anyone who likes stardew/harvest moon style games

roots of pacha is the fucking best

holy shit. So good.

It does something really different and interesting with what's become an over saturated genre. And. Amazingly. It has an actually pretty fun and not annoying fishing mini-game. And a little rhythm game to tame animals.

#I hope it takes off as well as stardew did but i doubt it #i know stardew kinda hit a lucky streak since no harvest moon games had been good for a while when it came out #there was the whole split with story of seasons and harvest moon and all that #and they weren't pc games anyway #and now the market is FLOODED with often pretty shoddy and cheap imitations trying to cash in #or genuine but newbie attempts with little in the way of unique gameplay or ideas #but roots of pacha is giving me all the first time playing stardew vibes #from way back before shane and emily could be romanced #i have nothing against games that do the exact same thing as harvest moon or stardew - i love them #but i like it when they have something different they focus on as a primary thing #like is it more combat focused or more about running a business or more about animals or more about brewing potions #add in a unique aesthetic and setting? top notch
