How I entered/learned about the said game/show/movie/etc of that fandom

I think this post was the first one I saw. After that there were a couple more (I remember conquest club flower crowns being among the first ones) and one night I decided to watch the first 2 episodes on a whim. Then the third one the next day, fourth one came out a couple of days later. Anyway I knew it was my kinda show after approx. one minute and I just checked and my blog has 438 pages tagged boueibu so um ya

tl;dr: saw a post promising gay on tumblr and gave in to the impulse to actually check it out

The twins;;; I admit I was very prejudiced before the season even started bc I knew that new characters need screentime so the audience gets to know them and I knew that attention was going to be reduced from the student council, but I’ve disliked many characters at some point and learnt to like all of them so I was hopeful the show and the fandom would get me to warm up to them eventually. So far it hasn’t happened.

The worst thing is, at this point I don’t even think it’s about the lack of meta analysis and positive posts that I’ve seen; it’s just that...what I’ve observed about them so far is pretty much all there is, and their characters just don’t appeal to me. At all. They’re the unlikable kind of assholes.

I’m sorry all VEPPer fans I still love you even if I strongly dislike your faves;;;

...I gotta say Akorima. I’m even a little surprised by how popular it is;;; Their interactions are nice and it’s not a bad ship but I just don’t really see any romantic spark between them in canon

Where there’s people there’s going to be disagreements and annoyance some quarrels and miscommunication but it’s been two years and the fandom is still pretty damn good at being nice?? Not perfect but the amount of anon hate and deliberately attacking people has been considerably low.

If there is something I would change from said game/show/movie/etc., what would it be.

Gosh... Now I’m not a writer but first off I think the Italian twins in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit forgive me for uttering the sinful salvatore name could have been handled in a lot more respective manner. Having them in the first place is not a problem, and younger one’s inferiority complex is a good place to start but... The way they went about it...;;; Like please could you tone down the gross and racist by like 90%

And of course the Beppus’ redemption needs to be worked on. For starters, they could have one. Boueibu is about love and forgiveness and learning from your mistakes so the twins joining forces with the good ones is not something I’m against in theory, but I mean... The finale didn’t really solve anything;;; They still only care about themselves and Gora and the rest just. Hogged them in. Decided that they’re “one or two of us” now with no real reason to do so other than being nice and plot. And the twins aren’t nice, they haven’t apologized, they don’t seem to have done anything to the tension. This isn’t even the Vegeta level “not evil anymore, basically on the good side, but still kinda antagonistic” thing, they didn’t change or repent one bit and I’m mad the writers can do so much better than this

oh its just like!!! akoya tries to break the ice/connect with io/whatever it is hes trying to do tbh by telling him his hair has so much potential but the haircut is so unfortunate and if he wants akoya has some tips and maybe knows some good places to go for a haircut?

...except i hc that ryuus grandma cuts ios hair bc she does it for free so all akoya manages to do is annoy io l m a o. so ios response is very chilly, and then he and ryuu leave together and akoya is like “oh :\” and thats it, thats the fic. except i never even got that far, i only wrote like a page before i realized my akoya POV sucked. maybe i could do a better job now, 18 months later, but i have other stuff to write
