“So expected of you, Sir Sterling.” The lighting in the room seems to miss the upper part of the face of the Novelist, the way those brown eyes have a slight hint of purple in them— Must be a trick of the light or the drugs within Richard’s system, yes, there is no possible way the fine gentleman has the devil in those eyes.
“Presenting you with a fantasy and you so quickly snatch it.”
His seat is at the foot of the bed, the room is nothing like small dormitory rooms. This is the master bedroom and grants Orpheus more space for one side is his writing and library section and a covered other side of the room, not seen when at the door, is the laboratory set and cabinet of bottles with strange liquids.
“Your princess, who you searched for long to find… And your first act is,” Eyes going to the young man who lays under the knight, the green dress lifted and partly torn, the face still peaceful. Good, the sleeping drug is potent. “Taking advantage of her sleeping body.” A chuckle dark and rich, “How fitting to the story of Sleeping Beauty.”
“Shut up.” Out of breath, “You know nothing!” Spoken while Richard is fucking his *sister*, “Wake up, wake up, my Emily.”
The eyes roll as Orpheus watches Richard continue to fuck not the poor, *poor*, sister but the one called Prisoner. At least, Richard was sensible enough in his illusions to not just stick his cock into a cunt. There was time, gentleness, and even a shy love towards Luca, well, *Emily*. The combination of a medium dosage, hypnosis, and the pathetic mind of the Knight created this.
Not that Orpheus using Luca had added to the illusion.
“Such a dull character,” Going back to his journal as he writes ideas for a short story collection to add to the library in the manor. “A background character is not worth a sentence. You are too *predictable*.”
Norton Campbell though has a typical background of the common working man, he is one many can relate to and even become attached to. Melly Plinius, is a woman who killed her husband to be free; women understand oppression and being a shadow of their husbands.
Frederick Kreiburg, is a sad story of the fall from grace and damnation at birth.
Alice DeRoss… A story with twists, betrayal, and discovery. A heroine, an inspirational and compelling character with an ending that is unclear.
Then there is Orpheus, a villain and unreliable narrator of these doomed stories.
“It would be a shame to have your princess find herself in love with another. Perhaps a dragon hunter or perhaps a demon king?”
“No!” Richard grabbed and pulled the unconscious body close to his chest, “She is mine!” Seems the broken little boy under the armor of steel is peeking out. Sweaty, hair everywhere, vest partly open; they are positioned to face the Novelist. A dull show of fauxcest, the most this scene will entertain is a dark romance enjoyer; but the male lead is dull.
“Then you best bare the very depths of your soul, Richard Sterling. Your princess is at stake.”
