I could write a goddamn essay about how the "Nazis are inhuman pure evil monsters" logic has actually helped Nazis but unfortunately saying "Hey Nazis ARE people, choosing a group that you don't like and deeming them subhuman and okay to treat as such is not only nazi logic but also makes it easier for Nazism to rise" will probably just have people claim I myself am a Nazi because there are way to many idiots who think that dehumanization is ok when they do it to those who "deserve it"

#*shakes you* if you don't get the point #elon was able to do the goddamn nazi salute and still get defended BECAUSE people believe nazis are these alien “others”#that behave like cartoon villains and want to destroy the great country of america #red skull is a believable nazi to these people because he is the enemy of the character literally named captain america #and has an inhuman looking face #but in reality nazis ARE humans and they will act like human beings #while people are on the lookout for a redskull 2.0 to heroically punch #they're simultaneously rolling their eyes at people pointing out actual real nazi behaviour and calling them overdramatic or sensitive #because they can't grasp that nazism is not redskull #they can't grasp that nazism IS those slurs that discrimination those “opinions” on politics those viewpoints #nazis aren't sitting in an evil lair they are humans who have families and are nice and say funny things #they sway people they can justify their beliefs they can claim it's for the greater good #they don't have to say they're a nazi at all #and then when marginalized groups who aren't so blind call out the dogwhistle or that concerning opinion everyone jumps on them #and will say “but they're so nice” “they're a lefist” “having an opinion doesn't make you a nazi” “nazis don't act like that” etc #and the person in question slowly gains more influence and power because they act like a person #they hurt all the groups no one at the top cares about until oops turns out they're a nazi and nobody can believe it #do you think the nazi party held people at gunpoint in order to be supported in germany?\#no they made promises they inspired hope #they found a marginalized group to use as a scapegoat and justified it through propaganda and arguments that sounded smart and clever #none of that would have happened if they acted like a cartoon nazi #dehumanising and demonising these people merely gives them more power as they are pictured as an unstoppable alien force #you people who are on you morally superior american hero crusade will only hurt others who don't act good enough or you personally #nazis are human beings #i am not defending them #i am not one of them #i am stating an undeniable fact that can make many of them lose their power if enough people begin to understand it #before you cheer “punch nazis” think about how many times you'vr excused people drawing the swastika “for fun”#or how many times you've advocated for censorship and purist logic because you believe you're protecting the kids #or stopping “bad” people from spreading their “fantasies” or “beliefs” and “normalising them”
