Throwing this out into the void because it's on my mind.

How do we achieve something like free housing, free education, and anti-capitalist values in a society like America when even the smallest initiatives to create better circumstances get undermined by the state, even when you're not working with them? When People actively work against their own interests because they don't want 'other people' to get something 'they worked for'?
