IiTzTimmy’s makeshift ALGS team proves ‘haters’ wrong with spectacular NA LCQ run
Tumblr media
Today, the North American ALGS last-chance qualification was won by The Dojo, a last-minute playing team made up of renowned Apex Legends creators and rivals iiTzTimmy, Dezignfu, and Enemy. The star-studded Apex creator squad was formed with the sole goal of trying to qualify for the ALGS Championship LAN event, and despite going up against more practiced and experienced teams, they were successful. Off their LCQ placement, The Dojo has qualified for this year’s ALGS Championship. They’ll join the rest of the world’s best qualified teams on LAN in the U.K. in September. https://twitter.com/PlayApexEsports/status/1683296978648588289 “It is actually just very unreal feeling,” iiTzTimmy said in the post-game ALGS interview. https://twitter.com/PlayApexEsports/status/1683302544657743872 While it is a huge achievement for the content creator trio, these three aren’t newbies when it comes to playing Apex competitively. Enemy has been playing since 2021 and was most recently part of Oxygen Esports. Dezignful is a veteran of the scene now, starting out with orgless team AimAssist in 2020 and eventually moving up to the G2 roster during the summer of 2021. After G2’s disastrous performance at last year’s ALGS Split 2 Playoffs, Dezignful announced he was stepping back from comp to focus on streaming and more content creation. He returned to the competitive world this year, joining Elev8 Entertainment in March, but they parted ways earlier this month. IiTzTimmy has a long history with competitive gaming, from League of Legends to Apex, before becoming a successful creator with 100 Thieves. But, he hadn’t reached Pro League level play until his performance with The Dojo during this LCQ. https://twitter.com/G2Dezignful/status/1667067965844455427 The three players who make up The Dojo revealed they would be playing together in June, and managed to qualify for the Champs LCQ by taking second in the Circuit 4 Challengers Circuit individual tournament on June 17 (just a week after the announcement), which gave them enough points to cross the finish line. Their LCQ run was just as successful; they sailed into the winner’s bracket with 78 points from the group stage, tying with Stallions for first and only losing out when it came to kills. They went on to win the upper bracket by a huge margin; 137 points to second place FURIA’s 66. The Dojo showed no signs of slowing down going into the finals. Though FURIA and Stallions beat them to match point, The Dojo were the ones who were able to execute when it mattered during the sixth match. During the final circle, they were in a three-vs-three against DNO—another squad vying to make it to Champs consisting of ex-Sentinels players lou and senoxe, and former OpTic Gaming star and LANimals coach dooplex. Dooplex was knocked during the fight, giving The Dojo a three-vs-two advantage. The content creator trio pressed this to its fullest, preventing DNO from getting a key revival off and winning the match in one fell swoop. Read the full article

Continuation of Freemanverse: Casual-Comp Gaming AU; OG Half-Life Edition
(R if you read this, can you wake me up at 1 AM later? I still have assignments)
Got another stockpile of ideas to dump, so here we go fellas!
- Eli “J. M0ses” Vance (40 y/o) and Isaac “Lamarr” Kleiner (42 y/o)
Coach-Analyst pair for many esports games, including FPS, MOBA, and RTS. They were considered as one of the best pair in esports coach history. Both were ex-pro player of CS franchise before retiring after CSGO got released. They met young John who was known as one of the young prodigy, both in academic (Ph.D in MIT’s Theoretical Physics at 19 y/o) and gaming. Both of them then got hired by Black Mesa esports org as CSGO coach-analyst for few years before moving on to R6S coach-analyst. College teachers at community college on daytime and coach-analyst pair after work.
- Barney “BlueShift” Calhoun (28 y/o)
A pro player in FPS Multiplayer and John’s long-time gaming partner. Strangely got his username before Half Life: Blueshift got released. He’s the one that introduced John to FPS Multiplayer gaming and became his teammates throughout his days, except for John’s CoD days due to Barney got picked up early by Black Mesa esports org for CSGO team roster. He got benched after few months and got replaced by John himself, which frustrated him and decided to be a streamer for couple of months, before discovering R6S. Currently A vice-captain and flex in Black Mesa R6S roster.
- Adrian “DeltaF0rce” Shephard (31 y/o)
A young veteran who uses gaming to cope with his PTSD after his last deployment in Middle East and an ex-pro player in Real Time Strategy based games. Starcraft II was his first taste in the competitive gameplay before finally discovering Warcraft III. Currently working orgless as a streamer and a content creator in YouTube, trying newer RTS-based games as closed beta tester or joining smaller competitions for Warcraft III for fun. Once he had a serious conflict with John to the point that Eli and Isaac had to sit both of them down and talk them out from their problem.
- Alyx “D0G” Vance (17 y/o)
An upcoming young star for Racing games, much to her dad’s dismay. She found out about the genre when she saw one of iRacing tournaments and decided to learn more about them. After saving up for several months and with additional help of her parents and friends, she managed to built her own racing station with one of those wide monitors and specialized steering wheel controller. She climbed ranks and became one of the top ranked players among the adults at the age of 16 and attracted most pros’ attentions, including from Aperture esports org who aimed to hire her. Even though his dad is working for Black Mesa esports org, she’d rather play orgless.
- Wallace “@min” (Pronounced: Admin) Breen (56 y/o)
CEO of Black Mesa esports org. Not much of a gamer, but competent enough to maintain the massive org and its reputation. Not many people know about him, not even the media and his recruits. He got eyes for many future prodigy players before other pros got their attention. Passionate about his job and actually not an asshole and supportive towards all his org members. Once was working in government before quitting due to a case set against him by someone. Spends his time obliterating players in Online Chess esports.
Few notes below:
- How I got all Gordon’s middle name; Wayne is pretty obvious (from wayneradiotv, HLVRAI’s origin), Dean is from DeSinc’s first name (I think his full name is Dean Sinclair? That’s what he put on his Steam account), Ross is from his machinima creator’s name (Ross Scott), and Antoine is from the channel’s name (Antoine Delak, Gorgeous Freeman’s origin channel). As for John, however, that name is the first thing that popped up when I’m trying to get his middle name.
- Eli’s username is a reference from his HL:A voice actor’s name (James Moses Black).
- Once again, I’ll say this; BREEN IS A GOOD MAN IN THIS AU, WHILE HL GMAN WILL BE THE TRUE ASSHOLE THAT TRYING TO BUY BLACK MESA ESPORTS ORG.
- Also HL GMan and HLVRAI GMan are two different men. Yes, both of them works in government, but GMan Coolatta is one supportive dad to Tommy, who works as a content creator.
- Don’t worry, Black Mesa esports org will get a MASSIVE change and then the orgless characters will no longer orgless.
- Aperture have their own esports org too?! Yes, Valve was in for a big shock (I can hear Gaben having an existensial crisis there). I’m still planning for it, but Chell is a pro player at Tetris and Puyo-Puyo, while GLaDOS, and the cores got humanized and get their own roles as well. Cave Johnson is still alive and Caroline is the mother hen of the org’s recruits.
Bonus: Breen got his username from smol Alyx’s suggestion and still cherished that name in many interviews about his strange username.

The Mind Duos, so Ross won’t be lonely.
Introducing: Barney’s Mind and Shephard’s Mind!
I don’t watch enough Barney’s Mind and Shephard’s Mind to fully know them, but I’ve seen enough clips of them to simply deduce some interesting personality traits and their roles.
- Barnes “IRARhythmMaster” Calhoun (28 y/o)
Barney’s younger twin brother, Ross’ closest friends (other than the Freemans), and both a streamer and a pro player at rhythm game, especially Osu and Taiko no Tatsujin (he’s a tablet + keyboard player for Osu and he has Taiko’s drumset official console). Unlike his older twin, Barnes is the dictionary definition of salty player. He tends to be passive-aggressive towards his opponents and uses too much sarcasm that even his friends don’t know which is which anymore. If someone mistook him as his brother, he’ll rant an essay about how he and Barney are different breed (spoiler, the only three things that differentiates him from Barney are his saltiness at everything, his taste in gaming, and his lack of scar on his cheek). He’s the reason why Ross is questioning his sexuality. He was a part Black Mesa esports org before leaving because he got tangled between the org’s internal problem and remained orgless
- Hadrian (his name still pronounced “Adrian” btw) “KrimsinPlayer” Shephard (30 y/o)
Adrian’s younger brother and an indie game reviewer/content creator on YouTube. He was deployed with his brother in the Middle East and got separated, but came home later than his older brother after a mission went wrong and his comrades died from hidden bombs, except himself due to him staying behind. As the result, he got home with severe PTSD, way worse than his older brother and creates a sense of paranoia. Adrian introduced him to the world of gaming to help him cope up, slowly reducing the trauma and made the younger brother take a grip on his life by himself once more. Instead of focusing on one type of game genre, he prefers to play smaller games by indie developer and give his honest opinion. The videos of his reviews got warmly received by the YouTube community, even some of his fans gave him plenty of recommendations to play certain indie games (they’ll give him trigger warnings if the game contents are darker, which he complied and inputted them inside his reviews). Barnes helped him a lot with video editing for his contents, in exchange for him moderating his streams (Barnes and Hadrian are roommates, btw). His YouTube Channel got hundreds of thousand of subscribers.

Sorry to bother but what's happening with owl? If you don't wanna explain that's perfectly fine! Have a great day!!
like 2 wks ago second wind, an orgless contenders team that’s been on a win streak, announced the signing of ellie, a t500 player, and immediately dudes were suspicious ( for the usual reasons but also apparently because of some voice delay whenever ellie used mic ) and asked “ why would you even pick a player straight from ladder ” and “ is she even a girl ” which led to ppl trying to doxx her cuz they wanted to prove that she was boosted or was secretly a dude with a voice changer or smth.
then second wind tweeted out that ellie decided to step down and i think the team manager ( ??? ) said the reason for her retirement was cuz she couldn’t handle that the “ fangirls ” put her on an impossible pedestal, while failing to address the constant harassment from men.
then aspen said on stream that the one playing on the ellie account was actually punisher + slasher tweeted out that ellie on mic really is a 17 yr old girl. and if that’s the case, it rly would have been better if it was punisher using a voice changer cuz then all harassment would have been directed toward him alone.
but this really doesn’t change that this kind of treatment would have happened anyway if ellie was the one playing. even geguri was accused of cheating when she debuted in 2016. what’s also frustrating is that now that everything was revealed to be a bullshit “ social experiment ” guys r goin xd and i told u so which ultimately makes it harder for women who legitimately want to make it in the pro esports scene
it rly is saddening cuz it would have been cool for ellie to have been the first female player in na contenders instead of just some prank
i’ve been occupied with other things lately so if i have wrong details pls add to this to correct me !!

TSM Parts Ways With Well-Known Smash Ultimate Pro After 3 Years
Tumblr media
The release of yet another elite player from a tier-one organisation is the second unexpected announcement that has affected the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate landscape in the last week. TSM has released Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey, its sole Smash Ultimate player, after three years together, the org announced today. https://twitter.com/TSM/status/1630613963007311887 Before joining TSM, Tweek first represented Phoenix1 in 2017 alongside Zach “Captain Zach” Lauth for Wii U and James “Duck” Ma for Melee. Tweek claimed his first premier tournament win on Nov. 4, 2017, at MKLeo Saga, alongside four more titles in Wii U, before leaving Phoenix1 on May 17, 2018. On Dec. 29, 2018, Tweek transitioned into Ultimate as a free agent, entering his first major tournaments and continuing his prior dominance at Let’s Make Moves and Glitch 6 before being picked up by TSM on Jan. 19, 2019, joining Smash Melee legend William “Leffen” Hjelte and coach Charles Thoren. Tweek was the first and only Smash Ultimate player to represent the organization after the departure of Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios to Tempo Storm in 2018. Tweek’s fame within the Ultimate scene continued to grow after his signing, including wins at Frostbite 2019, his first tournament with the organization, and Smash Ultimate Summit 3, his first invitational event. During his three years with TSM, Tweek claimed seven Major tournament titles, most recently including Supermajor Let’s Make Big Moves 2023. Tweek’s performances kept him in the top echelon of players throughout Ultimate, ranking as high as second place in the 2019 Spring PGRU, the global player leaderboard, only falling behind Leonardo “MKLeo” Lopez Perez. Tweek continued his dominance over the years, finishing the most recent UltRank 2022 in eighth place. https://twitter.com/TweekSsb/status/1630639494801047584 Following TSM’s announcement, Tweek confirmed his free agent status, which is now shared with MKLeo, who also parted ways with T1 last week. Both players will be attending Smash Ultimate Summit 6 on March 23 to 26, the first tournament since their release and possibly the last tournament for Beyond The Summit, which plans to shut down after the event. The decision between TSM and Tweek’s mutual parting brings up many questions about the future of Smash’s competitive scene, with two of the greatest players in Ultimate history now orgless. Many organizations have subsequently dropped teams and players, with BTS’ co-founder, David “LD” Gorman, citing the “esports winter” as a major contributing factor for many large organizations’ recent decisions and layoffs. Despite TSM dropping its only remaining Ultimate player, the org has not left the competitive scene entirely, still retaining Leffen, who first signed in 2015, marking an eight-year tenure and the sole representative of TSM in the entire Smash scene. CSGO Betting Predictions For Upcoming 2019 Events
The best way to make accurate CSGO betting predictions is to prepare for the upcoming events available for betting--may it be major or premier. Knowing the tournaments coming your way can definitely give you a heads up. You can do your research about the teams, players, and formats before you make a final say. So without further ado, let’s get to know the upcoming 2019 tournaments and let the countdown begin.
Tumblr media
Intel Challenge Katowice 2019
This year, the Intel Challenge Katowice will see the strongest teams in Asia, South America, Europe, and North America. It will introduce a total prize pool of $50,000 USD sponsored by Intel and Anykey. The confirmed participants are Dignitas Female, Besiktas Esports, Assassins, Orgless Female, CLG Red, Carnage Esports Female, and Time Das Lindas. We have yet to see the 4th representative of the European qualifier. If you want to bet on the most powerful CS:GO female team, start making accurate betting predictions for CSGO before February 28.
United Masters League Season 1
The United Masters League is a new tournament introduced by ChallengeMe.GG and Unikrn as part of a series. The teams competing will come from online qualifiers. The 4 participating teams will battle it out on the playoffs, semi-finals , and grand final. The playoffs will feature single-elimination bracket where all matches are in BO3. The organizers will soon reveal the complete details of the events, so stay tuned and always be alert.
BLAST Pro Series: São Paulo 2019
The Blast Pro Series in Brazil is organized by RFRSH. It will feature a $250,000 USD prize pool. The tournament will follow a different format exclusive only to tournaments included in the Blast Pro Series. 6 of the teams will battle it out in the group stage and grand finals, then will head to the BLAST Pro standoff.
The BLAST Pro Standoff is a prize bonus showmatch, with five 1v1 aim duels. The team finishing in 3rd place chooses their opponent from the remaining teams who finish below them. The winner of the BLAST Pro Standoffs takes home a $20,000 USD bonus prize. Astralis and MIBR are the first two invited participants. Without a doubt, the Brazil edition of the Blast Pro Series is one of the biggest CSGO event. Make sure you have accurate CSGO betting predictions before the 3rd week of March, and equally prepare for the next tournaments under the Blast Pro Series.
