It was just the two of them in the tour bus, the rest still out partying with Lost Society after their first gig of the tour.

"I know he's a bit enthusiastic about it, but he'll stop if you tell him to." Olli offered, sitting on his bunk.

"I know, I just-" Aleksi flopped next to him on the bunk, "I knew going into this that you guys all were cuddly and stuff, I don't care, hell I've sat on his lap before, I just don't get why he wants it to be shirts off?"

"Some health article he read about the benefits of it."

"That would explain why he was yelling about my immune system." He mumbled, "I feel bad enough when I get sick and miss shows, I do what I can."

"No one blames you for getting sick," Olli assured him.

But Aleksi had to wonder, they never said a cross word to him about it but he always felt like he was letting them down.

Or wasn't needed. After all, they could still play without him.

He must have been lost in thought too long, because an arm came around him, giving a little shake.

"You ok?" Olli asked, frowning with concern.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." Aleksi gave him a smile, "I think I'll go to sleep."

Olli nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face, "you never sleep well the first few nights on the bus, right?"

"Yeah."

"Wanna share mine tonight? It might help and if nothing else It'll make sure Joonas doesn't try to get in with you if he gets too drunk."

He laughed, picturing a drunk Porko trying to get into Aleksi's high bunk, but nodded; the idea of sharing with Olli was pretty appealing.

He quickly got ready for bed and slipped in Olli's bunk, a tight fit for the two of them but his presence was as grounding and calming as always as Olli drew the curtain closed.

At some point in the night Aleksi realized he couldn't sleep, trying to keep himself pinned to the side, and let himself relax, ending up with his head on Olli's bare chest. His arm came around Aleksi, hand resting where his shirt had ridden up.

"That ok?" Olli asked, half asleep.

"Yeah."

"Ok, night Allu."

Aleksi drifted off, not sure if there was any validity to the health claims Joonas had read about, but at least for the first night in their new home for the next several weeks, it was very comforting.

Okay so, for some reason I have Kirsten with very full wavy, brown hair in my head which is funny because together with Joonas their kid must have the best hair genes ever^^ And Milli is blonde for me. Maybe I tend to adapt them to their husbands🤔 But Jenna's always changes for me since you said in one line I think that she likes to experiment. And for Riina idk why I have a twitch streamer in my head. With like round glasses and hair more like Joel (but nicer😂)

Oh the curls are there and all three Porko kids are blessed cursed with hair thicker than literally anyone else's. But when they get the blonde, they're basically Joonas's carbon copies which the two extra-little-shit kids use to their advantage.

Blonde Milli would be interesting! I think maybe a couple of her siblings got the blonde from one of their parents but she and one of her brothers has dark hair (but they're not complaining about it). Enkka gets dark brown hair too, between her and Joel's natural hair color.

as a former high school teacher I can barely bring myself to read high school AUs let alone write them but !!!!!!! y'all, this one that I just came up with would be the cuteeeeeeeessst high school AU 🥺

so we'd have Aleksi as the bratty snobby rich boy hanging out with his fuckboy buddies (let's say Arttu Lindeman and Isac Elliot 🤭 Robin would be his actual best friend since kindergarten though, but he goes to a different school)

and Olli would obviously be in his own emo fuckboy friend group 🥰 (except Porko is maybe less emo and more...twinky 😅 and Niko with his bisexual bob... 🤔 jesus, how come they ALL looked so fruity when they were teenagers?! 😂 even Joel looked kinda awkward and trying too hard to appear heterosexual (and failing))

anyway! at school they'd pretend to hate each other's guts, or just ignore each other the very least, but they go to the same chemisty class or something, which none of their friends took because it was the super early Monday morning one, but Olli had no choice because he needed that course and all the other courses clashed with his bass lessons, and Aleksi couldn't fit the other options in his schedule either because of his...twinky fuckboy lessons? 😂 idk I'll come up with a funky hobby for him later lol

yeah, anyhow, perhaps they're even lab partners and low-key crushing on each other, although they'd never ever admit it to anyone, because to Aleksi's friends, Olli is a stuck-up loser emo kid, and to Olli's friends, Aleksi is a posh douchebag showing off daddy's money, and they both have no choice but to laugh along with their friends (because that's what teenagers do to fit in), but during their shared early morning chemistry classes Aleksi has noticed Olli is actually super sweet and funny and that his "bitchy" appearance is due to him just being sort of socially awkward with people he doesn't know yet, and Olli soon figures Aleksi is more friendly and down-to-earth than he leads on 👀

I am yet to decide how their relationship would develop from then on, but I suppose they find a way to spend more time together even after their chemistry course ends 🤔 maybe they take the same optional music class (jazz or something none of their friends would be interested in) and that's when they finally realise they have more in common than they thought, and so their secret friendship deepens 😌 and now this is the part where I'm asking you to imagine them having exchanged phone numbers (because they're sure they couldn't follow each other on social media without their friends noticing, and if they did they'd never hear the end of it, and right now neither are ready to deal with stuff like that), and yeah, imagine them hugging and giggling into their pillow in their bedrooms respectively while texting each other in the evenings 🥺💞 first they just chat about school and the music project but eventually about other stuff too and they feel all 💞💓💕 because they feel like they've finally found someone who truly understands them 😭

and maybe one day after the music class they stay behind to voluntarily clean up the classroom or perhaps to practice together, and Olli is blushing and 💞💞💞💞💞💞💞 when Aleksi asks him to help him out with some bass/guitar stuff, and of course they need to be standing quite close together for that (okay maybe they don't need to but they absolutely want to), and then they look up at each other and realise just how close they are to each other and... 💕💓💞💗💖🥰

Ah, but let me introduce you to ✨ The Off-Season ✨

Among the NHL players, there are three (3) kinds of off-season activities the players participate in:

1) golf (sometimes tennis or other rich people sports),

2) fishing, and

3) attending the weddings of their fellow hockey hunks.

Now, what can we work out of this? 😏

Straight to pining, my speciality! How’s some heartbroken Joel when he receives the invitation to his teammate Porko’s wedding. But what if he meets a broad-shouldered stranger from Joonas’ past team at the wedding reception? 👀

More pining? Aleksi missing his teammate Tommi who keeps posting about this off-season activities on his social media, his thumb hovering over the send-button after spending half and hour on crafting a wanna hang out sometime? message to him 🥺 (he doesn’t end up sending it, but their reunion on the pre-season camp is warmer than Aleksi dared to expect 🥰)

At the same wedding reception, which two teammates would get busy in the men’s room while everyone else is wiping tears watching the newly-weds dancing their first waltz as a married couple? 🤔

Aleksi and Niko spend every other day together during season and EVERY day together during off-season, complete with a fishing trip up north, with lots of cuddling in the tent at night 💞

"How would that turn out", you ask? Well, there are literatelly a hundred and one ways, each one more ridiculous than the last 😂

I hope you like this summary of Aleksi trying to be responsible, Joel being a soft baby, Olli barely surviving the trip alive, Tommi taking care of him, Niko wishing they had gone to Lapland instead, and Porko being..Porko 😅

Aleksi, the good bean he is, wants to spoil his boys by taking them on a vacation to an exotic location, far far away from the cold, snowy Finland. He knows it's a little over the top, but ever since he joined the band, he's been the happiest he ever has before, despite all the occasional struggles, so he really wants to give back to the boys for making his life so much better 🖤

Niko, his partner in crime, keeps teasing Aleksi about taking Joel on a honeymoon now that they're more-or-less official (to their families and closest circle of friends at least; the public has not been given a confirmation about the nature of their relationship yet (as if there's need for that, them being so obviously smitten for each other)) 😏

Niko is so far off though, as it's clearly not a honeymoon; the other guys will be there too for starters?! 🙄

(Besides, going with only Joel would have seemed way too suspicious in case the public was to find out about it, and their thing is really at such an early stage that they're determined to keep a low profile as long as they can)

The 12-hour flight to their destination includes 1) Tommi bumping his head on something whenever he gets up, 2) Joonas thinking he's gonna die whenever they experience minor turbulance, 3) Joel almost dropping his phone in the airplane toilet ("Why did you bring your phone to the toilet, you dumdum?" (the answer: he was bored and wanted to send Aleksi d*ck pics), 4) Olli drinking beer with a straw, 5) Niko watching Air Crash Investigation for hours, just to mess with Joonas and Joel, 6) Aleksi wanting to cuddle Joel so bad when he falls asleep against his shoulder because he's just too adorable, but one of the flight attendants recognized them so it's a no-no, and 7) Joonas and Niko joining the mile-high club for the lols (or at least there's a very determined attempt 🙈)

When they arrive in their destination at last, they're all so exhausted that they end up spening the first day locked up in their hotel rooms. Joel and Aleksi know they should be sleeping, but instead they want to catch up on all the snuggles and smooches they haven't been able to do for almost 24 hours 🥰

In the evening they're feeling a little more refreshed, so they all head down to the beach to have a little party of their own. Most of the sunbathing tourists have left by then so the place is occupied only by a local couple and their dog who immediately befriends Joonas, begging for tastings of his ice cream 🐶🍦 This results in Joonas getting ice cream stains all over his new pretty floral shirt, so he has to return to the hotel to change

Tommi: "Are you sure you remember the way?"

Joonas: "Y-yeah? 😰"

Niko: *sighs* "Yeah, I'll go with him 😑"

Then Olli attempts to start a sandball war with Tommi but ends up getting bitten on his finger by a crab 😂😬 So they have to go back to the hotel to desinfect the wound because Olli does not want to end up with some kinda tropical fever again

For some reason, none of the guys ever return to the beach 🤔 Aleksi for sure could not have planned any of that even if he had tried to, but he's thankful to have a moment's peace with Joel, admiring the calm sea and the stars above it ✨💕

(Perhaps Joonas never got around to putting a clean shirt on 😏 Perhaps Olli was feeling a little dizzy after his traumatic encounter with the crab after all 🤭)

The sand under their toes is still warm, but not as warm as Joel's hand in Aleksi's 💓

The breeze from the sea is soft, but not as soft as Joel's lips 💞

They would've done it right there on the beach, had a beach guard not interrupted them and started angrily shouting at them 🙊

(They don't dare go back to that beach for the rest of the trip)

One day they go hiking to see some historical ruins on top a mountain. In the tourist brochure it was said to be one of the most fascinating attractions in the area, but when they get there, it seems to be just a brick wall barely standing up, nothing too interesting nor remarkable. Thus, out of boredom, Joonas and Olli start a came of jenga, daring the other to remove one more brick

One of the bricks falls on Olli's toe and Tommi has to give him a piggyback ride back 😫

(and Joonas is low-key jealous, because Tommi's piggyback rides are the best 🥺)

Aleksi tries fixing the damage they've made to the ruins the best he can, since really doesn't want them to get an entry ban to the whole island lol

(Later, back at the hotel, Tommi looks at the map again and realises they had climbed the wrong fucking hill 🙃)

Meanwhile Niko, detesting the hot weather and, decided to skip the trip altogether and is having a wonderful time sipping on a cold beer at the hotel's terrace 😎

On their way down, Aleksi finds a pretty flower by the side of the path and tucks it behind Joel's ear 🌸

Joel blushes tremendously and can't stop smiling for literal hours. He makes sure not to ruin the flower when they go swimming, and he hates having to take it off when they go to bed, its pedals already falling off. Aleksi promises to find him a new one the next day 😘

Another day they make a trip to a national park and, the weather being a little too hot and humid for northern Europeans, agree on only doing the shortest route (1,5 km), during which 1) Joonas manages to get lost while befriending yet another dog (and no one notices until they're back having drinks at the national park's visitor centre), 2) Joel is brutally attacked by a demonic killer bird that almost pecked his eyes out while screaming at him like it was trying to cast a lethal curse on him!! (=a cute little birdie flew by), 3) Olli drops HIS BEST CAP in the river while they're crossing a hanging bridge, 4) Tommi has to physically restrain Olli from jumping after it, 5) Niko films the whole episode and nearly chokes on air laughing, and 6) Aleksi sweating because he picked up a heart-shaped rock to give to Joel later but now he's not sure if he should have? Like, what if it was some kinda sacred rock and now they're all gonna be cursed or at least banned from the whole continent for fifty years for offending their honour?! 😰

He forgets about it when they have to go back looking for Joonas. They find him sitting on the ground next to the path like a lost child (..which he is, lbr), almost (definitely) bursting into tears when he sees his friends 😭

And like consoling a child, they buy him an extra-large portion of ice cream at the visitor centre to make up for momentarily forgetting about him 🍨

Once back at the hotel, Joel and Aleksi fall straight on their bed 🥰

Joel: "Is that a rock in your pocket or are you just really into this?"

Aleksi: "Oh, right, actually..."

I mean, he is into it too, of course 😌 He feels a little silly about the rock by now though, but luckily Joel is completely taken by the gesture 🥰

On their last night at the location they have drinks by the pool, all of them more or less tired and maybe already a little homesick, so the evening is quite peaceful by their standards, the biggest drama being when someone (Joonas) accidentally downs someone else's (Olli's) drink 🤡

(Niko sees it best not to point out the rather big spider on the back of Joonas' chair)

Meanwhile Aleksi and Joel retreat to one of these kinda chairs to cuddle and make out in peace 💕

So it may not have been a honeymoon, but Aleksi sure is planning on taking Joel on one eventually.. 👨‍❤️‍👨

You truly know how to challenge me 😂 This may not be as action-packed as you probably expect a zombie apocalypse AU to be, but I hope it's entertaining nevertheless 🧟‍♂️

Really though, I'm so so sorry this is most likely NOT what you asked for, but it just sort of happened 😅

Aleksi and Niko are having a movie night at Niko's. Aleksi's not a huge fan of horror and the doings of the undead, but it was Niko's turn to choose the movie, and anyway Aleksi doesn't mind terribly, as long as he gets to snuggle against Niko the whole time 🥰

As much as Aleksi would love to stay over once the movie has ended, Rilla is waiting for him at home (Rommi and Rilla are still a little suspicious about each other 😒), so after cuddling through the end credits (and half an hour more) Aleksi is finally leaving - reluctantly, because he's still got the shivers from the movie :S

He's not a wussy though, so he declines Niko's offer to walk him home

As he opens Niko's front door with the brave attempt to step out in the dark night, there's a pretty... lifeless looking guy standing outside 👀

Aleksi: "Niko? Are you, umm, expecting someone?"

(He's not)

A: "It's just... I think there's a... zombie? Outside your door?"

Niko: "What's Porko doing here at this hour?"

A: "Yeah, I don't think it's Porko."

So, yeah, Aleksi's not going home, at least not by foot, but he can't leave Rilla all alone for the night, so he calls Joel to pick him up with his car

Aleksi's surprised to hear Joonas answer Joel's phone: "Sorry, he can't come, we have a bit of a... situation here."

From the background Aleksi can hear Joel's screams of terror; it seems that J&J are currently experiencing a bit of zombie activity of their own, so Aleksi hangs up. However, he still really needs to get back home to Rilla 🤔

N: "Maybe it's just hungry?"

A: "You volunteer as zombie food?"

N: "No 🙄 but maybe it likes, I don't know, cat food? What do zombies eat?"

A: "Flesh! Zombies eat human flesh!"

N: "... I'm gonna try the cat food first though"

(Rommi, on the other hand, thinks they should try Niko food first 😾)

So they set up a small plate by Niko's front porch and peek through the window to see how it reacts. Alas, the zombie doesn't even look at their humble offering

A: "Do you still have that leftover steak?"

So they try the steak next, and the zombie does squint its bleeding eyes at it, but doesn't make an effort to pick it up from the ground where Niko hastily threw it

By then, Aleksi is starting to panic a little, because it's so late and Rilla is still home alone and, in true dachshund manner, probably thinking Aleksi has abandonded her for good 😢

Meanwhile, Niko gets a text from Joonas: "Random, but if you push a zombie down a balcony, does it die? Would appreciate a quick reply 🙏"

Aleksi kinda wants to call Tommi, but he's in Oulu, so Aleksi reckons he probably would not be much of help

Niko, already on the phone with Tommi: "He says to try and set it on fire. Oh, and Joonas asks if you can kill one by shoving it down from the 8th floor? Uh-huh. Okay. Great. Yeah, say hi to Olli."

So fire, huh? Why, it just happens that Aleksi's flamethrower is in the pocket of his other jacket 😐 /sarcasm

The only source of fire in Niko's apartment is a matchbox and a scented candle his mother bought him when he first moved in

So from the crack of the door, they set the candle on the porch and light it up, hoping it'll scare the zombie away, or maybe give him a headache the very least

While waiting for anything to happen, Niko texts Joonas: "Tommi said it won't work"

Joonas: "Yeah, we kinda figured when it crawled back"

Their distress only grows when they realise the candle has no effect on the zombie. If anything, it seems to be fascinated by it and is now crouching in front of it, playing with the flame

(Niko almost awws at it)

Olli, having heard of the recent events in Helsinki, chirps in with his insights on the matter: "My guess is that the corpses have been awakened by some ancient curse that someone must have declared at that really old cemetary near your house that I've always found a little suspicious, so what I'd suggest is that you find the source of the curse and try to break it, possibly you need to make a blood sacrifice or pronounce a spell, maybe you'll even need a magical token for this, such as a goblet or a ring, but idk, it's just a theory, I haven't really thought about it that much"

Aleksi is close to tears by now, because what if the zombies have surrounded his house too and poor Rilla is absolutely terrified? 😭

Niko, the Prince Valiant to Aleksi's Queen of the Misty Isles, braces himself and does what any caring boyfriend would do: he calls their tour manager

Santeri has specifically requested to not be disturbed after 10 PM on weekdays, quote, "even if there was a fucking zombie apocalypse happening outside", but he supposes he has no other choice but to save these idiots' asses 😑

Santeri once he arrives, gesturing towards the zombie: "Why won't you let Porko in?"

The zombie seems to be just as puzzled as Niko and Aleksi are of the fact that Santeri just.. promptly walked past it 🤷‍♂️

Niko, whispering to Aleksi at the backseat of Santeri's car (because hell nah are he and Rommi gonna stay at that house): "Maybe Santeri is one of them 😳"

A: "... Thank lord I'm picking our next movie."

Never in their right minds would they have guessed what a sight would be waiting for them at Aleksi's house: there's a swarm of zombies gathered around in a circle on his front yard, growling angrily at something

The zombies seem to pay no attention to them, so they tiptoe closer to see what's in the middle of the circle

S: "Oh, for fuck's sake 😐"

Turns out, Olli's theory may not be too far off: in the middle of the outraged zombies there's Rilla, possibly even more furious than the creatures around him. Between her teeth there's a long bone, dirty with soil, as if it had been digged up from... well, a grav‍e 💀

(The rest of the story includes plotlines such as 1) nerd!Olli having the time of his life trying to figure out a way to resolve the situation in Helsinki from the safety of 600 kilometres, 2) Tommi answering "k" when Joel sends him an unusually incoherent text informing him that he wishes to be buried in his Venom beanie, 3) Joonas thinking the zombie that crawled up straight wall for 8th floors may get to stay on the balcony if it promises to keep away the birds that keep crapping on his patio furniture (and anyway Joonas believes this particular zombie must have been quite handsome when he was a bit more alive 😏), 4) Rilla absolutely refusing to give up the really cool bone she found and worked SO HARD to to dig up 😤, 5) Aleksi feeling like the worst dog dad, 6) Niko making him a hot chocolate with marshmallows to console him once the zombies have finally left (Aleksi gave them one of Rilla's chewy toys in return and the zombies were quite thrilled about it), and 7) Santeri deciding to quit and become a florist)

Another funny dialogue snippet it is! I can tell you that pretty much all my fave dialogues are humorous ones 😂 I have no shame in admitting that I was cackling while writing this conversation for one of my Valentine's Day prompt stories last winter (and I definitely had not planned it, it just sort of..happened 😆):

“What should I do?” he whined and leaned his head on Joonas’ shoulder. “I don’t think I can handle this anymore.”

"Handle what?” Joel finally looked at Olli, wearing a slight frown on his face.

Joonas was kind enough to provide an answer. “He can’t handle the fact he wants to handle Aleksi.”

“Ah. Sure,” Joel shrugged and turned his focus back to his guitar.

Olli rolled his eyes but stayed put against his friend. “Thanks, Porko, that’s exactly how I would have put it myself.”

“Tell me I’m wrong, though,” Joonas patted Olli’s thigh. “But honestly speaking, I don’t understand why you two still keep playing cat and mouse. Even my mom wondered the other day why you’re not already official.”

“Oh god, is that why my mom texted me the other day asking if I have something to tell her? Porko, what the fuck, argh!” Olli whined, hiding his face with his hands again.

“I didn’t tell her anything, I swear, I can’t help she’s nosy!”

"Wait, is that why my mom texted me the other day complaining how she’s always the last one to know about everything? She seemed proper pissed,” Tommi frowned, causing Olli to groan some more.

"If it helps at all, my mom’s not interested in your marital status whatsoever,” Joel commented. “Although she did ask me when you’ll be moving to Helsinki. Didn’t really understand what she was on about so I told her to ask you.”

“Wonderful, so now all your mothers are after me? Has anyone called Niko’s mom yet?” Olli sat up and spread his arms, exasperated.

..very late at night, since they play at concerts in the evening, which suits some members of the squad better (Joel) than some others (Olli)

Joonas' superpower is in his nails; that's why he has to keep them painted real pretty at all times 💅 They extract some kinda lethal poison, which is why he has to wear gloves while..well, while doing a lot of things 😳🙄

Joel's superpower hyperawareness is more a curse than a gift tbh. He is tired of being constantly aware of things. It keeps him from falling asleep, it makes him jumpy and paranoid, and he can't stand being aware of Porko expecially (for many reasons)

The t(error) twins are also telepathic, as in they can read each other's minds if they want to, which makes them a great team in action, but insufferable when they don't agree with each other's thoughts. There isn't much to read in Porko's mind though, and Joel's mind is mostly darkness and it makes Joonas sad so he doesn't like to use this power that much anyway 😟

Olli is a very, very bendy boy. Practically boneless. Great use when they need him to squeeze through tiny..cracks and..holes..... 😐

He's also a skillful healer (they don't call him the master of recovery for no reason). And he doesn't have to literally "kiss it better", but that's what he has managed to convince everyone anyway and they have just accepted it as his method

Tommi's superpower is literally death vision, which is funny to the other guys because Tommi is actually such a teddy bear with the most beautiful smile 🥰 In any case, he has to wear sunglasses most of the time so that he won't accidentally end up killing someone. The funny sunglasses they get as fan gifts come in handy 👍

So he's pretty effective in a conflict ya know? But using this superpower takes a lot of energy, and sometimes a good old fist-fight is more fun anyway 💪

Niko's superpower is siren song 💖 Fist fights? Nah, that's so old-fashioned. Our boy will simply sing you to submission ✨

And according to himself, Niko also has supernatural intelligence. According to the other guys, Niko is full of shit 😂

And Aleksi, ever the black sheep, is a master of social cloaking. That's how he ended up in the band in the first place, and so far no one suspects a thing..

He also happens to have poison immunity 😏

So whoever ends up writing this can come up with more specific details, but let's say they're fighting against some kinda dark force that's trying to take over the world or something like that? 🤔

And Aleksi's social cloaking could be A) he was just lonely and wanted friends so he decided to assimilate to this band who also happen to be superheros, or B) he's a spy for the enemy 👀 BUT!! the usual story: he falls in love 💀

The plot also includes such gems as Niko using his siren song to sing Joel to sleep 🥺, Joonas being happy about finally having a bed partner who doesn't die when he gets a little rough during sexy times 🥳, Tommi being sad about not being able to make proper eye-contact with his loved ones 😔, and one of the guys (who? 🤔) purposefully hurting himself so that Olli would "kiss it better" 😭
