The Ancient Greek aphorism "know thyself" is one of the Delphic maxims and was inscribed in the pronaos (forecourt) of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi according to the Greek writer Pausanias The phrase was later expounded upon by the philosopher Socrates. Know thyself means just that - don’t hide from who and what you are, don’t lie - stand in your truth and power - walk your talk and own your weaknesses and your strengths. Take responsibility for your actions, know your worth, your value but also your limitations. Don’t try to pretend to be more than you are but at the same time don’t diminish yourself in order to fit in with others. #6955 Silo x Albion 70 Shilling (Canada) Funnily enough, on the last episode of The Chin Wag we were talking about getting into Scotch Ales, and this right here, folks, is exactly that. A collab between Silo and Albion, this is a 3.5% Scottish Ale that’s considered a 70 Shilling (as opposed to 60 and 80 Shilling beers). It pours a clear caramel colour with a fomy head and a bready nose, the body is light and crisp with some grassy bitterness and toffee notes, it’s super smooth and sessionable af with tons of flavour, wrapping in a slightly creamy, dry finish.
