wild to see your post about dirthavhen, i had no idea. admittedly i’m sensitive about this bc i love solavellan, i do like to read metas from people with differing opinions HOWEVER her posts were always so weirdly vicious about lavellan i couldn’t stick with them. no amount of nice formatting and serious academic tone can make me think a post wasn’t typed in a total misogynistic rage lol.

it was a very weird situation to be in as someone who only started playing the DA series because of the solavellan romance. when i realized the vitriol that they carried for the ship and for lavellan herself, even as a dreadrooker, it REALLY rubbed me the wrong way because they are the entire reason a lot of solavellans have such a poor view on solas/rook shippers! like most of us love lavellan, even if she doesn't exist in others' worldstate! we do not all see her as some "pushover" or any other horrible thing that account was saying right at dav release! it was so disheartening to have to sit thru their rants and watch as they actively bullied others in the server for not only shipping solavellan, but just for mentioning the ship in a positive light!

and because they had such a large following, and deleted most of their more vile takes on lavellan when they started gaining major attention, it makes it seem like dreadrookers condone that kind of attitude or behavior towards the solavellan ship and lavellan, which IS NOT THE CASE because as it has been shown, most of them were not even aware of this kind of behavior, because they were not in the server with this person to see firsthand how bad they could be.
