Disclaimer: this is romanticizing ab//se but I want to be clear that I do not in any way support that or find it endearing, this is only for entertainment purposes
Sanji, Ace, Zoro scenario- They slap you

Sanji
Tumblr media
Sanji stood frozen in place staring at your cheek that was now turning red. He looked at his hand like he had never seen it before. “Get out” Your voice was barely above a whisper but Sanji’s head shot up at your words. He fell to his knees sobbing as he pleaded “No, no please. I’m so sorry I don’t-“ “Get. Out. Sanji” you cut him off with your voice more firm this time. He searched your eyes for any trace of forgiveness or even joking. When he only found pain betrayal swimming in your once love filled eyes, he slowly stood and exited the girls room.
As soon as you heard the door shut your knees buckled and you let out a choked scream as you crumpled to the ground. The door opened and Robin and Nami ran in, they took one look at you and the mark on your face and immediatley knew what had happened. They pulled you into their shared embrace and rocked you back and forth while your tears soaked through their shirts.
Beneath, in the kitchen, the boys were harshly scolding Sanji, but it wasn’t their hits or words that hurt him, it was the sound of your screams and cries that had drifted down into the kitchen, it sounded like you were being tortured. Little did he know that’s exactly what it felt like.
That night Sanji sat on the deck of the ship, trying to drown himself in sake. His brain wouldn’t let him forget your face though, and he knew that he deserved the pain and so he gave in and let his thoughts drown him instead....
Forever she said we would be together
I promised her I would stay by her side and protect her
But will she still want me at her side when I’m the one she needs protection from
I promised to be with her till the the very end
I was supposed to be her lover but I did something you wouldn’t expect from a friend
I need to win back her heart
But what if what’s needed now is to part
Sanji had always thought he was different than his brothers, who had no problem laying a hand on a woman, but here he was. To say his heart was broken would be an understatement. Sanji wanted you back, but he doubted that you would have him. And so Sanji silently came up with a drunken plan: he would sit back and care for you from afar, he wouldn’t make a move, he would start over. Yes. Yes that would work. That would win back the hand of his princess.
But if it didn’t, he would dwell in memories of the time you loved him and the time he deserved at least a pinch of your love, while watching you smile because of another.
Ace
Tumblr media
Ace stared down at his hand like it had just sprouted 4 mouths. He heard you shift on the bed where you sat holding your reddened cheek. Ace looked up at you slowly and felt the crushing weight on his heart intensify- you looked at him like a deer caught in head lights. The innocent doe eyes that he loved so much were now filled with betrayal and looked at him like he was a monster. “I- I think I should go” Ace whispered not trusting his voice to talk regularly. You nodded and turned your eyes to the floor as he made his way out of your room and shut the door behind him.
Ace’s head spun as he made his way down the hall of the Moby Dick towards Marco’s room where he knew Thatch was as well. He knew they would yell at him and most likely hit him for hurting you so badly, but he wanted to feel the pain that he had inflicted on you. Sure enough as soon as he told Thatch and Marco what happened they started wailing on him.
He sat in silence with a bruised and bloodied face, accompanied by Marco while Thatch went to comfort you. Marco was the one to break the silence “What now Ace” Ace took a deep shaky breath “I try to win her back” he said this with a firm tone despite the deep rooted fear that it wouldn’t work. Marco nodded, he didn’t know if his friend would be able to win your heart back, nor did he know if his friend really deserved to. Ace was torn between the need to have you back, and the need to keep you safe from even him. If you showed no interest in getting back together, he would leave you be, knowing that he could still protect you from afar.
Ace passed your room on his way back to his, he could hear Thatch’s voice coming from inside. It hurt to know that he couldn’t go in to comfort you, but instead he had to have his friend do it instead. Ace felt numb, like anything he did right now would be useless. But tomorrow was a new day, and he would win your heart back. He allowed himself to wallow in his painful thoughts, and oh how heartbroken his brain was
If eternity is the time I must wait to regain your heart
Then I will wait all eternity
Because as the world crumbles away
My feelings for you are indestructable
I may always be trapped in this game
But as the sun rises and the stars shine
My feelings will stay the same
For without you I don’t know what to do
My only thought is to get back to you
But if all bridges have been burned and crossed
Our love may be lost
Ace would protect you no matter what, even if you no longer belonged to him and were now in the arms of another man.
Zoro
Tumblr media
Zoro felt his stomach turning as his handprint appeared on your cheek. The sight of your terrified eyes watching him for his next move scared him more than any enemy ever had. He felt disgusting. “I- I think you should sleep in the girls’ cabin tonight” Zoro’s voice was shaky as he looked anywhere but at you. You slowly got up and walked around him towards the door. You stepped into the girl’s cabin and collapsed on the floor clutching your cheek as Nami and Robin ran over to you. Nami was out the door in a flash leaving you in Robin’s arms while she went to find the swordsman.
After an hour Zoro had sustained beatings from the whole crew who now watched him judgingly as he downed another bottle of sake. He remained there until he heard a particularly loud sob from next door and his stomach finally gave up. He dashed out of the cabin and leaned over the railing of the ship, spewing the contents off his stomach into the sea. He slumped down against the railing as his mind wandered off
I know your love can’t hold on much longer
But this break will make us stronger
You own my heart
But I fear I may have lost yours
If you ever change your mind
I’ll be awaiting you
If you say friends is what we’ll be
I’ll hope for now
But the moment I hear your call
I’ll stand there waiting to end your fall
And if we’re meant to be
Your path will always lead you back to me
And I hope and I pray
That we are meant to be
Because I can’t live without you
For you’re the the only one for me
But if another catches you
Then I’ll have to lose
But your name will be the only one that I choose
Zoro knew he deserved the torture he was experiencing. But he knew it was nothing compared to what he would feel if he lost you, we he would take the slow and safe road for once so as to not scare you into the arms of another.

Platonic! Straw Hats x Teen! Reader » Continued. PT 2
Tumblr media
Request : Can we have more teen reader with the straw hats and they protect them and teach them things
Hi, do you mind if we get more platonic teen reader with the straw hats?
Is there going to be a part 2 of the teen reader and straw hat Pirates?
-
I FINALLY FINISHED. I didn’t realize how popular this would be, holy crap. This is the first time I had someone request for a part 2 for something, let alone 3 people. It feels kinda nice 😂
I’m trying to keep reader GN, but if I end up writing female pronouns or hints of a female reader, then I’m sorry :(
this might be in parts, ( should I turn this into a multi-fic? lol )
PART ONE | PART THREE
includes interaction w/ : Nami, Sanji, Chopper & Usopp!
Summary : continuation of life with the straw hats, as a teen. This time, they will get you to open up! >:)
-
“So, treat them nicely, okay?”
Nami’s sing-song voice fills the room as boys stare in surprise at the sudden appearance of the two girls and their younger crewmate.
You felt a little uneasy in the presence of the crew, their eyes lingering on you as you shifted you weight.
“Er.. im sorry for.. staying in my room a lot.. and.. for.. making you worry..”
Even though Nami already explained the reasoning for your actions, you still felt the need to apologize. However, when it continues to be silent, you feel yourself fidgeting with the hem of your shirt.
Then your Captain spoke. Well, laughed.
“Shishishishi!~”
Everyone turns to Luffy, who is grinning widely. “Apology accepted! Who knew you were just shy the whole time? We assumed you didn’t like us! Shishishi!”
Your eyes widen at him and you felt an embarrassed blush creeping up onto your cheeks as you look down to hide it. “I-I’m sorry.”
Robin places a gentle hand on your shoulder and smiles softly to the crew. “Well, now that we know the truth, why don’t you spend the rest of the day with us? One by one.”
“I like that idea.” Nami grins before glancing down at you. “Well? Who do you want to spend time with first, [Name]?”
You blink at her before looking around to see them staring expectantly at you, offering rather kind smiles to you, patiently waiting for an answer.
“..I don’t know..”
...
The others deadpan and sweatdropped at your response before Nami sighs softly. “That makes sense, you wouldn’t know where to start.”
Nami then grins. “Then, I’ll volunteer and go first! Sound good? No complaints? Great!”
“Hey! How come you get to go first and show [Name] stuff?!” Usopp points a finger at the navigator, narrowing his eyes as he frowns.
Nami simply sticks out her tongue and gave a childish expression. “Because I volunteered! Now let’s go, [Name]!”
Dragging you away with the pull of your hand, Nami pulls you off towards the aqua lounge despite the many protests, complaints and calls after her.
“W-wait, is this a good idea?.. I don’t—“
“Of course it is. You want to spend time with us don’t you?” The navigator smiles once you two enter and shut the door.
Now it was just the two of you, in the lounge.
“Well..” you trail off, still feeling awkward and perhaps a little bit nervous about all of this.
It was pretty sudden after all, just minutes ago you were in bed reading a book and now, you’re playing play date with your crew members.
Nami softens her smile and went over to the couch and took a seat, patting the spot beside her.
“I know this is a lot. We don’t have to do much but talk, and maybe get you to open up a little more. Tell me about yourself!”
Hesitantly, you nod and walk closer towards her, before sitting down beside her, turning your body to face her.
“...what do you wanna know?..” you mumble, Nami barely catching it but still heard it anyways.
“Anything about yourself. Your family, your life before you became a pirate, your favorite foods, hobbies, any crushes you might’ve picked up along our journey~” the navigator winks at you making you blush faintly at her, turning away with a sigh.
“I don’t have any of the sort.” You scoff lightly, closing your eyes but Nami wasn’t convinced. “Oh?”
“What about that pink haired marine? Koby, wasn’t it?”
You snap your head to her quickly, brows furrowed.
“Koby? Marine Captain Koby? I’ve hardly met him. Besides, he’s a marine. Even if I did like him, it wouldn’t work out anyways.”
You turn away once more, Nami grinning at how quick you responded and how much you talked just now.
“If Koby wasn’t a marine, would you date him?” Nami hums and you kept silent, though the red hue forming on the tips of your ears were enough for her.
“..he’s attractive.” You mutter and Nami giggles.
“Okay, okay, so then, how about any of the older men we met? Traffy isn’t that much older.” She thinks for a minute, her thumb and forefinger under her chin.
You raise a brow at her question. “You mean the Captain / doctor?.. Law?.. he seems.. really annoyed easily. He’s so frowny and never sleeps.”
“Not much different from someone else..” Nami sings under her breath making you playfully roll your eyes.
“I wouldn’t go for him either. He’s attractive, I guess, but... no. I think the fact that I’m in Luffy’s crew too, he might be pretty annoyed already.”
“I think it’s just Luffy in general.” Nami sighs and you smile a bit at that.
“Okay, how about that red haired one? Eustass “Captain” Kid?”
“Too violent.”
“Ace or Sabo?”
“Luffy’s brothers.”
“Perona? The Ghost Princess?”
“I don’t like her ghosts.”
“Vivi?”
“She’s gorgeous and rich, but no.”
“Tashigi?”
“She’s into Zoro.”
“Anyone from our crew?”
“We’re family.”
“Buggy?”
“You’re kidding, right?”
“Any of Sanji’s brothers?”
“They have no emotions.”
“Silvers Rayleigh?”
“A silver fox, but no.”
“Anyone in Whitebeard’s crew?”
“Izo is absolutely stunning .. and Marco seems really nice, I guess.. but no.”
“That empress, Boa Hancock?”
“She’s too into Luffy..”
Nami heaves a sigh as she leans back and crosses her legs, one over the other.
“So the closest one to your attraction.. is Koby.”
You shrug and smile slightly at her defeated look. “I’m not really into anyone...”
“Perhaps you’re just young. You’ll definitely be growing in some..” The orange haired female eyes your body for a good minute, making you shift. “..areas real soon.”
“Right.. what about you?”
“Huh?”
You shift in your seat and made yourself comfortable on the cushion. “Is there someone you like?..”
Nami blinks before looking up and thinking for a moment. “..I guess there isn’t.” She answers and you raise a brow. “I thought you like Luffy..”
The navigator seems offended at the statement, recoiling at the thought. “Luffy’s a huge pain in the ass. And besides, like you said, we’re a family.”
The corner of your lips tug upwards slightly. “And Vivi?”
This shut the female quick, and you can see the pink tint of her cheeks. “Vivi’s a friend.”
“Well, that friend, most likely shares the same feelings.” You hum, looking straight at her calmly. “I mean.. you’re very beautiful. Everyone would love you.”
Nami’s eyes widens at the unexpected compliment from you, her heart feeling warm at that, but you didn’t notice.
You didn’t realize how much you ended up talking, your voice felt dry and sore in a way. Though for some reason, you didn’t mind.
You kind of enjoyed this time with Nami, despite only talking about possible crushes of yours.
Instinctively, you rub your throat and Nami notices, standing up and offering her hand. “Come on, we can talk more later. You’ve talked enough, I’ll take you to Sanji.”
“Are you sure? I figured you’d want to spend more time together..” you clear your throat and Nami just smiles gently.
“We have everyday to do so. Besides, I’m sure it’s been a while since you talked so much so I’m happy enough with what you gave me.” Nami says, helping you up and began leading you out.
“Time for you to spend time with someone else, and don’t worry, I’ll make sure the others don’t force you to talk and Sanji makes you something to help your throat.” She assures, making her way back to the kitchen, which didn’t take long.
“O-okay..” you nod, eventually making it to the door and Nami just opens it up, seeing only a few of the members, so some must’ve left.
The four in the room look up at the door and find you, instantly smiling at the sight of your form.
“Already done?” Chopper questions in confusion and Nami smiles. “I would’ve spent more time with them but there’s so many of us, so we should make it short and easy for them for today.”
Robin, Brook, Chopper and Sanji nod in agreement at their navigator and Robin smiles gently.
“So, who would you like to spend time with next?”
Nami nudges you to speak in front of them and you turn to Sanji.
“Uh..Er.. Is it okay if I spend some time with you?..”
Sanji widens his eyes, clearly a bit surprised but nonetheless, smiles in joy. “Of course, [Name]-chan!”
Nami then ushers the others out, the only one to sulk being Brook but Nami was quick to slap his skull.
The door shut closed and you awkwardly stood there, shifting your weight. You never spent much time with them, despite fighting battles alongside the crew, so you weren’t sure what to do or say.
Sanji, noticing your discomfort, smiles lightly and gestures for you to sit at the counter as he stood behind it, in the kitchen.
“So, [Name]-chan. Is there anything you want to drink?”
You look around the dining room, taking a good look since this was one of the first times actually being in here.
“..Tea?.. my throat kind of hurts...” you mumble, reaching up to rub your throat again and Sanji nods. “I know the perfect thing! Ice or hot?”
“[ Either one ].” You answer, shifting in your seat and making yourself comfortable a bit in the stool and watched as Sanji quickly went to work.
Watching him silently from the counter, you lean on your palm and thought for a minute.
What were you supposed to talk about?
You hardly knew much about them and isolating yourself from them let you absolutely awkward and unsure of what to say or do, so you hoped Sanji would do something.
But the poor blonde cook kept silent, figuring that’s what you’d prefer as he made your drink.
So you had to do it.
“Sanji?..”
The blonde hums gently, letting you know he was listening.
“Uh...so.. what’s for dinner?..”
Sanji stays silent for a moment, taking in the hesitation in your voice before turning around to face you. “.. Anything you want, [Name]-chan. What do you want to eat?”
You ponder a bit at his question before feeling your stomach growling at the thought of a particular food. “..Can you make [ Food ]? It’s from my homeland and.. it’s really good.”
Sanji’s eyes lights up and he grins widely. “I’d be honored to make a dish native to your homeland, [Name]-chan!” He deflates a little bit and leans back. “However.. I’m a little worried I won’t be able to make it as good. I know I have the proper ingredients though, I’m sure.”
Sanji’s been studying on his own time, with the small assistance of Robin, knowing she was also studying up by gathering information from your island.
You offer a small smile as Sanji turns to take the drink he made and set it in front of you. “It’s okay.. I trust that you can make it even better.”
Sanji widens his eyes at the sudden compliment and encouragement, feeling his heart warming towards his younger crew member.
You take the cup in hand and brought it up to your lips, taking a light sip of the beverage.
“I see.. in that case, we shall have [ Food ] for dinner tonight.”
Your smile widens just a little bit at his announcement and you continue drinking before seeing Sanji still staring at you. “What is it?..”
“Would you like to help me?”
You pause in your movement, eyes wide at his question. “You want me to help you? I can’t cook.” You furrow your brows at the suggestion.
I mean, sure you had some BASIC skills, but nothing as extravagant compared to Sanji.
“I’d love to show you! Besides, I’m sure you can also offer me some tips and suggestions on your home dish.” Sanji grins assuringly, bringing a small, comforted smile to your lips.
“Okay.”
And so, after handing you a spare apron and letting you prepare yourself as he got the ingredients set, the two of you got to work.
Sanji moving towards the cutting board, you point to the vegetables set out by him.
“You should start cutting these up.. they should be bite-sized.” You inform, Sanji nodding and quickly cutting up the given ingredients with ease.
While Sanji finished with that, you began to look for the pots and pans and after finding what you needed, you did what you needed, ( whether it’s boiling water, filling a skillet with oil, etc. ) and set it onto the stove to heat.
“[Name]-chan, I can handle the stove. I don’t want you to accidentally burn yourself with the fire or the oil, so I’ll leave the cutting and mixing up to you.”
Nodding your head, you move aside and let him take your place before moving towards the cutting board.
‘.. how can you cut vegetables so beautifully?..’ you sweatdrop and began preparing what you needed to do before looking around.
Your eyes widen a little in remembrance and realization and you set the items down before heading to the rice cooker. You open the lid and find the pot empty and pulled it out, looking for the rice grains.
It didn’t take long to find it, fortunately, so you began to put in a few cups, and with the amount of food you were bound to make for Luffy, more than four was needed, obviously.
You did what you needed to, plopping the pot back into the cooker to cook the rice before going to the cutting board.
“Sanji, should we.. cook the meat first or cut it first?..” You trail off, unsure yourself as you went over to the fridge to find the meat.
The blonde cook ponders for a second before speaking. “It’ll be best if we cut first, so we can cook it all a lot quicker.” You merely nod in response as you pull out the required meats and brought it over to a new cutting board set up.
“Do you know how to cut them?” Sanji inquires, turning to you, which you nod in response. “I mean.. it’s just cutting it into smaller pieces. Right?..”
Sanji chuckles. “Yeah, in a way..” He lowers the flame on the stove so the oil/water can sit before moving to your side. “Here, let me show you.”
And so, with another cutting board and knife, he teaches you the correct and efficient technique, explaining which parts to throw and which parts to save.
“And then you cut them up into this size and set it aside to use. Did that make sense?” You nod at him, making him smile as he returns back to the stove.
Prepping yourself, you began to cut the meats into bite sized pieces, getting rid of the unnecessary parts and discarding them into the trash, exactly like Sanji had explained to you.
‘This feels nice.. cooking with Sanji.. even if we aren’t talking, it’s kind of, comfortable..’
The tiny curve of your lips move upwards as you thought silently, but distracted thoughts flooded your head as you no longer became focused on cutting.
‘Maybe, I should ask to cook with him more often.. it’ll be great to learn and spend more bonding time with him.’
You were so lost in thoughts, you forgot what you were doing and suddenly hissed in pain.
The sound was loud enough to catch Sanji’s ears as he widens his eyes and turns in a panic. “[Name]-chan! Are you alright?”
“Yeah, just a cut..” you poke at the blood, watching it drip down a bit quickly. ‘Guess I cut more of my skin than I think, by the looks of it..’ you frown.
“Let’s get you to Chopper.”
“H-Huh?.. but I’m fi-“
Sanji wastes no time to pick you up, as if you broken an ankle, and began carrying you over to the medical office.
An inaudible sigh escapes you, you relaxing in defeat as you thought about the medical office.
Sure, you’ve hurt yourself plenty of times before, nothing too fatal but enough to need patching up from Chopper. You were always up and out of the office pretty quickly, so you were curious to what the room even looked like.
“Chopper.”
Sanji knocks twice before opening the door with ease and walks in, seeing the little reindeer at his desk. “Sanji, [Name]! Something wrong?” The chirpy reindeer asks, a smile wide on his face.
“[Name]-chan’s hurt.” Sanji explains briefly, setting you down gently onto the bed and you turn to the little doctor.
“It’s just a cut.” You bluntly state, showing your finger and Chopper smiles lightly. “Nothing serious, at least! We should go wash and get it bandaged before an infection comes though.”
You nod and stand back up to head to the sink in the office, Sanji offering a weak smile. “I’m sorry, [Name]-chan. You got hurt because—“
“Huh?” As you stop in your tracks and turn back to face the blonde, you peer up a bit and shake your head. “It’s not your fault... I just got lost in my thoughts.” You murmured out, turning away.
You turn back to the sink and began washing your hands. “You should keep cooking, Sanji.. I look forward to you making [ food ].” You sneak a glance back at Sanji and held a ghost of a smile to him. “Cheer up, okay?”
Sanji widens his eyes at your expression, before he lets out a relaxed smile and light chuckle. “Yeah.. I’ll get to it then.”
With that, the chef left you alone with Chopper, who returns with his supplies.
“All cleaned up? Head on over to the bed and sit again!” Chopper smiles and waddles over to the bed before hopping up onto the edge.
You follow after the tiny man and sat across from him, holding out your finger.
Chopper, who kept silent to focus, began to clean up the cut with alcohol and wrapped your finger into a bandage.
‘Guess now is a good time to spend time with him..’
“So.. you came from Drum Island.. right?..” You internally sigh for being so awkward around them. Thankfully, they didn’t seem to mind.
“Yeah! It’s where I learned to study medicines from Doctorine!” Chopper excitedly claims, looking up from his task, which he finished.
“Doctorine? Oh.. you mean like your guardian?” You prodded at your finger a few times, seeing the wrapped bandage.
“Something like that. She taught me everything I know.” You nod at him and look to him. “Guess she must be a genius, since you know a lot. Right?”
Chopper widens his eyes at the compliment before waving you off with a scoff.
“Flattery doesn’t make me happy at all, don’t think you can fool me so easily~” Chopper sings, blushing as he danced on the bed.
Your eyes held a hint of amusement at Chopper as he calms down. “But you’re right. Doctorine is the best doctor I know.”
“I bet she is.” You stand up and dust your clothes, gesturing to your finger at the doctor.
“Thanks for patching me up, Chopper..” You watch the reindeer put on a wide smile and nods eagerly. “No problem! It’s my job!”
You pat his head lightly and nod, heading to the door. “I’ll get going then, see you later..”
With that, you exited the medical bay and shut the door behind you, wondering what you should do next.
‘Now what?.. Should i go back to Sanji to help?.. or should I find someone else?’
You wandered the upper deck aimlessly before making your way down to the main deck, where you found Usopp fumbling with something.
‘Hm. Usopp..’
You make you way over to the sniper, watching him suddenly jump up and cheer. “Eureka!” He hollers excitedly, startling you.
“Um.. did something.. happen?” You mumble, somewhat cautious as you step towards him.
Usopp jumps in fear when he hears you, before visibly relaxing and grinning determinedly. “Yeah, I finished my creation!”
He holds up his latest work, which seems to be an advanced archery bow.
The bow itself has an attachment that can carry arrows so you don’t require a separate bag, and it’s string seemed much more flexible to allow better accuracy and distance.
“Oh wow, that actually looks really cool..” you quietly awed, eyes widening in interest as Usopp chuckles eagerly.
“Right?! I’ve been working on it to better advance my stealth, since guns can be pretty loud, and slingshots can be tricky sometimes!”
He then smirks down at his bow and arrow in his hands and holds it up, readying an arrow upon the bow and aimed at the can that sat on the railing.
“But these bad boys are tipped with several of my ammo so I don’t need to grab the mini seeds anymore, since these arrows already have the affect!”
Usopp lets go of the arrow and it pierces the can with ease, knocking it into the ocean.
“Woohoo! Alright!” Usopp cheers, laughing hysterically. “Haha! I did it!!” He jumps around in joy, you watching with a slight smile. “Yeah.. you’re a brilliant inventor and sniper after all.”
Usopp pauses, eyes widening as he flushed a bit at the unexpected compliment, before snapping his head to you.
“You want to try, [Name]?” He smiles widely and held out the bow. “I can help you aim if you’d like!”
You thought for a bit before nodding, actually a little bit excited. “Yeah, sure. It looks really cool.”
Usopp felt his pride building up at your words and grins. “It is cool! Here, hold this and I’ll go set up the cans.”
Taking the bow, you inspect it closer with interested eyes. ‘I don’t remember the last time I touched a bow.. did I ever?’
Usopp returns quickly to your side and smiles, pointing to the cans. “Alright, [Name]. Now just hold up the bow, ready the arrow and take aim!”
You nod in understanding, steadying your arms and aimed directly at the center of the cans. Pulling back the arrow, you lined it up into position, going on Usopp’s count.
“Alright, and..... fire!”
You release your hold and watch the arrow shoot straight into the center and knocked itself into the ocean, like Usopp’s.
“I did it!” Your eyes widen and you smile to yourself. “That was awesome!” You turn to Usopp with bright eyes, but Usopp just laughs. “Nice shot!”
Usopp holds up his hands excitedly and you smile softer, hanging the bow onto your arm and high-fived him. “Yeah.”
“You sound like you’re having some SUUUPPERRR~ fun!”
The two of you turn to the source of voice and find Franky grinning at the two of you from below deck.
“Yeah, I just showed [Name] my latest creation and she just made a nice shot with my bow!” Usopp grins and Franky whistles. “Not bad, kid!”
The corner of your lips move upwards, a sheepish expression taking over your face. “Thanks..” you turn back to Franky and spoke. “What are you up to?”
“Ah, fixing something with The Sunny from down here. Almost done but it’s a little difficult, especially since I’m adding a new feature. Wanna check it out?”
You glance to Usopp, who nods that it was okay, and you return the bow, heading to Franky calmly.
“Yeah, sure.”

A/N : YAY, that took so long. I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I’m extremely excited to get to Zoro, Luffy and Brook’s interaction but unfortunately, I reached the limit so this is what happens, I’ll have to make a part 3. ;-;
Anyways, I’m so sorry for the long wait, I seriously hope this was worth the wait and that you look forward to the other’s interactions and then the final family interaction!! :DD have a lovely day/night, everyone ! <3

It’s weird
Synopsis: Drunk Zoro and mildly drunk Sanji have a conversation, that sober Sanji can’t seem to shake from his mind. It’s all weird, after all.
Also on A03: here
Sanji would say, he wasn’t sure what caused this. But that would a lie. He knew what caused this, he just didn’t think that that little thing - that happened two years ago by now - would still be relevant at this point. And okay, maybe calling it a ‚little thing‘ was a bit of an understatement, considering Kuma was a warlord but still. No need to bring it up again, really.
And to be fair to Zoro, he didn’t exactly bring it up, per se. He just had drank too much. And then admitted that he was worried sick about Sanji while he was in the hands of Big Mom. Which he wasn’t, he was in the hands of Judge and the Germa, thank you very much. But also, Zoro had used his name and not Cook, or some other insult. (Not that Sanji considered ‚Cook’ an insult, Zoro just had a very insulting way of saying it.) So Sanji was willing to take it as a compliment, instead of as the start of an argument like he usually did. He reassured Zoro that he was fine, and wouldn’t leave the crew again and that should have been it. But it was’t.
„You don’t get it“, Zoro had slurred and in retrospect, the slurring should have been a sign to end the conversation before it got out of hand. Zoro always drank so much, that slurring indicated he consumed an insane amount of whatever alcohol they had. (Sake, it was usually Sake.) And if it went to his head that much already, maybe having a conversation was a bad idea. But Sanji had some alcohol too - not as much as Zoro or he would be dead - so he did the stupid thing instead.
„What don’t I get?“, he inquired, and that was really the beginning of the end.
„I care about you. I wouldn’t fight with you all the time if I didn’t. You’re important to the crew, too. A great cook, food always tastes good. Shouldn’t have left in the first place. Would’ve kicked Big Mom’s ass, for sure.“
Rambling proved to be an even greater red flag than slurring. Zoro never rambled, Sanji should’ve been skeptical. Just as he never said nice things about Sanji. Or used his name. This whole evening was very surreal. And if Sanji had been the master of his senses, he would have stood up and went to bed, before it escalated. Maybe he could have poked fun at Zoro the next morning, and they could have fought it out, like they always did. That would’ve been funnier, at least.
„I care about you, too“, he said instead. It wasn’t a lie even though he always thought he would die before he said it out loud. (He did almost die at Whole Cake Island, but he willingly chose to ignore that.) But then he thought hell would open up and take Zoro down, before the swordsman would admit he cared for Sanji, and that didn’t happen either. Alcohol made their heart to heart somewhat more honest and way more uncomfortable. At least from a sober perspective.
„Nah, not like that“, Zoro disagreed. Thinking back on it sober - not that Sanji was even nearly as hammered as Zoro had been - this was where everything went down the drain. And he would love to blame it on Zoro exclusively but he couldn’t. Zoro might have opened Pandora’s Box, but Sanji was stupid enough to look inside, instead of slamming it shut, like he should have.
„Sure I do“, he argued,  „I care about you same I care about Luffy and any other crewmate. I wouldn’t regularly stock up on Sake if I didn’t.“
And that was it for Sanji. But it wasn’t it for Zoro.
„You don’t care like you care about Nami and Robin“, he mumbled. Zoro had actually mumbled. And that was so much more out of character than the slurring  or the rambling that at first, the meaning of the sentence didn’t fully hit Sanji.
But when it hit, it hit hard. Hard enough to make him choke.
And then, because maybe he really was the weak, sentimental fool Judge always thought he was, he said: „But I do. I would’ve died to protect you from Kuma. I don’t think I ever worried about someone more than I worried about you that day.“
Which wasn’t a lie. At least that was good. Or maybe it would have been better if it was a lie. Maybe then Sanji wouldn’t have been as confused and Zoro could have made a joke about it the next day. And then Sanji would have made a joke back and they would have fought and everything would have been normal.
Or maybe it would have been better if they had the chance to talk it out that night. But Luffy had immaculate timing as always and when the captain asked Zoro to eat with him, of course the swordsman agreed. And then, Luffy had realized that the food for their feast was almost out and made his way to the kitchen - Sanji’s kitchen - and Sanji went to defend their provisions from the captain, which effectively ended his talk with Zoro for the night. And for the next couple days. Which was very uncomfortable.
The Thousand Sunny was a great ship and it had a decent size for the Strawhats. But it was too small to avoid each other. Especially considering that Sanji’s workplace was also the place where the entire crew ate. And Luffy insisted on them eating together. Zoro did his very best to avoid Sanji during the day, probably in the crow’s nest if Sanji had to guess, and Sanji did his very best to spend as much time as possible in the kitchen, but they couldn’t evade each other completely. The bathroom was shared, as were the sleeping arrangements. It made not seeing each other effectively impossible.
Not to mention that the others caught wind, too. Which was to be expected, because usually their fights were regular, happened in the very least once a day, but they have been quiet for a few days now and no one knew why. Which might be not true, considering Robin had been throwing some knowing smiles his way for days now and as beautiful as Robin’s smiles usually were, this one unnerved him. He would take Chopper innocently asking if him and Zoro had a real fight this time over that any day.
Sanji sighed, looking at the last potato he had to cut before he would go to bed. Not matter how hard he would think about it, it wouldn’t change anything. He said what he said, as did Zoro, and neither of the two knew how to handle it. At least they had something in common.
A humorless laugh left him, as he began peeling the potato. And then he let it fell out of his hand when someone cleared their throat behind him. He quickly grabbed to again before he turned around to face Zoro. And then he fiddled with it, giving his hands something to do, while he waited for Zoro to speak. He’s seen someone look both as uncomfortable and as determined as Zoro did right now.
„Look, I’m sorry“, Zoro said and Sanji almost lost his grip on the potato again. He wasn’t sure what he expected exactly, but an apology wasn’t even on his radar. What was Zoro apologizing for, anyway?
„I - what?“, was his eloquent response and he stopped peeling now. For good measure, no need to cut himself, after all.
„It’s clear you didn’t understand what I meant that night. And that you very clearly understood the next morning. And that you’re uncomfortable now. I’m sorry I said that. Should’ve taken it with me to the grave like planned.“
Laughing probably wasn’t a good response to that. Sanji knew he would be deeply insulted if someone laughed at him, after he showed vulnerability like that. But he couldn’t help it. After days of nothing, of Zoro not even looking at him, that was what he got? It was comical.
But apparently Zoro, much like Sanji, was deeply insulted. Not that Sanji could blame him for that.
„Yeah, ha ha. Ain’t it funny Zoro has feelings? I got it, Cook.“
„No, wait please“, Sanji pleaded, still laughing, but trying his best to keep it in, „that was just really unexpected, please just give me a second.“
Zoro crossed his arms before his chest and huffed annoyed. But he wasn’t leaving, so Sanji did his best to reign in his laugh and calm down. The situation was serious, Zoro was serious and Sanji should be serious, too. So he took a deep breath, straightened his back and looked Zoro in the eye. Which normally would be the start of a fight. Now it just made this situation weirder.
„Sorry, this is just really different from our constant arguing“, Sanji tried to explain. Zoro raised an eyebrow but remained silent. What did it say about Sanji that he knew exactly what this raised eyebrow meant? He really knew Zoro all too well.
„It’s weird“, he said and Zoro hummed in agreement, which was a beginning, „and it’s probably even weirder that I don’t hate it. Talking to you that night was nice, I meant what I said. Which, I never thought about it, not like that, not as intense, but I definitely meant it when I said it. I care for you, which is not that weird, I care for everyone in the crew. But I care for you really deeply, more than usual and that might be the weirdest revelation I had in years. “
Zoro shifted his weight from one foot to the other and Sanji really wished he still had the potato in his hands. Anything to stop them from fidgeting. He didn’t really know what to say now, he said his piece but Zoro seemed to wait for something. Or maybe Zoro was thinking, too. Which was unusual, Zoro might not wear his heart on his sleeve like Luffy did, but he never shied away from saying his piece either. Sanji considered his potato once more, just to have something to do for his hands. And to not have to look Zoro in the eye.
„It is strange“, Zoro agreed eventually, „but I don’t hate it.“
And then he dropped his hands from in front of his chest and took a step towards Sanji. Just one, like he was scared Sanji would shy away. Which he wouldn’t, but he could appreciate Zoro’s concern. Which would have been insulting in another setting, but this was way different from any other setting the two had ever found themselves in. So he could appreciate it, and silence the little voice in his head, insisting that Zoro just implied he was weak. He knew for sure, that Zoro didn’t think of him as weak, after all.
And Sanji supposed he could meet him in the middle, so he took a step towards Zoro, too. And cupped the man’s head in his palm. And leaned in to kiss him. Which Zoro somehow managed to make into a competition for dominance. And then, when Zoro won and they parted for a quick catch of breath, he smirked triumphantly at Sanji.
That Asshole.

Trafalgar Law x reader
2k words
Warnings : angst (cute ending), description of violence, blood, near death experience
Sum up : (Y/N) suffered PTSD after Wano but she is not alone.
Cesar Clown, Donquixote Doflamingo, Big Mom, Kaido… The names of those Luffy came to fight always were powerful people. Not that you expected something else from your captain ; he promised himself to fight and win any of the Emperors. In your adventures you met great people, made friends and allies, unforgettable memories. But it always had to be through hard labour, sacrifice and pain.
That’s what came to your mind when your eyes landed on the Polar Tang sailing next to the Thousand Sunny in the dark night.
The moon was hiding behind the clouds and only the light coming from the different windows of both ships enlightened the deck, from where you were watching over the Sunny for the night. It was almost midnight which led you to stood you from your sit at the bottom of the main mat and took the direction of the library. There, was Chopper. Earlier in the evening, he had asked you to come tell him to go to sleep if he wasn’t already. And he wasn’t. The light of the library was still on, and coming closer, you heard him talking through the slightly opened door. Someone answered him, that person being Trafalgar Law. It didn’t surprise you much ; they turned out to spend a lot of time talking about medicine stuff together.
When you were close enough to see the both of them leaning above the same book and exchanging about whatever it was about, you knocked weakly on the door. Then opened it even without their permission. You felt a bit guilty to disturb them but it was Chopper’s request after all.
“Knock, knock, knock, Doctor Chopper. It’s time for the little reindeer to go to bed.”
Both of them raised their gaze to watch you leaning on the frame with a little smile for the younger doctor.
“Already ?” He pouted as his eyes went to the clock on the wall. “Do I really have to…?”
“Yes. You told me to insist if you were to refuse, remember.” He seemed to be even more sadden at the idea to interrupt this moment. “Do you want a glass of milk before sleeping ?”
“Hot with honey ?” His bubble eyes suddenly sparkled at the idea and you swore he drooled a bit.
“Whatever you want, Chopper.”
While Chopper was putting bookmarks to not lost his pages, you turned to the surgeon.
“What about you, Doctor Trafalgar-san ?”
First surprised, then smiling, Trafalgar nodded.
“Tea, please.”
You went to the sacred kitchen of Sanji and prepared the drinks for the three of you while they were tidying the library of their mess of books and flying papers. You had just finished pouring the tea in yours and Trafalgar's cups that they came in and sat at the table with you. The three of you drank and shared a few ideas about what your future adventures could be.
Chopper swallowed the last drops of his hot honey milk and jumped from his chair.
"Thank you for the milk, (Y/N)-chan ! Have a good night you too."
Trafalgar and you returned the courtesy as you waved at the boy. Chopper had just left the room that the surgeon's gaze turned back to you. You felt his piercing eyes followed your every move as you took a sip of your tea. You put the cup on the table and watched him back.
"What ?" He let out a snigger at your nerve.
"I was just thinking… Isn't that the third night shift in a row you're taking ?"
"It is. I have insomnia lately. The others may as well take advantage of it and sleep."
He stayed silent a bit, hesitant.
"By lately… you mean since Wano ?"
Your fingers on the cup tightened at this.
Your eyes stayed fixed on the wooden table before you as if it would help you to erase Trafalgar’s presence next to you, at the edge of the table. But it couldn’t. His piercings eyes were digging holes in your whole body so it was intense ; you always felt strange when his eyes were on you, but at the moment it was almost physically painful.
You put one of your hand on your neck where you knew he was looking.
“Yes… since Wano.”
Trafalgar looked around for a moment but he couldn’t help but let his eyes fell back on you. Your head was still low, facing the wood.
It pained him to see you in such a state. Sure the biggest part of the sorrow went away when your eyes opened after what felt like endless days of silence from you, but you were still suffering, and he hated it. He hated it more than when he had to admit himself he fell in with you.
It happened with the defeat of Kaido against the alliance. The power of the dragon wasn’t enough against the mischief of the monkey ; and the will of the D. The tyrannical oppressors Kaido and Kurozumi Orochi fell, but not all their subordinates yet sadly.
And you were the one to pay the high price.
You had finished your own fight not far from the place the captains fought against Kaido. Everyone was gathering Luffy’s way who successfully ending the fight with one of his craziest transformation. You watched from afar how he was thrown in the air by civilians. You smiled when you saw Trafalgar, Eustass or even Zoro being thanked by the folks and hated that.
Trafalgar, precisely… He saw you coming slowly their way. But he knew by your smile you were ok. You were safe.
Then it was as if time had stopped.
The whistle in the wind, that’s what Trafalgar heard just before actually seeing an arrow planted in the middle of your chest. Neither of you could hear the cheers around anymore. You were looking at the wood stick dug into your flesh and the cloth of your kimono tinted of the color of the poppy. Slowly you lowered your head, letting Trafalgar saw that another arrow had already hit you by slicing your neck, at your jugular vein. You were bleeding abundantly.
And time took up again.
Another arrow came in your right lung. And a last one in your stomach.
“(Y/N)-YA!”
Trafalgar’s shout attracted everyone else’s attention, especially the pirates’ ones who followed of their eyes, the way he was running to, just in time to grab on your falling body. While the other Straw Hats, full raged, were going after the archer, that turned out to be two living dogsbodies of the man you defeated, Chopper was fast to join Trafalgar and you.
“(Y/N)-chan ! It’s gonna be fine ! We’ll take care of y-!”
Chopper was interrupted by bloody coughing fits. With arrows in lung, stomach and trachea according to Trafalgar’s scan thanks to his room, the doctors expected it.
While the doctors were deciding how they would proceeded to save your life, you struggled to breathe. Your teary eyes were going from one to another. You couldn’t understand what they were saying from the pain… and the fear. The fear of dying. The hand Trafalgar kept tight around your neck in order to drop off the runoff from your vein felt warmer on your skin with every new second… or maybe it was because of your heated blood on his hand.
“(Y/N)-chan, don’t close your eyes !”
“(Y/N)-ya !”
It was the last thing you heard until days later when you finally opened your eyes. You were in the post-operative room on the Polar Tang, connected to dozens of beeping machines. You were still on Wano, on the shore ; but except for a farewell on the beach of the country, you didn’t get back inside the lands.
Since you woke up of your surgery, you hadn’t been able to sleep more than a few hours per night because of the nightmares. And this led to insomnia as you were afraid to dream again. It was always the same thing ; you were suffocating in your blood just like when you were that day.
“(Y/N)-ya… you need to sleep.”
“I don’t want.”
“It’s not about what you want, it’s about what your body needs. And you lack of sleep-” He stopped as you punched the table of your two closed wrists.
“I keep dreaming about my death. I feel like I am dying in every of my dreams.” You didn’t raised your voice but your tone was shaking and harsh. You turned to him, holding back your tears just like every time, and looked in his eyes. “You can’t understand !”
There was a blank.
Then he sighed.
“You really think I can’t understand ?”
They were different. His eyes. You always knew them with that flame inside ; lively, sly, holding a will to live. But it was not just that this time. You could feel he already went through hell. You guessed that the moment you met him, by his scars, his tattoos and that attitude of him - a shield to hide his true self. But it was different this time… You saw deeper inside of him.
“I’m sorry.” You lowered your head another time. But not long since Trafalgar covered your joined hands with one of them.
"Chopper and I were looking for a way to ease your mind. We found a few things. But the most important one is that you need to talk to us. I mean… me, Chopper or anyone you feel at least with." He took back his hand and stood up from his chair. "Think about it, (Y/N)-ya. And remember you're not alone."
The surgeon knew you would need time to process this and so he went back to his room on the sub. He put his notes on his desk and went to shower. He knew he was going with another restless night, so when he was done in the bathroom, he grabbed a few books of his shelf and got comfy on his bed.
An hour, then two, went by with him reading endlessly. He didn't grow tired.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
The soft knocks on his door were almost a murmur in the thick silence.
"Come in."
He expected someone of the night shift about something strange on the radar but it was you. Trafalgar frowned.
"I hope I am not disturbing you."
He shook his head no and signed you to come closer as he pushed his papers so you could sit on the edge of the bed.
"What can I help you with, (Y-N)-ya ?"
"I asked Zoro to take over from my nightwatch. Can we… can we talk ?"
He knew what you meant despite not saying it with words. For wordless answer, he moved everything from his sheets and took off the glasses he was wearing to put them on his bedside table. You didn't expect you would be talking to him by laying in front of him on his bed but it somehow felt soothing. It's probably what helped you talk about your feelings, about what happened and how you were since then. If he expected tears and difficulties to put words on your thoughts, there was none of it. You were clear and calm, even if he understood you once were stressed out.
"Do you think it will stop one day ?"
"The nightmares ?" You nodded. "It will fade for sure. Sometimes it may come back, and then the following night it would have disappeared again."
Trafalgar had noticed how you were slowly drifted to sleep by tiredness. And he didn't try to stop it.
"Sweet dreams, (Y/N)-ya…"
*
"I told the Strawhats she's there."
"Ok. We should let them sleep a bit more. Tell every to not wake them up."
"Aye."
Ikaku went away from Bepo as the white bear closed the door to Trafalgar's bedroom. He would probably never know if it was international or not but he was happy to see his captain deeply sleeping in the big spoon you were.

Hats (Heartstealers Can Get Jealous, Too)
At first, no one could figure out what was going on.
Oh, the crew was perfectly familiar with Nami wearing Luffy’s treasured hat; their captain occasionally entrusted her with it on windy days when he wanted to swing around the mast, or during particularly intense battles where the delicate straw might get damaged. Sometimes, even when there was no danger in sight, it could still be found atop her mikan locks as a silent show of how much he valued her. So, when he plopped it on her head one night during a party with the Heart Pirates, no one batted an eye.
No, what raised eyebrows was Law’s response.
It was that same night. She coaxed him and a few others to join her in a game of strip poker. Nami was damn good at the game, but Law was holding his own while Jean-Bart and Brook were already down to their skivvies. Still, she’d managed to get a winning hand against the Heart Captain, and he rewarded her by replacing Luffy’s hat with his own.
“Shishishi! Looks good on you, Nami!” Luffy said from his perch atop the bar. He was pleased to see his new friend and his nakama getting along so well after their rocky start. She spent a lot of time with the Heart crew as of late, especially Law. He’d been worried for a while, what with the tension that had been between them, but it was now clear that the surgeon had developed some affection for the navigator, and in turn had earned her much-coveted trust.
Law’s eyes lit up with mischief as he smirked at his fellow Supernova, tossing over the wide-brimmed hat. It had been driving him crazy all night, seeing his good-natured rival’s trademark atop his woman. At this point, it was an open secret that the Cat Thief and the Surgeon of Death were sleeping together, even if they weren’t public about it. The flirty banter at times like these was proof enough to the more astute members of the two crews. “That it does. Much better in mine than yours, eh?”
“Maybe you should join the Heart Pirates, Nami!” Shachi joked, clearly a tipsy from drinking with Zoro. “I’m sure Law would trade Bepo for you!”
“Hey!” the bear said anxiously, glancing between the two captains.
“Why trade when I could have both?” the dark doctor chuckled, giving his navigator a reassuring smile.
“Don’t you think I should have a say in this?” Nami groused, rolling her eyes.
Leaning forward, he gave a devilish flash of teeth. “I think you’d look damn good in my crew’s uniform.”
Before she could argue that those boiler suits weren’t cute at all, Luffy, who had remained uncharacteristically quiet throughout the exchange, piped in with a wide grin, “Nami would look terrible in your uniforms, Tora-o! And sure, she doesn’t look bad in your cap, but the navigator to the future Pirate King looks best while wearing a straw hat.” Long arms stretched out to embrace the woman, pulling her over to him, the rubber man chuckling as she protested being yanked around without warning.
The scowl the surgeon gave at his rival’s declaration did not go unnoticed by the rest of the room. “We’ll see about that,” he rasped.
After that, anytime the two crews ran into each other, Nami found herself in the middle of a figurative tug-of-war between captains. The second the yellow submarine surfaced beside the Thousand Sunny, Luffy’s straw hat would be on her head. It never failed to make the Surgeon of Death scowl, and within an hour, the mikan-haired navigator would be sporting Law’s fuzzy white cap. If she spent the night with her lover, he wouldn’t let her leave the submarine unless she was wearing his trademark accessory in full view of her crew. Typically, though, Luffy would just laugh it off and switch it with his once she was back on her ship, giving Law a shit-eating grin.
It wasn’t long before the cartographer finally had enough.
“You two are so immature!” she snapped as Law snatched the wide-brimmed hat off her head, unceremoniously plopping his atop her orange locks. Earlier, Luffy had practically lassoed her with his elastic arm, twisting it around her until she had no choice but to let him adorn her with his straw treasure. Since then she’d been hiding in her mikan grove, hoping to avoid being part of this ridiculous display of one-upmanship while tending to her trees, but clearly, neither captain planned on letting her off the hook. “Really, this is the dumbest dick-measuring contest I’ve ever seen, and I live with Zoro and Sanji-kun!”
Her ally/not-boyfriend crossed his arms. “It is not. Maybe I just like seeing you in my hat.”
She rolled her eyes. “Or maybe you just don’t like seeing me in Luffy’s.”
“It’s possible, but unlikely.”
“Just admit you’re jealous.”
“I’ll do no such thing because I’m not.”
Cocking her hip, she gave him a sultry grin. “Then you wouldn’t mind if I wore a straw hat it all the time. Like, maybe to bed?”
His low, threatening growl was all the answer she needed, and she turned back to picking her precious mikans. “It’s a hat, Tora-o-kun! Luffy’s always let me wear it because he knows I’ll keep it safe.”
“Or he’s staking some sort of claim.”
“Not everyone’s a possessive freak like you. More likely, this is just a game to him. A stupid, ridiculous game that you’re both stubbornly refusing to lose.”
Far from appreciative of her insults, Law leaned against one of the trees. “Well, if you’re so annoyed by it, why haven’t you told him to stop?”
“Oh, believe me, I will—violently—but I figured you’d be the more reasonable one. Guess I was wrong.”
She heard him sigh as he approached, wrapping muscular, tattooed arms around her waist and resting his chin atop the fuzzy hat. “I think Mugiwara-ya has feelings for you,” he grudgingly admitted.
Nami actually laughed. “The only thing he feels for me is friendship. He’s a reckless dunce, but loyal and affectionate to the people he considers nakama.”
Ordinarily, he’d agree, but the conversation he’d had with the Straw Hat captain many months ago haunted him. “He’s protective of you.”
“You’re just as protective of your crew. After Zoro, I’ve known Luffy the longest; if either of us had been interested, don’t you think one of us would have made a move by now?”
“I still don’t like it.”
If this were coming from Sanji-kun or anyone else on her crew, Nami would have smacked him upside the head. But Law was different; he was stubborn and more childish than he’d ever admit, but she also knew it was difficult for him to admit he was feeling even slightly insecure. Instead, she craned her neck to kiss the underside of his jaw. “Well, I’m sure he didn’t like you talking about me joining your crew. You did threaten to kidnap me before, remember?”
Humming in consideration, his fingers absently stroked her sides. She had a point; after their first confrontation, Luffy had loaned her his hat as a silent promise that she was safe with him. Even if it was obvious that Law and Nami were involved, that didn’t mean her captain was wrong to be wary. Heck, maybe he was trying to show the navigator was under his protection, so Law had best not use her or break her heart. It was a fair concern; neither were particularly open with their feelings and hadn’t put a label on their relationship. Labels were tricky; the second you named something, it means you’re attached, which made it more painful when it was ripped away. Casual sex was easy, with no attachments or expectations.
However, the past few weeks had shown Law that he was in far deeper than he’d realized, otherwise something as simple as a hat wouldn’t bother him. “You know, we never really talked about us being exclusive,” he murmured, brushing his lips against the blue swirl on her shoulder.
“No, I guess we haven’t.”
“I haven’t been interested in sleeping with anyone but you.”
“Me neither.”
Unbidden, a tiny sigh of relief escaped his lips. “Then, I suppose this would be considered something of a monogamous relationship, right?”
Nami’s shoulders shook slightly with gentle laughter. “Are you just asking because you’re scared I’ll leave you for Luffy?” she teased.
“I’m asking because I figure we should establish what we are before I make any further assumptions.” He wasn’t quite ready to put a label on what they were, but this was a small step in the right direction. Pirates were naturally selfish, greedy, and possessive; of course he’d want such a gorgeous jewel to himself. If he couldn’t steal her away, the least he could do was ensure no one else would, either. Besides, it was smart to take things slow; Nami valued her freedom and likely wouldn’t want to be truly tied down just yet.
Twisting in his hold, the beautiful cartographer draped her arms around his shoulders, teasing the short hairs at the base of his neck. “We’re exclusive, but I reserve the right to flirt for the sake of stealing wallets.”
Tattooed hands played with the strings of her bikini top. “Fair. I reserve the right to pin you to a wall afterwards and remind you why you’re my woman.”
Shivering in delight at the heat in his voice, she nodded, nimble fingers deftly unbuttoning his shirt. “I suppose I can live with that. You can be pretty sexy when you’re jealous.” She wrinkled her nose in thought. “Well, not always. Lately it’s been a turn-off.”
He rolled his eyes. “Fine. I’ll stop replacing Mugiwara-ya’s hat with mine. You’re right—he probably just thinks I’ve been playing some stupid game.” Reaching down, his strong hands squeezed her bottom as he nipped her ear. “In the end, I’m the real winner, because I’m the one that gets to see you naked.”
Pink dusted her cheeks, both in arousal and slight embarrassment. “Well, there was that one time in the baths in Alabasta…” She snorted at his glare. “What? I charged him and all the other guys 100,000 belli each for peeking. You’ve been getting it for free!”
Groaning in irritation, Law summoned his room, teleporting them both into his sub so he could make good on his promise to remind the orange-haired vixen why she was his woman.
XXX
Two hours later, the pair returned to the ship, Law’s hat perched on his own head while the woman beside him now sported an oversized black and yellow hoodie, the Heart Pirates’ jolly roger grinning merrily across the front. The sleeves fell over her knuckles and the bottom hit just past mid-thigh; it was really more like a dress than a top on her, though it still hugged her chest enticingly.
Beaming at the sight of them, Luffy waved eagerly, straw hat back in its rightful place. “There you are! Where’s you two disappear to?” Head cocked to the side, he studied his navigator, the tiniest of frowns tugging the corners of his lips. “You weren’t wearing that earlier.”
The surgeon smirked down at his lover who was rolling her eyes in exasperation. “Oh, her top got a little ripped, so I loaned her my hoodie. Is that a problem, Mugiwara-ya?” he asked, eyebrow raised in challenge. “After all, I’d hate to return my woman to you naked.”
Silent, Luffy stared at them for a moment before breaking out in a huge, goofy grin. “Nope! It sure was nice of you to do that, Tora-o! See, I knew you were a good guy.”
“Yes, he’s an absolute saint,” the cartographer said dryly. “I’m going to go change. If Sanji-kun sees me, he’ll be too busy crying or trying to kick your ass to make dinner.” Aggressively, she poked her lover’s chest. “And don’t think loaning me this doesn’t mean you don’t owe me a new top! Next island we land on, you’re taking me shopping.”
“But you look so cute in my clothes,” Law chuckled, gold eyes hooded and inviting. She really did look damn good; if he ever did kidnap her, she definitely wouldn’t be wearing his crew’s boiler suits.
“I don’t care! It’s way too hot for long sleeves.”
“If you want, you can borrow my shirt, Nami,” her captain offered, already starting to shrug off his perpetually unbuttoned red vest. There was no way he was going to let something as stupid as Law’s hoodie keep Sanji from making dinner!
Scowling, Law fought the urge to throttle his ally. At this rate, he was going to either have to parade Nami around in a shirt with “Property of Trafalgar D. Water Law” printed in big, bold letters, or tattoo his jolly roger onto the woman.
Luckily, she wrinkled her nose at the offer. “Ew, after you’ve been sweating in it all day? No thanks! Actually, when was the last time that thing was washed? I’m pretty sure that food stain’s at least a week old.”
The rubber man pouted. “I wouldn’t get stains on it if you let me eat shirtless.”
“You also wouldn’t get stains if you didn’t eat like a barbarian!”
“Ace ate shirtless all the time!”
“Your brother did everything shirtless!”
As his rival and the navigator argued, Law leaned against the ship’s railing, settling in to enjoy the show. Maybe he should cut Luffy some slack. Nami didn’t give her loyalty lightly; Straw Hat was her captain, hard-won through determination and blood. Law would never be able to compete with that. But despite that bond and history, Nami chose the dark doctor as a bedmate and was satisfied enough to consent to being his woman. Perhaps that knowledge was why, when Luffy grabbed her in a bear hug, plopping his hat onto her head with a joyous laugh, Law didn’t feel the rage he had before.
Or maybe he was just more forgiving because she was still wearing his shirt.
X
Just an FYI, this chapter is going to relate to a Luffy and Nami friendship fic (that’ll still have LawNa goodness, so don’t worry) I plan on publishing, so keep an eye out for that! Please leave me a review here or on AO3 so I know the LawNa ship still has a crew!

to unite;
[ao3]
three times they slipped out of each other, one where they finally twined, another where they are separated again, and the moment they finally unite.
They were always so contrast with each other. Similar to cat and dog, or the day and night. Yet, everyone knew- especially themselves, that they can’t live without each other; that they complete each other.
All in the same time, they’re corresponding to each other.
The idea to live without Zoro perplexed Sanji. The green-haired idiot almost killed himself during their last encounter with a Shichibunkai. Everyone was pretty much knocked out during the situation, and the bastard had the nerve to knock Sanji out during such crucial moment.
Sanji understood why Zoro chose to do what he did. To hear from others of what they witnessed, he understood completely. It’s a feeling, and not something that can be expressed in words. They were never here to play pirates; they were here to be pirates. Life, death, and sacrifices are common occurrence. Sanji understood Zoro so much that it hurts.
There’s this pang of pain in his chest that don’t cease to go away, and it hurts. They had partied all night for their victory and new companion, and he was more than aware to never to mention the incident to anyone else in the group. But, Zoro… Zoro… he needs to talk with him.
As he stepped into the infirmary, Sanji’s eyes naturally scanned at Zoro’s still body to find him deep in his sleep as ever. He sat down next to the bedside. The room was still and silent. An unlit cigarette was dangling still in between of Sanji’s lips as he waited, until the sleeping figure has finally stirred with a groan.
“Hey,” he called, once Zoro has sat up on his bed and holding his head. Almost naturally, he turned his gaze towards Sanji.
“What are you doing here?” It was a useless question; he already knew the answer to that.
“Just making sure you’re not dead.”
The blond handed him a glass of water, and the two returned into silence. There were these unspoken lines in their throats regarding the last events- none of them came out.
“Aargh,” Sanji ruffled his hairs, looking down to avoid Zoro’s gaze as he curled into himself. “Why is this so hard?” He said out loud, more to himself. Zoro didn’t answer, his gaze was still and silent.
“You,” Sanji began. “You- why did-” no, he didn’t mean to ask that- he knew. “…You knocked me out.” He rephrased that.
The other man took a sip from his drink before responding, “…You would do something stupid if I didn’t,”
“Yeah, I know. You didn’t have to do that,” Sanji replied, “…for me.”
Zoro didn’t reply.
“You could always have me fighting him- or with you, or… whatever-” Sanji uttered. “You didn’t have to knock me out to miss out the whole thing. You made it looked like you really cared.” He cared, he always does.
“Cook,” Zoro wanted to say, but Sanji continued.
“You never showed you care before,” And I never showed you this side before, either. “You were always so subtle, so silent, so quiet… And you are always been there. You always looked out for everyone, for me. You always spat things at me, fight me. We are drawn together but we never get along. You became a part of my life, I kept thinking about you. And after the whole fiasco, I can’t ever stop thinking about you,”
Sanji buried his face further to hid, “…It’s almost like I fell in love with you or something.”
Sanji’s face was certainly red, even if he didn’t show it. Zoro was struck by those statements. He had expected Sanji to come and talk with him, but never to expect any sort of love confession with it. Silences befall between the two once again.
Awaiting for Zoro’s reply seemed like forever, and Sanji believed he could’ve burst out of the embarrassment he spent while saying all of those.
“I’m sorry,” Zoro replied, without ever once looked at Sanji’s direction. “I needed some space,”
“I’m sorry for the interruptions,” Sanji stood up upon hearing Zoro’s response, promptly leaving the room.
But, what is this pain that won’t go away in his chest?
“Shit.”
Separation took place before any of them could do a thing to it. They were busy fighting for their lives.
2 years was a long wait, nonetheless. All of them tried to enhance in their skills, preparing for the bigger war.
Sanji tried to bury down all of those emotions in all those 2 years. There was no way for them to ever become a thing, he told himself. But why, out of all of those shitheads, fate had to be so cruel to make him the first person he encountered in this soapy reunion island?
Try to act as usual. “You’ll cause more trouble if you wander off! Stay still, damned Marimo!”
“Why should Number 7 order around Number 1, anyway?”
“Why are you ranking us in the order of our arrival? You just happen to be first by chance! Don’t get carried away!”
Maybe he forgot all about that, Sanji thought to himself.
“Sorry, Number 7.”
“I’ll fight you!”
And just like that, the bickering started again. Clashing between swords and the end of shoes sparked again after those long 2 years, it felt so natural. They were back again, they were bickering again. It almost felt like nothing had ever happened- as if they were never been separated in first place. Bodies moving and clashing, almost like belonged to be with each other.
They could care less about the world around them- making the world theirs. They continued clashing and fighting, forgetting everything- until their body signalled it was time for them to catch some breath and rest.
Zoro and Sanji stopped their sparring for a moment, catching breathes. Through their visible eyes, they looked at each other. The look of annoyance still visible in both of their faces.
“You have improved a bit, you third-class swordsman.”
“You have learned some idiotic kicking skills, yourself.”
“What did you say?”
They continued.
It took a while for Zoro and Sanji to fulfill their need to blow some stream- how they really missed this.
Just on cue, a ring from Den Den Mushi put a hold into their sparring. It was Franky, informing that there were marines on their way. The next thing Zoro and Sanji knew, they were already returned into sitting and chilling with each other. Their reunion fight was long forgotten.
If there were anyone who could turn from best friends into rivals and then back into best friends, Zoro and Sanji were one of those kinds.
It’s crazy how everything was back just like the old days in mere seconds.
“Hey, Cook.”
“Hm?” Sanji turned his attention to Zoro, now that the Den Den Mushi call was off.
Zoro’s face was straight and calm, “It’s been two years.”
“Yeah, it is.” Sanji replied shortly. It’s been quite a while; for them to meet again, for them to be at peace again. Sanji turned his gaze away from Zoro, taking a look at the place they were currently in: Sabaody Archipelago- it doesn’t look much different since the last time they were there.
Grooves and bubbles with a lot of people. Everything brought back the memories. It was quite a sight to be looked at.
“It’s been two years,” Zoro stated again.
“You don’t have to repeat that,” Sanji said, this time turning to look at Zoro’s face. He noticed Zoro’s face was unchanged from how it was. However, he began to sense the air and tense it was giving.
“Two years,” Once he was sure he got Sanji’s attention, Zoro spoke out. “About that-”
Before he could continue further, a huge explosion could be heard from the other side of the island. People were staring agape in surprise. Some of the marines began running to collect at the spot. Both Zoro and Sanji gritted their teeth, began to have guesses on what was happening.
“It’s Strawhat! Strawhat’s here! Collect immediately!”
“…Shit,” Bingo. “Luffy always have to create some big mess, doesn’t he?”
The two immediately run to the source of explosion, thus dropping their conversation off.
Zoro was bewildered.
The Cook was… not himself.
No, of course he always is- but not in that matter.
The Cook was… Nami. And Nami was Franky. Franky was Chopper, and Chopper was Sanji- not that Zoro is going to admit that he looked ridiculously cute when Chopper inhabited his body. How did it was happening again? Torao, that guy with his weird Devil Fruit power caused this. Also, who was this guy whose head was chopped off of his body, and apparently is the owner of this lower body they found?
Scratch that. All of those other details are unimportant- how long will the Cook stay in that body?
Zoro had wanted to go out to the island, but he was originally planning to talk with the Cook in the private to talk about some unfinished business. That, is something he couldn’t do when the Cook is awkwardly focusing on Nami’s body- or having a guest and a (possible) fight to face off soon. Knowing Luffy, the latter would come true whether he liked it or not. Not that Zoro was one to back off from any challenges.
Perhaps, he shouldn’t think about it for the time being and just let the Cook be. He could always approach him later, when the situation was better for both of them. Zoro decided to mind his own business.
“By the way, can I see your panties?”
“Of course! Let’s get a camera!”
“Wait!” Nami(in Franky) yelled at Sanji and Brook, who began to leave the group in search for Kinemon’s body part. She turned to Zoro with a glare, “Zoro! You’re going with them!”
“Huh?”
Being next to Sanji(while in Nami’s body) was the last thing Zoro wished for at that moment. The Perverted Eyebrows won’t ever leave his Love-Cook state at this point, much to Zoro’s dislike. Perhaps he could go and get it over with. After all, Nami’s wrath(and debt interest) was much scarier. Maybe he could wish for some peaceful time- without interruption in the next island.
Whenever Zoro ran off, Sanji was always there to make sure he comes back in one piece. This time was no different, the swordsman was chasing after his missing sword- and Sanji, ran after him to make sure he didn’t stray off as much.
Dressrosa was a big place. By running around, Zoro and Sanji easily got separated from Luffy and the others. Many people have heard that Dressrosa is a country of love, passion, and toys. The country does have that ambiance running through it. Chasing a fairy was not that easy, and the two men took a quick break to catch their breath.
“Marimo, wait up!”
Zoro has stopped running, but he was still looking around. “Don’t tell me what to do, Love Cook.” Catching some more breathes. “I’m not going to waste time here.”
“You could use a little patience, moron.” Sanji snapped. “You are never one to wait for anything you wanted.”
Waiting? Zoro was tired of waiting. How long had it been since he has been itching to talk with Sanji, to give him the answer he deserved. It felt like forever. How much he had been longing to tell him, to meet him, to see him again.
Two years. Two years and a little bit. He had been waiting. Waiting to see Sanji, to be with him again.
“You are not the one to talk about patience here.” Zoro snapped back. “I’ve been waiting enough, Cook.”
“Waiting for what?”
Zoro was tempted to answer the question. It could be the worst kind of timing ever existed to say all of these, but he didn’t care. Zoro didn’t care anymore. There was nothing romantic or special, and the Cook could complain all he wanted- but he was Roronoa Zoro; and it was between Zoro and Sanji. And maybe, they never needed any of those to begin with.
So, Zoro decided to give in into that feel- the temptation to tell the Cook how he truly felt.
“I also liked you.”
Just like how he fell into this feeling called ‘Love’.
Silence.
“…What?” Sanji blinked, confusion was written all over his face.
“Two years ago,” Zoro told him. “You confessed to me two years ago, and I told you I needed to think.”
Memories flashed before Sanji. He did confess to Zoro on that day, right before they leave Thriller Bark. He had buried those memories a long time ago, thinking Zoro didn’t want him the same way he wanted to be with him. He always had assumed Zoro has forgotten about the incident, and the confession. Sanji was convinced that he didn’t want anything to do with him.
Upon remembering all of those, and realizing Zoro’s answer, Sanji’s face reddened. He didn’t say anything, nor could he bring himself to utter a word or two. He didn’t expect any answer from Zoro- moreover, at such a moment.
Noticing Sanji’s response to his long-awaited answer, Zoro couldn’t help but to grow a little red. It was starting to get awkward. “…Did you change your mind in those two years?”
“…N-N-….No.” Sanji finally managed to say, “My feelings for you are still the same,… It’s just-” He blushed even deeper. “I didn’t… expect you to answer-”
Zoro wondered how red would he be in bed.
A kiss after 2 years.
To embrace the other felt like nothing they imagined.
It was weird to be with a man, especially in this twisted toys country. But neither of them cared. After two long years, those long-awaited feeling was finally returned. After those two long years, they could finally be together again, see each other again, spar with each other, to finally able to love and returned, hug, and be whole.
They were finally a thing. It was awkward and rushed. Their first kiss was rough, yet soft. Their embrace was strong and comforting. There was nothing sweet or special, but they never cared, because they finally were together, to tie their tie.
Their moment together was cut short when a glimpse of sword sighted in the corner of the roads, and then they were back on the run.
And it was not romantic at all.
But no one cared, because it was just how they are. And there was nobody else in the world who could ever be like them.
Just when they were finally together, they had to separate yet again. Zoro was more than excited to see the Cook again. The idiot had to go off for his own business with the others while himself and the rest were busy with Doflamingo.
He wanted to meet him again, embrace him. They never had a proper chance to go out as a couple ever since they got together.
“Any sign of Eyebrows?” Zoro asked.
“No, not from here at least.” Usopp replied from the top.
Zoro grumbled, hoping the situation is not as bad as he thought.
Sanji was distressed. The Vinsmokes taking him was the last thing he ever wanted from the whole universe. On top of that, a marriage. Shit. Everything was so ruined. He just finally got together with Zoro and suddenly he had to deal with the whole “family” situation. He was sure claimed himself as a Ladiesman, but he was not one to marry a girl she never knew beforehand. Moreover, Sanji is a loyal man.
He could breathe out a little sigh of relief that his so-called “family” never find out his relationship with Zoro. Considering it was recent, after all. However, he was still not pleased with the fact that they were holding Red Leg Zeff as a hostage.
Sanji was tired, Sanji was sick. He wanted nothing more but to return home and continue on his journey. The thought to succumb into his death had crossed his mind a few times, but he was never been the one to give up. Yet, he didn’t know- he didn’t know what to do anymore.
Sanji thought that;
By giving in into the marriage he could save everyone. Even if that meant he had to give up on his dreams.
Even if that meant he had to give up on himself.
Even if that meant he had to give up Zoro.
Shit.
He had been violating so many rules he put into himself. He insulted and beaten Luffy, he ignored Nami to receive her anger and sadness; he had dragged so many people down with him. Sanji thought he could never forgive himself, and he wanted to give up.
Why did he find himself out in the rain, carrying a basket for Luffy?
Maybe he hasn’t gave up hope after all.
“Tell me how you really feel!”
A smack from Luffy was all he needed- to remind him that he was worth; to remind him that he could make it; to remind him he was not alone.
“I want to go home to Sunny!”
As ever, Luffy’s so-optimistic smile was coming out. It began to calm down the storm inside him.
And suddenly he believed that maybe, he could go home again.
That he can go chase after his dreams again.
That he could see Zoro again.
It took two years, and a few months.
To see each other like chasing a far-off dream.
They finally could see each other again. To bicker, to touch, to embrace.
It was two years and a few months, but they finally could be together again; to be whole again. They were each other’s dream.
Three times they slipped out of each other, one where they finally twined, and another where they were separated again.
And then, the moment they finally unite.
Future Pirate King’s ship was sailing over the seas of New World. Raftel was their final destination.
Aboard the ship, Straw Hat Pirates were home, sailing to chase their dreams without a care.
On aboard, a green-haired swordsman and a blond cook were staring out to the sea. Their hands intertwined, living their dream without a care.
Usopp approached and decided to ask the couple, “You two… When did you get so close?”
Upon hearing the question, other pairs of eyes and ears busy themselves join the conversation.
Under any normal case, any of them would’ve shrugged off the question.
“We’re dating. It’s normal.”
“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH??????!!!!”
Surprise echoed from the entire ship.
“It’s been a while, to be honest.”
“But how? And when did you two start dating?”
“Why didn’t you ever tell us?”
“We just got together and never got the chance to.”
“Yohohoho~ If you told me sooner, I would’ve sung a love song for you.”
“That’s soooo suuuuuuper!”
“Congratulations,”
“I never would’ve guessed it! Zoro, Sanji!”
Under any normal case, either of them would’ve tried to hide the relationship.
“Shishishishi! Let’s have a party!”
But they have had enough- enough of waiting and longing. And they were happy.
Because after the long wait, they were finally united.
