I Created Part of a Fake Game OST
More specifically, I submitted an EP for the OST Composing Jam! It consists of seven tracks for the fake Ghibli-inspired JRPG "Nagisa: Princess of the Sea". Would really appreciate if ya'll checked it out and maybe give it a rating on itch.io!

🕸️ Happy Spooky Month! 🎃
I participated in Godot Wild Jam #74, where the theme was Haunted. My team made a point-and-click horror game where you play as a murderous ragdoll searching a house for hiding humans to kill. Play it in browser here!
I composed two tracks for it, which you can also listen to here on Bandcamp!
Thanks so much for listening, it really means a lot. :)

I was listening to one of you mashup songs (I have NO idea which one, but it had Space Jam in it. That wasn't the song, obviously) and thought "yknow what would work really well here? Back 2 Back from Sonic Rush samples." So my question is: have you used/thought about using samples from that game/other games Hideki Naganuma has composed for? I know his songs sample a whole lot in and of themselves, but I think some of them (esp Back 2 Back) could work really well in your stuff. Just a thought, though.
I have EXCELLENT news for you. I have an entire album based off the Sonic Rush OST called “Sonic Headrush”

Riff Rebel and Starface
Tumblr media
so all my pals know that i’ve made a little album titled “Riff Rebel” for a game jam. the Ost Composer Jam #7, hosted by Lone Rabbit, to be exact. This was my first ever album and even though i didn’t win the jam by a long shot, but people liked it and found it very creative. that is just enough for me, and i really did like this project. in fact, i am working to make a remastered album with some new songs mixed in. who knows what i’ll do next time, on Lone Rabbit’s next Composer Jam?

On May 21, 1998, the first soundtrack (ost) for the popular anime series "Cowboy Bebop" was released. One of the standouts of the series was the jazz inspired music. The show would kick off with these words, "I think it's time we blow this scene. Get everybody and the stuff together. Okay, three, two, one let's jam," and then launch into the driving theme "Tank!" The theme was even used by the figure skater Kevin Reynolds, dressed as the show's lead Spike Spiegel, in one of his short programs. Most of the music was performed by composer Yoko Kanno's band "Seatbelts" that she put together for the show. The first album contained the tracks "Tank! (opening theme)", "Rush", "Spokey Dokey", "Bad Dog No Biscuits", "Cat Blues", "Cosmos", "Space Lion", "Waltz for Zizi", "Piano Black", "Pot City", "Too Good Too Bad", "Car24", "The Egg and I", "Felt Tip Pen", "Rain (lyrics by Tim Jensen and performed by Steve Conte)", "Digging My Potato", and "Memory - music box". ("Cowboy Bebop OST", Music, Event)

Bands/musicians I'm really into lately
for fun and because another Bandcamp Friday is coming up on October 4th
The Crane Wives
Their new album? Beyond Beyond Beyond? SO fucking good. I put my favorite song off the album in my pinned post because I want everyone to listen to it, but every song on this thing ranges from "pretty good" to "oh fuck I want this in my ears forever". I listened to it at work today and it was hard to not jam out to a socially unacceptable level.
Wojciech Golczewski
Composes music for films and also sort of soundtrack-y original electronic music! Favorite albums: this concept album, kind of a soundtrack for a movie that doesn't exist, called Reality Check (LISTEN TO "Find Me" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE); the OST for a horror movie, Beyond The Gates; and this sort of weird ambient album, Inert - not sure if it's meant to be a concept album or what, but it's good.
John Congleton
In his capacity as the front man of John Congleton and the Nighty Nite and The pAper chAse. "If Nobody Moves Nobody Will Get Hurt (The Extinction)" is among the greatest songs ever. Bass boost that shit and crank it up and listen for all the weird layers of noise. It's fantastic. Sometimes I fantasize about time traveling to attend a pAper chAse concert. (...do I have to type it like that every time? well, it's not like it comes up often.)
Sleater-Kinney
Little Rope slapped. Listen to "Untidy Creature".
Sister Species
I liked their new album, but Light Exchanges is still my favorite of their work. Like half the songs on that thing can make me tear up if I listen to them too hard. Trumpet harmonies!!! (...okay. yes. you can and maybe should skip the TPT PRTY tracks. but if you listen to them with a calm spirit you can get into them. I swear.)
Bonus: I don't know much about Peter Gundry but this album came up on shuffle and it's pretty good! And the track titled "Tonight Ve Dance" makes me laugh every time I see it.

I've uploaded the OST to Bandcamp!
Tumblr media
I participated in Godot Wild Jam #65! The theme was: 💥 Overload 💥
My team created Hackjob, a game where you work at a cybersecurity company being attacked by clowns hackers. Answer as many emails as possible to keep your decrepit computer from overloading, and don't be fooled by spam!
I created the music and SFX for the game. Feedback is welcome & appreciated :) Play Hackjob for free here!
And try out some of the other games submitted to the jam as well. There are 157 entries and everybody worked really hard on their week-long projects. ❤️
