finally hyped myself up to read kiyomiya nao no baai yesterday! too lazy to type out all my thoughts so i will just immortalise my raw reactions before they are lost into the void too thumbs up emoji

#“too lazy to type out” like HA that is a LIE i’m never too lazy to talk about anything ever #it’s just that the comedic value goes up when i say that and then mega dump in the tags #or at least i find it funnier Whatever anyway i spent a lot of time last night thinking instead of sleeping #i think even tho i do not agree with or like the way nao went about things i guess i do understand why he acted so aggressively #i just like it when characters repress their feelings and do not confess bc they’re scared of ruining friendships and nao kinda served that #except we don’t really see much of him pining for ritsu like i feel like he basically came in swinging ready to confess #understandably its bc despite years of being patient and supportive this is the first time his chance at love is being threatened by takano #but im just not a fan of how pushy and forward he is in asserting himself and putting down others to .. even if i understand Why #which is why i was comparing him to asaka the other day (oh no here we go asaka talk in an unrelated post AGAIN #NO BUT LIKE nao and asaka are really similar in how they both have a dead loved one that shapes their approach to life and then #i remembered how they both have a line about continuing to love ritsu/wataru but somehow it’s just DIFFERENT #i know im being hypocritical when asaka has also sort of forced himself (self-awareness!) but still it’s like #that one line wataru had about feeling like asaka was allowing him to take off at any time living rent free in my head #but anyway i think it’s how asaka is always so respectful and represses himself and FUCKINGGG #never puts others down to give himself a leg up like i really really like that about him #but then again he’s coming from a different place from nao who saw ritsu at his worst from takano so #is it really fair to compare them ? idk but tbh nao isn’t that bad #i’ll give him a few rights bc i do understand his urgency and the grip ritsu has on him it’s just man ... ur execution could be better!#also the way he’s been subtly flirting with ritsu with the whole “we’re on a date!” thing #or the online lover thing ....
