adjusted to it. I do like that singing is a part of her finisher and it’s a completed version of the rhythm she’s been singing since the beginning of the episode.

The voice acting cast is pretty good. Uta is voiced by Misato Matsuoka, who voiced Kirarin Rabbit in Wonderful Precure. I’m also familiar with her role as Uta Kirishima from The Yuzuki Family’s Four Sons. She actually improved a lot since then, so I’m impressed! Purirun is voiced by Yoshino Nanjo of Love Live fame—though, I’m not too familiar with the franchise. The most surprising casting is the famous Kenjiro Tsuda as…the dog, Kyutaro. Yes, TSUDAKEN VOICES THE DOG—his best role yet. Precure sure loves making animals be voiced by famous male voice actors—we had Yuichi Nakamura as Daifuku and now Kenjiro Tsuda as Kyu-chan. Who’s next?

But yeah, I think this will be a funny show and I’m all for it. I like comedic stories and I can’t wait to see how idols tie into this. The next episode will air tomorrow night where I live, so I hope to get a review out next week. Once again, sorry that it’s late! Let me know your thoughts on the premiere of You and Idol Precure!

Only the decals are base game compatible, found with the rest of the naruto wall decals. The light and curtains require SE pack. The curtains ALSO require this @channel4sims mesh (called curtain 1), which you can also find in requirements section. I needed at least five squares to spell 4 "Ramen" katakanas and the Ichiraku kanji, so I used their addon 6 square curtain, for the last square i just put different ramen pictures.

Get plain coloured curtains with no symbols in the Addon section. I don't remember the price but I left it the same as the snowy escape ones.😅💜There is a large four square and a small two square curtain of everything.

The decals include the ramen ones to match the Ichiraku set. The Uchiha decals are in their own separate package from all others, included bright, muted, worn/dirty swatches. All resizable, only minor issue is if they are thin black lines or sized down too much then when you zoom out they disappear a bit. They cost 0 simoleons and can be found in wall deco category. 🍥FILES INFO: Uchiha curtain symbols are with uzumaki clan symbols in separate package not in the misc or clan ones, the curtains had too many swatches so I divided them up; Otsutsuki also separate package; the names of the files are self explanatory if you wish to pick and choose, if you want the entire collection there is a merged file with everything, don't forget the mesh, don't install merged with anything else or you'll get duplicates) 🍥REQUIREMENTS ❗❗❗ Decals require nothing. All Noren Curtains require Snowy Escape. Ichiraku Set also requires SE, but apart from that requires this MESH by @channel4sims-cc (I mentioned above but forgot here, it is in the set called curtain 1)

🍥ABOUT THE SYMBOLS/DESIGNS: I included: misc symbols (Akatsuki, Gaara's love tattoo, ANBU, orochimaru curse mark with and without seal, Naruto's bijuu seal, all main konoha clan symbols (Sarutobi, Senju, Nara, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Aburame, Hyuuga, Inuzuka, Haruno, Uzumaki, Uchiha), Land of Fire symbol, the main hidden villages (Konoha/Leaf, Kumo/Cloud, Kiri/Mist, Oto/Sound, Suna/Sand, Ame/Rain, Iwa/Stone), Otsutsuki and 6 paths symbols. In cases where there was more than one online or I wasn't sure which was the main symbol I just made various different ones, sorry if I got anything wrong, all images were found online. I tried to use colours that matched the colour schemes used in the anime for characters clans and villages. (Also didn't mention but the curtains further to the top are only brighter because of the lighting, they are all the same though, sorry I suck at the photos)
