Oh hey, a fun sketch from last year of my Watch The Stars Fade characters dressed as the main characters from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle! AKA the manga that sparked the beginning of my fascination with multiverses.

Seems like fitting character cosplay for the team of agents working for an interdimensional organization, eh?

Cassowary is Syaoran (clone version, at least) — grounded, down-to-earth, protective, the team’s main hand-to-hand combat fighter.

Owl is Princess Sakura — she’s the only non-action girl on the team, has an easygoing and kind disposition, and also she and Cass are an item.

Kestrel is Kurogane — bold, a bit brash, a bladed weapon aficionado, connections to nobility, has to learn how to accept her own weaknesses and work with others. Hates seeing people give up.

Kite is Fai (haha, my favorite, how cliché) — the team’s primary magic user, powerful enough to cross dimensions under their own power but also their magic fucks them up in some way, last survivor of a destroyed world, probably repressed as fuck.

Warbler is Mokona — let’s be real, I ran out of choices. But also they’re the glue keeping the team together, they guide the others through each new world (socially speaking), they’re a jack-of-all-trades and can sometimes be a little shit.

Anyways, suffice to say, I had fun with this. (They even have their own Magic Lady!! Though theirs is a dragon mom instead of a pseudo-undead witch.)
