I love Fordo's shriek hawk tattoo. It's honestly such an amazing representation of Jango's relationship with the Alphas and how much he cares about them even if he can't show it at times. Also it's a niche way to show their Mandalorian influence and culture and all.
Thanks so much for liking my design for Fordo, with jaig eye tattoos!
As you say, narratively, it's supposed to show a lot about Fordo's (and the Alphas') relationship with Jango.
BUT, I also gave Fordo those tattoos because he's one of only 3 official clones who have jaig eyes on their buckets!
Tumblr media
Given that Fordo is from Clone Wars 2003, and the other two, Rex and Blackout, are from the 2008~ The Clone Wars, that makes Fordo actually the first clone to appear in media with jaig eyes.
So, my in-narrative setup of him being the first clone to receive jaig eyes (from Jango), who then goes on to bestow them on other clones, is meant to reflect actual SW media too!
(And then of course, there's the fact that the jaig eyes only appear on Fordo's Phase II bucket, shown above, whereas his arguably more iconic Phase I bucket doesn't have them (and then I included world-building in Override to explain why that is, aka Early War doesn't allow as much clone self-customization). So, I had them tattooed on his face, so he has the jaig eyes on him irregardless of whether they're painted on his bucket lol)

@orcinusorca2236 asked me for some more Teleri world building! I am so sorry for how delayed this is
I have my first set here and there is more in the Teleri tag! All headcanons about language or words are mine!
-Tattoos and body paint are a semi common form of art and expression! Most are temporary and even more permanent tattoos will not last forever. Pigments come from a variety of sources but rocks and shells make up an large percentage. Symbols range from abstract patterns, sometimes meant to represent the ocean, wind or other natural phenomena to detailed landscapes painted right across the face or arms of an individual. I have my partial guide to Telerin symbols here
-Long hair is common for Telerin elves. One style involves simple twisting rather than braids, usually tied with a stretch of cloth or even grass. Complex styles that take time are usually for celebratory occasions. Pearls are often woven into the hair during weddings. These are from a custom shared with the Noldor and are primarily meant to play upon the light
-The weather of Alqualondë is mild with colder air sometimes coming from the ocean. Lizards and snakes can be seen basking upon the lower walls throughout most of the year. Tortoises live in gardens as a popular companion. They are sourced from the nearby countryside. The Telerin word for tortoise translates to rock turtle. A later word used by some translates to sun rock turtle.
-The Coast around Alqualondë and the surrounding lands is long. It spreads through whatever Rayati of different climates and ecosystems. In the harbors around the city, the weather is mild but the water is cool, but there are grooves, including mangroves with warmer weather and even warmer climate. There reach a little ways inland and are home to complex ecosystems. At least one is home to manatees. This grove is named for Úinen.
-There are also places on the coast with warmer water and there is another small population of Teleri who live here. The waters around Tol Eressëa are also much warmer and are home to dugongs, more reefs and other tropical and subtropical life
-The lands between the Pelóri and Alqualondë are full of open woodlands, orchards and fields and groves, and salt marshes. There are hundreds of little springs, some coming down from the mountains, some originating inland. Many trickle down to the sea.
-The walls that surround Alqualondë are covered in shells and even fossils. There are three watch towers and a number of lighthouses. Prior to the Darkening, these towers primarily functioned for observation, astronomy and cartography study, rather than defense
-Casual nudity is common among the Teleri who frequently swim and walk along the beaches with little to no clothing. There are saltwater and freshwater springs in and around Alqualondë where people go to bathe, relax and enjoy companionship. These often have simple sandstone shelters built around them
- Instruction is common with mixed age groups. Natural materials and outdoor lessons make up a lot of the learning. Lessons are conveyed through stories both real and folkloric. Telerin children are also taught swimming, boats, and water safety from a young age.
-There are many families and individuals who live on their boats on the water.
-The Teleri have an extensive collection of knowledge on toxins, secretions and substances, both potent and subtle, found in mollusks, crustaceans, fish, aquatic flora, and other marine and water creatures. These are sometimes used in medicine and even crafts.
-Fishing is usually done with woven nets and handmade spears. The malicious killing of sea birds is forbidden. Telerin fishers often find strong religious significance in their trade.

I swear I love your artwork. Cody with wings makes him look like a benevolent protector. A symbol of strength and protection clad in armor.
Besides Fordo I'd have to say Cody is my top clone.
Thanks so much for liking him! Winged Cody is definitely a protector!
...and not to self-promote, but he's part of an AU! You can see all the art on Tumblr through the Take Flight, Brothers All AU section of my pinned Masterpost, or alternatively see all parts of the AU together on AO3!

Hey me again . I just finished reading the prime override and I have to say it's truly one of the best things I've read you managed to design such a wonderful story with compelling characters and a truly amazing and in depth world building that just draws me in every time I read it . I love the whole bond thing you have with the clones ( which really reminds me of the drift from pacific rim) . All in all please continue writing your works are some of the best I've ever seen and your art is so unique as well .
I'm so sorry for the late reply to this! And thank you so much for giving Override a chance, and I'm so incredibly humbled that you liked it so much!
For all the funky ship tags and other wtf tags it has going on, the Prime Override is really my love letter to clones through an in depth exploration of their culture, their history, and as many individuals as I can. I know I'm going about in in some weird ways, but there's logic to it I swear!
It was so nice to be able to re-read your comment today, on the 2nd anniversary of posting the fic! Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement!

I love Spar and his batchmates relationship. I have siblings and this is how exactly we'd act (minus space shenanigans). And your design of Spar is just amazing 🤩. Honestly I just love your fics as a whole.
TYSM for liking my take on Spar and the Alphas!
I think one of the reasons why I really enjoyed spending so much time with Seventeen, Fordo, Ninety-Nine, Spar, and Jango in the Early War period is that in many ways, they're kind of like a microcosm for exploring clone brotherly dynamics? There's 100 of them (if we include Boba), and sure that sounds like a lot, but at the same time, 100 is a number that is far easier to visualize and wrap my head around than 300 million. And the Alphas, while they do still consider all of the other clones to also be their brothers, also feel some isolation and distinct identity due to the unique circumstances of their specific limited batch. These circumstances also mean that they are many degrees closer to Jango than any other clones, and by letting Jango explore opening up to them first, he sorta gets to roll with "being in a clone body" with training wheels before he's pitched head-first into the masses in the deployment arc!
wow kinda went off on a rant there, but either way, I'm really flattered that you found my depiction of the Alphas' sibling dynamics to be realistic!
Thanks also for liking my visual art of Spar <3 and for liking my fics!

Just read the new chapter. And it's amazing as always.
Something I picked up on and just wanted to ask: I was rereading the previous chapters cause I couldn't get enough of your work.
And I noticed that Anakin is basically like a sore topic for the clones and everyone. Which I guess is most likely due to the whole dark side and manipulative Palpatine thing.
What's your opinion on Anakin and especially his relationship with the clones and Padme, Obi Wan and the others.
From the chapters where Obi Wan was captured it seems that you're setting up his fall in a truly amazing way by showcasing his tendency to basically jump into things and view things through an extremely skewed and biased lens.
And I'm both excited and anxious. Cause I know you'll definitely write his fall in a truly amazing way but that it will emotionally ruin me again 😭.
Anyway love your work as always you're absolutely amazing
Thanks for enjoying the new chapter!
Regarding Anakin, yes, he's a VERY sore topic for both the clones and Obi-Wan.
I'm not gonna say anything specific in this ask response, but I will say that some answers are coming very soon in the fic!
Thank you so much for reading my work!

...I was right. Anakin Skywalker is once again breaking me emotionally as always.
I like that you showed that yes while Anakin is honestly a good person who was manipulated and tricked into falling and committing heinous crimes by melty face sparky hands (Palpatine) he did however make the choice to fall and he has to take responsibility for his actions.
But that he still deserves help and support nonetheless. And I love how you wrote his situation to be, it's sad and he is suffering but at least he has a chance to recover and hopefully one day be reunited with Obi Wan, Padme and the clones (I miss Rex and Anakin's dynamic 😭)
I'm glad Windu and the other Jedi are alive and the whole reunion between him and Ponds is heartwarming and just all together nice.
Overall another 10/10 for your new chapter. As always your work is amazing 🤩
Anakin is a very complicated and interesting character, and as you say, I think it's possible to both acknowledge that he was manipulated from a young age, but ALSO that he still has responsibility for his own actions.
We'll be viewing his fall from a number of character POVs in this fic, and let's just say that not all of them are equally sympathetic towards him. Not every character saw him do the same things, and how they feel about Anakin will be affected by that.
I'm glad you liked the reunions!
Thanks so much for reading and enjoying the chapter!

Ok question that's popped into my mind . Since clones all have wings in your au . How do they swim and fight underwater since well there's the mon cala civil war and various aquatic worlds that would become battlegrounds o know that most birds can swim and all but I just wanna hear your opinion on this thanks
Assuming this is for Take Flight.
I feel like I've answered this before but I can't remember, so apologies if my answer differs from what I said then. And I guess my response is, I think it's stupid for more or less baseline human soldiers to be sent to fight underwater anyway (in canon). While many birds can swim, with the exception of penguins, to my knowledge most of those birds pin their wings tightly to their bodies to reduce drag, and then otherwise don't really use their wings in water, except perhaps to help float.
For this AU, I'm sure that clones who happened to come out with slightly slimmer wings are more likely to be assigned to water combat-heavy battalions, like those assigned with Kit. But in general, the wings just create more drag and are largely useless in water except as shields, which is still better than not having them I suppose.

All for the clones having some payback and justice for how they were treated by the republic. Just read your new chapter and once again I am amazed at your writing. It's truly a masterpiece and one of my favourites to binge read again and again. All for Fox going batshit crazy. He deserves to blow off some steam.
Thanks so much for enjoying the last chapter of Override! And for sure, in part it's kinda payback/justice...but mostly, it's insurance. Which, you'll see why in the next chapter, which should be coming out this weekend!
I do really enjoy gives-no-fucks Fox though hehe!

I love Mors's design it reminds me quite a bit if Thanatos a sort of benevolent caretaker of the dead who embodies the meaning of euthanasia or a good or well death.
And the way he cares for his dead brothers really made me tear up. Even if they weren't appreciated or cared for in life at least they will be in death.
Once again great work and pls keep it up I live for your art and your writing.
Thank you so much for liking Morbs! He isn't specifically inspired by any other existing character/entity, but kind of is more a logical product of his environment and the narrative space I need him to occupy. Benevolent caretaker of the dead is very fitting for him though! Because his men have already passed, he's allowed to show them a kind of tenderness and quiet that is so hard to find when they're alive and fighting for their lives.
Thank you so much for stopping by, and for liking my boy <3

Could you do some more Falmari and Teleri Headcannons. Like i think that they would have tamed or formed bonds with marine mammals like Orca's and whales and adopt them into their family so if you don't mind could you do some headcannons about this pls thks .
Absolutely! I love this kind of world building
I’ll do the Teleri of Aman here! More in the tag!
First main set of Teleri world building
Teleri and marine mammals headcanons:
I love the idea of bonding with marine mammals! Especially considering their connection to Uinen and Ossë it makes sense! Perhaps it was Uinen who taught them to recognize different whale songs.
@orcinusorca2236
The climate of Alqualondë is mild and a variety of marine mammals can be seen from the coasts, with still more common in deeper water and known more to sailors and fishers. These species are seen in motifs, art, poetry, song and folktale of the Teleri. (I can make a full post about environment and marine mammals from an ecological perspective if you're interested!)
Tales of elven children during the Great Journey becoming lost or nearly drowning and being rescued by families of whales are told and painted. Telerin children are taught from a young age to respect the creatures of the ocean and their power and size.
There are those among the Teleri who can speak more directly to animals, who learn their tongues with ease (as Celegorm does for example).
It's not uncommon for Teleri fishers and sailors to recognize the same whales on return journeys, to know their habits. Whale migrations and journeys are studied and mapped by Telerin scholars, some of whom actually travel alongside them.
Likewise, families who live on the water (I headcanon some of them do live on their boats though this is more common with the river elves and Falathrim of Beleriand) and those who live above or beside it will often have creatures they recognize and maintain friendships with. Seals who wait for offerings of fish from familiar people, whales who approach the shallower water out of curiosity to see certain families on the shore.
Beached whales are extremely rare as the waters around Alqualondë hold the power of Ulmo but when they do occur, it is a crisis that will bring any nearby residents at once.
Many Telerin healers have studied injuries that occur to marine mammals from sea monsters and other forces. These are as well documented as injuries to elves
Beaches where seals frequently congregate are often considered sacred.
I hope this is ok! As always please feel free to ask more!
