you know how John Carpenter said Michael Myers was inspired by when he like visited a mental hospital once for class and he saw a teenage patient just sitting there looking kind of scary because he was spaced out. I kind of think about that alot

#villains being mentally ill or disabled is everywhere obviously but slasher villains like #are even more often mentally ill and/or disabled I feel like. Like Jason Leatherface Freddy Kruger Michael Myers Obviously #Like guys who have mental illness or mental disabilities or like. just have burn scars #I was gonna say maniac cop like maniac cops a iconic slasher but he counts too #Guy from Prom Night. Guy from Maniac #I think its a little complicated too because like alot of the time it is also to make them more sympathetic #like Jason. Leatherface.
