I say this as a bitch from Kansas that LOVES the Wizard of Oz: season 8 episode 3 (‘No Place Like Home’) absolutely can and should be a coma dream episode

Do you know how many parallels are already set up ESPECIALLY if it’s Eddie-centric? Like you have the opportunity to set up Gerrard as the Wicked Witch and Bobby as the Wizard (which is not an exact parallel but I’m not getting into that) and Eddie could so easily be set up as a Tin Man (HES MISSING HIS HEART!!!)

Like there’s such good potential there (especially if it’s part of an eddie realization arc bc like….somewhere over the rainbow 🌈) and I’m not sure why else you would use a very famous movie reference as an episode title if you aren’t going to parallel that movie in some way

#my friend and I talked about this for literal hours the other day #both of us are from Kansas and dressed as Dorothy for Halloween as kids #also you could set up Tommy as a minor villain and have eddie baffled by why his brain would do that until the OH moment #or have gerrard be the wicked witch of the east who gets crushed and set up Tommy as the wicked witch of the west #the flying monkey theory makes more sense to me since he just supported and enabled gerrard #911 abc #season 8 speculation #and like I could make the argument that chimney could be set up as the cowardly lion or hen as the scarecrow but those are less set #like those are not set in their characters the way I think eddie as the tin man could be #and the yellow brick road is leading them back to their family #where Bobby and Chris are back and they can be together again #I’ve been thinking about this since the title dropped and there’s no sign of it stopping #especially with the fact the disaster is a fucking beenado???#Oz here we come #the bird speaks
