This time we got Izala and her friends Azvel and @unicornia93 's Kenar. The vibe of this gang is... Chaotic to say the least 🤣 Azvel was asked what he finds most charming about his boyfriend Kenar, and Izala was asked how life with them and her own boyfriend is like! I guess the comic speaks for itself 🤣🤭

🌠Forever After🍀

As the sun shone through the window Izala woke without Orrin next to her. Getting up and out of the bedroom to their little kitchen, she notice a forgotten cup of coffee, and the lack of paper, ink and quill on his desk. Heading outside into the warm rays of sun she find him, engrossed in his work. She quietly sits down, looking at the artwork he is producing, and she smiles, her hand coming to rest in his as they enjoy the quiet, and the warm sun of Iselki's islands.

I've wanted to finish this sketch for so long! It's based on a artwork called "The painters Honeymoon" by Sir Frederic Leighton.

Reunited

My latest piece featuring Orrin and Izala. Inspired by a statue "Eclosiòn" by Miquel Blay. I love finding classic art to redraw as OC's, and this one just fit the scene so well.

Orrin and Izala adventure together, but at some point things went horribly wrong. And this is the end of that arc depicted.

Based on a old RP @vesprynna and I wrote featuring these two going to a Halloween party!

When your friend gets absolutely obsessed with a dress she imagines your OC in... and you both decide to collab a comic to bring the obsession to life :D

So @unicornia93 had this lovely idea of our OCs Izala and Orrin meeting at a ball, where my gal Izala is wearing the most gorgeous midnight sky inspired dress which Uni only caught a glimpse of on Twitter... Orrin is of course speechless when he sees Izala and they share a moment that doesn’t need any words to convey how they feel <3

This is practice on how to collab a comic for a project with these characters we hope to start realizing this year. There’s a cameo of the other two protagonists in this page as well, and I will be posting art of those two very soon! The story for Orrin and Izala (as well as many other OCs that will appear in the story) has been in the works since 2016 and we feel ready to start sharing it with the world now!

The Shape of Water

Today is my pARTner in crime's birthday! And I drew her a piece based on the movie poster for "Shape of Water". The movie influenced how her character Izala turned out and if you haven't watched it you should! It's gorgeous ❤️

This is my OC Orrin in his merfolk shape, his water shape if you will! Abd ofc he is courting Izala among the colourful reef surrounding the Iselkan isles 😌

Well, from one thing to another, here’s my OC Izala with her shapeshifting husband Orrin, who belongs to @unicornia93 :)

Originally Orrin was supposed to be paired with princess Nyniv, the mermaid in the artwork in my previous post, but Uni and I wasn’t entirely sure how to go about starting their story. So, to get a feel for writing together, I made Izala... and suddenly Orrin/Izala was cannon and not Nyniv/Orrin x’D

Izala is a mute girl worshipped as the scion of the ocean god Olous. Born with the terrible destructive powers of lightning, as well as the ability to heal and ease pain, Izala was quickly revered by the Priesthood. Things go wrong, as they often do, and Izala finds herself on the run from her mistakes, and the law.

On the way she meets the dashing and charming Orrin, a man who can take on different shapes of humanoids and animals alike. Like Izala, he’s also on the run from the law. The two team up begrudingly as Izala finds Orrin both irritating and arrogant at first, but as these stories always goes... love blooms eventually as she realizes there’s more to Orrin than she first thought. c:

Had a sketch laying around as usual so I decided to finish it! My shapeshifting OC Orrin with his girlfriend Izala. This is the first time he use his orc form and it scares her. Orcs in our universe are very diverse, but many clans roam the forests and they aren’t friendly. Orrin is very distraught about this and does his best to prove that he is still himself. One of these moments is giving Izala shelter. The tent isn’t big enough for him, but on the bright side he doesn’t need additional supports. After all... he is still Orrin, no matter what he looks like. And Izala comes to trust him even more.

The Tempest, the Healer... Scion of Olous, Wrath of the Ocean.

This is a long overdue redesign of my girl Izala! Iza at 18 vs Iza in her early 20s. Her first designs appeared in 2018 and I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from the old variants but her now fully established story informed a lot of the new design elements. I feel like I better captured her journey as a person in the new variants, and the storytelling through her outfit and accessories is much better too.

Izala is a mute girl who was sold into a religious cult by her parents when she was just a child after they discovered she had tremendous healing powers. She also harbors great lightning magic, something she isn’t able to control very well. Revered as the Scion of the ocean god Olous and locked away in a great tower, the Priesthood raise Izala to be judge, jury and executioner of people the Priesthood consider sinful or unworthy.

After acting against their will and causing a magical accident that killed countless, Izala flees the small ocean-side village and the tower she’s lived in all her life. Ill prepared to handle the outside world and its many dangers, Izala’s luck turns as she meets the cheeky (and shapeshifting) scoundrel named Orrin. He decides to help her escape the mainland, and together they run away from the law, seeking a life where they can both live in peace.

A small comic I had lying around for months which I recently finished (and promptly forgot to upload here.... I’m much better at keeping up with my twitter and instagram x’D)

This is a scene inspired by an RP between @unicornia93 and I where her shapeshifter Orrin turned into an orc for the first time. Izala experienced horrible things while on the run before she met Orrin, and an unfortunate run-in with Orcs had her terrified of them. Luckily she learns that Orrin is Orrin, no matter what he looks like... c:

This was drawn before we re-sized our Orcs again, so he should be a bit smaller but pffh whatever xD

Last day of Mermay, and @unicornia93 and I managed to squeeze out this awesome collaberation. We wanted to try do a 90s animated screencap drawing with a mermaid theme. We drew and inked our respective characters, then worked together on the background elements, coloring and shading to bring them to life. I think we did a great job, and I absolutely love how it came out!

Orrin (Uni’s boy) and Izala are the very first OC couple we made together, so they hold a special place in our hearts <3

Orrin is a vagabond shapeshifter who meets the mute fugitive Izala. The girl is a powerful mage, and on the run from a crazed cult to the god of the Ocean and Thunder, Olous. She’s desperate to leave her dark past behind and find a new start. Orrin decides to help her flee across the ocean, hopefully to freedom. Despite their rocky beginnings, the two become fast friends, and soon something more blossom between them. They travel together as treasurehunters and make friends and enemies alike on their journey... Tragedy lies in wait at every corner for two fugitives however, can they endure the hardships they’ll face?

Orrin is my shapeshifter who travels the world hunting treasures for anyone who hires him. Izala is a mute fugigitive he decides to take with him as she needs to escape. Romance eventually buds and here we are! 🥰

@unicornia93‘s Orrin with my lightweaver mage Azvel. During Orrin and Izala’s travels the two of them, as well as Azvel’s partner Kenar, form a wonderful friendship despite how different they are. Azvel’s hot-then-cold behavior versus Orrin’s passionate, flirty personality is a fun foil and the two bond over their mutual love for history, art and lost artefacts.

I’ll admit, I’ve wanted to ship Orrin with Azvel as more than a passing joke as I think they play off of eachother in a brilliant way. In an AU, they are definitely dating! ^v^

It is fathers day here in Norway and I wanted to do a little thing for the occasion ❤️ A bit late since its past midnight but oh well...

Here's Orrin with his and Izala’s future son in the early hours. Orrin was scared, thinking he wouldn't be a good dad to his child, thinking he would be afraid to hurt them because of the way he used to lead his life. But as he sits there, holding his son he realizes that he is good enough, he can be a great dad. In that moment he realizes how honored he feels to have the chance, to watch his son grow.

I will finish up the full drawing someday featuring Izala as well, my friend @ghoulpetal 's character ❤️

More Blooming Romance guys ❤️ A project I have with my friend @ghoulpetal

First one is of our characters Arthur and Javier, two young boys attending the same school, sharing the same dormitory room. Arthur is shy and insecure, but Javi, who is social and kind draws out the more adventurous side of Arthur and it leads to him growing more secure and open ❤️

Second is some of our GW2 characters, Shiriam and her giant old oak Zirakal. She is young and naive, wanting adventure and new experiences where Zirakal has had quite a lot already. They do however start a sweet relationship where he dares open up more, and she in turn shows him affection and understanding 💕

Last but not least, Orrin and Izala. Orrin is a shapeshifter, putting on a strong, though guy facade when all he truly needs is to be vulnerable. But he is only that with someone he trust. Izala is mute, which makes their relationship so very tender, based on how they had to build a understanding and wish for taking care of one another. I love these two so much ❤️
