Some Favourite Selfships!!! (Part 1/2)

I do a lot of reblog games, but I wanted to strike out on my own and pay homage to some of my favourite couples in the selfship community! Some of these are a bit vintage and folks have moved on to new F/Os, but these ones are in my heart and I hope you'll still appreciate the art <3

There are really too many amazing selfships to count, but these are some of the ones that make me very very happy when they show up on my dash! Thank you all for sharing your love with the community, I think y'all are so so cool.

9. who is the sweetest cinnamon roll? aww the sweetiest are few and far between when it comes to my f/os but here goes another award to Dru Gru 😂 he's such a treasure!! the way he reacts to meeting Gru, Lucy and the girls for the first time makes my heart so happy!! i'm gonna pop Data and Megamind here too…Data's an absolute darling of a person and i'm so weak for non-human characters who have this undying interest and/or 'affection' towards humanity. Megamind straddles the boundary here, being a delightful villain and a total angel at the same time. i do get soft for some of the sweeties…😖 10. who is the evillest sinnamon roll? hahaha holy shit this is impossible!! if we're talking sincere evil, i think the top competitors need to be King Candy, Alastor, Chester V, Freddy Krueger, and Dr Rowan North. the lengths King Candy went to just to stroke his own ego are absolutely evil, Alastor is the posterboy for unethical, taboo, horrifying behaviour, Chester V was absolutely prepared to turn to cannibalism in order to sell better Food Bars, Freddy is literally a dream demon who kills you in the most brutal of ways, and Rowan brought about a whole fucking apocalypse and was fully intent on wiping out the human race. oh, i do love their power 🥺💖

WITH THAT SAID if we're talking camp evil??? the kind i adore?? Augustus St. Cloud, Balthazar Bratt, Dave the Octopus, Baldi, Doc Ock, Dr Loboto, Dr Blowhole…i literally don't have enough space for all of them, i just LOVE 'Evil' with a capital 'E' characters 😂💖 must've been that violent crush on Jack Spicer i had as a kid... 17. who works hard? ooh, this is a curious question!! i think a lot of the characters i like fall on either side of a spectrum, and on one side it's 'works incredibly hard' and the other end is 'doesn't work at all'. all of the scientists and villains are usually terribly overworked geniuses who hate the world because no one can appreciate their hard work…

…but you know who works hard? IZZY FUCKIN' HANDS works hard!!! that poor man has given up his whole life for Blackbeard and has suddenly been thrust into a life of absolute absurdity with the love of his life seduced by a man who is everything he despises about other people and himself. i think Izzy deserves a long vacation…forced upon him by the whole crew of the Revenge 😖💖

thank you so much anon!! these are some great choices :3c [ask game] 7. who's 100% not your type but you love them anyways? ooh this one is fun!! now i think i'm pretty predictable with my f/os and even though my type has shifted somewhat overtime, lots of people message me with 'hey Star, you seem like the kind of person to like this character…' so i'm gonna give you one who isn't on my list!! i was super into Joseph Joestar back during the early part of the pandemic when my partner and i were watching JoJo 😳;;;; it's a shock because i'm really not into muscle-bound characters at all! but his cocky attitude and eclectic behaviour really endeared him to me...he's gorgeous, incredibly smart and also a complete moron. there's also this fabulous little edit of JJBA by Kamideres over on YouTube that i was super fixated on...give it a watch even if you aren't in the fandom, you won't regret it :3c 13. who is the purest of heart but dumbest of ass? bruh, so many fit this category;;; i'm gonna give this one to Austin Powers and Dru Gru!! i fall for so many evil, cynical, or otherwise bastard-ish characters that these two really stick out as being close to the himbo category 😖 yes, technically Dru is a villain and Austin does some extremely unethical things, but they're both total darlings and don't seem capable of being sincerely malicious in the way my other f/os are. honourary mention to Sunnydrop too 🥰 17. who pours the milk BEFORE the cereal? every single one of them 😂 if a character catches my eye, assume this is their default way of consuming cereal. though as a special mention, i believe Comfortable Doug pours the milk and the cereal into his mouth together and eats it that way 😭😭
