CALM IN THE STORM| H.SPECTER
Pairing: Harvey Specter x Wife!reader
Summary: The entire firm knew how temperamental Harvey Specter was and whenever he was in one of those moods, they knew it was going to be a painful day, until they found the only thing that could calm him down.
Warnings: none.
Suits Master List
Harvey Specter could be described as many things; arrogant, rude, uptight, stone-faced and most certainly hot headed. It wasn’t hard to piss him off but it was certainly difficult to calm him down and once his mood was ruined the entire day was doomed.
It was quite frankly anyone’s worst day whenever Harvey wasn’t in a good mood because they always took the brunt of it and there was no way to fix it.
Or so they thought.
If there was one thing anyone would say about Donna Paulsen, it was that she knew everything, which meant she knew exactly what would calm Harvey Specter down.
His wife.
Y/N Specter wasn’t a lawyer, she was an aerospace engineer which was just as, if not more impressive than being a lawyer and Harvey Specter worshipped the ground she walked on.
After watching Mike Ross leave Harvey’s office with near tears streaming down his face, Donna had enough and picked up the phone.
Y/N’s attention was momentarily drawn away from her computer at the sound of her office phone ringing but continued looking through data as she answered "Y/N Specter speaking."
A sigh of relief was heard through the line before Donna’s voice filtered through. "Y/N! Thank god! I don’t know what the hell is up Harvey’s arse today but he’s nearly made Mike cry three times and it’s only 10 o’clock, can you please come and save us," her husband’s secretary practically begged.
Y/N smiled, leaning back in her chair, work forgotten. This wasn’t the first time she had received a phone call like this and she found it hilarious just how much her husband built within people, he was a real softy around her.
Luckily for her, she had a lot of freedom in her role, she had proven herself for many years before that she was now able to come and go from work as she pleased, being fully trusted that no matter how often she was hear her work was always done.
"I won’t be long," she said before hanging up, not wasting time in grabbing her things to make her way to her husband’s workplace.
As she walked towards her husbands office, Y/N bit down her laughter as she saw the obvious signs of relief on everyone’s faces as she walked by.
"Y/N you have no idea how happy I am to see you," Donna greeted her as she approached her desk, "He’s miserable in there."
Y/N looked through the glass into her husbands office and found that the redhead was telling the truth, the heavy frustration on her husband’s face was hard to miss.
She gave Donna a smile before making her way into Harvey’s office.
The man sighed heavily hearing his office door open, not looking up from the case file open in front of him. “I thought I said I didn’t want to be disturbed.”
Y/N smiled, “and does that include me?”
Harvey’s head snapped up at the sweet, smooth tone of his wife’s voice, feeling the tension in his shoulders deflate just from her presence. "Y/N?”
“Hey handsome." She smirked slightly, walking around his desk, he turned in his chair just as she stood in front of him.
He looked up at her in the same way he always did, there was nothing but pure love in those eyes, “What are you doing here?"
Y/N smiled lovingly at him, stepping forward to stand between his legs, wrapping her arms around the back of his head. “You’re scaring your colleagues.”
Harvey rolled his eyes, sitting up to rest his hands on her waist. “They’re ridiculous.”
Y/N hummed, “maybe, but how could I deny the chance to come and see you?”
“Fair point, I can understand the struggle of not seeing my handsome face for a couple hours,” Harvey replied, dead serious, smiling as his wife rolled her eyes and gave him a gentle slap to the shoulder.
“What’s got you all worked up, darling?” She asked.
Harvey released a deep breath, sparing a glance to the case sitting open on his desk. “I didn’t even want to represent the guy but Jessica knows him, I know him to be a complete prick."
Y/N thought for a moment before inviting herself further into his space, forcing her way into his lap, not that he was complaining, he just tightened his grip around her, leaning back into his chair. “Well, how about I treat you to lunch?” She proposed.
Harvey smiled tiredly. “I’d love that, baby." He replied, earning a bright smile from his wife who leaned forward to press a loving kiss to his lips before standing back up, pulling him up with her,
“Come on then, we’ve kept Ray waiting long enough.”
The smile on Harvey’s face was a stark contrast to the frustration he had been hounding earlier and it was all down the angel in front of him who wouldn’t even allow him to grab his coat, too persistent in dragging him through his office door.
As they made their way out of the building, they paid no attention to the uncomfortable weight that seemed to lift from everyone’s shoulders.
One thing for sure is that the entire firm were relieved for the existence of Y/N Specter.

what if harvey specter’s wife worked from home and has a last minute work emergency, so harvey had to take their daughter to work? hope that made sense 😭.
I loved this prompt! I changed it eeeever so slightly but it doesn't affect the overall product. I'm working on making these longer which does mean that it'll take me longer between posts but I'm hoping length makes up for it?? Or maybe this is too long. Idk. I've been writing it for daysssss. I think I don't love the end quarter or so, but I wanted to get it out there. Also I decided to name the daughter, I'm not sure how I feel about doing that versus just using Y/D/N so let me know what you all think? I'd use a different name each time I wrote something with a daughter in it so that it doesn't feel like a series or the same character in different universes.

Work with Dad
Harvey Specter x Reader (except you're barely in it lol)
You rolled over at the sound of your phone buzzing incessantly on the nightstand, fumbling for it and answering sleepily.
"Hello? Oh shit, okay I'm on my way." Immediately, you got up and began rushing around to get ready.
"Who's that?" Harvey mumbled, having woken up to your call.
"Work, there's an emergency and I have to go take care of it. I know you have to work but, I can't take Olivia with me to the restaurant and my parents work today... Do you think you could bring her with you?"
Harvey sighed, knowing you were right. It would be easier for him to bring the four-year-old with him to his office as opposed to the very high-end restaurant you ran. Normally on the days you worked away from the house Olivia was in preschool, but today wasn't a school day for her.
"Yeah, that's fine. I have a pretty easy day today, and it's been a while since she's seen everyone anyway." He said, getting out of bed himself and heading to take a shower.
You quickly yelled to him before you left, thanking him for taking one for the team.
Once Harvey finished his shower, he pulled a suit from the closet and put the dress shirt and pants on, opting to leave his suit jacket off for now, knowing he'd likely have to do some wrangling of a certain toddler. As he had this thought, tiny footsteps sounded down the hall toward the bedroom.
"Hi Daddy" Said the tiny voice of his daughter as she ran toward him, arms in the air.
"Good morning princess! How'd you sleep?" He asked, lifting her with ease and kissing her cheek.
"Good, where's Mama?" She asked, knowing the two of you normally got ready together each morning. She was pretty damn smart for her age, and Harvey knew this fact would get him into trouble someday.
"Mama had to go take care of something at work, but guess what? You get to spend the day with Daddy at the firm!" He told her excitedly, raising his eyebrows.
Olivia was hesitant at first, she didn't know exactly what it was that her dad did every day, but she saw him on his computer a lot, and that didn't seem very exciting to her. She was about to protest this, but then she remembered some of her most favorite people worked with her dad.
"Can we see Mike and Rachel?" She asked.
Harvey laughed, nodding.
"And Donna?"
"And Donna." He confirmed with a smile. "You wanna get dressed so we can go see them?"
Immediately, she began squirming to get down from his grasp. Harvey obliged, following the girl to her room to help her pick out an outfit. She eventually elected for her favorite pink dress with flowers, and Harvey approved, finding her a pair of shoes to match.
A short while later, Harvey and Olivia were headed up to the Pearson Specter offices. She couldn't stop talking about how excited she was to see everyone, and Harvey had to keep reminding her that they had work to do and that they might not be able to be with her as much as she had hoped. Harvey had packed a day's worth of activities in a backpack to keep the little girl occupied in his office, and hopefully out of everyone else's business.
The elevator doors opened, and Olivia nearly pulled Harvey's arm out of the socket trying to get to her favorite people as fast as she could. He scooped her up into his arms, foiling her plans. She adorably crossed her arms in frustration, making Harvey chuckle as he walked toward his office.
"We just have to drop our stuff off in Dad's office first, then we can go see your friends, okay baby?"
She agreed, understanding that the quicker she cooperated, the quicker she got what she wanted.
Harvey put all their stuff down in a small pile on the couch in his office, telling himself he'd deal with it later. He knew Donna wouldn't be in for a little longer as he was earlier today than he normally was, but Mike and Rachel were more than likely already hard at work.
"Alright princess, wanna go see Mike?"
Her eyes went so wide Harvey thought they'd pop out of her head. He laughed and opened his door, pointing down the hall and following as she ran ahead of him. She nearly missed his door she was going so fast, but stopped herself when she noticed him seated at his desk.
"Knock before you go in, Liv" Harvey reminded the girl, grinning when her tiny fist tapped the glass of Mike's office door.
He looked up, not seeing her at first and waving Harvey in and looking back down at his stack of papers.
"You're in early, something wrong?" "MIKE!!!" Olivia yelled, startling the junior partner before realizing what was going on.
"Livi! How's my favorite Specter?" He asked, getting out of his chair to lift her into a bear hug.
She giggled uncontrollably until he set her back down.
"Well, I'd be offended but she happens to be pretty cool, so I'll let you have that." Harvey said, grinning as he watched his daughter run in circles around Mike's office while he chased her. There wasn’t much space in the junior partner's office, so the chase didn’t last very long.
"Where's Rachel?" Olivia wondered out loud. Mike kneeled down to her level.
"Rachel has school in the mornings, so she won't be here for a little bit longer." Mike explained, but this only confused her further.
"But... isn't Rachel a grown-up?" She asked, making Harvey and Mike smile.
"She's in law school, baby. Some grown-ups go to extra school so they can do their special jobs. Daddy went to law school too, and Mama went to business school and cooking school." Harvey explained.
“Did Mike to go extra school?” Olivia asked
Harvey and Mike share a look before looking back at Olivia.
“Mike’s a long story.” Harvey said.
Olivia seemed to be satisfied, or she stopped caring about his answer. Either way, she nodded and continued laughing and playing with Mike while her dad stood off to the side, only a little offended that she hardly even remembered he was still standing there.
He looked down at his watch, noting the time and figuring Donna was probably at her desk by now.
"Liv, do you want to go see if we can find Donna?" Harvey asked, and the little girl screamed like she was at a Taylor Swift show, jumping up and down with pure glee.
"Did she get this excited to see me?" Mike asked. Harvey chuckled, shaking his head.
"Not even close, sorry Mike. C'mon kid, let's go" Harvey said, lifting Olivia high in the air and onto his shoulders, holding tightly as he walked.
"Oh Donna, I have a surprise for you," Harvey said over the sounds of his daughter's laughter.
"Well, I wonder what the surprise could be! Hmmm, is it a pony? Oh a pony wouldn’t fit in the elevator… Maybe you should give me a hint." She said facetiously, acting as if she had no idea Olivia was there.
"It's me!" Olivia yelled, unable to keep the ‘surprise’ of her presence in any longer.
"Oh it’s Olivia! Hi beautiful! That’s a way better surprise than a pony!" Donna exclaimed. "How'd you get so lucky to come to work with your dad?"
"Her mama had a work emergency so daddy got to take her in with him, huh Liv?" Harvey explained, and Donna nodded in understanding.
Olivia nodded, smiling down at both Donna and her dad, still up high on his shoulders. She reached her arms toward Donna, so Harvey lowered her to the floor. Donna quickly scooped her up and placed her on her hip, giving the girl hugs and exaggerated cheek kisses.
“It’s been so long since I’ve seen you, who let you get so big?”
Olivia pointed at Harvey, smiling happily.
“Umm no ma’am, I specifically told you to stop growing, if it were up to me you’d still be my tiny little baby.” Harvey said, poking her side playfully. She giggled, pushing his hands away with her tiny ones.
"Have you had fun so far Livi?" Donna asked, and Olivia smiled and nodded profusely.
"I ran down the hall soooo fast and Mike chased me in his office and then me and Daddy found you!"
"Wow Olivia! That sounds like a really cool morning!" A voice said from behind. Everyone turned to see none other than Jessica strutting down the hall.
Harvey knew Jessica wouldn’t particularly love the idea of his four year old daughter hanging around in his office all day, but he also knew there was nothing else he could do. He was a parent above anything else, so he was going to do what he had to do.
“Livi, do you remember Jessica?” Harvey asked.
Olivia nodded, a bright smile on her face.
“It’s great to see you again cutie” Jessica said with a smile of her own.
“Look I know you’re probably mad but-“
“Harvey relax, I’m not mad. Just as long as she doesn’t get into anything she shouldn’t, she's welcome here." Jessica stated, easing Harvey's mind. He nodded in understanding and watched as she walked back to her office.
"Alright Liv, I've got some work to do in my office and I brought you some fun stuff to do while I work. Maybe later we can come back out and see Donna if she's not too busy, alright?"
Olivia huffed in disappointment, but she knew better than to fight with her dad. He placed his hands out to grab her from Donna, who regrettably handed her over. She had known the little girl since before she was even born, and she loved her like she was her own blood.
Harvey was actually able to get some work done, and Olivia enjoyed her time coloring in her coloring books and playing with the toys her dad had packed for her. Soon enough, she was hungry for lunch and Harvey took her into the kitchen to retrieve the lunchable he had brought her. Eventually, she grew tired and ready for her nap. When Harvey looked over at his couch after a suspiciously long period of silence, he saw her fast asleep. He smiled, standing and taking his suit jacket off, draping it over her small frame. She napped this way for about an hour, and when she woke up, she was overjoyed to learn that Rachel had finally come to the office.
"Rachel!!!" Olivia yelled in the doorway of Rachel's office, and she was quick to run in for a hug.
"Livi! Hi cutie! I heard you were here today, I couldn't wait to get done with school so I could see you!" Rachel said as she scooped the little girl up for a big hug. Olivia wrapped her arms around Rachel's neck happily.
"Do you have fun at big girl school?" Olivia asked.
"Law school is very different from normal school, so it's a lot harder, but it's what I love doing so that makes it fun!" Rachel explained.
"Do you get to color there?"
"No, theres no coloring. There's lots of reading and talking to other students and learning though!"
"I think I like my school better, we get to color and play and sing!"
This made Rachel laugh, and nod her head.
"Keep it that way as long as you can girly." Rachel said.
"Liv, it's almost time to go home. You wanna come say goodbye to everyone?" Harvey interrupted from the doorway.
Olivia nodded sadly, crossing the room to take her father's outstretched hand.
"Bye Rachel, have fun in big girl school."
"I will, bye Livi"
Harvey led her back through the office, stopping at everyone's offices so she could say her goodbyes, stopping at Donna's desk last. She gave the red-haired woman the biggest hug she could, Donna was her most favorite person after all.
When Olivia got home, she was thrilled to find her mom was there waiting for her and Harvey with dinner in the oven. She couldn't resist telling her mother about every last detail of her thrilling day at her dad's job.
"Well that's exciting! It sounds like you were a good little employee for daddy" You mused, looking up at Harvey with a grin.
"She's the best damn paralegal I've ever had. Might just have to hire her" Harvey joked.
"Does that mean I have to go to big girl school? That sounds really not fun."
You and Harvey laughed.
"Baby, if you don't want to go to big girl school we can talk about that when you're older." You reassured.
"You think with that attitude she has she won't want to be a lawyer like her old man?" Harvey said, smirking.
"Oh, she'll want to be in debate before she hits high school."

Dad or Harvey - Dad! Harvey and Reader and Mike Ross x reader
You were scared, you sat in an interrogation room, your hands shaking so bad you couldn't even call your step-dad yourself, you had to have a deputy do it. You were taken in for suspected murder suspect and you weren't even sure why. Your dad was a big time name partner lawyer and he was a feared lawyer by alot of other firms in the city, your mom, Donna married him almost three years ago and you and Harvey had been at each other's throats ever since.
You could hear Harvey's shouts from the other side of the door and you immediately broke down, why'd you have to call him? He was gonna be livid at you. "How dare you speak with my client without me being present! I am her attorney and you will not pull this stunt again or I swear I will have your ass in front of a judge before you can even say murder!" You heard Harvey scream before the door swung open "Let's go" He demanded giving you a cold harsh glare, you nodded standing up quickly grabbing your phone from the deputy rushing out behind your step-dad, terrified of what would happen, you were freshly 18 so he could kick you out if he wanted to, you always felt like he hated you anyways. As you both sat in the back of the car you kept your eyes trained on your shoes "What the hell did you get yourself into, y/n?" He asked looking towards you, sniffling you looked at him, trying to make yourself as small as possible "I-I don't know....M-my classmate was killed..and they said I did it..-I didn't do it! I swear Harvey!" You whimpered going to grab his arm but you stopped yourself, in the three years of knowing Harvey you knew he never liked physical touch by anybody but your mother. It shocked you whenever Harvey wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug "It's gonna be okay, y/n" He whispered kissing your head before you felt the car stop "I'm gonna leave you with a close friend..his name is Mike Ross..He works for me he's gonna keep an eye out for you while I go get started on your defense okay?" Harvey explained opening the door before taking you to an apartment and leading you to the couch "Leave the door locked, only your mother, Mike and I have a key so you'll be safe until he's home" He said to you kissing your forehead before leaving quickly to his office.
It had been a week since Harvey started your case, you had been staying with Mike since then and you both were enjoying it alot, Harvey on the other hand was a mess, working basically days and nights. He now stood in front of his window in his office, trying to hold back tears, having to turn his back as he watched you talk with your mom and other people from the office, you slowly approached his office, walking up to him slowly but still keeping your distance "Harvey?.." You whispered slowly glancing over to see a file on his desk, opened with your name on it, and at the bottom in big bold letters 'Defendant must pay 420,000 dollars to vicitim's family and serve 35 years maximum in New York state prison'.
"I'm gonna be blamed for it aren't I?.." You whispered looking at him, he kept his eyes on the window taking a drink from his whiskey glass before taking a shaky breath in "Not if I can help it.." Harvey whispered, anger laced his voice but you could tell he was about to start crying "Dad...It's okay..You don't have to fight anymore..." You whispered "No...no...Y/n..no I'm going to fight this. You didn't do it and I'm going to make sure you don't go away for it." He said trying to keep his stern rude tone but it was cracking "Harvey.." You tried to argue but he turned towards you grabbing your shoulders "Its okay, y/n..You're gonna be okay" He whispered hugging you tightly before looking at you hiccuping a bit to suppress a sob, he rushed off, somewhere you didn't see leaving you alone in your dad's office.
"Hey stranger" You heard a familiar voice call out to you, you turned around smiling at him as he walked into the office "Hmmm...I dunno..You look pretty professional behind that desk Ms. Paulson" Mike smiled towards you acting like his hands were a camera "I told you Mr. Ross, ever since my mom married Harvey it's Ms. Specter" You reminded again walking over to him smiling "What's up? Ready to go?" You asked tilting your head whenever his expression and body language changed "Y/n..." He started rubbing his hands together "Oh god..Rachel doesn't want us sharing the apartment anymore does she?" You asked panicked, they had only been on one date but you respected Mike and Rachel. "N-No no..Sweet that you care though but I actually....stopped seeing her..I realized I liked someone else" Mike smiled looking at his shoes "Who?.." You asked smiling softly, Mike could only smile back, he could see the care in your eyes, and he knew he made the right choice. "Shit she's looking over right now" he gasped looking away, you did the same before fixing his hair, suit jacket, and tie before patting his chest "You look amazing, go talk to her" You offered motioning to the door "I am" He whispered looking at you nervously "Y/n..You're amazing...the way you care and love and appreciate so little and give so much-" You cut him off by kissing him softly cupping his cheeks "I like you too, Mike" You smiled pulling away before messing up his hair "Heyy! My friend just did that so I looked good talking to you" He defended trying to flatten his hair down "I like messy hair Mike instead" You whispered kissing him again, biting his bottom lip teasingly before pulling away. Mike brushed his hand over yours as Harvey walked back in "I know how we're gonna solve this cas- Mike. Y/n. What're you two doing?" He asked crossing his arms "Harvey..." You said defensively before he smirked at you "In my office kid? Really?" He asked raising his eyebrow towards Mike "I oughta kick your ass" Harvey added on before sitting down "So Y/n you were on the phone the time of the murder correct? So, how could you swing an aluminum baseball bat with one hand and murder someone with only one hand?" Harvey asked you "It'd be impossible...I read I don't work on my muscular physique" You commented looking at him in shock "You found it, dad" You whispered in shock, he smiled standing up giving you a tight hug "Now, You're gonna stay with Mike until the end of trial for your safety, and no funny busy or I swear to god, Mike" Harvey threatened as he rubbed your back feeling your body shake lightly with sobs, relieved you wouldn't have that weight on you anymore.
I'm definitely doing a part 2

I saw your message about request for Harvey Specter. Can you one where Harvey is little nervous about Reader represents a case. Because she is shy and he thinks that she isn't ready. But she is Jessica's associate. And Jessica and Harvey having a bet about the case, Pro Bono cases. And Jessica suspect that there is a some kind of relationship between Reader and Harvey. You can decide what kind of relationship there is between them.
Hi anon! Thank you so much for the request and I'm so sorry for the delay. Was caught up in the hectic world of thesis. Hopefully, this can do your idea justice. Not gonna lie, I got a little carried away writing this.... Feel free to send me more requests! Enjoy!
Ready or Not
Pairing: Harvey Specter x Female Reader
"You want to see me?" Harvey asked as he entered Jessica's room. "I got a case for you. This might interest you." Jessica handed him the familiar blue file. "A pro bono case will interest me?" Hervey closed the file within seconds of opening it. "I can't remember the last time you handled any pro bono case. Do it for the people in need." Harvey scoffed, "You mean for the image of this firm?" A glint of seriousness flashed across her eyes. "The last time I checked, this firm also has your name on the door." Harvey sighed as he leaned back on the sofa then straightened himself. "As much as I want to do it, I'm swamped with Cahill hot on our tail. And the last time I checked, what I'm doing is also for the good of this firm." Harvey looked pointedly at Jessica. He broke the contact and took the blue file once again in his hands and opened it. "This is a weak case, Jessica. I bet you we can only settle for what? $300,000 top. Sexual assault by a medical staff that happened almost 6 months ago?" Harvey closed the file and placed it back on the table. "Just $300,000?" Jessica questioned and Harvey nodded. "How if I can get a settlement more than that?"
Harvey raised his eyebrow. "That means you have to find someone better than me, which is I don't know, impossible?" Harvey smirked and Jessica offered her hand for him to shake. "I can get them to settle more than $300,000 and I get to pick 5 records from your collection." Harvey stared in disbelief. "2" "4" "3" "4"
Harvey sighed, "fine, 4 it is." Harvey took Jessica's hand, about to shake it but Jessica held her hand in place. "Any records I want, no exceptions. And don't hide anything, I'll know." Harvey nodded. "I want the Fabergé egg in your home office," Harvey smirked, only to earn a firm shake from Jessica.
Harvey's day went as busy as it could get. He never really wanted to go home until tonight. He stole a look at his watch. A little over 9. Just a little over 9. He sighed. He definitely has stayed way longer, way too many times. But it felt like 3 am already. He closed his eyes and rubbed his temple. Donna just went home around 30 minutes ago. He swirled his chair and stared at the cityscape below. He decided to call it a night.
Harvey entered his place with a very tasty smell of chicken and rosemary. He smiled as he heard a cheery hum from the kitchen. "Harvey!" she squealed and wiped her hand on her apron before approaching the visibly tired Harvey. "I've missed you," she said, wrapping her hands around him. "I've missed you more than you've missed me." Harvey looked down at her and smiled playfully. She smacked his chest and turned to walk back to the kitchen. Harvey took off his suit coat and tie. Unbuttoned the first few buttons of his shirt and rolled both his sleeves. He sat across the kitchen island. She poured him a glass of red wine while Harvey looked at her adoringly. She's young, so many possibilities for her in the future. She'll make a good lawyer, he bet. But one thing, she lacks the confidence to be one. "Guess what?" Harvey hummed, encouraging him to continue. "Jessica, FINALLY, gave me my first ever case! The first hearing will be next Thursday." Harvey smiled widely, "Oh, congratulations baby! What case is it?" Harvey asked. "Well, it's a pro bono case. A woman was sexually assaulted by a medical staff. It's horrible." She said as she chopped down some veggies. On the other side of the island, Harvey choked on his wine. She's not ready for this. Not now. "Hey, be careful there." She quickly retrieved a bottle of water from the fridge and handed it to Harvey. Harvey took a generous gulp before setting the bottle down. "You okay?" she gave him a concerned yet amused look. "Do you think you can handle the case?" Harvey asked. All traces of happiness and excitement were erased from her face. In an instant, Harvey felt the lump of guilt in his chest. "You're right, maybe I'm not ready for the case." she bit her lip, looking down while toying with her apron. "I can't barely piped up when we talked about cases in public. Remember that one time Louis asked about the associates' opinions on a case and he called my name and I just stood there frozen out of embarrassment? Oh Harvey, what would I do when I have to do it in court? With someone depending on me? Jesus, the whole firm depends on me. How will it sound if Pearson Specter lost a pro bono?" she rambled, out of breath. Her eyes were glassy and her brows knitted together. "Hey hey," Harvey stood up and quickly came to her side. "Don't say something like that" Harvey held her in his embrace. "Look at me," Harvey said softly. "I'm not saying you shouldn't represent this case, not at all. You lacked confidence, yes. But this is your time to fix that. Okay? I'll help you. Please, don't ever doubt yourself, and stop crying, sweet angel." Harvey moved his thumbs across her cheeks, quickly wiped newly tears she shed. She nodded as she hugged Harvey. Harvey offered to finish cooking dinner for her but she refused and both of them cooked dinner quietly that night.
"You picked your associate to handle the pro bono case?" Harvey asked as the partners poured out of the room after the usual morning meeting. Jessica was surprised at Harvey's knowledge of this. "I don't think you should let her go alone, representing a case like this. This is a sexual assault case that looked weak. She needs to be confident to convince everyone." Jessica crossed her legs, and Harvey had her full attention. "And how come you can judge my associate better than me?" she cocked her head to one side. "Heard from Donna she got too embarrassed in front of Louis and the other associates." Harvey shrugged, seemed nonchalant. "And I've mentored her ever since. Don't worry, I'll win the bet." Jessica winked as she stood up to leave the room. Harvey stayed in the room alone for some time. Worried shit about the girl he happened to date for the past 6 months. He needed to calm down. No one can find out about their relationship. He doesn't want people to think that she got the place here because she's sleeping with him. But the thought of her girl, panicking in front of the court, worried him more than he cared to admit. Screw the bet, Harvey thought. He needed to prep her for her first hearing to settle more than what he predicted.
A week passed like a blur and here came the first hearing. Harvey told Donna not to tell anyone about his whereabouts, unless it's a life-and-death situation, he doesn't want to hear it. They were in the back seat of Harvey's car. Her hands were all sweaty, her face clad with worry. "We've rehearsed every single night, you won't mess this up. When you feel like you can't talk, remember why you stand there, defending your client. Remember that. I'll be watching from the gallery." She looked up at Harvey and nodded slowly. Harvey smiled and kissed her. "Don't worry, you can do this."
Not long after, Harvey found himself sitting in the front row of the gallery. The judge just entered the room and he could see how tense she suddenly got. She looked back to find her man. Harvey smiled and nodded at her, sending her encouragement. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and it started.
"I come here to collect my present" Jessica came to Harvey's office, announcing her own arrival. "Go ahead, pick 4 records. Anything you like." Harvey gestured at his collection with his hand. "You don't seem defeated," Jessica said, walking to the rack of collection. "That's what a man with balls do when they lose a bet, he owned it," Harvey said, almost smiling. He could buy another hundred of records of what Jessica will take. But the look of his girl when she won the case, he could never buy that. Jessica just hummed, hand rummaging through the records. "Harvey, love, I jus…" Harvey stood up so fast at the sight of his girl entering the room, with Jessica in it. She stopped dead in her tracks, she looked at Harvey, pleading for help. Before Harvey could react, Jessica turned and looked at the young associate. She fidgeted in her place. "I should umm, I should go." She said quietly, ready to run away for dear life. "Harvey, won't you invite my associate in?" Jessica asked, gracefully sitting herself on Harvey's black leather sofa. Harvey motioned her to come in and Jessica gestured for her to sit on the sofa near her. Harvey stood at his place and leaned back a bit on his desk. The room was so quiet. None of them spoke. She looked down, fidgeting with the hem of her skirt. "How long?' Jessica asked, eyeing the couple. "A little over 6 months," Harvey answered while Jessica nodded. "Jessica, I'm sorry.." she started before Jessica stopped her. "People will spread gossip if they know. I won't. You dating Harvey doesn't affect your performance," Jessica paused and pointed at Harvey. "And you dating my associate doesn't affect your performance either." Jessica leaned back on the sofa, crossing her arms in front of her. "If this works for the two of you, I would not interfere. Just don't get too carried away that could lead to gossip." Harvey breathed a sigh of relief and he looked at her and smiled. Jessica stood up and she quickly followed. Jessica offered her hand and she shook it. "Cheer up, you just won your first case. Congratulation." Jessica smiled genuinely at her and she too, smiled. "Thank you, Jessica." Jessica was about to leave Harvey's office when he called out for her. "Won't you take your records?" Jessica looked back, "I got what I wanted. Now go home, and take your girlfriend to dinner. It's her first win." Jessica strode away, her red soles clacking loudly across the empty hallway, as she smiled to herself thinking that Harvey thought he could hide such things from her.
Meanwhile, in Harvey's office, the both of them looked at each other and laughed. Laughed out of relief. Harvey was scared that she would be punished for being in a relationship. Jessica wasn't necessarily hyped about it but she's not against it either. Harvey took 2 long strides to get to her girl and leaned down to kiss her. "Come on, the boss told me to take you out for dinner." She giggled and Harvey found himself grinning. "I love you," Harvey said, voice just above whisper. His hands cupped her face. She gasped, stood on her tiptoes, and gave him a gentle kiss, "I love you," she whispered against his lips.

👋 HIHI CAN U TALK ABOUT UR FAVOURITE DARVEY MOMENT
HI MY LOVE okay yes. yes i absolutely can.
so my favorite darvey moment is from 7x13 "Inevitable" when donna tries to resign from the firm and harvey rushes to her front door and rips her resignation letter right in front of her. the following ensues:
and okay. this is my favorite darvey moment. but why?? why not something from 4x15 or 8x16 or even 7x10??
first off, i think the dialogue in this scene is some of my favorite in the series because it is so concise but truly soooo punching. it is to-the-point but extremely honest and vulnerable, a very harvey way of expressing himself - this is one of the key times when his vulnerability was not explicitly prompted by donna, or even paula. this is him acting on his own volition to make a statement that will get donna back.
and that kind of starts to get to the crux of whyyy i love this moment so much. it's kind of one of the main times - the first time? - that harvey is honest and direct about the fact that he needs donna in his life, and that truly other things do not matter in comparison to the threat of losing her.
"but he literally had panic attacks in season five about her!!" panic attacks that he does not directly correlate to her absence, panic attacks that he tries to brush off in the company of other people, and panic attacks that his therapist loops back to his childhood trauma. harvey does not experience this and then automatically go "well shit, this is because of donna."
"but he's dreamed about his fears of donna leaving!!!" dreams that his therapist told him were about a general fear of people leaving, or his mom leaving, and were not tied to donna. dreams that he doesn't believe could be any proof of his feelings for donna, at least when he talks about them, because he's in denial.
not since season two had he really been this explicit about needing her, but that situation was even prompted by how badly he had fucked up and fucked her over, so he was also in a position to grovel and she prompted it because she was pissed off.
when he reads her resignation letter on his desk, he instantly runs from the office and goes to break up with his """girlfriend""". no hesitation. nobody is telling him how to handle the situation or how he's feeling, he is literally acting on his own wants and needs here. after ending things with paula, he runs to donna's apartment and stakes his claim that he needs her to come back.
while it's not an explicitly romantic gesture, this is the kind of showing up that donna has needed from him. he didn't let her walk away, he cleaned up his mess and proved to her that she is what is important, and that's what matters. he confronts head on what she means to him and is honest about it.
he's not groveling and she's not even making him fight for this kind of confession - not like she did in season two. he says this all on his own. in a way, it's a display of shocking maturity and it's just sooooo UGH with how she is trying to be a friend and ask if he's okay and all he's thinking about is her coming back to the firm.
and THEN she invites him inside and he doesn'taccept the invitation but i think it speaks to how overwhelmed donna is by this moment too - i don't know what she was expecting to happen, but i truly do not think she anticipated harvey at her door and basically rejecting her resignation attempt along with telling her that he is no longer with paula. like i would want to invite him in too, because i do think in this moment donna felt like he was finally choosing her. in my heart she also wanted to open the space for them to be friends and to comfort him about the breakup - but lets all be sooo real, her tone of voice was lowkey very insinuating of the fact that she needed him BAD lol. like her voice goes low and almost wavers and it's like, she's either about to cry or she needs to jump him lmao.
anyways best darvey moment ever, so much progression in their relationship and in harvey's ability to act on his needs!!!!!!! big big moment that i love so much!!!!!!!!!
#suits tv#darvey#harvey specter#donna paulsen#7x13#i could even go on. this scene just does it for me

Love Languages
Mike Ross X Harvey Specter
M for Mature
Tags: Established Relationship, Romantic Fluff, Hints to Smut, Romance, Domestic
The five love languages displayed between Mike and Harvey. They each flourish in different aspects. Harvey is so very soft for Mike.
Also On AO3
Touch:
Mike, at some point, sits in Harvey's dark office after hours, when everyone, or almost everyone, has gone home. He's sitting on the couch, laying back against the back cushion and looking out the window. And he says out loud to himself: "I don't need approval. I need affection."
His eyes sting from being up too long and from taking his heart out of his chest and turning it every-which way to see if it has an off switch or reset button. Spoiler: it doesn't.
What he doesn't know is Harvey has been standing just inside the now closed glass door for a minute or two. Watching Mike look at the world outside.
It's another second of Mike taking heavy breaths to calm himself. "Approval is nice. But affection is better." And that's when he tilts his head to look right up at the ceiling and catch Harvey out of the corner of his eye.
Now. Take this little scene and picture Harvey walking in, quiet but focused. His eyes never leave Mike's, and Mike's never leave his.
When he gets to the back of the couch, he puts his hands on either side of Mike's head as Mike looks up at him. The slow breathing is matched over a few moments.
Harvey's brown eyes roam Mike's tired face. They notice little spots of irritated skin, a beginning stress pimple on his chin, the oily sheen on Mike's forehead and the tops of his cheeks where the ambient light from the city is hitting them.
From here, they're both human.
Harvey sighs softly, and the hot breath from his nose ruffles Mike's hair. He leans down and places a soft kiss on Mike's forehead, lingering there and breathing him in. The soft smack of separation brings a gentle warmth to this.
Mike's eyes are slow to open. And when they do, they're hooded. It's funny looking upside down. Harvey smiles that private smile. The one only Mike and Donna get to see. The vulnerable one. Mike loves that one.
Harvey hears the quiet but deep seeded moan of approval. Mike pats the cushion next to him. He only moves a little bit when Harvey stands straight and moves around to sit next to him.
When he does, and he's settled against the side, he opens his arm and let's Mike come to him, gravitate into his chest and be safe and quiet for a moment if not an eternity. The natural fit of Mike's head against his neck and shoulder is all Harvey needs to know that he and Mike are meant to be together. It's a sappy internal monologue he has going, but it's no less true. And it's especially true when Harvey kisses Mike's head and he hears the younger man sigh with the rightness. The need for affection being slowly filled as they sit there.
Harvey noses and kisses and keeps himself pressed against Mike's head, the short hairs tickling him but reminding him of what he's doing and who for.
Eventually, they'll get up to finish whatever Mike was doing for Harvey, or leave it and head home for the night. But not yet.
Time:
When it was just the two of them alone they could get away with quick meals. Little one pot dishes or things Mike has learned but can’t execute right. He relays the recipe to Harvey and he watches and Harvey adjusts it to their tastes.
When there are a couple people over in Harvey’s (now their) condo Harvey will enlist the help of Mike. Jessica and Donna will sit at the bar across from where Harvey is julienning carrots and zucchini. He shows off a little with his quick knife work, but he is mindful of where his hands are.
When Mike wants to try something Harvey is happy to oversee it. He knows Mike can make a mess so he cleans as they go. He’ll help out where Mike needs it or asks for it. And he will ask when it’s just them. Sole risotto with garlic and parsley pure, being stirred evenly by Mike.
It gives Harvey the time he needs to take out the marinating heirloom tomatoes from the fridge and plate them on a sharing dish. He’s happy to just chop herbs and onion to put on top, taking his time to get even dicing.
They don’t have to be constantly chattering at each other. It’s nice to just listen to the low volume record Harvey has playing. He’ll sway his hips a bit and mouth out sounds under his breath to the music. The soft accompaniment of Mike’s humming when he knows a bit of the tune joins Harvey’s melody. They can both hear the other smile even though their backs are to each other.
The atmosphere they’ve made for themselves holds them in its embrace when the stove gets turned off and the risotto is put into two shallow bowls. Quiet and steady. Mike knows he’s going to be doing the dishes later and Harvey will have a case file open in front of him at the bar counter while they work away separately.
Gifts:
Harvey doesn’t really enjoy receiving gifts. Sure he likes rewards and incentives from clients and the like, but he is not someone who gets much pleasure from personal gifts.
He does, however, know someone who adores being gifted things. Little things. Goofy things. Novelty or knick knacks. Practical sometimes.
He notices when Mike gets his gift too. In the way Mike will smile at him. Of the little show off thing he does.
Harvey smiles back at him and shakes his head, eyes sparkling in mirth at his lover. His partner really.
The tie clip that looks like a silver arrow is one of the first things Mike gets from Harvey. It’s not too personal but it is nice. He immediately swaps out the plain bevelled, polished-metal bar for it. And Harvey notices when Mike shows up in his office an hour later, jacket missing, sleeves rolled, but tie nice and neat, mouth going a mile a minute on some small print in a file from weeks ago that will undo the knot of a case they have now. Harvey’s eyes stay lit up from when he first spotted it on the dark navy tie.
When Mike is done his mini-rant Harvey shifts himself so his mouth isn’t covered by his fingers. “You look good, kid.”
It flusters Mike a little but then they get to the point of what Mike has brought him.
When Mike buys Harvey a little cactus to add to his ever growing plant collection he’s quickly informed that Harvey is not a gift haver . “But I do appreciate the thought of this. I just like getting things on my own time and own money.” He kisses Mike’s temple and happily puts the new cactus next to a succulent on his kitchen counter at the end where just enough sun will hit them.
A few weeks later Mike is given a small blue box, not jewellery sized, bigger than that. Inside in black and white paper he finds a disposable camera that needs filling. ‘ Add to your memories ’ is written in neat script from Harvey’s favourite fountain pen. Mike grins.
A lovely looking, dark lacquered, wooden box about the size of a hefty law textbook sits on Mike’s desk just after lunch. He sees a couple of the other guys looking at it with a mix of curiosity, jealousy, and annoyance. There’s a tag looped with twine through the key to the box. The key is a small gold thing, more for show than anything. He opens the little tag booklet and smiles as he reads.
If you need help, you only need ask.
Mike shook his head and slotted the key in, turned it, heard the click and opened the weighty lid to reveal its contents.
A white porcelain bowl with high walls and a little handle knob on the side. The rim of it and the butt of the handle are painted in fine china blue. The base of it is cork covered to stop it from moving on a counter. Next to the bowl, nestled in paper string worms is a shaving soap cake packaged like fancy waxed cheese. A finished wrought iron stand lays on its side amongst the paper worms. With the same sort of colouring as the stand is a bespoke looking safety razor. Fit with one, very sharp, blade under the rounded head at the end of a heavy handle. It feels nice when Mike holds it. The final piece of the set is a wide shaving brush with the same coloured handle as the stand and razor. Engraved with gold lettering is the company name and their trademark year. There is a soft plastic cover over the bristles to protect it.
Reading the maker’s card under the lid states it is 100% badger hair. The two soap cakes (the second being hidden by the paper stuffing) are scented how Mike thinks Victorian England would smell: a deep tobacco leaf base and notes of both earl grey and something that is rain on grass. It’s something Mike would think Harvey’s place would smell like on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Comforting.
Mike closes his eyes when he peels back a bit of the sticker seal on the waxed paper to get a good whiff. He has to stop himself from moaning at it. He’s being given a treat.
Service:
Sunday morning is a late one. Both of them are sleepy and warm. Neither wants to leave their bed. But one can only turn over and go back to sleep so many times.
Mike drags Harvey out of bed, earns a petulant whine and then an even more irked bleary glare. Thankfully what Mike is going to do for him involves minimal input from him. Harvey sees that Mike has put the medical stool he had when he sprained his ankle into the shower. Harvey’s going to sit while Mike bathes him. And isn’t that heaven. He’d never have thought of it himself.
Pushing down boxers and boxer-briefs, shedding sleep shirts, and for some god awful reason Mike pulls off sleep socks. (He got cold at night.) Mike makes sure the water is warm before holding Harvey’s hand like a gentleman and making sure his king is seated just under the warm spray. Making sure towels are there Mike finally follows and closes the glass door.
Leaning back into the water Harvey is in bliss. He had to leave the nest of heat and Mike’s smell behind to get it, but it’s worth it when he feels the warm water run through his hair and down his back and ass. It soothes him in a way nothing else can. When he opens his eyes it’s to Mike watching him lose himself.
“Yeah?” It’s said with a teasing smile.
Harvey nods and lets out a sigh. He’s in good hands. He closes his eyes again when Mike squeezes a bit of shampoo into the cup of his hand and brings it over Harvey’s hair, lathering his hands together for a moment before diving those wonderful fingers into the dark brown strands of Harvey’s hair.
The moan echoes loudly in the enclosed shower, stating how good this feels to Harvey. Mike’s little laugh is the answer. All sudsy, Mike gets Harvey to tip back and breath through his nose as he scrubs the shampoo out. It’s rough but good. They found out together how much pressure to use for each other.
He comes out of the spray and blows the water from his mouth, bringing his hands up to wipe his eyes. This part was never sexy, just close. However Harvey sends heat into Mike’s veins when he places his solid palms on Mike’s hips and pulls him forward a bit. He lays sweet kisses over Mike’s hips and across his lower belly, making sure to lick and lap over the begining of a prominent vein that leads down and among curly pubic hair.
Mike’s hand cups the back of Harvey’s head, thumb probably rubbing tangles into the one spot. They couldn’t care less when Harvey starts on a hickey, noticing the twitches of muscle underneath soft skin.
“Don’t- not yet. Want to finish this for you.” Mike’s protest is just loud enough above the shower’s noise.
Harvey pulls his mouth back and nods. His brown eyes promise things from the mischievous glint in them, but they stay their path for now.
Mike lathers in the conditioner, really massaging it in and earning sighs and hums and deep groans from his love. A warm woodsy scent is amplified, The shampoo was nice, the conditioner adds to it. While they wait for the conditioner Mike pulls the stool out from the water and switches with Harvey so he can quickly scrub his own hair clean. He forgoes the conditioner as he hates the feeling of it. He and Harvey and even Donna have had arguments about it. They stopped giving him shit when they realised he wasn’t going to cave.
Bringing Harvey back under the spray, Mike is thorough in getting the slick stuff out of that lovingly thick hair. Harvey smiles serenely and lets Mike handle him.
“Stand please.” Mike’s words are liquid in Harvey’s mind. It’s a familiar moment, not one done often, but Mike wants to. Harvey wants him to.
It's quick when Mike opens the shower door and puts the stool outside of it and out of their way. Sealing them in once more Mike takes the grey loofa off of the hook behind Harvey and soaks it under the water against Harvey’s back. Mike kisses Harvey’s chest like this, smiles into the press of lips before pulling away.
“Can I get all of you?”
Harvey’s eyes go so soft for Mike. “Of course. Does this include plans later?”
“It sure can.” Mike sees the small head tilt. “It will.”
Taking the bar of soap and rubbing it in the mesh of the puffball lathers it up and spreads bubbles all over the grey material. “Back first.”
Being presented with the unbroken expanse gives Mike the moment to appreciate it before going to work. He’s even in his circles, this perfect side of rough in the scrubbing, and neither of them comment when his one knee gives a loud crack as he lowers himself down on one to get at Harvey’s legs. He gives a soft pat to Harvey’s asscheek when he needs the man to turn back around. He’s faced with a wonderful problem. But he ignores it in favour of cleaning his love.
Before standing up he gives the root of it a little kiss. Harvey snorts and moans at the same time. It’s a strangled and delicious mess of a sound. They can wait a little longer. Mike is equally as even and thorough on this side too, lifting Harvey’s arms a bit to get his arm pits and then down his arms to between his fingers.
He rubs his own hand into the loofa and gives his soaped hand a few rubs in itself before reaching for Harvey’s cock. It’s firm and velvety in Mike’s easy grip. He’s quick with his cleaning, not wanting to drag this out much more. He runs his finger nails through neatly trimmed brown curls and is gentle with Harvey’s balls in his fingers.
Rinsing his hand off and doing one more soaping of his fingers he drops the loofa and reaches behind Harvey to get at his ass, using one hand to spread apart one cheek and the other to rub and clean and ultimately tease the hell out of his partner.
The shower is quickly shut off once Harvey and Mike have rinsed off. Mike can wash his own body later.
Affirmation:
They like to snark at each other. Give biting remarks. Bark things over breakfast or the negotiating table when there’s no client. They enjoy the banter and sneers. The bullying that’s really loving in disguise. Ribbing and winding each other up all work week or more. The teasing and taunting and challenging of each other.
Everyone has just about had it in the office. That is until a few people hear what can only be described as context.
They had had a bad month. Not just Harvey or Mike, but the whole firm. Something had happened with a client that tumbled into another, and another.
The ends of ropes are being found and arguments have started popping off.
It’s during a meeting with Jessica, Louis, a couple paralegals, and some support staff that it happens.
Mike is tapping his new, heavy, ballpoint pen on his legal pad of a few short notes as Harvey talks to the group from beside him.
In the middle of his sentence Harvey reaches over and closes his hand over Mike’s. His head turns to him. “Mike, I love you, but if you keep doing that I will kick you out of this meeting through the window.”
There’s laughter around the table. No one thinks he’s being sincere. And it’s a laugh at Mike’s fidgeting until Mike nods and instead brings the pen into both hands and starts playing with screwing the lid on and off again. It makes no sound and he even brings it down towards his lap so it’s out of Harvey’s peripheral vision.
“Sorry, Harvey, Love you too.” The smile they share in front of witnesses is warmer than anything anyone save for Jessica has seen before.
Harvey pets Mike’s knee and goes back to what he was saying.
From there, people start to pay attention to the things either not being said or the quieter taunts. It’s then easy to see how they both communicate their love to each other.
A long suffering sigh from Mike is accompanied by a very small smile. Even though he’s overwhelmed he does the work Harvey asked of him.
Looks sent over pages of documents and files and photos are bright and floaty, sometimes weighted with lust, other times so loving it hurts.
Donna opens Harvey’s door and hears as well as sees the soft way Harvey murmurs “I love you, sweetheart.” next to Mike on the leather couch. When he spots Donna at the open door he waves her over, takes the usb from her, and states with all the ire he can muster (which is absolutely nothing considering he likes Donna and has his partner near plastered to his side.) “If what you heard leaves this room I’ll have you fired and in Minnesota.”
She just smiles and shakes her head. “The whole office building knows by now. Your little show in the meeting a couple weeks ago has had the spotlight on you since.”
“Fine. The tone can’t leave this room then. It’s only for Mike’s ears.”
“Noted and filed. You guys- I’m glad you found each other.”
“I am too.” Mike says it as he looks up from his highlighting, cheeks just pink but his body relaxed into Harvey’s.

Mike Ross x Fem!Reader: Rivals
Y/N = Your Name
* I do not own the characters or plot or the tv show, Suits *
Masterlist
You're Louis Litt's associate and he's Harvey Specter's associate. You're quiet and he's loud. You went to Yale and he "went to" Harvard. You're a genius and so is he.
You're each other's biggest rival at Pearson-Hardman.
After a long week, you find yourself in the file room retrieving something for Louis. Suddenly, the door swings open, and Mike walks in. He doesn’t notice you at all and continues talking loudly and annoyingly on his phone.
You snap, "God, just shut up! You really got quite the mouth on you, don't you? Someone should teach you what to do with it!" His head snaps towards you, he ends his call, and asks, "What's your problem, Y/N?" You stand up and answer, "You're always talking and sometimes I just need quiet to work." He takes a step closer and asks, "Shouldn't you have chosen a workplace that wasn’t a law firm for peace?" You shrug and answer, "Maybe so... to think, I was going to work for corporate America in business management at first." He replies, "I wouldn't be enjoying work as much if you weren't here." You notice how close he is and you see the vibrancy of the blue in his eyes. He glances down at your lips once then back into your eyes.
The door swings open, you both slightly jump apart, and Donna says, "Mike, Harvey needs that file now!" Mike nods and Donna smirks at you as she closes the door.
You leave the room without saying another word.
You're at the monthly firm dinner. Devon had cornered you when you first walked in pestering you with questions and Mike tried to break it up, but gave up quickly. You finally escape Devon and you find a quieter spot in the busy place to eat in peace.
Mike slides into the seat across from you and exclaims, "Finally you're free of him, I was waiting to talk with you." You reply, "You have other friends though." He replies, "Not like you." You reply, "If I had to guess, I would say you were jealous of my friendship with Devon." He replies, "Maybe." He starts to reach over to steal your food and you slap his food away saying, "No, I'm not letting you take a bite because I know you're not gonna like it. Then you're going to ask me how the heck I like it and I don't want to listen to that right now." He asks, "How do you know what I like?" You answer, "You hated the place Louis took us on May 1st. I believe your words were inedible trash. This is just an upscale version of it." He asks, "How do you remember that?" You answer, "I remember things about people I care about." His eyes widen in what you think is shock as Louis walks up.
Louis says, "How are you two enjoying the dinner? Y/N, you couldn't pick someone better to sit with." You hear, "I could say the same thing about you." You see Harvey standing there smirking at Louis. You all talk until they leave.
You leave the dinner when Louis tells you it is socially acceptable to leave.
You're waiting for a cab when you hear, "You shouldn't be out here alone." You see Mike and reply, "Good thing I'm not alone anymore." He says, "Hey look, can we go grab a drink somewhere preferably not with our colleagues?" You answer, "Uh sure, where should we go?" He replies, "I saw a bar this way, follow me." He holds his hand out for you and you take it as you walk down the street.
Mike orders you both a drink and you sit on the same side of a booth facing this karaoke area. You ask, "So why the sudden desire to have a drink with me?" He answers, "I just think we should talk. We've been more flirty than normal recently and I didn't like seeing you around Devon." You reply, "It's against company policy for us to date." He replies, "Good thing we can keep a secret." You ask, "Are you being serious right now?" He answers, "Yes I'm dead serious about dating you in secret. It will all be worth it if I call you mine." You reply, "Ok... will Donna say anything about our almost kiss in the file room?" He answers, "No she won't. She asked me after that when I would ask you out. I've kinda liked you for a while." You smile and say, "I've kinda liked you for a while too." You lean against his side as you listen to terrible karaoke before he takes you home. You kiss him good night and send him on his way home.

Dancing with the Stars
Chapter 4 : Burlesque
The performance from last time had definitely left a lasting impression. Until then, they had been the duo that everyone loved and hoped to see more of, wanting to see them as more than just co-stars, as after their Paso Doble, people went wild on social media. In the meantime, they had also participated in Disney-themed night, and while Donna had chosen to mix rock’n’roll and contemporary dance, the performance was highly praised, as usual. Donna, being a Broadway veteran, found incorporating acting into the dance a real pleasure, though it was a bit more challenging for Harvey. While people liked their dance, it was mainly the costumes and the theme they had chosen that sparked reactions: The Little Mermaid. Harvey wore a simple white shirt, slightly unbuttoned, and black pants, while Donna made quite an entrance in a blue dress with a black corset that highlighted her thin waist and a large bow in her long red hair, referencing the boat scene from the movie. The duo quickly became known as the « royal couple », a nod to their chosen theme. Since then, barely had the performance ended on Friday night than Harvey and Donna found themselves back at the studio on Monday morning — the guy filled with excitement at the thought of seeing the fiery redhead again, and Donna anxious about the week's theme. As soon as they arrived, they waited for the cameras to roll, playing along and announcing the theme with dramatic flair before the crew left them to rehearse. With everyone gone, the young athlete approached his partner, noticing the slight stress on her face.
« Are you alright? »
« Of course, why do you ask? »
« I don’t know, you seem a bit.. distracted »
« Oh, it’s just that I have a lot on my mind »
« Is it about this week’s theme? »
« Yeah »
« What’s going on? »
« How can I explain that. Burlesque is actually quite complicated »
As she whispered, running her hands through her red locks, she could feel Harvey’s gaze on her and decided to look up at him as he smiled.
« What do you mean? »
« It’s all about the tease »
« Oh »
For a few seconds, neither of them said anything. Seeing Harvey looking a bit lost, Donna straightened up and shifted into her professional posture. She then began to explain what burlesque was, taking advantage of the moment to give a brief theoretical lesson, and as she spoke, she subtly hinted to the footballer that the dance they had done two weeks ago was nothing compared to what they were about to face.
« Burlesque is not just a dance. It’s about acting, moving, timing. You have to catch the audience’s attention, making them want more without showing too much. It’s about finding the perfect balance between teasing and being secretive. Got it? »
« I think so »
« Paso Doble was more about passion and some kind of power too, but right now, it’s more… subtle? You need to be less blunt, less fast, while still keeping a certain passion »
« I see, yes »
« Before, we were more focused on figures, lifts, and coordination, but now, you'll need to use more of your charm »
« My charm? Oh, please, you couldn’t have picked better. Plus, with you and me together, we’ll charm everyone. Have you seen how crazy they are for us on social media? Let me tell you, this dance is going to steal the fucking show » snorted Harvey.
« Let's get to work then » chuckled Donna.
If Harvey was convinced that nothing could be worse than the Paso Doble, the moment he saw the redhead positioning a chair in the middle of the room, he swallowed hard, realizing that this was going to be anything but cool.
« Sit down »
At that moment, he sat down, staring at her like an idiot, his eyes wide open and already sweating bullets. She positioned herself behind him, explaining that they would both start with solos, before placing her hands on his muscular shoulders, gently pressing her fingertips into his skin. She then counted softly to eight to set the tempo, all while showing him the upper body movements as he was still sitting. Without warning, she moved to the side, only to find herself a split second later straddling him, both of them face to face, their chests almost touching as she continued to count, indicating the rhythm of the dance. Harvey swallowed hard as his gaze got lost in her hazel-green eyes.
« Wrap your arms around my lower back and hold me tight »
Without a word, he complied, and as she threw herself backward, Harvey felt her back arch against his forearms as he took a few seconds to admire the way her ribs showed between her leggings and her bra before he heard her murmur.
« Pull me against you. Hard »

Feelings 12/12.. I think?
My grandfather thought they were killing him. I'm not sure if this was before or after he attempted to wrap the cords around his own neck in the hospital; Oxy is never good. I wish I never knew how good they hurt recreationally... They removed a tumor from his brain & he's left by himself among a people that are paid to care for him at night.. they weren't there in line waiting at White Castle while he told a story from his childhood that fell on deaf ears because two boys from different worlds come together, their grandfathers happen to be brothers. i'm sure Uncle Thomas misses him. One day those gates will open & with open arms, he'll welcome my grandfather... later, rather than sooner...I just wish he could see how much he means to us; how much he means to me. Stay with us just a little bit longer. I'm not sure what it would do to your son, but that would be selfish of us. What is the right answer when it comes to death? Are we asking too much when we hold on? Who should bear the weight of the pain; those living with it, or those that will? One must imagine Sisyphus happy, I wonder if we all have a bit of Sisyphus in us; we know how the story concludes, right? The immutable end.
Old man winter; a lovely Ale & why this scarf is wrapped around my neck. Palestine is integral to a free people across the world & this genocidal epoch will determine who we are as a humankind. it doesn't require much critical thought to decipher who is at fault...but whether we do what it right despite the pressures of the powers that be...that is what will define us going forward as a people.
I'm ranting, I know. This is the first time I've expressed myself in written form in so long though, so relaxing as I stare at the Albert Camus on the shelf. I swear i'm not pretentious or a prick; i'm more self-effacing if anything, but that feels completely opposite when I say it..

Donna hears that and processes it and storms out of the room with tears in her eyes. She doesn't leave the hospital - leaving Harvey is what got them there in the first place, right? - but she waits in the hall for another hour, and then it's two. Louis calls but she can't answer.
Harvey calls. She doesn't bother moving down the hall to keep him from hearing her voice outside of the room; she wants him to know she's there. Even if he doesn't want her to be.
"What?" It's not a particularly polite or soft greeting. Donna may be a bit bitter that she's been magnetically attracted to his hospital room door and that she feels like she can't leave or else she'll be ruining things all over again.
"Hey," he sighs through the speaker. "You back at the office?"
"... Not yet."
Another exhale. Donna grips her phone with white knuckles. Say you're sorry.
"I wanted to- You know."
"No, I don't."
"... I'm sorry for what I said to you." The issue is that she does know, but she couldn't survive a lifetime of never hearing him apologize so she makes him, over and over. But the apology doesn't do what she thought it would. "Thank you for coming."
I'm still here, she wants to say. "You were hurt, Harvey. I told you once and I'll say it again - I still care about you. That's never stopped." It never will.
There's a shaky intake of breath on the other line, a rattle of static only discernable to her. She thinks about him, alone in the hospital room, stuck with an IV and surrounded by nothing familiar to him-
"Would you come back?"
It's a quiet request. Choked out on swallowed pride. He's alone in a hospital, or so he thinks, clinging to the idea of her and still holding out hope for what can't happen. She'd love to come back to his desk - but she'd just love him, forever, and that's cannot be a chip on her shoulder forever.
"You know I can't." Pause, take a deep breath. "Not yet."
And then she opens his door. She can't come back to his desk, but she can come back to him now; she can be there for him, now.
As he stares at her, teary eyed and lips parted, she takes the phone from her ear and hangs up before closing his door again and moving towards him. He looks at her like she's magic - like he conjured her from thin air, like this was all he wanted. And-
"You came back."
Harvey murmurs it so firmly, as though this proves a point: She can come back, and she will. They both know this isn't the return he really wanted, but right now, it's enough.
She extends a hand to his cheek. Something he recoiled from once before is now something he leans into, letting her catch the stray tears that he wasn't able to restrain. Donna doesn't know what to say - she finds she can't say anything, an extremely rare occurrence, when Harvey looks up at her with watery eyes and a steel gaze.
"I'm sorry," he says again. "It's- I just-"
"I know," she tries to get ahead of him but-
"It's just been really hard."
And now she's crying again, too.
She refuses to apologize - even though every fiber of her being wants to, desperately, for hurting him, for causing this - she can't. She didn't do this to hurt him. She did this to avoid hurting herself.
But still...
"I didn't want this to happen," Donna tells him anyway, something she hopes he already knew.
He nods. It feels sore. "I know."
They go quiet. A lot was said and the situation isn't really fixed, because although this is resolved between them, they can't try to reverse everything and make it whole again. Donna split them into two people. Now they have to try to be whole by themselves even when they feel like they're two halves with throbbing, open wounds.
This can't be undone. Harvey's panic attacks were because of her, and they both need to live with that now.
She brushes her fingers over his forearm where the IV is taped down, and suddenly, the weight of his arms is draping around her hips and pulling her into him; his face pressed into her abdomen, breathing her in and almost seeming to make an attempt to fuse them back together.
His shoulders shake.
She winds her arms around them, with equaled urgency, and holds him everything she has - even the parts that are telling herself not to fall back into his trap. To cut it off where he ends and she begins.
The issue is-
Wrapped up in him in this hospital room, feeling his tears bleed into her dress and his hands surely pressed into her back like they've rediscovered the indentations he made over a decade ago-
She's not sure where that point is anymore.
hmm . harvey passes out from a panic attack and ends up in the hospital cus he was so dehydrated and like for me it’s about the fact donna isn’t sure if she should rush to the hospital or not. like god she wants to she needs to more than anything but she’s not his wife secretary anymore it’s not her job to take care of him and she’s desperately trying to keep the boundaries she’s set. but it’s harvey and he’s hurt and so obviously she goes and sits in the waiting room and harvey’s fine basically they just pump fluids into him but she thinks he’d be better be so grateful she came to see him despite the fact she didn’t have to it’s not her job and harvey wakes up and the first thing he says is “this wouldn’t have happened if you had stuck around.”

Into The Lioness’ Den
Harvey Specter x Reader
A/N okay so we are drawing from Rebel’s life again with this one. This is how I felt after the shitshow of a day, I mean I screamed piss off any my computer for gods sake 😂 and basically told my boyfriend we were getting chicken nuggies for dinner because they make everything better.

“Harvey we have a problem” Mike sighed walking into the office. “Well technically you have a problem”
“What now?” Harvey sighed looking up from his laptop.
“Just come outside the office and you will see,” Mike said, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“You better not be wasting my time Ross” Harvey glared, pushing himself up from his desk, following Mike out of the office.
The moment he stepped onto the floor, he didn’t need to ask what the problem was and why it was now his problem. He knew instantly. The sounds of Eminem being blasted out from the other end of the office told him everything he needed to know. And he knew what he needed to do.
“Donna I need you to go to McDonald’s and get me a share box of chicken nuggets and mozzarella dippers, then I need you to go to Starbucks and get the biggest iced coffee with an extra shot and salted caramel syrup” he said without missing a beat.
“On it” Donna nodded, taking the money off Harvey before practically running through the office like it was a life or death mission.
“Aren’t you going to go in there now?” Mike asked.
“Not until I have the coffee and food” Harvey nodded “has anyone tried going into her office?”
“Yeah Louis tried and I swear Y/N ripped him a new one”
“He never bloody learns” Harvey sighed “how long has this been going on?”
“About an hour, and before you say anything you were in a meeting” Mike nodded.
“Just keep everyone away from her office, I will deal with my wife” he chuckled pulling his phone out as he wandered back into his office grabbing the pack of emergency cigarettes he kept in the top draw of his desk.
This explained the angry gifs he had been getting over the last hour. Someone or something had pissed you off and he knew you were done and ready to explode.
Not long later Donna came back with the food and coffee, and Harvey was walking down the office with everyone staring at him, like he was about to walk into the lion's den.
If there was anyone people were more scared off than Harvey it was his wife. But he knew just how to diffuse the situation.
Slowly he opened the door to the office, closing it behind him. You had your back to the door, your feet up on the cabinets behind your desk so you didn’t see anyone walk into the office until the music was turned down.
“If you want to live turn that back on and fuck off” you growled not looking up from your phone.
“Not going to happen Princess” Harvey chuckled, placing the bag of food and iced coffee in front of you. “Now what’s going on in that pretty little head of yours”
“I’m just done” you snapped, ripping the bag open to get to the nuggets. “I swear the assholes are out in force today and it’s national piss Y/N off day and to top everything off I’ve ran out of cigarettes. So thanks for the food and all but fuck off I want to be alone”
“You really think I’m going anywhere” he whispered crouching in front of you, placing his hand on your knee, smiling slightly as he saw you were wearing one of his sweaters. “Now here is what is going to happen, you are going to eat because we all know chicken nuggets make everything better, then you and me are leaving for the day. No more work, just a nice hot bath and a movie night. Then we are going to pack a bag for a couple of days and we are going to get away for a couple of days, we can go anywhere you want”
“I said I want to be alone” you huffed.
“I know that is a lie, I saw your eyes light up when I said what we are going to do” he smiled, rubbing his thumb over your knee.
“Anywhere?” You asked with a mouthful of nugget.
“Anywhere, just you and me baby, we can shut the whole world out” he smiled, kissing the top of your head. “Now come on eat up, and let’s get out of here and also here”
A fresh pack of cigarettes landed in your lap making him you look up at him as you sipped your coffee.
“Wait, you keep a pack of cigs on you?” You asked.
“For times like this” he nodded. “What can I say I know what my wife is like”

Secrets, Secrets.
Harvey Specter x Reader
"Harvey Specter's office," Harvey answered his phone with a suaveness that let you know he recognized the number ringing through to this direct line, as opposed to being connected by Donna's line.
"Wow, so this is what the handsome Harvey Specter sounds like... I wouldn't know since I haven't been able to see him in DAYS." You whined, knowing it wasn't exactly the fault of the man on the other end of the phone, but choosing to complain anyway. Mike and Rachel had been staying with you in your apartment for the last week, something about the water in their building being off, which meant any chance you had of spending nights with Mike's boss was at a zero.
Harvey sighed, hating to hear you upset, and missing you himself. He would've been more than willing to let you stay with him at his place over the last week, however, he knew better than to let you lie to Mike. You were a terrible liar, and the whole thing would blow up in both your faces in about three seconds. You'd only been seeing each other for about 2 months, and up until now it had been pretty easy to hide from Mike. He didn't suspect a thing, so you didn't exactly have to lie.
"I know, pretty girl. I'm sorry. I miss you too. Do you know when their water will be back up and running?"
"I think they said they'll be gone by tomorrow." You paused for a moment, thinking about how, even though you'd be able to be with Harvey again, you'd still be hiding in plain sight from your big brother. "I wish we didn't have to keep this from him..." You said, a bit dejectedly. You and Harvey had both agreed that once things were really serious between you two, you'd tell Mike the truth, but the time felt like it was dragging. The longer you waited, the more torturous it felt not telling him.
Harvey's heart ached, he wanted you happy more than anything else in the world. To hell with your agreement, he was ready to tell Mike, even if it got him punched in the face.
"Let's tell him" Harvey said, shocking you. A big smile crept across your face, you couldn't help the way your heart leaped at the thought of going public with Harvey. You were still nervous about how he'd react, though.
"Okay, deal. Let's tell him in public though. Just in case things get... violent." You suggested. Harvey chuckled at this, knowing you both had the same mental image of Mike's fist in Harvey's face.
"That sounds like a good idea. Meet me in my office at 9am tomorrow, I've got some time between clients and Mike has a meeting out of the office at 10:30."
"9am it is. Alright baby, I'll let you get back to work. I just wanted to call 'cause I missed you. I'll see you tomorrow" You said. You wished you were in his arms now, but happy that come tomorrow you could finally be out in the open.
"I'll see you then gorgeous." Harvey replied, a small smile on his face as he hung up the phone. He was facing the window, and so wrapped up in his conversation that he hadn't noticed Donna walk in and seat herself on his couch.
"Who was that?" She asked excitedly, making Harvey jump about a foot in the air. "That was Y/N, wasn't it?"
"That was none of your business, don't you have work to do or something?"
"I'M RIGHT, IT WAS!" She nearly yelled, now out of her seat and standing in front of Harvey at his desk. He had on his best poker face, trying not to let Donna see any semblance of a reaction. "You're totally dating her. Have you guys told Mike? Can I film it when you do?"
"Can you PLEASE go... answer an email or something? Anything but this." Harvey pleaded, desperate for this conversation to be over. Maybe Donna would get amnesia from the last five minutes and never mention it again. At least, not until after tomorrow. Mike absolutely could not find out about this from anyone other than himself and Y/N or it would be a complete shit-show for everyone.
"Fine, but only because I actually do have a lot to do today. We WILL continue this conversation later. Secrets secrets are no fun, Harvey! Oh, hey Mike! I was just... leaving!" Donna said, smiling at Mike who was standing in the doorway.
He watched her leave over his shoulder before turning back to Harvey.
"What was that about?" He asked, gesturing at Donna. Harvey absentmindedly waved a hand and brushed it off as her being dramatic.
Mike shrugged, seemingly having bought the excuse. Harvey mentally sighed a sigh of relief as he barely listened to the words coming out of the younger man's mouth. Something about the case he was working on, but Harvey couldn't focus. He was actually starting to get nervous about telling him. He knew how much you valued your brother's opinions since he was really your only living family, and he already loved Mike like his own brother. Disappointing him and losing you because of that might just kill Harvey, at least it felt that way to him. Even though you hadn't been together all that long, he knew deep down that you were it for him. He had never felt this way with any girl before, even Scottie couldn't compare to what he felt for you.
Eventually, after giving half-assed answers that Mike was apparently satisfied with, he thanked Harvey for his help and went back to his office, leaving Harvey to himself for the rest of the day until he poked his head in to say goodbye when he left that night.
The time until he finally got to see you the next morning both crawled and flew for Harvey. On one hand, he couldn't wait to hold you again, however he wasn't exactly looking forward to letting Mike in on your secret.
The drive to Mike and Harvey's office felt like it took forever as you practiced what you'd say to your brother over and over in your head. You finally arrived, texting Harvey that you were heading up in the elevator. When you got up, he was waiting for you in the lobby. He smiled politely, acting like merely an acquaintance, not wanting to cause any suspicions. You followed his lead, acting casual as you weaved through the halls behind him.
He took you into his office, sitting you down on the couch. Your hands shook as you smoothed out the sundress you wore. Harvey noticed, because of course he did, and gave you a sad smile.
"It's gonna be okay, honey. No matter what he thinks, or says, I will always be here."
You blinked back a few tears, nodding.
"I'll always be here too, Harvey." You whispered.
He squeezed your shoulder before going to get Mike. You practiced breathing exercises as you waited for them to enter, and when they finally did, your heart nearly beat out of your chest.
"Y/N? What are you doing here? Are you okay?" Mike asked, immediately concerned you'd gotten yourself into some kind of trouble.
"She's fine, we have something to tell you, Mike," Harvey said "Take a seat."
Mike looked between the two of you before sighing.
"Don't tell me, you guys are... together?" He asked, his tone nothing short of uncomfortable. The idea of you and Harvey hooking up made his stomach turn.
"Uh, yeah. We're together." Harvey said, and Mike sat quietly.
You nervously interjected before he had a chance to respond. "We wanted to wait to tell you until we were sure it was something real and... It is. Please don't be mad, Mike. Harvey makes me really happy and I promise we didn't mean for this to happen we just-" Mike held up a hand, cutting you off.
"Y/N, it's fine. I appreciate you telling me, and if you're happy, so am I." He said, a weight falling off your shoulders. "But, if you hurt my little sister, we won't be having this same conversation." He warned Harvey. Harvey grinned and nodded in understanding.
"Thanks, Mike. I'm glad you're being so cool about this." You said, leaning over to hug him. When you finished, Mike stood up to shake Harvey's hand.
"Now, if you guys don't mind, I have work to do so I'll see you guys later. Mike said, leaving the two of you alone in the room.
You stared in silence for a moment, shocked at how well it had gone over. You felt like he was going to come back in screaming, throwing things, something. But he didn't.
Harvey snapped out of his shock before you, sitting down beside you and taking your hands in his.
"Well, now that that's over..." He began, leaning in to kiss you. A shiver went up your spine, you were fuzzy all over with joy. Finally, you could kiss your boyfriend in public, in front of anyone you wanted.
"What do you say we go out for a celebratory dinner and drinks tonight?" Harvey offered.
"I'd love that."
"Hi, can I interject? I was SO right!" Donna said before going back to her desk to celebrate her yet again correct intuition. You and Harvey couldn't help but crack up, leaning into each other as he placed a gentle kiss on the top of your head. Finally, he felt a relief he didn't even know he was craving all this time.

Harvey Specter x Reader-Pretend Boyfriend (Fake Dating)
My fourth entry for @girl-next-door-writes bingo challenge! I hope you enjoy!
(Credit to the gif owner)
Third Person POV
“Hey, Harves,” Y/n greeted in a chirpy tone, the sound of her heels clicking against the floor as she sauntered into his office with a huge smile on her face, placing an expensive bottle of single malt whiskey on his desk.
“What do you want ?” Harvey asked, his eyes flicking up from the file for a few seconds, before focusing back on what he was reading.
“Who says I want something?” She said, slightly taken aback by his comment as she sat down in the chair on the other side of his desk. A small chuckle left his lips as he placed the file to the side of the table, examining the bottle that she placed on his desk before his eyes moved to focus properly on her.
“You only ever call me Harves when you want something, plus you’re being outlandishly nice,” he observed, his eyes glancing back to the whiskey bottle.
“I’m always nice!” she corrected with a sweet smile on her face. Her actions only caused Harvey to raise an eyebrow in confusion. He knew she was hiding something, normally he’d be answered with a much wittier comment than ‘I’m always nice,’. The pair sat in silence for a few moments, their eyes burning into eachothers, as they tried to work out who would cave first and break the silence. Y/n was debating whether to give up the sherrade she was clearly failing at portraying whilst Harvey tried to work out what she was hiding from him.
“Fine,” she sighed in defeat, running a hand through her long y/h/c locks.
“My parents are in town and they think I have a boyfriend,” Y/n began, a wave of anxiety washing over her as the words left her lips. She knew this was probably a stupid idea, but it was too late to leave now, she was in the lions den now, trying to leave wasn’t really an option.
“And do you?” Harvey asked, knowing the answer before it even left your lips. He knew damn well that you wouldn’t be here if you did.
“Do you think I’d be here if I did?” Y/n bit back, a hint of frustration in her voice. Harvey couldn’t help but let another small chuckle escape his lips as he looked how flustered Y/n was becoming; in all the years they’d known each other this was the only time he’d ever really seen her this nervous.
“So let me get this straight, you want me to be your boyfriend?” He smirked as the words left his mouth, taking pure pleasure in teasing her.
“Pretend boyfriend, you just have to come for dinner at mine, meet them and then we can go back to our normal lives,” Y/n explained simply, a pondering look came across Harveys face as he processed the words she’d just said.
“Plus you owe me, you all but scared off the last guy I was seeing,”
“I’m your friend, I merely warned him about what would happen if he hurt you, so what?” He defended; the memories of that particular conversation with her ex playing back in his head. Harvey was good at reading people, it was something that he prided himself on and that’s how he knew that that man wasn’t any good for her but he also knew that it was Y/n decision, so he just warned him what would happen if he hurt her, he knew she didn’t have a particularly good history when it came to dating and that last thing he wanted to see was her get hurt because some asshole didn’t know how to treat her.
“So, that means you owe me,” Y/n pointed out with an almost pleading look in her eye. Y/n knew that this was such a bizarre thing to ask, to most people it probably wouldn’t even matter, but she knew better than anyone what her parents were like and if she didn’t have a boyfriend to show them, then the whole evening would just be about why she doesn’t and that it was probably to do with her work. Her parents were lovely people most of the time, but they were quite old fashioned in the sense that they didn’t understand why she’d want to work countless hours during the week when she could be a stay at home wife and no matter how much Y/n explained her reason for doing it, the conversation near enough always ended in an argument and right now Y/n just didn’t want to deal with all of that. Harveys features softened slightly as he looked at her, he could see ther desperation evidently in her y/ec eyes and he hated it, he hated seeing her upset.
“When’s the dinner?” He asked, with a smile on his face, watching as the relief seemed to wash over Y/n.
“Tomorrow at 6,” she answered quickly; hoping that he’d still be able to make it on such short notice.
“It’s a date,” Harvey joked, feeling his heart swell slightly at the sight of her beaming smile. Y/n quickly said her thank yous and left the office, happiness and relief emanating off of her. Harvey eyes followed her out of the room, before meeting Donnas gaze when Y/n vanished from view. Donnas glance said it all, it was a glance she’d given him multiple times in regards to you. A look that screamed, ‘Tell her the goddamn truth.’ Donna like Harvey, could read people very well, she was Donna, there wasn’t a thing she didn’t know. And she knew that they both had feelings for each other. She knew that they both had their reasons for not wanting to admit them, neither of them had a particularly good track record when it came to relationships and neither of them wanted to hurt each other and ruin the friendship that they had built but she was hoping hoping that now, after this dinner, they might actually admit their feelings to one another, and if they didn’t then she might just lock them in a room until they did.

First Person POV
“So how long have you two been dating” My mum asked, sipping her wine.
“Umm..only a few months,” I answered, mentally cursing myself for stuttering on such a simple answer. Harvey obviously sensed how anxious I was about this and delicately grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers together, his thumb rubbing soothing circles on the back of my hand. I was surprised no one heard my heart beating, that simple action was enough to have it beating like I’d just run a marathon.
“How did you meet?” She asked in a sickly sweet tone.
“At work, we work in the same law firm together,”
“I guess that means you’ll be provided for then” my dad instantly said as soon as the words left my mouth.
“Dad,I can look after myself,” I reminded, making sure that my tone didn’t show any of the annoyance I was currently feeling.
“Nonsense, at your age I’d already had you and your brother,” my mum argued, a flicker of disappointment momentarily clouding her eyes as she looked at me.
“Well I’m focusing on my career, rather than having children,” I answered honestly, only for my dad to scoff at my answer, shaking his head disapprovingly.
“I know you enjoy your job but is it really what you want to spend the rest of your life doing, being a lawyer is a great opportunity but it’s nothing compared to having a family,” he finally said, not meeting my eyes once. I went to say something but before I could he’d already started speaking again, but this time his eyes were on Harvey.
“What do you think on the matter Harvey, surely a respectable man such as yourself would understand that it’s a man's job to provide and a woman's job to stay at home,” as my father said those words I could see the rage flicker in Harveys eyes, as he squeezed my hand harder.
“Y/n is an amazing lawyer, one of the best I’ve ever known, I’d never ask or expect her to give up the career she’s worked her ass of to build,” Harvey answered bluntly, taking a swig of his whiskey.

Third Person POV
Y/ns parents obviously didn’t like what Harvey had said in regards to Y/n, it was obvious not just in how they looked at him but with how silent they’d grown. Before, it felt like they were playing a game of twenty questions but now, Y/n struggled to get more than a one word answer from them. Harvey felt his heart ache for her, he knew that she loved them that was clear by how hard she was trying to impress them, he could see the sadness in her eyes at their blunt replies. He wanted nothing more than to hold her, to tell her that her parents' view on the world was medieval and outdated but he couldn’t do that with her parents here, so he just squeezed her hand softly, grabbing her attention as his thumb slowly circles onto the back of her hand. A small smile graced her face before she continued to eat the food in front of her. The dinner soon ended and her parents soon left, they couldn’t get out the door fast enough whilst muttering goodbye as they left.
As soon as they left, Y/n let out a huge sigh as she gathered up the empty plates putting them into the sink, Harvey being the gentleman that he was, gathered up all of the empty glasses and placed them into the sink.
“Are you okay?” Harvey asked breaking the silence that’d been engulfing them since her parents left.
“I’m fine, I’m sorry,” Y/n answered, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over her.
“Why are you apologising?” The confusion was clear in not only his voice but in his demeanor as well.
“For my parents, I know they’re kind of-
“Medieval,” Harvey finished with a solemn smile on his face, Y/n just nodded at his words, another long sigh escaping her lips.
“It’s late, Harvey you should probably go,” Y/n said, making her way towards the front door. Harvey nodded in agreement, grabbing his coat and putting it on. The closer he walked towards the door, towards her, the faster he felt his heart beating almost like it could beat out of his chest. Y/n went to open the door but was stopped by something completely unexpected. Harvey kissing her. Their lips molded perfectly together like they were made for each other, instantly she placed her hands on his face whilst he grabbed her waist, both of them pulling the other closer than ever before. She’d heard that he was a good kisser, but this, this was unlike any kiss she’d ever had before, it was an intoxicating high that she never wanted to end. A small whimper left her lips when they finally pulled away from the kiss, a huge smile beaming on both of their faces.
“I have been waiting so long to do that,” Harvey muttered against her lips, squeezing her hips lightly as he placed a delicate kiss on the tip of her nose, a small giggle coming from Y/n as he did so.
“I like you, Harvey,” she whispered to him, their lips inches apart.
“I like you too, Y/n,” Harvey whispered back before closing the distance between their lips.

Author’s Note: Hello ladies, greetings. It's my first time writing Harvey's fanfic. Soooooo, I’m a nervous wreck, not to mention that English isn’t my first language. But well, here goes nothing. Tell me what you think! Happy reading and thank you :)
Pairing: Harvey Specter x Female Character Word Count: 1768 Warnings: Few curse words, mention of pregnancy loss
The clacking of her heels echoed loudly through the buzzing hallway filled with muffled conversations. She nodded curtly at Donna who gave her a confused look. She swung the glass door to Harvey’s office with so much force that Donna was sure it might fly out of its hinges, the glass door closed as soon as it was opened. Donna raised her eyebrows in confusion and hoped that Harvey didn’t turn off the intercom the second she stepped in. Donna just shook her head and went back to the tasks at hand. —----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“How dare you?” She tried to sound as calm as she could, but Harvey could hear how pissed the woman in front of him felt from miles away. “A “Good morning, darling. I’m so sorry I left so early this morning. Work being hectic” should suffice,” Harvey said without even looking up from the document on his desk. “Don’t play smart with me. What the fuck is this?” She slid the blue folder to his desk. He calmly opened the folder, knowing damn well the content of it, but still, he pretended to flip over the documents in his hands. He couldn’t afford to look panic in front of her right now. “How fucking dare you, Harvey” This time, instead of talking in a calm poised but reeking with anger, her voice came out above a whisper. He finally looked up at her for the first time since she walked into his office. “Baby..” Harvey was about to reason with her when she raised her arm. “Don’t baby me. This whole damn city knows how much you hate it when people sniff around your case but you..” before she can even finish herself, Harvey stood up “I wasn’t sniffing around your case. It was a mere help. You are struggling, I’m helping. What’s the harm in that?” Harvey rounded his desk and stood in front of her, trying to get her to see his reasons. “Yes yes yes, I am struggling but I don’t need your help. You’re not even signed to this case with me. It’s my case. My first case since I got back. You just can’t help yourself making this about you, can’t you?” Harvey was taken aback by what she said. Her face was red and her voice wavered. Harvey cursed himself. “It’s not about me, it’s about helping you in this case. Can’t I help you?” Harvey took another step closer to her. “Again Harvey, the help I don’t fucking need! And don’t make it look like I don’t know how you get that evidence. We know damn well how you get that and I don’t want it near my case. I will ask you if I do need your help, won’t I?” This time, it’s her who took another step closer to Harvey. They stood nose-to-nose now. “You don’t know how hard I have been working my ass off to get where I am right now. Haven’t you heard, Harvey? What people called me? Spare Specter. And this, what you did around my case, seemingly just proved that I am indeed a Spare Specter.” She pointed her well-manicured finger to his chest. Harvey was about to open his mouth when she said “Don’t you dare sniff around my case or ask anyone in God’s green earth about my case or so help me God.” She turned around, leaving a very much bamboozled Harvey. It took Harvey a few seconds before he tried to chase her. 5 long strides later and he grabbed her forearm. He spun her only to see full anger in her eyes “Let go of me or I’ll scream bloody murder, Harvey. I have work to do.” With that, she yanked her hand and walked away with the same loud clacking of her red sole. Harvey watched with his brows drawn together, lips forming thin lines. “What the hell was that?” Donna stood up from her chair and tried to get Harvey’s attention. Harvey looked at Donna with the same expression and motioned her to follow him to his office. —----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“She knew that I planted new eye-opening evidence on her case,” Harvey said as he poured himself two fingers. “And she never asked for your help,” Donna said as she carefully watched Harvey. He gave her a small nod and Donna sighed. “No wonder she looked like she was about to burn this place down.” Donna chuckled to provoke any reaction from Harvey. He just looked at her with a pensive look. “Do you know that people have been calling her Spare Specter?” Donna looked surprised that Harvey knew about this. She made sure that it didn't reach her boss’ ears, unless… “Between our wedding and then we lost our baby and us moving house and this case.” Harvey ran his hands over his face and sighed. “When she was my associate, I made her work very hard. I made her stay the night here over complicated cases. I was ruthless with her but now she’s my wife. The fact that we just lost a baby, the doctor told her to take at least 2 months off, and Jessica backed up what the doctor recommended. But look where she is now, after only what? 3 weeks off?” Harvey sighed again and rubbed his temple. He looked at Donna “I can’t see her like this, Donna. This case is wearing her out.” Donna gave her a sympathetic look. “I get where you’re going, Harvey. But you are right about her being called Spare Specter. She made me swear not to let it reach your ears. And I’m sorry that I’ve been keeping this away from you. But if she needs your help, she’ll come to you. It wasn’t an easy road for her to be where she is right now and certainly not an easy road for her to keep where she is right now. This is her way of grieving your baby, Harvey. Your way is also the same as hers, drown yourself in work. Instead of meddling in her case, just ask her what she needs you to do.” Harvey nodded weakly and Donna’s words. “I’ll come to her now, I’ll bring her home and take the rest of the day off.” Donna sighed, she thought Harvey understands. “Let her work. Drop lunch at her office later today, and leave her the hell alone for the rest of the day. She’s pissed. If you say or do anything, she’ll be even more pissed.” Harvey nodded again and seemingly will take Donna’s advice. “I’ll order the oyster chowder and garlic bread she likes.” Harvey nodded again and thanked Donna before sending her out of his office. —----------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Here, steaming hot,” Donna said as she placed the food on Harvey’s desk. Like a man on a mission, Harvey tried to walk with confidence. He realized he hadn't even said sorry to her for what he did. He was so sure he was in the right that he didn’t prepare himself to apologize. He knocked on her office door, earning a glance from his wife. He invited himself in and walked cautiously inside. “I bought lunch for you since I know you won't go out for lunch.” Harvey placed the food on her coffee table, earning another glance. But all heard from the office was the sound of nails on the keyboard of her laptop. “I should’ve said sorry earlier, but I was too proud. So I’m sorry, I am. I didn’t mean to make you look weak or anything, honey. You’re a great lawyer, everyone thinks otherwise must be not right in their heads.” Harvey put his hands in his pants pocket in front of her desk, this time earning nothing from his wife. “Please eat your lunch. I don’t want you to get sick and how will you work if you’re sick, right? I love you and I’m sorry.” Harvey leaned his body to kiss his wife’s head and turned to leave her office. He closed the glass door behind him and stole another glance at his laser-focused wife. —---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Harvey closed his laptop and looked at his watch. His eyebrows raised in surprise. 10.15 already? He looked outside and it looked quite dark. Where in the world is his wife, he thought to himself. If she went home already, Ray must’ve informed him. So she must still be here. Harvey packed his things, turned all the lights in his office, and marched to his wife’s. The door was surprisingly opened. He cleared his throat and sat on the chair opposite her wife. “It’s late, baby. Let’s go home.” Harvey tried to sound as gentle as possible. “You go home yourself and send Ray back here for me. Or I’ll just call a cab.” She said absentmindedly and Harvey ran a tired finger through his not-so-perfect hair now at this hour. He stood up and she expected him to leave. But instead, Harvey rounded her desk and squatted next to her chair. He swiveled her chair so now they’re facing each other. Harvey took her wife’s hands on him. “Now look at me, gorgeous.” She sighed and gave up. “I’m sorry for what I did. I didn’t know what people were calling you, and those are false accusations. You are a great lawyer and Heaven knows how proud I am of the lawyer you become today. When you were under my tutelage, I tried my best to shape you. But now you’re my wife, we just lost our baby..” Harvey paused and kissed her hands oh-so-softly “I just don’t have a heart to see you struggle after witnessing you in pain for the loss of our baby.” Harvey swore he felt like he was about to cry, right there, and then when he saw the forlorn look on his wife’s face. “I swear, it won’t happen again. Unless you ask for my help then I won’t interfere. Nor will I send someone to interfere with your case without your command. I’m sorry, gorgeous. You are a great lawyer and I’m so proud of you. You’re making your name.” Harvey moved to stand on his knees now, holding his wife’s face gently in his hand before placing a warm kiss on her lips. “Am I forgiven?” Harvey asked as he stroked her cheek. “But can I get cinnamon rolls tomorrow?” Harvey felt like the weight of the universe had just been lifted off his chest when he saw his wife smile for the first time today. “I’ll buy you the whole damn bakery, gorgeous.”
