I feel like doctors are less dramatic about smoking and potential lung cancer than dentists are about oral piercings that if done and treated right wont do damage. I've had them since I was 17 and they have never notes any damage on my teeth yet they keep being dramatic about it...

Interest in Oral History Participation

Hey, guys! I am still in grad school, and while it's very fun, it's incredibly busy. Recently, I decided to switch from French religious history to history of entertainment, which is now the focus of my thesis. I'm reaching out to see if anyone might be interested in participating in oral history interviews.

My thesis covers how M*A*S*H influenced society throughout the 1970s into the 21st century, particularly through anti-war sentiment, anti-establishment/anti-authority sentiment, and the destigmatization of mental illness. Ultimately, the goal is to interview people who have seen the majority of the show (ie, have seen the switch from Henry Blake to Potter, Trapper to BJ, Frank to Charles, etc.) and to interview people of different age groups. For those interested, I do oral history interviews to collect my primary sources, as I believe that is the best way to get to the root of social history. However, for my thesis, the only interviews I currently have lined up are with conservatives, and while their perspectives are important to include, theirs cannot be the only voice I have in my thesis, especially since my thesis is covering one of the most liberal shows for its contemporary circumstances.

Sensory seekers with mouth piercings how do u stop biting it bcs i keep biting it. Its a flat back now instead of a ball so its closer to my flesh and so its actually worse now (i want the flat back bcs its more comfortable)

Chewies dont work for me bcs they're too big and hurt my jaw

As a kid id chew on bobby pins and bottle caps and i dont do tht anymore (took yrs to break the habit) but basically if its near my mouth, i will bite it. I cant help it, its hard to stop. I didnt rlly consider that when i got it pierced tbh!

My mouth pretty much always has some sort of sores because I do tht so often that my mouth is extremely scarred which im used to but i figure it isnt good for a piercing if its still healing :/

OH well when I was like eight I had an extra tooth that was trying to grow upwards, like, into my nose, so they had to go in and surgically remove that one. smh. it fucked up all my other teeth somehow so then i got braces immediately after. i have really good mouth genetics actually.
