Like... I'm not exactly surprised that we only have a few choices to make for Veilguard since it's apparently a good jumping off point for new fans and various things like that. But on the main hand. Only having three choices is very :/. I think my main nitpick is not having at least the Well of Sorrows one, like????? I'm still excited about the game, but like.... this put a big damper on things for me. Even as a Solas enjoyer (in the most neutral way possible) I hope that it doesn't cater towards ppl who romanced him because that's so limiting.

Real. Do most players like it? I know it was the most chosen, but... I know it's a little contentious at least among Solavellans. The more I think about it the more it bothers me. Excuse me as I yap for a second:

Solas surrendering himself willingly & acknowledging mortals as 'real' was what I hoped for — not a redemption but a peaceful resolution — so there are parts of it I'm happy with!

But it sure is a downgrade from the Trespasser confrontation scene. His surrender has nothing to do with convincing him that present-day Thedas is worth saving or even addressing his self-destructive sense of duty. Mythal just says: calm down forehead. And that's that.

And the redeem path with a romanced Lavellan... Admittedly the whole romance is a fucked up situation where you become the special-est girl, the exception worthy of his rare affection, optionally isolating your Inquisitor from the only world she's known in the name of love, so it makes sense. But the more I think about it the more I find it mean-spirited. Sacrificing everything for a man who's stuck in the past, sees little value in your culture and people, doesn't rank abandoning you among his top regrets, and killed your friend. Trailing after him into oblivion like a lost puppy. Nasty work.

Also four women (if you choose F!Rook) coddling the antagonist into submission is crazyyy like it's not that deep but it didn't help.

Can is ask you a question? Is it true that Solavellan is the default world state in Dav? I saw people saying it's confirmed because female lavellan didn't have vallaslin in the cc but I also saw that even a male lavellan didn't have them either. Do you know if they made Solas bi now?

I’m curious to see where you saw the default M!Lavellan with no vallaslin, that’s a very interesting implication for between-games lore or potential (understandable) retcons. Because at first I thought perhaps somehow, F!Lavellan could have found a way (or someone) to remove her vallaslin if she never had solas remove it. I figured any of my F!Lavellan who didn’t romance Solas, or did and refused his removal spell, would have changed their mind after learning what we do in Trespasser.

So no, I’m not 100% certain that in the default world state, Solas is Lavellan’s romance. I think it would make sense for increased drama to hook the new players but it only seems so to me based on the assumption the only person in the world, or in reach of Lavellan, that can remove vallaslin is a romanced Solas. I’m also not 100% certain you can retroactively make Solas the romance for M!Lavellan, especially since I have no idea what you saw. Though I do hope they make that change since some players may like to hc that their Lavellan transitioned with all the new inclusivity options in the character creator. Plus Solas just gives equal opportunity lover vibes lmfaooo let him be bisexual BioWare!!!

favorite thing I wrote: of my completed works, knee deep without a plea - Lucanis' POV of the weeks Rook spends in the Fade prison! I am really proud of the details I worked into this one for Lucanis and Spite, and the emotions across all of the characters. Honorable mention to before you can kill the monster (you have to say its name) - my WIP rewrite of the end of Davrin's personal arc, incorporating more of the nuance from Isseya's character in Last Flight, and filling in the gaps between the end of the novel and where Veilguard picks up. I'm really proud of the first chapters, and of where my outline is going, but I don't think I can put it at the top of my favorites until it's fully realized

So okay. I thought wayyy too hard about this and had A LOT of difficulty choosing because I actually really enjoy rereading my own fics 😅 but I did my best! Answers below the cut for anyone who wants to keep reading:

- Fall Into The Tide: Dragon Age, Sten/f!Mahariel, ~54k words. The premise of this fic is that Mahariel decides on a whim to follow Sten on his maritime journey back to Par Vollen. This was actually the first fic that came to mind as a favourite, and to date, I feel that it's the best thing I've ever written; I'm really proud of Sten's characterization and the emotional beats. I still cry like a baby every time I reread it LOL.

- Lovers In A Dangerous Time: Dragon Age, Fenris/f!Hawke, ~525k words. This is my Fenris the Inquisitor fic. I just finished rereading it and I had a lot of "wow I wrote this? Good job me" moments while reading it! 😂

- Until We Meet Again: The Witcher, Geralt/f!Reader, ~250k words. The point of this fic was that I personally want to fuck Geralt so I made it everyone else's problem BAHAHA. This fic completely mutated from self-indulgent smut to accidentally-falling-in-love in a totally unplanned way, and I'm so thrilled with how it turned out!

- Just Hold On, We're Going Home: Samurai Champloo, Mugen/Fuu/Jin, ~38k words. SamCham is my favourite anime, and the end of it is so heartwrenching to me, even though it's a happy ending. So I wrote this fic to heal myself 🤣 This fic was entirely a gift I wrote for myself on the assumption that no one would actually read it, and it's been lovely to see how many people were craving a poly happy ending like I was!

- The Love That Grows From Violence: Dragon Age, Felassan/f! Lavellan, ~181k words. This is a post-Trespasser fic where a bitter Lavellan falls in love with Felassan, who was made Tranquil rather than killed in the Fade. This fic holds a hugely special place in heart partly because the idea was BRILLIANT (it was suggested to me by a wonderful reader-friend!), and because writing this became my cozy escape during the worst of COVID. I'm really proud of some of the emotional beats in this fic and the lore aspects, and I really hope that Veilguard will not end up proving me entirely wrong or I might just die LOL. 

HONOURABLE MENTIONS (I CAN'T HELP IT, THIS WAS REALLY HARD):

- Even The Hardiest Desert Blooms Need To Get Wet Sometimes: Horizon Forbidden West, Drakka/Aloy, ~365k words. I JUST REALLY LOVE DRAKKA, OKAY? I JUST LOVE HIM. A LOT. I had a ball writing every chapter of this fic just because I adore the disaster Desert gremlin, and I always love the opportunity to write texting in fics, which I got to do here a lot, so this fic makes me a very happy girl 🥰 The only reason this didn't make my top five is that I don't actually reread it very often!

- Inadvisable: Dragon Age, triple romance for Solas/f!Lavellan, Abelas/f!Lavellan, Felassan/f!Lavellan (different Lavellans LOL), ~668k words. This is my modern AU university fic collaboration with my beloved friend and artist Elbenherz. IT WAS SO HARD NOT PUTTING THIS FIC IN THE TOP-FIVE; the only reason it didn't make the cut is because it was either this one or The Love That Grows From Violence, and I just have such cozy-fuzzy vibes/memories of writing TLGFV.

Lighthouse Paintings

So, I wasn't sure I was going to write this, because this is a blog about writing mostly, but I'm also an artist so this has honestly been bothering me. And yes, it's about Dragon Age: The Veilguard!

People keep bringing up the "frescos" in the Lighthouse and I'm questioning if these are actually frescos. These look more like paintings to me or in technical terms - murals. Examples and explanations under cut to save my timeline and minor spoilers if you haven't seen the game:

I will be the first to admit I know nothing about frescos. However, after playing Inquisition, I was really confused by the meaning of the paintings Solas had done and so I kind of did a deep dive and read everything other people have said about them.

(Please click this if you want to know more. This blogger really covers it all. I recommend it if you don't already know about how frescos are made or anything about the frescos from Inquisition.)

Based on the reading I've done that goes into depth about the frescos Solas paints in Skyhold - I find it really hard to believe that the walls of the Lighthouse are also frescos. From what I can tell these are done with bare bones paint. My reasoning is as follows:

You can clearly see the lines of the stone blocks. If this was covered in the layer of plaster needed to make a fresco, you wouldn't see the stone blocks behind it. Yes, plaster can crack over time, but it wouldn't crack perfectly at the points where the stone meets. And you see it's very consistent - you can see every block behind the paint.

The way the paint is flaking off. Painting on stone isn't exactly permanent. I did some quick searching and the durability of paint on stone is pretty weak. For outdoors they give it about 5 years at most - and this is with masonry paint, which I doubt he used. Since these are inside they lasted quite a bit longer. And the paint is flaking off in thin sheets, instead of chunks. If this was plaster it would leave a noticeable texture on the wall as it fell off, since the paint is part of the plaster.

He left behind a paint palette. If you read the above blogs you will have seen the colors for frescos and mixed in pots. This is regular paint. What kind? I can't tell. It could be oil or it could be egg tempera, if we want to pick another old painting medium that no one really talks about anymore. I don't see anything else laying out to suggest this, though. My gut feeling is oils. (Seeing these giant paintings and those small brushes, though, are giving me a headache. Solas, we work smarter, not harder!)

It's possible that here in the Lighthouse Solas wasn't as concerned about longevity when it came to the work he decided he wanted to surround himself with. I think he saw all of this ending in his death, per words he spoke to a romanced Lavellan - "I walk the path of death" (loosely translated, of course). He's obviously painted other moments of his life and taken it down, too (at least the best he can. Let's be real, paint might not last forever on stone, but it sticks just enough that it doesn't disappear completely, either). Maybe he thinks it'll be another regret, eventually, and he'll want to be rid of it.

Or, maybe, he also just loves to paint. It's a different technique from the frescos and maybe isn't as time consuming so he doesn't have to spend as much of his free time working on it, because, gee, it sure is hard and busy work trying to tear the Veil down!

OR - this one might be a reach - these were him testing out the designs he wanted to put onto the walls of Skyhold! How he would have access to all of this during Inquisition - I don't know! He starts the frescos in Inquisition before Morrigan shows up with her eluvian. I haven't read any of the related novels, but I've read blurbs that might lead us to believe he was still working with his agents even as he was helping the Inquisition. How? Again, no idea. This is all speculation on my part.

Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks for reading, I guess. Let me know what your thoughts on this are, because the paintings being called frescos in the Lighthouse have been driving me crazy. If you have additional info that might lean more towards these actually being frescos, let me know. The evidence that I see, though, states otherwise.

Until I decide to get rid of the Dress up at the Winter Palace mod and choose to look fugly or get it to work I will say some random DAI thoughts without playing:

Vivienne comments on every romance with the companions but doesn't with the advisors... which makes zero sense. She should have especially commented on Josephine because they literally knew each other back at Orlais. They weren't friends, sure, but it's very odd that she doesn't say anything. She should ESPECIALLY say something if you are a mage, because mage x non-mage always spells trouble in her eyes.

You should have had the opportunity to piss Josie off. Like, if your relationship with her is bad enough, she will straight up Not Ask You what you think, and just take decisions without giving you a chance to have an input. Or if you have low approval with her, it should affect the war table in some way. I know that you CAN fuck up your relationship with her, but you should have been able to do it outside of that.

Speaking of the above, the Travelyans and the Montilyets are acquainted according to the lore, and Cullen is also from Ferelden and implied he's been to Oswtick Circle. If Lavellan gets a "default" option in the form of Solas, Cullen and Josephine should have had that same connection with Travelyan (especially the former if you're a mage, IK they do have dialogues for it but the romance plays the same regardless).

Even with Vivienne, she should have been more significant to Mage!Travy because she is literally your senior. Dorian also implies that the Travelyans are his distant cousins... but only if you're NOT a mage. He should have more incentive to do that if you are.

Same way, Josie/Blackwall being "improper" makes no sense because she's 1- Bi (a concern because of the "eldest child"/"next in line" problem) 2 - Has the opportunity to date an Inky who is non-human... which is even worse. Because it means she clearly has no concern for impropriety when it's YOU.

To rectify this, her and Blackwall should have gone all the way (like Dwarf Inky is literally a criminal too but Blackwall ain't okay?) if you don't romance her. And there should be SOME angst on her part if she likes someone who isn't "practical" for her family. If it's F!Travelyan, bring up the "next in line dilemma" and how she Wouldn't Get It because she's the youngest. If they're non-human or a mage, cite "what if the baby has magic/can't pass as a human." There should also be some lines implying her parents would make naysayers STFU because, well... Inky is Inky.

Corephyus' cult isn't explored that deeply. We should have gotten more story about how he's able to influence people so he isn't just "hahaha I'm evil." IK Solas is the "real villain", but the disparity between him and Corephyus is so jarring you can't believe that Solas is working under him.

thank u for asking omg !!!! i have 3 worldstates loosely planned out which is a Lot for me since i have a tendency to get deeply (perhaps pathologically) attached to one worldstate and one pc lol. but im being brave abt it !

worldstate 1 is my canon worldstate, and the overarching theme for it is self-mythology/loss of personhood. i wont go into detail since i yap enough abt them already lol but i have elspeth (warrior f!cousland romancing alistair) cillian (a rogue m!hawke romancing anders) and ashara (a mage f!lavellan romancing/redeeming solas) all going into datv head first. my canon datv pc will likely be an elven archer f!rook romancing either davrin or taash hehe <3

second worldstate is all mages and obv thats the main theme i wanna have fun with

lucander amell (he/him, blood mage and spirit healer, romances morrigan) unassuming, distant, and polite and also kind of unnerving. used to being seen as a bad guy and is willing to act accordingly, but otherwise is a pretty decent, honorable man. does morrigan's ritual, kills the archdemon, leaves alistair a grey warden. doesn't become warden commander in awakening bc he goes into hiding from the wardens before they can ask too many questions abt the ritual and why hes still alive. he tracks down morrigan in the hopes of protecting her, and then stays with her and their son after that.

cecilia hawke (she/her, spirit healer mage, romances fenris) a blue!hawke who's sweet and motherly and soft spoken and has an enormous guilt complex/self hate for being a mage lol. carver joins the templars, and she later sides with them in act 3 and kills anders which </3 anyways. she survives here lies the abyss in dai and hopefully goes on to attend biweekly couples therapy with fenris <3

thomasin trevelyan (SOFTEST of launches on that name) (she/her, knight enchanter mage, romances cullen. maybe.) socially adept, politically cunning, with a love for the game and a desire to regain her place within the trevelyan family nobility. sides with the mages, doesn't drink from the well, negotiates a truce between celene/gaspard/briala, pardons the wardens, redeems solas, disbands the inquisition post trespasser. shes a good girl and she's got her head on straight!

might do a qunari f!rook mage to romance taash or davrin for datv! we'll see !

lastly my third worldstate places value on the eluvians so its very elfy or at least elf-adjacent. and also the lineage of ameridan > garahel > maherial and so on. i just think its neat . still VERY much underdeveloped tho so no names yet

My dragon age romances are as follows:

Surana -> Zevran Arainai (Zevran was my first videogame boyfriend i love him so much)

F!Cousland -> Morrigan with a marriage of convenience to either Alistair or Anora (I know this isn't canon but in my heart it's canon.)

Brosca -> Alistair.

Mage!Hawke -> no one :IIIIIIII (I wanted Awakening characterisation Anders. He and my purple Hawke would've been in love if they'd met in the Circle and ran away together, and that's part of their tragedy. But he was too intense for her, and they were too different. I went with Fenris, but honestly although I love the characters and the game I feel like all of the romances in 2 aren't written to their fullest potential and as a result I couldn't shake off the feeling she should be dating Varric I swear to god)

Mage!Lavellan -> Cullen (I played Inquisition before I played DA2 and if I had my first run again with more context I'd probably have chosen differently. Unfortunately the chess scene gets me every time)

solas for his part for the first several months is 🤔 that's a weird little guy and they make me feel kinda fuzzy 🤔🤔 and i enjoy teasing them and talking with them generally 🤔🤔🤔 im sure it's nothing tho

also like. there's a ~10 yr gap between Inquisition and Veilguard (iirc 2 are the trespasser dlc time point) and they are. hunting him down. (trying at least. he's SLIPPERY) i like the idea of them catching up a few times and he always slips away overnight,,cuz it makes me OTL to imagine

veilguard time lore is a little more wriggly, but i DID decide that jackal is at the ritual. except instead of stopping them they're Trying to help (Solas thinks they want to stop him and they're just shaking him violently. 10 yrs !! of tracking !!! after I said I wanted to help!!! jackal is kind of. not quite an Antagonist to rook and co but close. they skulk around the lighthouse while they recover, they're blatantly telling rook jackal got solas as the man. they're dealing with fen'harel the wolf. which makes it funnier bc jackal is lying through their Teeth about changing their mind and thinking the veil should stay up (jackal voice wow you guys are. bad. at this huh)

there's also. so much friction bc they Get It, they've had years now to ruminate on all the fuck shit he did (made the thing that gave them the anchor and STOLE THEIR ARM being one) but they are so. so painfully in love

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is almost upon us and one of my shallow-level thoughts is that I hope I vibe best with a lady love interest this time around, b/c my ‘canon’ LIs are: Zevran, Anders, & then Cullen, and that’s a lot of dudes in a row. I did romance Zevran as a male dwarven warrior, so it’s not all m/f pairings but still... a lot of dudes. OTOH, I wouldn’t really change anything because I do really like my canon line-up for how well the story flows for me.

Because my Aeducan ended up... heavily influencing and interacting with Anders in a way that really made a lot of Anders’ more radical choices in DA2 feel like they were lessons that my Warden had taught him about standing up for freedom and not running away from a fight. My Warden didn’t know a thing about mages or elves before he joined the Wardens and I played him as a bit of a naive noble at first when it came to any surface-related, so he learned his politics and opinions about the various issues of surface-world Thedas as he went, which meant that Zevran (love interest) and Morrigan (who he liked a lot as a friend and who he did the dark ritual with) influenced him heavily in his opinions on various issues. He really liked how Zevran could be pragmatic but also had a strong streak of compassion and he liked that it took time to get to know him.

And then when my Warden met Anders, Anders’ flippant-jokes-that-mask-pain routine reminded him a lot of his beloved Zevran, so my Warden was taking Anders out with him pretty much every time he left Amaranthine. He probably wouldn’t even blink at the whole Justice-inhabiting-Anders thing, honestly, because he liked Justice a lot, too, and he’d seen a spirit sharing a body with a human before with Wynne.

Then my Marian Hawke was a mage, and very into mage rights but was primarily a diplomatic Hawke so Anders could say the things that she might think about Templars and the Chantry but usually wouldn’t say. My canon Hawke actually tried very hard not to romance Anders, because he warned her off him! I took the approach that if a companion discouraged me, I wouldn’t push, so after that first flirt where he shows interest but then shuts down the idea of a relationship, she basically pined from afar until Anders made it clear in Act II that he still had feelings for her (yes, she was the kind of woman who responded well to ‘I would drown the world in blood to keep you safe’. I didn’t say she was particularly emotionally healthy, just diplomatic. She will be very happy on the run with Anders tbh -- for me, the key to the Anders romance is to think of it as fundamentally a poly romance, as Hawke really kinda needs to fall in love with both Anders and Justice in order for it not to feel like a tragedy at the end).

My canon Inky is a Lavellan archer and fell in love with Cullen over that lovely game of chess. She was a very very flirty character and I ended up needing to ‘break up’ with Blackwall in order to romance Cullen properly because I’d accidentally soft-locked BW when I got to Skyhold but before I’d decided who she had real feelings for. Like my Aeducan, she was a bit naive at the start, though for different reasons. She was just a really good person who wanted to think the best of everyone and tried her hardest to just make all her companions get along with each other too.

She flirted a bit with Solas at the beginning but saw him as too much of a teacher figure as time passed, so her crush faded and it was just friendship and respect after that for her. I really do hope that choosing ‘redeem’ over ‘kill’ in Trespasser has an impact in DAV because she definitely wants to save him from his own bad choices. She really admired him and discovering the truth about him... complicated that admiration but didn’t shatter it, because he did do so much to help the elven people in the past.

I've written a lot, you know, over several fandoms. This was incredibly hard. In the end, I determined my own favorites are the ones I have reread over and over. And even then I'm gonna cheat with some honorable mentions at the end.

In chronological order:

1 - Unexpected (FO4, F!SoSu/Kellogg, rated E, 30K words, 'ware the tags). Listen, sometimes you just need to be the change you want to see in the world. Kellogg's arc disappointed me on many levels. From the standpoint of him being a 'villain' to the possibly haunting everyone's favorite synth bait. This was my first truly canon divergent AU, and I never meant for it to become a full fic, I honestly didn't. But I ended up falling in love with the concept I'd created, so I had to see it through to the end. I have a weakness for the broken ones. Tien Xu remains the OC with the darkest backstory. Seriously, pay attention to the tags if you read it.

2 - Accidental Synchronicity (ME, Jack|Subject Zero/Thane Krios, rated E, 17K words). Ahh, rarepairs. Completely unplanned ones, at that. To date I am still 22% of the ship's authors. A one off line in the main fic of my Shakarian series became a plot bunny that wouldn't quit. It grew into a slice of life romance that covered the events of ME2 and ME3, leading to canon's hamfisted ending for Thane. The only reason I didn't change it is because it was already established elsewhere. Still, it remains one of the fics I am most proud of.

3 - Hope Is a Fragile Thing (DA:I, Solas/OFC, rated T, 13K words). In a lot of ways this fic was an experiment. I love to write MCIT's, but it's hard to come up with a backstory sometimes, so I didn't make one. I wanted to write something post-canon, a favorite trope of mine. And I wanted to completely finish a fic before posting it. Many, many of you have found me because of Twist, which is light and relatively fluffy, to say nothing of its sequel that is pure, unadulterated sugar. But angst with a happy ending is my bread and butter.

4 - Of Ruins and Restoration (DA:I, Cadash & Solas, rated G, 3870 words). If you asked me where Lark Cadash came from, I would immediately blame Manka (with all the love, of course), because without her whole entire throng of Soladash works, I wouldn't have fallen down this rabbit hole. Suffice to say, I got hooked. And then I got Ideas(tm). OR&R is the culmination of many headcannons about dwarves, the desire to have more content for a ship I didn't know I needed and the feverish grip of the Muse that sprang out of my head wholecloth at the end of 2021. It is the introductory work for this character I've absolutely gone to pieces with love for. Eventually there will be more of it, but for now it stands alone as a oneshot. There is a companion oneshot that falls outside of her 'canon', as well.

5 - What a Wicked Game to Play (DA:I, Solas/OFC, rated E, 278K+ words, current WIP). 😏 Did you really think this wasn't going to make the list? WG is everything I have ever wanted to put into a fic, and Imogen is the character I have always wanted to write. Aside from being the new shiny (because it really isn't at this point), I have enjoyed almost every moment of digging into the lore and rebuilding it from the ground up. I have so many plans and so much left to tell for my curly haired girl.

Pfhew! that was a lot of them! but i'm super happy i received this ask! i've been aching to talk about my inquisitor to someone <3 My main inquisitor would be Brenna Lavellan, She's a Dalish mage, pale skin with a dark green vallaslin. She has black hair, long, long enough to have to braid it and pull it into a bun behind her head. She wears several dreads too, with jewelry in them, but alas there's no mod for that. ( i use the mod dreads of the wolf on her ) She carries on her left cheek a scar that cuts through her face and onto her ear, she got it in a fight with a shemlen who'd tried to light their aravels on fire in the woods one night when she was only a youngster.

2 - How did they decorate and structure skyhold?

She decorates it with various trophies from their adventures through thedas, but the heraldry is mostly a mix between the inquisition and the dalish + elven designs. Some ferelden dogs, and an Avvar throne. 4. What are their views of the Chantry?

Fuck the chantry. That's basically her attitude. She understands faith is important to the people of thedas, they need hope, but the chantry is an outdated, cruel institution that practices nothing that they preach. 6. Who did they romance and why?

Solas. She fell for him quickly, his wit and charm and endless stories of the fade and the ancient elvhen empire. she loves him, with whole her heart. Where usually she would be wary of strangers, solas was one of the exceptions. She felt an instant connection with him and it didn't take long before he skillfully broke down her walls and made her fall deeply in love with him.

14. Who is their favourite and most trusted adviser?

If we're talking only the advisers she adores leliana, they cultivated a strong friendship. If we're talking the entire inner circle, that would be dorian, solas, cassandra and cole. 16. How do they react to the corruption of the Wardens? Why? She is apalled by their actions. For an institution to fall so low and resort to tying themselves to demons.. it was just too much. She banishes them from orlais. 18. Do they enjoy Wicked Grace, or don’t they? Not only does she enjoy it, she is also good at it and loves to challenge everyone in skyhold for a game or two. 20. Do they trust Morrigan? Trust? No. She's smart enough to realize Morrigan is in it for her own gain. She respects her and her magical abilities and likes to converse with her ( when she's not bragging about all the knowledge she supposedly possesses about elves and their heritage ) But she doesn't trust her. Morrigan is power hungry, and their debate at the well of sorrows shows that clearly enough. 22. What is their biggest regret?

Ironically, Not realizing Solas wasn't who he said he was. If she'd figured it out sooner, she might've been able to change his mind.. 24. How did they react when they found out about Blackwall/Thom Rainier?

Oof. Yeah that was a big reveal there. She had some suspicions about blackwall but would never have thought him to be a murderer. She pardoned him. But remains distant. Despite their friendship. 26. What makes them trust someone?

Seeing them standing up for what they think is right, standing up for people who cannot defend themselves. And those who do good deeds without wanting anything in return. 28. Did they disband the Inquisition or maintain it?

It was a tough decision. The inquisition was her everything, but seeing the state of thedas and knowing the truth now, that the entire organisation was infiltrated with spies and reeking of corruption... She disbanded it. She was angry and upset, but determined to work towards saving solas from himself. It would be easier with a tight knit group that doesn't involve all the politics and discussions in the winter palace. She also gladly went to kirkwall to live there after varric offered it to her. 30. How did they judge the prisoners? Alexius, Servis and so on. Specific a character.

Alexius was made to serve the inquisition, in researching arcana. But he will not be gaining his freedom. Servis was made to smuggle artefacts. Florianne was killed, and her box was used for community service. Livius Erimond was executed. Ser ruth was sent to the deep roads to achieve what she wanted. Samson was remanded to Kirkwall for judgement of his crimes, though if she was given the chance she would have executed him for all he did. 32. Who did they leave in the Fade, and why?

Stroud. To her it seemed the more logical solution at the time. besides, she loves varric dearly and couldn't take his best friend from him. 34. How do they cope with the stress of being Inquisitor?

Powering through. Trying her best to maintain her sanity by taking breaks on her own when she can. Also elfroot. A lot of it. 36. What was the most difficult choice that had to make?

Whether to disband the inquisition or not.

38. Emotionally, what was their reaction at Sahrina Quarry? The realisation made her nauseous to her core, the poor people there didn't deserve all that and she wishes she could have helped them sooner.

40. Do they get Cullen to start taking lyrium again? Why or why not?

Absolutely not. She supports his decision and provides him with counsel and comfort when he needs it. They are devoted friends, And seeing him overcome his addiction makes her proud. She trusts in him, she knows he can continue his work without the lyrium.

42. How do they view Tevinter? Oof. Yeah.. well considering she is an elf, she doesn't much like the place at all. The only good thing to come out of it is Dorian, who she loves dearly.

44. How do they think their race plays into being Inquisitor? It definitely does. A whole big deal. She is a dalish standing for all peoples. No matter their origin. She is the proof that everyone is worthy of respect. And she openly wants to use her power to advance the elves. 46. Which companion/adviser makes them think twice about their choices, if any?

Dorian. His voice is one of reason and she takes his counsel constantly. Also they have fun little outings that involve a lot of vintage wine and gossip. All the advisors are important to her, she listens carefully to josie cullen and leliana. Also cassandra. And cole. I think the only one she doesn't listen to is viv. ;) 48. What do they think about the Hero of Ferelden?

She doesn't know much about the hero of ferelden. Before the inquisition she kept to the clan and their worries, but she reads up on their story later in the library and finds herself feeling some level of connection to them, they both stand for something better after all. 50. Are they proud of what they accomplished? Yes. Despite everything. She feels like being a part of this whole inquisition took a lot from her, almost everything, but she is proud of what she has accomplished and the changes she's made to the world.
