On the left, we have Moon Called by Patricia Briggs, first book in the Mercy Thompson series. The full moon on this cover is behind fog, though. But, since the "moon called," I give you a second view of it! 😄😍❤ . . . . To the right, on Shadow Rising by Yasmine Galenorn, book 12 in the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series, the full moon is clear! It's shown in front of the clouds, just behind a few buildings. Incidentally, this cover is arguably my most #FavoriteCover! I could have sworn I shared this photo already. Oops! Today's October 17th task for #bookscoasttocoastoct was to share my #FavoriteWitchOrWizard. 🤔 . . . . I did not have to think very hard to realize who my favorite is. The top "row" has my most favorite and my second most favorite! I have the most love for Baba Yaga, that fearsome witch from Russian folklore, and she is introduced as a supporting character in Magic Slays (Kate Daniels book five) by Ilona Andrews! 😍❤😍 . . . . Sadly, I don't think I - yet - own any books that feature Baba Yaga as a protagonist. 😕😭 . . . . My second favorite witch is arguably Rachel Morgan from the Hollows series by Kim Harrison, represented here by book one: Dead Witch Walking. I am VERY excited to reread the first few books in this series and finally finish it in November! 😄😍❤😍 . . . . The second "row" shares two wizards and two more witches: First, Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher (book one: Storm Front), closely followed in my affections by Remus Lupin, my favorite wizard in the Harry Potter series J.K. Rowling! Then there's Hermione Granger, who is actually a close second to Minerva McGonagall in my affections for first place witch from Harry Potter (but I don't yet have a McGonagall Funko Pop! 😭), closely followed by Camille D'Artigo from the Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon series by Yasmine Galenorn (and who we meet in book one: Witchling). 😍❤😍 . . . . There are other witches and wizards on my shelves, but the ones in the photo are my most favorites.
