i've been really fascinated by the aesthetics of medieval european illuminated manuscripts recently.... might try doing a couple full pages. maybe a transcription of eliza cook's song of the worm?

#my weak point is the writing; i don't know how to do calligraphy #and faking it with a normal felt tip is horribly time consuming + doesn't look that good #i think my options are either to a) Learn or b) print it out from a font generator & then trace/distress #i think i'd probably look at books of days for inspiration?#or wherever weird medieval guys on twitter gets their stuff from
