Something something Archie and V falling in love bc each was a project for the other to prove something to their own selves. I might pick up that fic again today...
#or just replay motr <3#mask of the rose#fallen london#perhaps its just as shallow as 'i can fix him/her' and ill abandon the thought#though i dont think so?#archie wants to prove theres something in this world that can flourish and grow after being broken instead#instead of just being maintained. difference between ''good health'' and ''strong vitals'' yfm?#and he wants to be the reason for it#for V... even as my own OC shes still so murky to me. but i think for her its abt control#everything in her life so transient that to hold onto something is to watch it shred to pieces between her fingers as it inevitably#tears itself away#so she doesnt let herself acknowledge the attachments#so the proof shes looking for is that she's worth coming back to. meaningful as a person and not just for her labor#(making Archie coming back from the Surface rhe ultimate nail in the proof coffin)#(so to speak)#ANYWAY
