thinking about religion is a fun part of character analysis and development i think. like obviously it’s not a requirement, but also religion has been a HUGE part of civilization and how we see and interact with the world ever since it first started, and i think that what a character believes spiritually and how they interact and grapple with that can be important to explore (even necessary for some stories!)

#and again obviously it’s not going to be present in every narrative #but sometimes it’s like. okay you’ve included a religion and religious themes in your story. how do your characters deal with that #for narratives like omori id say it’s important to consider because the church is an important location in the town!#its inclusion presence and failures are all significant to the story!!#or smth like nerdy prudes must die. you can NOT analyze grace chasity without taking an honest look at her relationship to christianity!!!
