Sam’s scent is tinged with sulfur now but that hasn’t stopped it from driving Dean crazy every time he catches a whiff of it. In fact Dean seems to not have come to terms that Sam can eviscerate demons with his brain now and keeps mother henning over Sam, something that gets so much worse during his rut. He’s stuck by Sam’s side scenting him and growling at every demon that comes their way so Sam can’t work, can’t see any of his subjects, can’t do anything but let Dean nuzzle him which turns into sex, which turns into cuddling which turns back into sex.

Dean, of course, denies any of this happening once he’s out of rut. He’s scary enough that the demons don’t bring it up around him ever. Sam would tease him about it if he weren’t the same himself when he’s in heat— though he’s more aggressive about it, more often than not dragging Dean to the nearest surface and riding him to completion when he doesn’t have the patience to ask nicely.

They’re both kinda fucked up, but oh well.
